The article explored the feasibility,implementation procedure,effects evaluation,existing problems and future improvements on introducing conditional-opening-experiment(COE) in experiment teaching of hygiene analysis.The results indicated that COE could culture the practical operation ability,cooperation ability,overall situation consciousness and responsibility of students in many ways,although it still needed improvements.It promoted students'study enthusiasm,initiative consciousness and their participation and strengthened the harmony relationships between students and teachers.

3.One case of bloodstream infection caused by Ureaplasma urealyticum

Abstract: Objective To analyze a case of bloodstream infection caused by Ureaplasma urealyticum after abortion in Anxi County Hospital, so as to provide basis for the clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods The diagnosis of Ureaplasma urealyticum in this patient with bloodstream infection was retrospectively analyzed. The basic clinical data and laboratory diagnosis data were collected, including the characteristics of blood culture curve, Wright staining of culture medium, drug sensitivity of Mycoplasma liquid identification, colony characteristics of solid medium, and the conclusion of targeted DNA sequencing. Through the comprehensive analysis of the above data, the rapid diagnosis of this case can be realized by optimizing the detection and diagnosis process. Results The clinical manifestations of this patient were fever of 38.5 ℃, CRP:14.85 mg/L, WBC:14.33×109/L, NET: 85.40%, PCT: 0.12 ng/mL, IL-6: 665.6 pg/mL, positive after 3 days of blood culture, no bacteria were found in Gram stain, and sand-like purple bacteria were observed after adding Wright's stain. After inoculation in blood agar, Mycoplasma solid and liquid medium, no colonies were grown in blood agar, after 48 h and 5 d. On Mycoplasma A7 agar, the edge of brown fried egg colony was striature, and it could be identified as Ureaplasma urealyticum with the Mycoplasma ID & AST panel, which was resistant to quinolones and spectinomycin, but sensitive to macrolides, tetracyclines and lincomycin. Subsequent targeted DNA sequencing results were also confirmed for Ureaplasma urealyticum. Before receiving the report, clinical experience treatment with ceftriaxone metronidazole was used to fight infection with negative bacilli and anaerobic bacteria. Mycoplasma was not treated with targeted treatment. After 3 days, the patient's body temperature returned to normal, inflammation index decreased, and the patient asked to be discharged. Conclusions At present, there are few reports of bloodstream infection caused by Ureaplasma urealyticum, and the lack of clinical understanding can easily lead to misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis. In order to improve the detection rate of Mycoplasma in blood culture, it is necessary to optimize the detection procedure of blood culture and provide accurate diagnosis and treatment basis for clinical practice. However, it is clear from this case that Mycoplasma bloodstream infection cases are self-limited infection and can recover by themselves without targeted treatment in patients with normal immunity. Therefore, it is very important to protect the immunity of patients.

Abstract: Due to the continued emergence of multiple variants of SARS-CoV-2, the ongoing pandemic has resulted in severe mortality over the past two years. After the Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta variants, the most recent new variant of concern (VOC) strain to emerge is Omicron (B.1.1.529), which evolved as a result of the accumulation of a large number of mutations. The Omicron variant, which has a much higher transmission rate than the Delta variant, soon replaced the Delta variant and others, is now the dominant variant worldwide. The emergence of Omicron poses new challenges for the prevention and control of COVID-19 and has raised a number of concerns worldwide. Recently, cases of Omicron infection have been reported in several parts of China, and therefore this paper provides a comprehensive analysis and summary of the epidemiology and immune escape mechanisms of the Omicron variant. We also suggest some therapeutic strategies against the Omicron variant, including rapid diagnosis, genome analysis of emerging variants, ramping up of vaccination drives and receiving booster doses, updating the available vaccines, designing of multivalent vaccines able to generate hybrid immunity, up-gradation of medical facilities and strict implementation of adequate prevention and control measures need to be given high priority to handle the on-going COVID-19 pandemic successfully.
6.Quantitative study of thyroid transcription factor-1 protein expression in lung carcinoma cell nucleus by tissue microarray.

