Objective To measure the the expression of TNF-?、IL-6mRNA in liver of rats with alcohol fatty liver, and the amounts of TNF-?and IL-6, to observe the lesion of lipid superoxidation, to explore the pathogenesis of alcohol fatty liver. Methods 23 of SD rats were divided into the normal group(10) and the model group(13),all the rats in the model were given 50% alcohol by daily gavage, and drank 10% alcohol, after 14 weeks, all the rats were killed and the pathological change of liver were observed, the amounts of serum TG,TC,ALT,AST,FFA,MDA,SOD,GSH-PX,TNF-? and IL-6 were examined, the expression of TNF-?、IL-6mRNA was measured. Results In the model ,to different degree, there were some fatty steatosis , the amounts of TG、FFA、MDA、TNF-?and IL-6 were higher than that in the normal group, but the amounts of SOD and GSH-PX lower, in comparison with the normal, the expression of TNF-?mRNAand IL-6mRNA in liver of model were significantly increased. Conclusions long-term of ingestion of potation maybe cause the disorder of lipid metabolic system and alcohol fatty liver came into being. Simultaneously with the enhancement of oxidation stress/lipid superoxidation and abnormity of secretion of some cytokine such as TNF-?and IL-6.

Objective To develop a new method to repair the defect after enlarged excision of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans.Methods This study included 8 patients with dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans measuring 2.5 to 5.5 cm in diameter.All the patients underwent enlarged excision of the affected skin and subcutaneous tissue.The defect measured 12.5 to 17.5 cm in diameter.Sieve skin flaps secured with a vacuum-assisted closure device were used to repair the huge surface defects.Results All the patients experienced the survival of sieve skin flaps at stage Ⅰ after operation,with no infection,effusion or necrosis.No relapse was observed during the 3 to 40 months of follow up.A satisfactory recovery was achieved in skin appearance and function with the formation of a flat scar,and no obvious proliferation occurred.Conclusion The vacuum-assisted closure device offers a safe and simple method for securing skin grafts to the defect after enlarged excision of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans.

Objective To explore the effects of vitrectomy on neovascular glaucoma combined with vitreous hemorrhage. Methods Seven eyes of 7 patients with neovascular glaucoma combined with vitreous hemorrhage underwent vitrectomy combined with phacoemulsification, panretinal photocoagulation, and trabeculectomy. The preoperative visual acuity ranged from light perception to 0.2, and the mean preoperative intraocular pressure was 54 mm Hg (38-64 mm Hg)(1 mm Hg=0.133 kPa). The mean follow-up was 8 months (6-15 months). AIM:To observed the variation regularity of corneal endothelial cells in patients with different diabetes duration after phacoemulsification, and investigate the effects of diabetes and its disease duration on corneal endothelial cells.
METHODS: Ninety-seven ( 135 eyes ) cataract patients with diabetes were selected randomly and divided into GroupⅠ( which diabetes duration ≥10a) and GroupII(which diabetes duration <10a) according to their disease duration. Additionally 62 (89 eyes) age-related cataract patients were randomly selected as the control group. The corneal endothelial cell density ( CD ) , proportion of hexagonal cell and coefficient of variation ( CV ) in the three group patients were measured respectively before phacoemulsification and after surgery. And the measurement results were statistically analyzed.
RESULTS:The corneal endothelial CD and proportion of hexagonal cell in the three group were decreased after surgery compared with preoperative. But the CV of corneal endothelial cells was increased on the 1 st wk and in 1st mo after surgery compared with the preoperative. The difference was statistically significant (P<0. 05). The corneal endothelial CD and proportion of hexagonal cell in the two diabetic groups were lower than the control group after surgery. However, the CV of corneal endothelial cells was higher than the control group. The difference was statistically significant ( P < 0.05 ) . There was no significant difference in the corneal endothelial CD, proportion of hexagonal cell and CV between the two diabetic groups before phacoemulsification (P>0. 05). The proportion of hexagonal cell in Group Ⅰ was lower than which in GroupIIafter surgery. While the CV was higher than which in Group II. The difference was statistically significant (P<0. 05).
CONCLUSION: Phacoemulsification has some damage on the corneal endothelial. Since the impact of diabetes on the morphology and function of corneal endothelial cell was related to the diabetic duration. So phacoemulsification has more obvious damage on the corneal endothelial in diabetic patients. And the diabetic duration was longer, the damage on the corneal endothelial in phacoemulsification was more easily.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the association of A260G and A386G polymorphisms of the DAZL gene with male infertility caused by oligozoospermia or azoospermia.

