ObjectiveTo explore the effect of Songlingxuemaikang combined with losartan on the blood pressure and quality of life in female patients with menopausal hypertension.Methods87 female patients with menopausal hypertension were randomly divided into combined group (Songlingxuemaikang combined with losartan group,44 cases) and the control group(losartan alone,43 cases).Before and after treatment the ambulatory blood pressure (ABMP) was monitored for 24h,and blood lipids and clinical symptoms were observed.ResultsAfter two months treatment,the blood pressure variability and nighttime blood pressure decrease rate of the combination group significantly reduced,and better than those of the control group( all P ＜0.05) ;The effective rate and efficiency rate of the combination group were 90.9％,63.6％ respectively,and was higher than 74.4％,39.5％ in the control group( x2 =4.15,5.06,all P ＜ 0.05 ).The clinical symptoms improving,total cholesterol ( TC ) reducing,density lipoprotein (LDL-C) lowing in the combination group was superior to the control group( all P ＜ 0.05).ConclusionSonglingxuemaikang combined with losartan in treatment of female patients with menopausal hypertension had a good antihypertensive effect,and could reduce blood pressure variability in menopausal women,improve the symptoms of menopause and lipid metabolism,incresse the quality of lfie of patients with menopausal hypertensive.

Background Nerve growth factor (NGF) plays an important role in the maintenance of the tear film stability.It is well known that the damage of ocular surface causes dry eye in the patients with thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy (TAO).However,if NGF is helpful for the stability of tear film is unclear.Objective This study was to investigate the relationship of NGF concentration in tear with tear film stability in TAO patient before and after glucocorticoid treatment.Methods Prospective observational cohort study was designed.This study was approved by the Ethic Committee of Binzhou Medical College,and written informed consent was obtained from each subject before entering this trial.Thirty-eight patients with active TAO and thirty age-and gender-matched controls were enrolled in the study.Prednisolone acetate tablets were administered in TAO patients for 4 weeks at a back-titration regimen.The tear fluid was collected and NGF level was detected by ELISA.Clinical activity score (CAS) was evaluated under the slit lamp lamp.Schirmer Ⅰ test (S Ⅰ t) was performed and breakup time of tear film (BUT) was obtained in controls and patients with active TAO before and 4 weeks after steroid treatment.Results Baseline NGF levels in tear was higher in the patients with active TAO than in the controls (U=-5.026,P＜0.01).NGF level decreased from 46.23 (42.34,51.42) ng/L to 27.45 (19.38,29.12) ng/L 4 weeks after steroid treatment (Z=-6.172,P＜0.05),and CASdecreased significantly from 6 (5,7) to4 (2,5) (Z=-2.496,P＜0.01).SⅠtvalue increased from 6 (4,11) mm to 11 (7,16) mm 4 weeks after steroid treatment (Z =-4.286,P＜0.05),and the BUT prolonged from 5 (3,9) seconds to 11 (6,14) seconds(Z=-3.160,P＜0.05).NGF levels in active TAO was significantly correlated with CAS (r=0.645,P＜0.01),S Ⅰ t value (r =-0.530,P＜0.01) and BUT (r =-0.430,P＜0.01).Conclusions Tear NGF may stabilized the tear film.The application of steroid anti-inflammation drug can reduce the tear NGF level,increase the tear secretion and improve the tear film stability in patients with active TAO.

Objective:By analyzing the principle and mechanism of far-infrared radiation therapy, explore the far infrared radiation therapy for arteriovenous fistula function protection significance. Methods: Summarized and analyzed in hemodialysis patients arteriovenous fistula dysfunction causes and hazards, combined with clinical results, analyzed the intervention and protective effect of far-infrared radiation therapy for arteriovenous fistula.Results: Long-term treatment of far-infrared radiation play a very effective role in the intervention and protection for arteriovenous fistula function maintenance.Conclusion: By analyzing the principle and mechanism of far infrared radiation therapy, summed arteriovenous fistula dysfunction reasons. Clarified the far-infrared radiation therapy has a positive clinical significance in hemodialysis patients arteriovenous fistula function of protection.