OBJECTIVETo investigate thyroid transcription factor-1 (TTF-1) expression in normal human adult type II alveolar epithelial cells, embryonic pneumocytes, lung carcinoma cells and lymph node metastases of lung cancer.
METHODSLung carcinoma tissue microarray was constructed containing 765 cores of 20 normal adult lung tissues, 15 embryonic lung tissues, 100 lung carcinomas and 55 corresponding lymph node metastases. TTF-1 protein expression on the microarray was detected by immunohistochemical SP method using TTF-1 monoclonal antibody and assessed quantitatively with Leica Q500MC image analysis system.
RESULTSThe number TTF-1 positive units (PU) was smaller in the nuclei of embryonic pneumocytes than in those of normal adult type II alveolar epithelial cells (P<0.001). The nuclei of lung carcinoma cells had smaller TTF-1 PU than normal adult type II alveolar epithelial cells and embryonic pneumocyte nuclei (P<0.001). The lung adenocarcinoma and small cell lung carcinoma cell nuclei had greater TTF-1 PU than squamous cell carcinoma and large cell lung carcinoma cell nuclei (P<0.001). TTF-1 PU was greater in squamous cell carcinoma cell nuclei than in large cell lung carcinoma cell nuclei (P<0.001). In lung adenocarcinoma, squamous cell lung carcinoma and large cell lung carcinoma, TTF-1 PU was greater in the cancerous cell nuclei of lymph node metastases than in the corresponding primary carcinoma cell nuclei (P<0.001, P<0.001, and P<0.05, respectively). In small cell lung carcinoma, TTF-1 PU of the cancerous cell nuclei of lymph node metastases was similar to that of primary carcinomas (P>0.05). TTF-1 PU was greater in lung carcinoma with lymph node metastases than in those without metastalsis (P<0.001). TTF-1 PU of the cell nuclei was not associated with the tumor growth pattern, differentiation and patients' gender (P>0.05), but was greater in TNM stage II-IV than in stage I (P<0.001).
CONCLUSIONSThe amount of TTF-1 in the cell nuclei decreases in the order of normal adult type II alveolar epithelial cells, embryonic pneumocytes and lung carcinoma cells. TTF-1 expression is higher in adenocarcinoma and small cell carcinoma and lower in squamous carcinoma and large cell carcinoma. Stronger TTF-1 expression is associated with greater likeliness of lung carcinoma metastatie, and can be an important hallmark for metastasis potential of lung adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and large cell carcinoma.

7.Simulation and data analysis of stereological modeling based on virtual slices.

OBJECTIVETo establish a computer-assisted stereological model for simulating the process of slice section and evaluate the relationship between section surface and estimated three-dimensional structure.
METHODSThe model was designed by mathematic method as a win32 software based on the MFC using Microsoft visual studio as IDE for simulating the infinite process of sections and analysis of the data derived from the model. The linearity of the fitting of the model was evaluated by comparison with the traditional formula.
RESULTSThe win32 software based on this algorithm allowed random sectioning of the particles distributed randomly in an ideal virtual cube. The stereological parameters showed very high throughput (>94.5% and 92%) in homogeneity and independence tests. The data of density, shape and size of the section were tested to conform to normal distribution. The output of the model and that from the image analysis system showed statistical correlation and consistency.
CONCLUSIONThe algorithm we described can be used for evaluating the stereologic parameters of the structure of tissue slices.

CONCLUSIONMusic electroacupuncture can overcome the decline of late therapeutic effects of pulse electroacupuncture and its disadvantages, beat of the local tissue of electroacupuncture. It is a generation of electroacupuncture of a new type.

10.Study on characteristics of pharmacological effects of traditional Chinese medicines distributing along stomach meridian based on medicinal property combination.

At present, studies on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) properties are mostly restricted to a single or two kinds of medicinal properties, but deviated from the holism of the theoretical system of TCMs. In this paper, the characteristics of pharmacological effects of different property combinations of TCMs distributing in the stomach meridian were take as the study objective. The data of properties of TCMs distributing in the stomach meridian was collected from the Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China (2005). The data of pharmacological effects of TCMs distributing in the stomach meridian was collected from all of literatures recorded in Chinese Journal Full-text Database (CNKI) since 1980, Science of Chinese Materia Medica (Yan Zhenghua, People's Medical Publishing House, 2006) and Clinical Science of Chinese Materia Medica (Gao Xuemin, Zhong Gansheng, Hebei Science and Technology Publishing House, 2005). The corresponding pharmacological effects of property combinations of TCMs distributing in the stomach meridian was mined by the method of association rules. The results of the association rules were consistent with the empirical knowledge, and showed that different medicinal property combinations had respective pharmacological characteristics, including differences and similarities in pharmacological effects of different medicinal property combinations. Medicinal property combinations with identical four properties or five tastes showed similar pharmacological effects; whereas medicinal property combinations with different four properties or five tastes showed differentiated pharmacological effects. However, medicinal property combinations with different four properties or five tastes could also show similar pharmacological effects. In this study, the medicinal property theory and the pharmacological effects of TCMs were combined to reveal the main characteristics and regularity of pharmacological effects of TCMs distributing in the stomach meridian and provide a new way of thinking and method for revealing the mechanism action of TCMs distributing in the stomach meridian and discovering the pharmacological effects of TCMs distributing in the stomach meridian.
