Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2012;21(9):847-849
ObjectiveTo explore the role of psychological capital in psychological stress and mental maladjustment in recruits.Methods405 recruits were sampled and investigated using the psychological stress selfevaluation test( PSET),the psychological capital questionnaires(PCQ),and military mental maladjustment scale (MMMS).ResultsPsychological stress had significant positive correlation with each factor of mental maladjustment ( r =0.164 ~ 0.438,P < 0.01 ),and psychological capital had significant negative correlation with each factor of mental maladjustment ( r=-0.312 ~ -0.463,P< 0.001 ).The hierarchical regression analysis indicated that psychological capital, confidence, hoping, resiliency and optimism had the positive prediction of all the four factors of mental maladjustment, the variance contribution rates were 27.2%,20.1%,25.8% and 15.9%,respectively; the main effect of psychological capital(β1 =-0.406,P<0.01 ;β2 =-0.351,P<0.01 ) and psychological stress(β1 =0.304,P < 0.01 ;β2 =0.267,P < 0.01 ) on recruits'behavioral problem and interpersonal relationship maladjustment was significant, the interaction effect of psychological capital and psychological stress on recruits' behavioral problem (β =- 0.098,P < 0.05 ) and interpersonal relationship maladjustment (β =- 0.087,P < 0.05 ) was significant.ConclusionPsychological capital is a moderator in interaction between mental maladjustment and psychological stress. The PCQ score may predict the variation of recruits'mental status.
2.Analysis on blood test result of voluntary blood donors in Fuling District during the past seven years
International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2008;29(6):498-500
Objective To get the information about the infection condition of blood in voluntary donors in Fuling District from 2001 to 2007, so as to take measures to improve blood quality and ensure blood safety. Methods Serum ALT was detected with Reitman-Frankel assay, and HBsAg, anti-HCV, anti-HIV and anti-TP were detected with ELISA.Results A total of 72 868 serum samples from blood donors were detected, in which 5 512 (7.56%) were positive. The positive rates of HBsAg, anti-HCV, anti-HIV and anti-TP were 3.09%, 0.48%, 0.07% and 1.27% respectively, and the abnormality rate of ALT was 2.73%. There was statistical difference of positive rate among various years (from 2001 to 2007).Conclusion The positive rate of blood in voluntary donors decreases year by year. HBsAg was the highest (1.16%), followed by ALT (2.73%), anti-TP (1.27%), anti-HCV and anti-HIV. It suggests that blood quality monitoring should be strengthed to assure blood safety.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2012;14(6):746-749
ObjectiveThe present study aimed to determine whether or not dual paroxysm proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) agonist,WY14643,improved the dysfunctioned vascular endothelium in hypertension by reducing endothelium-derived contracting factors ( EDCFs ),and to explore the molecular mechanism it was involved in.MethodsIsometric tension in isolated thoracic aortic rings of spontaneously hypertensive rats was recorded.Endothelium-dependent contractions evoked by acetylcholine in the presence of L NAME were reduced by fenofibrate.Cyclooxygenase 1 ( COX1 ) activities were determined by analyzing the peroxidase activity of cyclooxygenase colorimetrically by using ELISA kit.ResultsCompared to the control group,WY14643 significantly decreased the vasoconstriction in aorta of the SHR rats(P=0.014).PPARα antagonist MK866 enhanced the vascular contractility of SHR rats that were incubated with 10.0μmol/L WY14643( P=0.021 ).PPARΥ antagonist GW9662 did not significantly affect the vascular contractility of SHR rats that were incubated with 10.0 μmol/L WY14643( P=0.061 ).The levels of serum PGFlα(P=0.012),2α( P =0.019) and TXB2(P=0.023) in SHR rats incubated with 10.0 μmol/L WY14643 were significantly lower than the control group, respectively.Under the condition of the existence of vascular endothelium, the expression of COX-1 in SHR rats incubated with WY14643 was significantly lower than that in SHR rats incubated without WY14643 (P=0.017).ConclusionsThose data showed that WY14643 reduced the release of EDCFs,it suggests that WY14643 protects against vascular diseases through the PPAR activators in spontaneous hypertension.
