Objective To present the status of smoking control in the Health and Family Planning System in Hubei Province, and to provide scientific basis for smoking control through secret investigations. Methods During the period from July to August in 2015, 168 sanitary Health and Family Planning institutions were chosen by stratified selection to make questionnaires based on Evaluation Standards for Smoke-free Health and Family Planning Institutions issued by the National Health and Family Planning Commission of the People's Republic of China. Secret investigations were conducted in 165 sampled institutions and comparisons were made between smoke-free environment establishment as well as execution processes according to the fraction after converting into centesimal system (actual score/reserved portion × 100). Results The overall score for smoking control in Health and Family Planning System of Hubei Province has climbed to 79.29 ± 12.40.compared to that of 2011 has increased, but 1.6 lower than the national comprehensive evaluated score of 2014. The score of the city (82.14 ± 10.51) proved to be higher than that of the province (66.51±19.69) and the county, (75.35±13.40);disease control institutions (84.77± 9.45) enjoyed a higher score that the others with lowest scores in medical institutions (72.80 ± 14.95);Xianning won the highest score (88.52±5.12);Jingmen (69.81±5.16) and Xiaogan (67.92±7.98) proved to be the lowest in their scores. Nine regions in 17 embraced a lowest discrepancy of over 30 scores and the highest discrepancy of 50.94 scores between the highest score and the lowest among different institutions;12.73% (21/165) medical institutions had no publicity materials; 5/17 municipal institutions and 3/10 county level institutions were still found selling cigarettes, with only 46.06%(76/165) institutions reaching the standard of banning smoking in indoor places, 21.21%(35/165) institutions still have indoor smoking in non-working places, 1.82%(3/165) institutions have indoor smoking in working places. Only 18 (32.14%) institutions out of 56 medical institutions investigated have established smoking cessation clinics. Conclusions Banning-smoking work is less optimistic in general for Health and Family Planning System in Hubei Province, especially for substratum health and family planning institutions. All kinds of departments should take drastic measures to guaranttee the establishment of smoking-free environment.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2009;(16):728-730
Objective:To evaluate the vestibular function of motion sickness. Method:VNG, which tests the vestibular function of horizontal semicircular canal, and CPT, which tests vestibulospinal reflex and judge proprio-ceptive,visual and vestibular status, were performed in 30 motion sickness pations and 20 healthy volunteers(control group). Graybiel score was recorded at the same time. Result:Two groups' Graybiel score (12. 67±11. 78 vs 2. 10±6. 23;rank test P<0. 05),caloric test labyrinth value [(19. 02±8. 59)°/s vs (13. 58±5. 25)°/s ;t test P< 0. 05],caloric test labyrinth value of three patients in motion sickness group exceeded 75°/s. In computerized pos-tourgrphy testing(CPT) , motion sickness patients were central type(66. 7%) and disperse type(23.3%);all of contral group were central type. There was statistical significance in two groups' CTP area, and motion sickness group was obviously higher than control group. While stimulating vestibulum in CPT, there was abnormality (35%-50%)in motion sickness group and none in contral group. Generally evaluating CPT,there was only 2 pro-prioceptive hypofunction,3 visual hypofunction, and no vestibular hypofunction, but none hypofunction in contral group. Conclusions Motion sickness patients have high vestibular susceptible, some with vestibular hyperfunction. In posturography,a large number of motion sickness patients are central type but no vestibular hypofunction, but it is hard to keep balance when stimulating vestibulum.

Objective The clinical value of ifrst-trimester standard ultrasound views in screening for fetal structural abnormalities. Methods From September 2008 to March 2011, transabdominal sonographic screening by standard ultrasound views was performed in 3 134 viable singleton pregnancies during the ifrst trimester at Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital. Used the following views:(1) Fetal proifle;(2) Neck sagittal;(3) Skull and brain;(4) Thorax;(5) Abdomen;(6) Bladder;(7) Upper limbs, and (8) Lower limbs. The women underwent 20-to 24-week and 28-to 32-week ultrasound examination if the anatomical survey was normal during the ifrst trimester. Follow-up was obtained by reviewing of the birth records from hospital charts. Results Sixteen prenatal abnormalities were detected at 11-to 13-week scan (including one case of encephalocele and meningoceles, one case of endothelial cushion defect and single umbilical artery, one case of ectopia cordis, gastroschisis, and spinal abnormalities, two cases of exencephaly, one case of anencephaly, one case of gastroschisis and lower limb malformation, two cases of omphalocele, one case of encephalocele, ectopia cordis, and gastroschisis, one case of single ventricle, one case of endothelial cushion defect, four cases of hyhrop). All of the 13 women decided on termination of pregnancy. Three suspected structural abnormalities (hydrops) detected at the ifrst-trimester scan were found as normal after birth. Seven cases were diagnosed at 20-to 24-week scan (including one case of dextrocardiac and double outlet right ventricle;two cases of endothelial cushion defects;one case of trisomy 21 with VSD;one case of omphalocele, one case of short ulna and radial with wrist distortion, and one case of club foot). One case of diaphragmatic hernia was detected at 32-week scan. Two cases (one case of cardiac defects and one case of ear deformity) were identified after birth. Of all the 3 134 fetuses, follow-up was obtained in 2 822 cases, 312 cases were excluded from the analysis because the outcome of their pregnancy could not be traced. Twenty-three fetuses with at least one major structural defect detected by prenatal ultrasonography were confirmed by follow-up. The sensitivity of the standard first-trimester ultrasound views was 56.5%(13/23), speciifcity was 99.9%(2 796/2 799), CR was 99.6%(2 812/2 822), and the false negative rate was 43.5%(10/23). Conclusions The standard views of the ifrst trimester are feasible and effective in screening the major fetal abnormalities including exencephaly, anencephaly, gastroschisis, omphalocele, ectopia cordis and single ventricle. However, ultrasound screening in early pregnancy still has some limitations, continuous scanning in different stages of pregnancy is necessary.

10.Mitochondrial respiratory chain complex Ⅱ deficiency and diseases.
Chinese Journal of Contemporary Pediatrics 2012;14(10):723-727
This article reviews the structure and function of mitochondrial respiratory chain complex Ⅱ, and the clinical features, diagnosis, treatment and genetic analysis of mitochondrial respiratory chain complex Ⅱ deficiency. Mitochondrial complex Ⅱ, known as succinate dehydrogenase, is a part of the mitochondrial respiratory chain. It plays an important role in cellular oxidative phosphorylation. It is associated with oxidative stress and is a sensitive target for toxic substances and abnormal metabolin in cells. Clinical manifestations of respiratory chain complex Ⅱ deficiency are characterized by a wide variety of abnormalities. Progressive neuromuscular dysfunction is the most common syndrome. Cardiomyopathy, episodic vomit and hemolytic uremic syndrome are also encountered in a few cases. A precise diagnosis is dependent on enzyme activities assay of respiratory chain complexes and genetic analysis. Complex Ⅱ activities decreased in affected tissues. Pathogenic mutations in SDHA gene and SDHAF1 gene encoding assembly factor have been found so far. Clinical treatment aims at improving the mitochondrial function.
