AIM: To systematic review the effectiveness of refractive multifocal intraocular lens ( MIOL ) ReZOOM vs diffractive MIOL ReSTOR in the treatment of cataract.
METHODS: Randomized controlled trials comparing refractive MIOL ReZOOM with diffractive MIOL ReSTOR were identified by searching CENTRAL, MEDLINE, EMbase, WANFANG MED ONLINE, CMJD, SinoMed, and CNKI. Related journals also were hand-searched. Methodological quality of randomized controlled trials ( RCTs ) was evaluated by simple evaluate method that recommended by the Cochrane Collaboration. Data extracted by two reviewers with designed extraction form. RevMan software ( release 5. 2 ) was used for data management and analysis.
RESULTS:A total of 7 trials (846 eyes) were included for systematic review. Subgroup analyses were used according to different model comparison of ReSTOR MIOL. The results showed a significant difference in the mean of the best distance corrected intermediate visual acuity ( BDCIVA) in the ReZOOM MIOL group with WMD=-0.11, 95% CI (-0.16, -0.06) (P<0.0001). It showed a significantly difference in the mean of the uncorrected near visual acuity ( UCNVA ) , complete spectacle independent rate, halo rate and glare rate in the ReSTOR MIOL group with WMD= 0. 09, 95% CI (0. 05, 0. 14) (P<0-00001), WMD= 2. 62, 95%CI (1. 76, 3. 91) (P<0. 00001), WMD=1. 35, 95% CI (1. 15, 1. 60) (P=0. 0004) and WMD=1-29, 95% CI (1. 09, 1. 53) (P= 0. 003). There was no significant difference between the two groups in the mean of the uncorrected distance visual acuity ( UCDVA ) , the uncorrected intermediate visual acuity ( UCIVA) , the best corrected distance visual acuity ( BCDVA ) and the best distance corrected near visual acuity ( BDCNVA ) with WMD-0.03, 95% CI (-0.06, 0.01) (P=0.15), WMD= -0.04, 95% CI (-0. 09, 0. 01) (P=0. 10), WMD= -0. 01, 95%CI (-0. 04, 0-02) (P=0. 55) and WMD= 0. 06, 95% CI (-0. 06, 0. 17) (P=0. 32).
CONCLUSION: Patients implanted with ReZOOM MIOL can provide better BDCIVA; patients implanted with ReSTOR MIOL show better UCNVA, are less likely to appear light halo, glare and other visual adverse reactions; correction in spectacles cases, patients implanted with ReZOOM or ReSTOR MIOL have considerable performances in the far and near visual acuity.

This review introduced the anti-tumor effects of non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and summarized their possible molecular mechanisms according to recent abroad literatures and our research results. Some evidence showed that the anti-tumor mechanisms of NSAIDs were different in various tumors.NSAIDs decreased the biosynthesis of PGE_2 and regulated the expressions of downstream correlated genes and proteins through restraining abnormal expression of COX-2 in certain neoplasms, which resulted in the inhibition of tumor angiogenesis and proliferation as well as induced apoptosis. But in other cancer cells, NSAIDs, as activators of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor ? (PPAR?), induced COX-2 expression, promoted the biosynthesis of cyclopentenone prostaglandins (cyPGs). cyPGs further induced tumor cell apoptosis with PPAR? dependently or PPAR? independently. Since their special mechanisms of anti-proliferation and pro-apoptosis, NSAIDs revealed significant synergistic effects with other anti-tumor treatments.

According to DNA sequences of the invA gene of Salmonella spp.,the phoA gene of Escherichia coli and the nuc gene of Staphylococcus aureus, three pairs of oligonucleotide primers were designed and synthesized to amplify the special DNA sequences by multiplex PCR. Moreover, the reaction conditions of multiplex PCR were optimized. The results showed the multiplex PCR using the three pairs of primers produced specific amplicons of expected sizes,284bp for Salmonella spp.,622bp for Escherichia coli,484bp for Staphylococcus aureus. The optimized reaction conditions followed as the concentration of primer 40nmol/L for Salmonella spp.,40nmol/L for Escherichia coli,80nmol/L for Staphylococcus aureus,2.4mmol/L Mg 2+ ,200?mol/L dNTP,1.5U Taq DNA polymerase, anneal temperature from 55.0℃ to 57.4℃. Under the condition, the detection limits for DNA template were 10.2pg,10.2pg and 102.0pg for Salmonella spp.,Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, respectively. The whole process could be completed within 4h. The multiplex PCR assay was a specific, sensitive, rapid and reliable method for detecting Salmonella spp.,Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, which establish important foundation for simultaneous detection for these three bacteria in food.

Objective To explore the changes of CD40 and CD40 ligand(CD40L) levels and investigate their significances in children with graft-versus-host disease(GVHD)after related-donor human leukocyte antigen(HLA) matching allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(HSCT).Methods Nineteen patients with ?-thalassemia major and 1 patient with congenital inherent hemolytic anemia accepted umbilical cord blood transplantation(UCBT) and allogeneic peripheral blood stem cell transplantation(allo-PBSCT),respectively,and all cases were received successfully related-donor human leukocyte antigen matching allogeneic HSCT.Peripheral blood samples were obtained before and after transplantation, the time when GVHD happened, the expressions of CD40 and CD40L were measured by using immunofluresence asssy. Results Four UCBT children and 3 allo-PBSCT children had no acute GVHD.Thirteen children had acute GVHD(degreeⅠ-Ⅳ),the expressions of CD40L on CD4+ and CD8+ T cells in the patients with acute GVHD increased, especially in allo-PBSCT.Five cases of UCBT and 12 cases of allo-PBSCT patients had chronic GVHD,the expressions of CD40L+,CD25+ and CD69+ on CD4+ and CD8+ T cells in patients with chronic GVHD increased obviously. The expression of CD19+CD40+ was lower than normal within 3 months after transplantation. Conclusions The high expression of CD40L+T cells in periferal blood after HSCT was related to the activation and proliferation of T cells in the development of GVHD in HSCT.
10. Mucosal-associated invariant T cells and tumors
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2019;35(12):1650-1653
Mucosal-assooiated invariant T(MAIT) cells are an evolutionarily highly conserved T lymphocyte subsets with the innate functions similar to innate natural killer T(iNKT) cells. MAIT cells are defined by their invariant T cell receptors (TCR)-alpha chain and restrictive major histocompatibility complex (MHC) related protein-! (MR1) , and identify antigens through the MR1, secreting a variety of cytokines after being activated, directly or indirectly involved in the body's immune re-sponses. MAIT cells are also abundant in human peripheral blood and many tissues. They are closely related to the occurrence and development of various infectious diseases, autoimmune diseases and malignant tumors. This article mainly reviews the research on MAIT cells in tumor diseases.