Objective To establish embryonic stem cells (ESC) that can express green fluorescent protein (CFP) and differentiate them into neurons. It would provide tagging neurons for clinical transplantation to cure neural system diseases. Methods ESC (R1) was transfeeted with a plasmid containing the GFP by electroporation. A transgeuic cell line was obtained after selection with G418. The ESCs were characterized by AKP staining. Monolayer differentiation method was used to induce neural differentiation derived from GFP-ESC and immunofluorescence method was used to identify Tuj1 positive cells. Results There was no significant difference(X2=3.14,P0.05) in transfect rates between liposome and electroporation (65% vs 79%). The AKP staining of GFP-ESC was positive. GFP-ESC could be differentiated into neural cells. Conclusions These results show that ESC expressing GFP has been estabhshed, which can be differemiated into neurons.

BACKGROUND: The lipid peroxide, monoamine oxidase, and superoxide dismutase are the important biochemical pharmacological indexes to test the ability of eliminating the free radicals of organism. The lipid peroxide is also a quantitative index of senility oxidation.OBJECTIVE: To test the effect of taibai yangshen on resisting free radicals through testing the serum lipid peroxide, monoamine oxidase (MAO),and superoxide dismutase (SOD) of the senile rats.DESIGN: A random control experiment.SETTING: Pharmacy Department of Shaanxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).MATERIALS: The experiment was done in March 2002 in the pharmacological Experimental Base of Shaanxi College of TCM. The 40 healthy young rats and 40 old rats were selected. The water extract of ground taibai yangshen was concentrated to 1.5 g/mL. The ginseng decoction was concentrated to 0.3 g/mL.METHODS: The young and old rats were randomized into 8 groups:young normal control group, young ginseng group, young taibai yangshen big dosage group, young taibai yangshen small dosage group, old normal control group, old ginseng group, old taibai yangshen big dosage group, and old taibai yangshen small dosage group. Ten rats were in each group. Seven days for adaptation to the environment. Then the normal control group was gastro-perfused daily with the distilled water 20 g/kg, the ginseng the taibai yangshen big and small dosage groups were gastro-perfused daily spectively. Thirty-five days later, the rats were cut heads in the state of anesthesia. The serum was centrifuged. The sulfuration barbituric acid was adopted to test the concentration of malondialdehyde (MDA), the ultraviolet absorption was adopted to test the activity of MAO, and the xanthine oxidase was adopted to test the activity of SOD.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The concentration of MDA and the activity of MAO and SOD.groups and the taibai yangshen big and small dosage groups, the concentration of MDA and the activity of MAO were lower than that of the normal control groups (P ＜ 0.05-0.01), the activity of SOD was higher than yangshen small dosage group, the concentration of MDA and the activity of MAO were higher than that of the young taibai yangshen small dosage group [(8.23±1.73), (6.73±1.69) μmol/L; (41.7±15.9), (40.9±14.6) nkat/L,P ＜ 0.05]. In the old taibai yangshen big and small dosage groups, the activity of SOD was lower than that of the young taibai yangshen big and small dosage groups [(386.75±26.71), (403.49±21.58) NU/mL; (382.13±20.07),(389.69±24.45) NU/mL, P ＜ 0.05].CONCLUSION: Taibai yangshen functions well to inhibit the MAO, reduce the lipid peroxide, and enhance the activity of SOD, able to resist the free radicals to put off aging.

Objective The study aimed to investigate the best extraction process and the analgesia and anti-inflammatory properties of total flavonoids from Euphorbia prolifera. Methods Through single factor experiment and orthogonal test,factors that affect the extraction yield of total flavonoids were studied,including the extraction time,solid to liquid ratio, ethanol concentration and extraction times. The mice models of ear edema induced by xylene and twisting induced by acetic acid were used to evaluate the analgesia and anti-inflammatory effects of different extractions from Euphorbia prolifera. Results Total flavonoids were extracted by the refluxing method,and the optimum conditions were extracting for 3 hours,solid to liquid ratio of 1:30,ethanol content of 60% in the solvent,and processed for 2 times. The highest extraction yield of total flavonoids from Euphorbia prolifera was 5. 63%. The ethanol,ethyl acetate and n-butanol extracts decreased twisting and ear swelling in mice. Conclusion The extraction for total flavonoids from Euphorbia prolifera is simple,efficient and reproducible. The ethanol,ethyl acetate and n-butanol extracts of total flavonoids have obvious analgesia and anti-inflammatory effects.

Hilar cholangiocarcinoma is a common bile duct cancer.The radical resection rate of end-stage malignancies reported in literature is about 20％.Half of the patients have lost the chance of operation at the time of care,while the average survival time in the patients who can not be operated is about six months.Therefore,for most patients,looking for a palliative treatment which can prolong the survival time is particularly important.From June 2013 to June 2014,our hospital applied iodine-125 brachytherapy,to treat 7 patients with unresectable hilar cholangio carcinoma.All the patients are still alive,the average survival time of 7 patients is 5.2 months up to now,with median survival time being 7.8 months,and longest survival time being 12 months.With good outcomes,few complications,as well as significantly prolonged survival time,iodine125 brachytherapy is regarded with broad clinical applications.

