The heterogeneity is one of the main points in study on the mast cells. In the present paper, the heterogeneity of skin connective mast cells (CTMC) in comparison with that of gastrointestinal mucosal mast cells (MMC) with both toluidine blue staining and immunostaining was studied. The results showed that the CTMC fixed with formaldehyde could be demonstrated with routine toluidine blue staining, whereas the MMC could be demonstrated only with lower pH and prolonged staining duration. In immunostaining almost all of the CTMC showed serotoninimmunoreactivity, and only 10% of the CTMC showed substance P-immunoreactivity; while approximate 35% of the MMC showed serotonin-immunoreacivity and no substance P-immunoreactivity was found. The results indicate that the mast cell heterogeneity may be found in toluidine blue staining as well as in immunostaining.

Objective To study the compressive education on nursing students in operation room.Methods 84 nursing students in practice were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group with 42 students in each group.The two groups were in a month to complete the teaching syllabus internship period.The control group received conventional teaching,on the basis of conventional teaching,the observation group was given compressive education.After the end of internship,nursing skill score,comprehensive quality,operation doctors'satisfaction degree were compared between two groups.Results After the compressive education,the nursing skill score,comprehensive quality,operation doctors'satisfaction degree in the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group.Conclusions According to the source of pressure in the operation room,compressive education should be given to the nursing students and make them complete the practice in a relaxed and delight state.This can also reflect the humanistic care in teaching,which is worthy of being popularized in teaching in operation room.

Objective To study the percentage and the distribution of nosocomial infection, and susceptibility of related pathogens to antibiotics in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Methods The clinical data of in patients with SLE in our hospital from June, 1990 to June, 1998 were analyzed. The susceptibility of the pathogens to antimicrobial agents was tested by K-B paper dilution method. Results The percentage of nosocomial infection in these cases was 16.1％ . The major pathogens were staphylococcas aureus, Escherichia coli and Candida. The most highly resistant microbes were E.coli, S.arueus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Conclusions The nosocomial infection is one of the most common complication of SLE in the in patients. It is necessary to examine the pathogens regularly and use antibacterial agents according to the susceptibility.

OBJECTIVE To develop a suitable and easy method for detecting AmpC ?-lactamases.METHODS The function with different cloxacillin concentrations in cloxacillin-potentiated disc diffusion test was compared and estimated with FOX three-dimensional extract test to show the best concentration of cloxacillin.RESULTS Cefoxitin three-dimesional test indicated that 48 strains were detected out to produce AmpC ?-lactamases among 130 clinical isolates of Gram-negative bacilli strains.when the discs contained 200 ?g cloxacillin the CAZ,CTX,CRO and ATM alone could separately detect 87.5%,87.5%,87.5% and 33.3% highly producing AmpC ?-lactamases strains.When the combination of CTX with CRO,almost 95.8% could be detected out.CONCLUSIONS With the combination of CTX and CRO,the cloxacillin-potentiated disc diffusion test can specifically detect AmpC ?-lactamases and easy to be used in clinical laboratories.

Objective To assess the effects of MRI-positive and interictal epileptic charges(IEDs) dominance on the memory of the patients with drug-resistant medial temporal lobe epilepsy (MTLE). Methods Fifty right-handed patients(age ranging from 16 to 60 years old)diagnosed as drug-resistant MTLE in our hospital with normal intelligence between September 2006 and April 2007 were investigated. All patients were classified as left MRI-positive(MRI(+)),right MRI(+),MRI(-),bilateral MR[ (+)by high-quality MR[protocol.The EEG was defined as dominant IEDs if≥75%independent IEDs was confined to one temporal lobe in all EEG recordings.Clinical memory scale was administered as memory assessment of MTLE.ANOVA and non-parametric statistics were used to analyze the data in SPSS 12.0. Results The distribution of age,sex,education,occupation,living condition,course,seizure and treat among left MRI(+),right MRI(+),MRI(-),bilateral MRI(+)groups was similar.All scores in the patients with MTLE was significantly lower than normal(P＜0.05).Right MRI(+)MTLE patients had deftcits in nonsense graphics recognition(9.42±7.46)compared to left MRI(+)and MRI(-) groups((16.26±4.43)and(18.26±5.49),F=4.281,P＜0.05).Among MRI(-)patients,left IEDs,right IEDs and bilateral IEDs groups displayed not significantly different impairment in memory. Conclusion Right MRI(+)MTLE has more severe impairment in non-verbal memory,and nonsense graphics recognition can be used to detect the deficit.

Objective To evaluate the targeted killing of malignant melanoma cells by aclarubicin liposomes conjugated with vascular endothelial growth factor(ADM-VEGF-SSL)in vitro.Metheds To detect the binding abilitv of liposomes to malignant melanoma(MM)cells,the human malignant melanoma cell line A375 was cultured in the presence of ADM-VEGF-3H-SSL or ADM-3H-SSL for 2 days followed by the detection of radioactivity of these cells.Then.A375 cells were cultured with various concentrations(0.01,0.1,1,10,100 mol/L)of ADM-VEGF-SSL,ADM-SSL or free ADM for 48 hours in the 48-hour cytotoxity test,or for 0.5 hour followed by another 48-hour culture in drug-free medium in the 0.5-hour cytotoxity test.After that,MTT assay was used to detect the survival rate of these cells.Results ADM-VEGF-SSL could specifically bind to and kill A375 cells.The binding rate of ADM-VEGF-SSL was 2.15 folds as high as that of ADM-SSL.The survival rate of A375 cells after being treated with ADM-VEGF-SSL for 48 hour was similar to that with flee ADM(P＞0.05).but lower than that with ADM-SSL(P＜0.05),while the survival rate of melanocytes treated with ADM-VEGF-SSL was higher than that with free ADM or ADM-SSL(both P＜0.05).As shown by the 0.5-hour cytotoxity test.shortening the treatment course did not attenuate the effect of ADM-VEGF-SSL on A375 cells.Conclusions ADM-VEGF-SSL can specifically recognize A375 cells.efficiently deliver adriamycin into tumor cells,markedly inhibit the proliferation of A375 cells,and eventually,a targeted kill of these cells is realized.