METHODSWe searched the PubMed, Science Direct, Wiley Online Library, CNKI, VIP, and CDDB databases up to November 30, 2013 for case-control studies evaluating the relationship of SNP260 and SNP386 polymorphisms of the DAZL gene with male infertility, and meanwhile conducted manual sourcing of the references in the identified studies and relevant articles. Two reviewers independently screened the title, abstract and keywords of each article retrieved. The StataSE12. 0 software was used for meta-analysis and other statistical analyses.

RESULTSTotally, 13 case-control studies were included (10 about A260G and 11 about A386G), involving 2 715 infertile patients (2 500 with oligozoospermia or azoospermia) and 1 835 normozoospermic men. DAZL A260G showed no statistical significance in the allele, dominant, recessive, co-dominant, or super-dominant gene model (P >0. 05). DAZL A386G exhibited a strong correlation with oligozoospermia or azoospermia in Asians in the allele gene model (OR = 0. 15, 95% CI 0.07 -0.34, P <0.05), dominant gene model (OR =0. 16, 95% CI 0.07 - 0. 35, P <0.05), co-dominant gene model (AA/AG) (OR = 0. 15, 95% CI 0. 06 - 0. 33, P < 0. 05), and super-dominant gene model (OR = 0. 15 (95% CI 0.06 - 0.33, P <0.05) , and so did it in Chinese in the four gene models ( OR = 0. 11, 95% CI 0.04 - 0. 28, P <0.05; OR =0. 11, 95% CI 0.04 - 0.28, P<0.05; OR = 0.09, 95% CI 0.03 - 0.26, P<0.05; OR = 0.09, 95% CI 0.03 - 0.26, P< 0.05).

CONCLUSIONOur study manifested that the DAZL polymorphism A386G, but not A260G, was correlated with reduced sper- matogenesis or sperm count specifically in Chinese males. More high-quality trials are required for a deeper insight into the exact relationship of DAZL A260G and A386G polymorphisms with oligozoospermia- or azoospermia-induced male infertility.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate clinical efficacy of oxaliplatin+calcium folinate+5-fluorouracil(mFOLFOX6),oxalipl-atin+capecitabine(CapeOX),irinotecan+calcium folinate+5-fluorouracil(FOLFIRI)for metastatic colorectal cancer,and to conduct cost-effectiveness analysis. METHODS:48 patients with colorectal cancer were divided into mFOLFOX6 group(30 cases),Cape-OX group(8 cases)and FOLFIRI group(10 cases). Clinical efficacy and ADR of 3 groups were analyzed,and cost-effectiveness analysis was also conducted. RESULTS:Clinical effective rates of mFOLFOX6 group,CapeOX group and FOLFIRI group were 96.67%,87.50% and 80.00%,respectively,the mFOLFX6 group was significantly higher than the other 2 groups,with statistical significance(P<0.05). mFOLFOX6 group had high incidence of gastrointestinal side effects (70.00%). FOLFIRI group had high incidence of myelosuppression (70.00%). CapeOX and mFOLFOX6 group suffered from liver injury possibly,without statistical significance (P>0.05). The C/E of mFOLFOX6 group,CapeOX group and FOLFIRI group were 11 950,15 674 and 18 397 re-spectively,to which results of sensitivity analysis were same. CONCLUSIONS:The cost-effectiveness of mFOLFOX6 regimen is superior to CapeOX and FOLFIRI regimen in the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer,but it has the high incidence of gastroin-testinal side effects.

Objective To investigate the amounts of endothelial progenitor cells(EPCs)in peripheral blood of patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy(PDR).Methods Forty patients with PDR(PDR group),thirty patmnts with type 2 diabetes mellitus(DM)without DR(DM group),and twenty agematched normal subjects(control group)were enrolled in this study.Blood samples were treated bv repeated centrifugation and stained with monoclonal antibodies.At least 2 × 105 cells were analyzed bv flow cytometry.EPCs were identified by CD34 and CD133 antibody.The correlation between EPCs numbers and DR duration,glycosylated hemoglobin,serum lipids was analyzed.Results The number of EPCs in PDR,DM and control group were(49±12)、(35±11)、(90±25)cells/ml respectively,the difference was statistically significant(F=56.260,P=0.000).There was a positive correlation between EPCs numbers and DR duration(r=0.564,P＜0.05).However there was no correlation between EPCs numbers and glycosylated hemoglobin(r=-0.170,P>0.05)or triglyceride levels(r=0.261,P>0.05).Conclusions The number of EPCs in peripheral blood of PDR patients was decreased. EPCs might play an important role in the pathogenesis of PDR.