Aim: To explore the relationship between structure and immunological activity of marine polysaccha-ride YCP,the physicochemical property and immunological activity of the YCP-derived fragment were studied.Methods: YCP was hydrolyzed by α-amylase from human saliva.The hydrolysate was purified to obtain an polysaccharide fragment by gel filtration chromatography.The physicochemical properties of this YCP-derived fragment was characterized by HPLC,FT-IR and TLC.In addition,changes of phagocytic activity,production of reactive nitrogen and macrophage binding were investigated.Results: The relative molecular weight of YCP-de-rived fragment was approximately 6.6 × 10~3.The monosaccharide composition and FT-IR of the YCP-derived frag-ment were identical to YCP.No significant effect of the YCP-derived fragment on NO production and murine mac-rophage phagocyte were observed.And this fragment was not able to compete the binding between YCP and mac-rophages.Conclusion: The remarkable decrease of immunological activity of YCP-derived fragments degraded byα-amylase of human saliva suggests that the complete structure and high molecule weight of YCP are essential for its immuno-modulatory activity.

Objective To measure the expression of Caspase-3 and P-gp in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and adjacent tissues, and to examine these two proteins' relationships with HCC clinical and pathological characteristics and the associations between the two proteins. Methods The expression of Caspase-3 and P-gp were measured in 50 HCC tissues and adjacent tissues by EnvisionTM immunohistochemistry. HCC clinic and pathological characteristics and follow-up data were also collected and analyzed. Results The expression of Caspase-3 in HCC tissues was significantly lower than that in adjacent tissues(P <0.05). The expression of Caspase-3 in HCC tissues was significantly associated with HCC's Edmonson grade and the presence of hepatitis envelope(P <0.05). On the other hand, the expression of P-gp in HCC tissues was significantly higher than that in adjacent tissues( P <0.05 ). P-gp expression in HCC tissues was significantly correlated with HCC's Edmonson grade and the presence of cirrhosis(P < 0.05 ). The expression of Caspase-3 and P-gp was negatively correlated ( r = - 0. 600,P = 0.000). A better prognosis was observed among HCC patients with either positive Caspase-3 expression or negative P-gp expression(P < 0.05). Conclusion Caspase-3 may promote apoptosis and inhibit the development of HCC, while P-gp may have an anti-apoptosis function and play a role in HCC's drug resistance. P-gp can inhibit the function of Caspase-3 and an absence or low expression of Caspase-3 may be related to apoptosis resistance and multidrug resistance.

Aim To study the mutidrugresistance mechanism of tumor cell by comparing the binding pro-tein with Adriamycin(ADM)in the MCF-7/Wild cell and MCF-7/ADM resistance cell.Methods The biotin-ADM compound was synthesized with the esterification-dehydration method,purified with HPLC and analyzed with mass spectrograph.The binding proteins against Adriamycin from MCF-7/ADM or MCF-7/Wild cell whose resistance index is above 200 were obtained respectively by the affinity screening magnetism bead method with biotin-ADM compound as a specific ligand.Some binding proteins with Adriamycin were identified with the MALDI-TOF-MS after isolating them with SDS-PAGE.Cell motor ability was compared in the migration experiment.Results The variability of biotin-ADM and ADM was negligible,while that IC50 of the two compounds to MCF-7/Wild was 0.796 ?mol?L-1 and 0.547 ?mol?L-1 respectively.The 20 types binding proteins with ADM were found from MCF-7/Wild cell,and 17 types binding proteins from MCF-7/ADM resistance cell.There was one protein band difference from the two cells on SDS-PAGE with silver staining.The same binding proteins on the two cells that identified with MALDI-TOF-MS were myosin,beta-actin,alpha-actin,keratin.MCF-7/W and MCF-7/ADM both migrated after being cultivated 72 h,with a faster migration of MCF-7/ADM.Conclusion There are different binding protein with ADM on the MCF-7/Wild cell and MCF-7/ADM resistance cell.The same binding protein with ADM on the two cells belongs to the cystoskeleton protein.The binding of the ADM with the cell cystoskeleton protein has some effect to the migration of the MCF-7/ADM.
