Objective To explore the latent class structure and heterogeneity of posttraumatic stress disorder(PTSD) in adolescent.Methods The Chinese PTSD Checklist-Civilian Version (PCL-C) was used to assess 560 adolescent from the Wenchuan earthquake area.Latent Class Model was employed to analyze the data.Results Latent Class Analysis revealed four classes of adolescent PTSD sample:pervasive disturbance (n=115,20.5％),no disturbance (n=165,29.5％),Intermediate Symptom with high Emotional Numbing (n=188,33.6％),as well as Intermediate Symptom with low avoidance (n=92,16.4％).The proportion of boys in each subsample were 55.7％,49.7％,50.5％ and 50.4％,respectively.In addition,there was no significant gender difference of prevalence within each class (x2=1.56,P=0.669).Conclusions Four-class model best fit the data for PTSD symptoms,and different clinical intervention should be adopted.

Objective To investigate the potential effects of simvastatin on angiotensin Ⅱ-stimulated secretion and proliferation of adrenocortical carcinoma H295R cells.Methods The H295R cells were divided into control group, Angiotensin Ⅱgroup, simvastatin group and Angiotensin Ⅱ plus simvastatin group.Cortisol in medium was determined by chemiluminescent method , and aldosterone was determined by radioimmunoassay .The mRNA expression of 11 beta-hydroxylase ( CYP11B1 ) and aldosterone synthase ( CYP11B2 ) were examined by RT-qPCR.Cell proliferation was detected by MTS method.Results Compared with control group, angiotensin Ⅱincreased the secretion of cortisol and aldosterone, and the expression of CYP11B1 and CYP11B2.Simvastatin decreased cortisol secretion and CYP11B1 mRNA expression ( P<0.05 ) .Simvastatin also inhibited angiotensinⅡ-induced the secretion of cortisol and aldosterone , and the expression of CYP 11 B1 and CYP11 B2 compared with Angiotensin Ⅱgroup ( P<0.05 ) .Angiotensin Ⅱhad no effect on cell proliferation , while simvastatin significantly inhibited cell proliferation .The inhibitory effect of simvastatin on proliferation was enhanced when simvastatin was prescribed with angiotensin Ⅱ( P<0.05 ) .Conclusions Simvastatin inhibits angiotensin Ⅱ-induced secretion of cortisol and aldosterone in H295R cells.Simvastatin inhibits cell proliferation, which could be enhanced by angio-tensin Ⅱ.

The culture conditions of Saccharomyces cerevisiae sp.strain by 1.1 b were optimized for the production of D-(-)-mandelate dehydrogenase which is useful for the asymmetric bioreduction of benzoylformate to form D-(-)-mandelate.The optimum medium(per liter)consistes of 60 g peptone,30 g maltose, 0.5 g MgSO_4,0.01 g ZnSO_4,1.0 g KCl.After optimization of the culture medium,the enzyme production in shake flasks is enhanced from 2.56 to 20.21 U/L.The optimum fermentation conditions were determined as follows:medium volume 100 mL(i.e.,40%for a 250-mL shake flask),pH 6.5,inoculum size 10%,temperature 30℃,and cultivation time 25 h.

Cytoplast and microprotoplast are main subprotoplasts that can play an important role in plant genetic improvement.The present review highlights the advancements in isolation and fusion of plant subprotoplast,and some suggestions and prospects are proposed for the future studies.

Objective: To determine the noninvasive imaging efficacy of 99mTc-sandostatin scintigraphy for lung cancer. Methods: 57 consecutive patients with pulmonary nodules(PN) were studied with 99mTc-sandostatin scintigraphy.Planar imaging was obtained after injection of (991.6?187.59) MBq of 99mTc-sandostatin at 1.5-4 hour with GE Dual-head gamma camera(Millennium VG, Hawkeye ;General Electric Medical Systems) . SPECT images of the chest were performed at 4-6 h post injection. All scintigraphically detected lesions were confirmed by histopathological analysis and/or by other imaging modalities.Tumor to normal tissues ratios (T/N) were calculated . Results: Out of 57 patients ,47 were malignant tumors; 12 with small cell lung cancer (SCLC), 35 with non- small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). 10 had benign lesions. The sensitivity , specificity and accuracy of 99mTc-Sandostatin in detection of lung cancer were 95.7%, 90%, 94.7%, respectively. In two patients (pts) with pulmonary squamous cell cancer 99mTc-Sandostatin imaging was false negative. In 10 pts. with benign PN, 9 pts. was true negative, but one patient with tubercolama was false positive. T/N ratio was 3.43?0.66, 2.24?0.31 in SCLC and NSCLC respectively. Objective To investigate the distribution,epidemiologic features and antibiotic resistance of the enteric pathogens i-solated from children with diarrhea.Methods Enteric pathogens were isolated from children’s stool samples.The children with diarrhea were treated in the outpatient and inpatient of Shanghai Children’s Hospital between 2008 and 2013.Antimicrobial susceptibility testing was conducted by disk diffusion method for Salmonella and Shigella with 6 antimicrobial agents.Results A total of 545 enteric pathogens were collected.Salmonella was the dominant pathogen,accounting for 67.2%,followed by Shigella (20.7%),S.aureus (4.6%),C.jejuni (3.7%),Aeromonas (2.4%),and enteropathogenic E.coli (0.9%).The main serotypes of Salmonella were S.typhimurium and S.enteritidis.Approximately 56.3% of the patients were boys.A-bout 72.7% of the patients were infants under 2 years.The prevalence of diarrhea peaked in summer and autumn (72.9%). The susceptibility of these isolates was only tested with seven antibiotics.Shigella showed higher level of resistance to ampicil-lin and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole than Salmonella (P<0.05).Significantly higher percentage of S.flexneri isolates were resistant to sulbactam-ampicillin,ceftriaxone,ciprofloxacin,and chloramphenicol than S.sonnei (P<0.001).Further-more,the prevalence of multidrug resistant strains in Shigella (68.3%)was much higher than that in Salmonella (44.7%,P<0.001).Conclusions A variety of diarrhea-causing enteric pathogens are isolated from the children in Shanghai Children’s Hospital.The isolates are predominantly Salmonella and Shigella species.The epidemiological features of Salmonella and Shigella species are different in terms of gender,age,season and geographical distribution.The resistance to antibiotics is a serious problem and varies with different types of pathogens. Intensive and ongoing surveillance of enteric pathogens and their changing resistant pattern is required to control diar-rhea in children.

