AIM: To investigate the effect of mydriasis optometry combined with amblyopia treatment on refraction and amblyopia changes in children with mixed astigmatism and amblyopia.METHODS: Totally 163 children (289 eyes) of mixed astigmatism and amblyopia from January 2010 to May 2011 were treated. All of the patients received mydriatic optometry and spectaculars with amblyopia therapy and were followed up for 5a to observe amblyopia efficacy and refractive status changes.RESULTS: With 5a, main diameter diopter at distant vision decreased year by year, average decline in the first year was 0.55DS, 0.56DS in the second year, 0.72DS in the third year, 0.95DS in the fourth year, 1.89DS in the fifth year. The spherical equivalent changed from 1.12DS at distant to 0.78DS at near. The corrected visual acuity of all the patients at first visit was 0.2-0.8 with varying degrees amblyopia. After a 5-year treatment, it was effective in 268 eyes (92.7%), in which 165 eyes (57.1%) improved, 103 eyes (35.6%) cured, the results was better as the period of spectaculars wearing was longer. There was 36 eyes (37.5%) improved and 60 eyes (62.5%) cured in 1.50-2.50DC group;118 eyes (74.2%) improved, 41 eyes (25.8%) cured in 2.50-3.50DC group;11 eyes (32.3%) improved, 2 eyes (5.9%) cured, 21 eyes (61.8%) useless in >3.50DC Group. The differences of efficacy among the groups were significant (all P<0.05).CONCLUSION: Appropriate spectaculars is the basic for amblyopia treatment. It is effective for most children with mixed astigmatism and amblyopia to take mydriasis optometry and amblyopia treatment.

To systematically review the incidence rate of adverse drug reaction/event by Qingkailing injection. Such databases as the PubMed, EMbase, the Cochrane library, CNKI, VIP WanFang data and CBM were searched by computer from foundation to July 30, 2015. Two reviewers independently screened literature according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, extracted data and cross check data. Then, Meta-analysis was performed by using the R 3.2.0 software, subgroup sensitivity analysis was performed based on age, mode of medicine, observation time and research quality. Sixty-three studies involving 9,793 patients with Qingkailing injection were included, 367 cases of adverse reactions/events were reported in total. The incidence rate of adverse reaction in skin and mucosa group was 2% [95% CI (0.02; 0.03)]; the digestive system adverse reaction was 6% [95% CI(0.05; 0.07); the injection site adverse reaction was 4% [95% CI (0.02; 0.07)]. In the digestive system as the main types of adverse reactions/events, incidence of children and adults were 4.6% [0.021 1; 0.097 7] and 6.9% [0.053 5; 0.089 8], respectively. Adverse reactions to skin and mucous membrane damage as the main performance/event type, the observation time > 7 days and ≤ 7 days incidence of 3% [0.012 9; 0.068 3] and 1.9% [0.007 8; 0.046 1], respectively. Subgroup analysis showed that different types of adverse reactions, combination in the incidence of adverse reactions/events were higher than that of single drug, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). This study suggested the influence factors of adverse reactions occur, and clinical rational drug use, such as combination, age and other fators, and the influence factors vary in different populations. Therefore, clinical doctors for children and the elderly use special care was required for a clear and open spirit injection, the implementation of individualized medication.

AIM: To observe the role of c-fos in the protection by cholecystokinin-octapeptide (CCK-8) against pulmonary artery smooth muscle cell (PASMC) injury induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS). METHODS: The ultrastructure of PASMC was observed under transmission electron microscope (TEM). MDA content,LDH release and the rate of trypan blue in PASMC were measured, and immunocytochemistry technique was adopted to observe the c-fos protein expression. RESULTS: The TEM results showed significant PASMC structural injury in LPS group and alleviated structural changes in LPS+CCK-8 group. CCK-8 reduced the increase in the rate of trypan blue uptake,MDA content and LDH release in PASMC induced by LPS. LPS lightly increased c-fos protein expression, which was enhanced by CCK-8. CONCLUSION: CCK-8 attenuated the injury of PASMC induced by LPS,which may be concerned with the increase in c-fos protein expression.

OBJECTIVETo observe the improvements of synchronous treatment of bilateral scalp acupuncture and rehabilitation training on activities of daily life in patients with cerebral infarction at acute phase, so as to compare the efficacy differences between scalp acupuncture at bilateral and affected side as well as differences between synchronous and non-synchronous treatment.
METHODSNinety patients of acute-phase cerebral infarction with motor dysfunction were randomly divided into three groups. The observation group was treated with synchronous treatment of scalp acupuncture at the Dingzhongxian (middle line of vertex), bilateral Dingnieqianxiexian (anterior oblique line of vertex-temporal) and bilateral Dingniehouxiexian (posterior oblique line of vertex-temporal) and rehabilitation training; the control group A was treated with synchronous treatment of affected scalp acupuncture at the Dingzhongxian, affected Dingnieqianxiexian and affected Dingniehouxiexian and rehabilitation training; the control group B was treated with bilateral scalp acupuncture for 4 h, followed by rehabilitation training. All the patients took the treatment once a day, and 6 days for a course of treatment for total of 4 courses. The modified Barthel index (MBI), activities of daily living (ADL) and Fugl-Meyer motor assessment (FMA) were used to perform efficacy assessment before treatment, in the 14th days of treatment and in the 28th days of treatment in three groups.
RESULTSAfter treatment, three indices at each time point were superior to those before the treatment in three groups (all P<0.01) ; the improvements of ADL and FMA in the observation group after 28 days of treatment were superior to those in the control group A and control group B (all P<0.05), and the improvement of MBI was superior to that in the control group B (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe synchronous treatment of bilateral scalp acupuncture and rehabilitation training could significantly improve the activities of daily life and motor function in patients with cerebral infarction at acute phase, which is superior to scalp acupuncture at affected side and non-synchronous treatment.

The strain Acidiphilium cryptum DX1-1 producing PHB was irradiated respectively by UV and Co60 to raise PHB production. The results indicated that the effect of UV better than using Co60. One strain of the UV mutagenized called UV60-3 has the highest PHB production yield, showing final PHB concentra- tion of 28.56 g/L, 1.45 times higher than that of original strain. FT-IR spectroscopy analysis shows that the polymers obtained from the strain DX1-1 have the same IR spectra of standard PHB. Further research about the best appropriate C/N ratio of the mutant was done. The optimum ratio of C/N was about 3.76, the final PHB concentration reaches to 30.57 g/L.

Objective To study expressions of heme oxygenase-1 mRNA and protein in rat hippocampus after hypoxic-ischemia brain damage(HIBD) as well as the relationship with apoptosis in brain. Methods Seven-day-old SD rats were randomly divided into hypoxic-ischemia brain damage group and sham control group.Expressions of HO-1 protein and mRNA as welll as the relationship with apoptosis after HIBD in neonatal rat were determined by immunohisochemistry and in situs hybridizaion as well as terminal deoxynucleotidy transferase mediated UTP-biotin nick end labeling(TUNEL).Results 1.In the right hippocampus, expression of HO-1 gene increased sharply at 4 h (P
