1.Heat shock protein and atherosclerosis
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(01):-
Studying of atherosclerosis is more than a hundred year. There are many theories about this disease, but now most of us seems to agree with the stress-reponse theory.Heat shock proteins are the products produced at the first stage of atherosclerosis. And someone think that it may have something to do with atherosclerosis. This paper discussed the heat shock proteins and atherosclerosis respectively, and emphasized the relationship between them.

Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2010;29(7):541-543
Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of radiofrequency endovenous obliteration (RFO) on superficial varicosities in lower extremity in the elderly. Methods The clinical data of 35 elderly patients (43 limbs) with primary great saphenous varicose vein, who were treated with RFO (20 limbs) or RFO in combination with high ligation procedures (23 limbs), were analyzed retrospectively. The therapeutic effects were evaluated at 1-3 years after RFO by the improvement of clinical symptom and signs, as well as results of color Doppler ultrasonography. Results Compared with single RFO group, the obstruction rate of great saphenous vein was higher [21(91.3%) vs. 14(70.0%), χ2 =5.467, P < 0. 05], and the recanalization rate was lower [2(8.7%) vs. 8(30.0%),χ2=4.251, P<0.05] in RFO combined with high ligation group. The recurrence rate of local varicose veins was lower[0 vs. 4(20. 0%),χ2 =7. 030, P<0. 013 in RFO plos high ligation group than in single RFO group. Conclusions RFO is an effective treatment with less trauma, more safety and less scars. Combined with high ligation procedure, the effectiveness may be better.

Journal of Clinical Hepatology 2014;30(10):1064-1066
Objective To explore the early diagnostic values of serum alpha -fetoprotein (AFP),gamma -glutamyltransferase Ⅱ (GGTⅡ),and Golgi protein 73 (GP73)in patients with primary hepatocellular carcinoma (PHC).Methods The serum specimens of 100 pa-tients with liver diseases (50 cases of hepatitis and liver cirrhosis and 50 cases of PHC)and 50 healthy people were collected in our hospital from February 2013 to February 2014.Electrochemical luminescence technique, specific immuno -membrane adsorption assay, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay were used to measure the serum levels of AFP,GGTⅡ,and GP73.Comparison of continuous data between multiple groups was made by analysis of variance, and comparison between two groups was made by q test. The receiver operating character-istic (ROC)curves of single or combined test results were made, and the areas under the ROC curves (AUCs)were calculated. The sensi-tivity,specificity,and AUCs of AFP,GGTⅡ,GP73,and the combined test were analyzed and compared. Results The level of serum GGTⅡ in the PHC group was significantly different compared with those in the other two groups (F =16.224,P <0.05),but there was no significant difference between the normal group and the hepatitis and liver cirrhosis group (P >0.05).Significant differences in serum levels of AFP and GP73 were observed by paired comparison between the PHC group, hepatitis and liver cirrhosis group, and normal group (F =193.128,F =20.231,P <0.05 for both). When assayed alone, the specificities of GP73,GGTⅡ,and AFP were 69%,64% and 51%, respectively, and the sensitivities were 92%,84%,and 76%,respectively.In combined test, the specificity was 94.6% and the sensitivi-ty was 98.8%.Conclusion The GP73 test is the best performer in the single assays.Combined test of serum AFP,GGTⅡ,and GP73 shows a good diagnostic value for PHC with greatly improved specificity and sensitivity.

Objective To investigate the effect of hyperoxia on the expressions of cysteinyl aspartate specific proteinase -3(Caspase -3)and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA)in bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs).Methods Primary BMSCs from SD rats were cultured in vitro,BMSCs grew to 70% -80% degrees of fu-sion and then were randomly divided into room air group and hyperoxia exposure group. Each group was divided into 5 sub -groups,and cultured for 0,3,6,1 2,and 24 h respectively.Morphology investigation with inverted phase contrast microscope was adopted. The expressions of Caspase -3 and PCNA protein levels were detected by Western blot. Results (1 )As time wenty by,compared with room air group, the gap between cells increased, some of the cells be-came circular, and cell detachment and floating appeared in the hyperoxia -exposure group (>1 2 h)compared with room air group.(2)As time went on,compared with the room air group, the expression levels of Caspase -3 protein in the hyperoxia -exposure group were increased, and the difference was significant after 6 hours of culture (0.27 ± 0.04 vs 0.1 4 ±0.02,t =5.03,P =0.007).(3)Compared with room air group, the PCNA levels of the hyperoxiaexpo-sure group(6 h)decreased, and the difference in PCNA protein expression levels was significant after 6 hours of culture (0.27 ±0.04 vs 0.38 ±0.04,t =3.37,P =0.028).Conclusions Hyperoxia exposure increases Caspase -3 expres-sion levels and decreases PCNA expression, which may affect the proliferation and apoptosis of BMSCs.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 1996;0(02):-
Objective: To design and synthesize a novel vector for rhBMP2 delivery system in tissue engineering. Methods:Dextran glycidol methacrylate(dex-GMA) was synthesized with dextran(dex) and glycidol methacrylate(GMA).Dex-GMA microspheres were prepared by suspension polymerization. The swelling behavior of the microspheres was evaluated by the swelling equilibrium parameter Q. The biodegradation properties of the dextran-based hydrogel microspheres were assessed by the surface morphology before and after biodegradation. Results:Microspheres of dex-GMA in the size(diameter) of 20 to 80 ?m with good configuration were produced. Q value of the microspheres with the diameter of 20-30 ?m was 10.9?3.3,that of those with 70-80 ?m 8.9?6.4.Stirring speed, span-80(emulsifer) quantity and the proportion of dex-GMA affected the size of the microspheres. rhBMP2 was enveloped into the microspheres. Complete degradation of the microspheres was observed during 20 to 40 days at 37 ℃ in normal saline. Conclusion: Dex-GMA hydrogel microspheres may be a release controlling system for rhBMP2 delivery.

[Objective]To observe the change of ultrapathology in the rat model study of experimental lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration.[Method]Thirty-two Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats were divided into two guoups at random, including in the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group was incised through posterior approach along spinous process, resected below erector spinal muscle, the supraspinal and interspinal ligament and the posterior of the zygapophysial joint at the center of the third lumbar spine for providing the rat degeneration of lumbar intervertebral induced by mechanical instability state. The control group was just incised the skin. All of th rats were examined after eight weeks by electronmicroscope.[Result]There was no special ultrapathological characterization after operation in the control group, while in experimented group most chonduocyte-like cells were degenerated or necrotic and their number decreased markedly, collagenous fibrils appeared various kinds of degeneration including fusion, twist and calcification, and there were gaps between the collagen bundles.[Conclusion]Observing the change in the rat model study of experimental lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration by ultrapathology,it can offer the experimental data studying tile degeneration of lumbar intervertebral disc.