AIM: To investigate the early changes of retinal function in diabetic patients detected by multifocal electroretinogram (mfERG).METHODS: The first-order kernel responses of mfERG were recorded from eyes of 33 normal control subjects,63 diabetic patients without retinopathy and 43 diabetic patients with background retinopathy. The response densities and implicit times of N1 and P1 were compared among the control, diabetic patients without retinopathy and diabetic patients with retinopathy.RESULTS: The response densities of N1 and P1 in central 3 rings were reduced significantly in diabetic eyes with and without retinopathy. And the implicit times of N1 and P1 were delayed significantly only in diabetic eyes with retinopathy.CONCLUSION: mfERG can detect the early changes of retinal function quantitatively in diabetic patients. Analysis of response densities and implicit times of N1 and P1 can reflect the progress of local retinal dysfunction in diabetes.

ObjectiveTo observe the expression of syntaxin-1 in hippocampus of adult rats with hypothyroidism and the role of different doses of thyroid hormone replacement therapy,further to explore the molecular mechanism of brain damage.MethodsAll 44 male adult SD rats were randomly divided into 4 groups according to their body mass(250 - 300 g):hypothyroidism group,routine dosage thyroxine treatment group,high dosage thyroxine treatment group and control group (11 in each group).Hypothyroidism group,routine dosage thyroxine treatment group and high dosage thyroxine treatment group received daily intraperitoneal injection of propylthiouracil (PTU) 10 mg/kg.Hypothyroidism group was given PTU by intraperitoneal injection for two weeks after the previous four week treatment,the routine dosage thyroxine treatment group and the high dosage thyroxine treatment group were given 50,200 μg/kg L-thyroxine daily intraperitoneally for two weeks; the control group received daily intraperitoneal injection of saline.The levels of serum T3,T4 were assayed by radioimmunoassay method,and the level of syntaxin-1 in hippocampus was analyzed by immunohistochemistry.ResultsIn the hypothyroidism group,the levels of serum T3,T4[(0.34 ± 0.04),(43.01 ± 2.95)nmol/L] were significantly lower than those in the control group[(0.65 ± 0.05),(55.20 ± 3.56)nmol/L,all P ＜ 0.05].In the routine dosage of thyroxine treatment group,the levels of serum T3,T4[(0.63 ± 0.05),(55.04 ± 3.77)nmol/L] were not significantly different compared to the control group (all P ＞ 0.05 ).In the high dosage thyroxine thyroid hormone treatment group,the levels of serum T3,T4[(1.11 ± 0.10),(96.68 ± 6.42)nmol/L] were significantly higher than those in the control group(all P ＜ 0.05).The levels of syntaxin-1 protein in the CA1,CA3 and dentate gyrus(DG) of all layer regions of hippocampus (0.059 ± 0.016,0.064 ± 0.014,0.068 ± 0.016,0.069 ± 0.017,0.072 ± 0.016,0.070 ± 0.011,0.051 ± 0.012,0.072 ± 0.017) were significantly higher compared to the control group(0.037 ± 0.008,0.045 ± 0.010,0.042 ±0.009,0.040 ± 0.010,0.053 ± 0.009,0.042 ± 0.009,0.032 ± 0.007,0.047 ± 0.010,all P ＜ 0.05).In the routine dosage and the high dosage thyroxine thyroid hormone treatment group,the level of syntaxin-1 in CA1,CA3and DG regions(0.041 ± 0.011,0.046 ± 0.017,0.044 ± 0.014,0.037 ± 0.008,0.051 ± 0.010,0.043 ± 0.010,0.033 ± 0.011,0.045 ± 0.014 and 0.040 ± 0.010,0.045 ± 0.011,0.043 ± 0.010,0.033 ± 0.009,0.050 ± 0.010,0.041 ± 0.009,0.032 ± 0.009,0.046 ± 0.009)were not significantly different compare to the control group(all P＞0.05).ConclusionThe expression of syntaxin-1 in hippocampus of adult-onset hypothyroidism is increased,which can be reversed by routine dosage treatment of thyroxine.
