Objective To observe the immunological effect of tumor cell vaccines to mouse hepatoma A(HepA) treated by Haematoxylin. Methods HepA cell was treated by 0.1% Haematoxylin and made into three vaccines: HepA vaccine with complete Freund' s adjuvant, HepA vaccine with incomplete Freund' s adjuvant; and HepA vaccine without any adjuvants. Five times of immunization were given the grouped mice with the above three vaccines, then active HepA cells (1×105 for each mouse) were inoculated by intraperitoneal injection to attack them; reckoning the mean survival time (MST) of the grouped mice, comparing the immunoprotective action of the three vaccines to the tmnor-bearing mice. Those mice only receiving normal saline (equal volume to the vaccine) were as a control group. Results MST of control group was (23.30±1.24) day; MST of mice receiving H22 vaccine with complete adjuvant was (43.90±15.20) day (P<0.02); MST of mice receiving H22 vaccine with incomplete adjuvant was (39.60±13.77) day (P<0.05); and MST of mice receiving HepA vaccine without any adjuvant was (38.40±12.54) day (P<0.05); As compared with the control group, the three treated groups showed a life-lengthening rate (LLR) 88.41%, 69.96 % and 64.81% respectively. Conclusion The vaccines treated by Haematoxylin give a marked immunoprotective action to those tumor-bearing mice. The HepA vaccine' s immunological effect is increased by the Freund' s adjuvant (complete or incomplete).

OBJECTIVETo observe the efficacy of integrative medical sequential method in treating cerebral palsy (CP) children's intelligence development, muscular tension, serum interleukin 6 (IL-6), and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha).
METHODSTotally 111 CP children were randomly assigned to the control group (50 cases) and the treatment group (61 cases). All patients received comprehensive rehabilitation training and intravenous dripping of Monosialotetrahexosylganglioside Sodium Injection for 10 days. But those in the treatment group additionally received Chinese medical enema for brain resuscitation, relieving rigidity of muscles and activating collaterals for 14 days. Then they started another medication cycle and lasted for a total of 6 cycles. Serum IL-6 levels and TNF-alpha contents were determined before treatment. Scoring for muscular tension, Gesell score for intelligence development, contents of serum IL-6 and TNF-alpha were assessed before and after treatment in the two groups.
RESULTSCompared with before treatment in this group, muscular tension, Gesell scores for intelligence development all decreased in the two groups (P < 0.05). As for inter-group comparison, the decrement was more obvious in the treatment group than in the control group (P < 0.05). The total effective rate was 86.9% in the treatment group and 76.0% in the control group (P < 0.05). The contents of IL-6 and TNF-alpha were obviously reduced in the treatment group and the control group after treatment (P < 0.01). The decrement was more obvious in the treatment group (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe two treatment methods were effective for CP children, but the efficacy was superior in the treatment group than in the control group, indicating integrative medical methods could play a synergistic effect and optimize the treatment program for CP.

Xiaoyao pills are a famous traditional Chinese medicine collected in Welfare Pharmacy, which is a classic prescription for treating liver depression and spleen deficiency. However, its composition is complex. In order to better control the quality of Xiaoyao pills, in this study, HPLC-ion-trap time-of-flight mass spectrometry (LC-IT-TOF/MS) was used to identify the main ingredients of Xiaoyao pills, paeoniflorin, albiflorin, glycyrrhizic acid, saikosaponin A and saikosaponin B2. Then a liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) was developed for simultaneous determination and quantification of the main compounds. Fragmentation pathways of five active components were obtained. The method was validated. Five active ingredients in Xiaoyao pills had a good linear relationship, and the values of RSD (%) of repeatability were all less than 5%, the recovery ranges were between 90% and 115%, and the values of RSD (%) of each substance were less than 10% after the sample solution is placed for 24 hours. Three batches of Xiaoyao pills (concentrated pellets) and two batches of Xiaoyao pills (water pellets) were determined, the contents of paeoniflorin in concentrated pills were more than 4.0 mg·g-1, and those in water pills were more than 2.5 mg·g-1, which was accordance with Chinese Pharmacopoeia. However, other compounds behave differently. This method has high sensitivity and reliable measurement results, which provides basis for quality control of Xiaoyao pills and material basis for pharmacology research.

ObjectiveTo observe the characteristic of pulmonary function of children with spastic diplegia and the effects of hydrotherapy on it. Methods30 children with spastic diplegia were divided into hydrotherapy group and control group, who received hydrotherapy and routine rehabilitation or routine rehabilitation only. All patients were tested their pulmonary function and the maximum phonation time before and 2 months after treatment. The longest breath holding time in water of the hydrotherapy group were recorded. ResultsThe vital capacity (VC), expiratory reserve volume (ERV), inspiratory capacity (IC), forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1), maximum ventilatory volume (MVV), peak expiratory flow (PEF) in all the children decreased significantly compared with the predicted value (P=0.000), but a second rate (FEV1/FVC) didn't (P=0.141). After treatment, the VC, FVC, FEV1, FEV1/FVC, MVV, PEF values and their percentage of predicted value improved (P<0.05), as well as the maximum phonation time (P<0.05). ERV, IC values and their percentage of predicted value improved a little from pre-treatment in the control group (P>0.05), but significantly in the hydrotherapy group (P<0.05). The percentage of predicted value of VC, ERV, IC, FVC, FEV1, FEV1/FVC, MVV, and PEF, and the maximum phonation time improved more in the hydrotherapy group than in the control (P<0.05). The longest breath holding time in water improved in the hydrotherapy group after treatment (P=0.000). ConclusionThe pulmonary function impaired in spastic diplegic children, and can be improved with the rehabilitation, especially with the hydrotherapy in addition.
