Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2003;0(11):-
Aim To investigate the effects of curcumin on expression of HIF-1? in human hepatocellular carcinoma BEL-7402 cells. Methods Different concentrations of 0,2.5,5,10,15 and 20 ?mol?L~(-1) curcumin-treated human hepatocellular carcinoma BEL-7402 cells were cultured under hypoxia for 6 hours. The cell proliferation and cell viability were assayed by WST-8 and the trypan blue dye exclusion method. The expression level of HIF-1? in human hepatocellular carcinoma BEL-7402 cells was checked by RT-PCR and Western Blot;0,10 ?mol?L~(-1) curcumin,10 ?mol?L~(-1) MG-132,and 10 ?mol?L~(-1) curcumin +10 ?mol? L~(-1) MG-132-treated human hepatocellular carcinoma BEL-7402 cells were cultured under hypoxia for 6 hours. The protein expression level of HIF-1? protein in human hepatocellular carcinoma BEL-7402 cells was checked by Western Blot. Results ① No significant difference was found in the cell proliferation rate and cell viability between control and different concentrations of curcumin.② Curcumin can down-regulate the expression of HIF-1? protein with the increasing concentrations.③ the effect of curcumin on expression of HIF-1?mRNA had no significant difference between control and different concentrations.④ MG-132 can reverse the curcumin-mediated decrease of HIF-1? protein. Conclusion Inhibitory effect of curcumin on expression of HIF-1? in human hepatocellular carcinoma BEL-7402 cells was acted through posttranscriptional mechanisms and the proteasome pathway.

Microbiology 1992;0(06):-
R04, a Gram-positive bacterium, which can use biphenyl as the sole carbon source, was isolated from soil contaminated with oil in northern China. The bacterium has high biphenyl degradation efficiency and also can degrade polychlorinated biphenyl congeners, Aroclor1221 and Aroclor 1242. The bacterium was identified as Rhodococcus pyridinovorans by the method of 16S rDNA gene sequencing (accession No. AY072745).

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(14):-
Objective To explore the change of serum level of neuron specific enolase (NSE) in neonates with asphyxia before and after head mild hypothermia. Methods Eighty-two asphyxial neonates were selected, including 39 mild asphyxial neonates and 43 severe asphy-xial neonates, and 29 healthy neonates were selected as control group.Forty-three severe asphyxial neonates were randomly assigned into mild hypothermia treatment group and traditional treatment group.Neonates in traditional treatment group were just given traditional treatment. While neonates in mild hypothermia treatment group received head mild hypothermia therapy and their nasopharyngeal temperature were maintained at(34.0 ? 0.5) ℃ for 72 h.Before treatment and 72 h after treatment,2 mL blood was collected, and the serum NSE was determined by radio immunoassay. Results NSE levels in mild asphyxial neonates group[(34.83?6.17) ?g/L] and severe asphyxial group[(59.58?8.87) ?g/L] were significantly higher than that of control group[(30.57?4.88) ?g/L](t=3.07 P0.05).The level of NSE at 72 h in severe asphyxial neonates with head mild hypothermia therapy[(40.97?6.55) ?g/L] was significantly lower than that of traditional treatment group [(48.15?5.57) ?g/L](t=3.86 P
6.Applications of Porous Scaffolds in Muscle Tissue Engineering.
Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2015;32(6):1343-1347
Scaffold is one of the key elements required for tissue engineering. Porous scaffolds have several special advantages for muscle tissue engineering, and they are beneficial to cell survival, myogenic differentiation, and vascular ingrowth. The performance of porous scaffolds is closely related to the property of the biomaterials used. Additionally, the pore size and porosity may affect cell adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation. This review focuses on the application of porous scaffolds in muscle tissue engineering, including their categories, application, and advantages.

7.Therapeutic effects of focused ultrasound on chronic cervicitis and the influencing factors
Chinese Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2001;0(01):-
Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of focused ultrasound(FU)on chronic cervicitis unitarily and its influential factors. Methods Three hundred and thirteen patients of chronic cervicitis were treated with the device of CZF model focused ultrasound. The therapeutic effects in 300 cases with complete records,as well as the relationship between the diameter of cervical erosion and the exposure time to FU were analyzed. Results The effective rates of FU in treatment of chronic cervicitis unitarily were 100.0%(53/53),95.2%(120/126)and 91.7%(111/121),respectively,for mild, moderate and severe cases. The overall effective rate was 94.7%(284/300).With other parameters of FU unchanged, the exposure time to FU showed an exponential relationship with the diameter of erosion, and the regression equation was D=31.71e~(0.4808t)(R~2=0.9966).Conclusions The controllability and achievement ratio of FU to treat cervical erosion could be enhanced when exposure time and manners were fully considered based on the diameter and type of cervical erosion.A satisfactory therapeutic efficacy could be achieved with FU to treat cervical erosion unitarily.

Objective To study the signal transduction mechanism of nicotine induced periodontal ligament fibroblasts (PDLFs) apoptosis. Methods This study used 1 μg/ml, 10μg/ml and 100μg/ml nicotine to intervene PDLFs cells for 24h separately. NF-κB, p53, I-κB and Caspase3 expression were detected. Results After Nicotine was done on PDLFs cells for 24h, the transcription of p53, and Caspase3,and the translation of Caspase 3 protein were increased, while NF-κB was decreased. At the same time, the transcription of NF-κB decreased gradually with the concentration of nicotine increased ( r = 0. 707, F =33. 705, P <0. 01 ), nevertheless, I-κB was reversed ( r =0. 964, F =374. 883, P <0. 01 ). p53 expression was increased gradually with the concentration of nicotine increased ( r =0. 957, F = 153. 377, P <0. 01).Both Caspase3 mRNA (r =0.935, F =318.371, P <0.01) and protein (r =0.677, F =8. 459, P < 0. 05 )increased gradually. Conclusion Nicotine induced PDLFs apoptosis was mediated through NF-κB and p53 pathway.

Objective To study the related factors of recurrence after myomectomy. Methods The clinical data of 441 cases with myomectomy were collected. The age at the time of operation, body mass index(BMI), preoperative parity, and the location, size and number of myomas were recorded, and the postoperative recurrence rate was calculated. Univariate and multivariate analysis were performed for possible factors related to recurrence. Results The average time of follow-up was(37.79?18.64) months. Recurrence was found in 125 cases, and 5-year cumulative rate of recurrence was 38.9%. The age at the time of operation, BMI, number of myomas and preoperative parity were related factors of recurrence(P

To assess the impact of the operational simulation training system on the cultivation of ophthalmic students.
●METHODS: Four hundred and eighty ophthalmic students in China Medical University from 2009 to 2011 were chosen as objects and divided into two groups at random. The students in the experimental group used operation simulation training system combined with traditional teaching methods, while the students in the control group only used traditional teaching methods. We examined the operation skills and the confidence of all the students half a year later.
●RESULTS: The improvement of the operation skills during the suture technique examination, and the confidence for operation technology were significantly different in two groups. The basic skills of the students in the examination groups improved apparently during the operational simulation training and they were full of confidence to their operational technique.
●CONCLUSlON: The operational simulation training is useful for promoting the clinical ability for ophthalmic students and should be widely popularized.
