Objective To study the therapeutical effect of glutathione(GL),a powerful antioxidant on the symptoms and ECG in patients with coronary heart disease and its mechanisms.Methods Eighty-five subjects with coronary heart disease were recruited(45 male and 40 female).The patients were randomized to receive GL (240 mg,ivgtt,qd,for 14 days,n=44)on the top of conventional treatment(aspirin+?-blocks+ACEI)or conven- tional treatement alone(control,n=41).The serum MDA,SOD,NO levels were determined.Electrocardio- graphy(ST stage,T wave)was examined.Results GL significantly improved clinical symptoms scores(2.0+0.5 vs control:1.5+0.5,P

In this paper, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy fingerprint analysis of Marsdenia tenacissima samples was used to develop a reliable method of tracing the geographical origins. Forty-eight samples from four provinces of China were analyzed by FTIR. We analyzed and characterized the fingerprints in both the full spectrum peaks and characteristic peaks, then the principal component analysis and the cluster analysis were carried out. The results of fingerprint analysis, correlation analysis, principal component analysis and cluster analysis can identify the geographic origins correctly, which verified and supplemented each other; the identification results and the actual location showed a high degree of consistency, namely the lower the space distance, the greater the similarity of different samples. These results revealed the obvious superiority and practical value in comparison to the more tedious and time-consuming wet chemistry method normally used. Using appropriate metrology methods can trace the geographical source correctly. The M. tenacissima materials from the region of Maguan should be considered as genuine medicinal materials taking into account the good quality.

Objective To investigate the feasibility of laparoscopic-assisted transanal pull-through resection and anastomosis in the treatment of ultra-low rectal cancer.Methods From November 2005 to December 2006,21 patients with ultra-low rectal cancer had undergone laparoscopic-assisted transanal pull-through resection and anastomosis in Southwest Hospital.The perioperative condition,postoperative complications and the result of follow-up were retrospectively analyzed.Results The operation was successfully performed on all the patients.The mean operation time and postoperative hospital stay were(216±25)minutes(170-260 minutes)and(9.4±1.0)days(7-11 days),respectively.The time needed for the recovery of gastrointestina]function was(65±14)hours(38-88 hours).The mean perioperative blood loss was(140±49)ml(80-250 ml).All the patients were followed up for(22±4)months(15-28 months),and no anastomotic bleeding or fistula was observed.Six patients developed mild to moderate anastomotic striclure,1 local recurrence and 1 liver metastasis.Conclusions Laparoscopic-assisted transanal pull-through resection and anastomosis for ultra-low rectal cancer is safe and feasible,and the short-term effect is satisfactory.

Objective To investigate the effects of different CO2 pneumoperitoneum on cell cycle and cell cycle protein of a gastric cancer cell line. Methods Human gastric cancer cell line MNK-45 were exposed to 0,10,12 and 15 mm Hg CO2 pneumoperitoneum in vitro for 4 hrs. Cell cycle was measured by flowcytometry, the expression of CDK4 ,Cyclin D1、Rb and pRb was studied by Western-blot, and the binding ability of CDK4 and Cyclin D1 was evaluated by immunoprecipitation. Results The cell proliferation index in 15 mm Hg CO2 pneumoperitoneum group dropped significantly (27.4% ± 3. 7%) vs. (36. 4% ±3. 3%) ,P <0. 05, while that in other groups did not change significantly. The protein of CDK4、Cyclin D1and binding ability of Cyclin D1 and CDK4 dropped dramatically in the 15 mm Hg CO2 pneumoperitoneum group (0.71%±0.12%),(0.93% ±0.21%),(0.54%±0.11%),(0.18% ±0.02%) vs. (1.05% ±0.16%),(1.40% ±0.24%),(0.75% ±0.14%),(0.31% ±0.02%), all P<0.05. There were no changes of Rb in protein levels, while the phosphorylated Rb dropped obviously. Conclusion There was no obvious effects of clinical CO2 pneumoperitoneum on gastric cancer cells growth and proliferation.

Objective To investigate the effects of different CO2 pneumoperitoneum pressures on gastric cancer cells' growth and proliferation in nude mouse model of implanted tumor. Methods Human gastric cancer cell lines MNK-45 were exposed under 0、10、12 and 15 mm Hg CO2 pneumoperitoneum for 4 hrs respectively. 2 × 106 processed cells were inplanted into nude mice subcutaneously. Three weeks later, mice were sacrificed and the weight and bulk of the tumor measured. Then we observed the transplantation tumor by HE stain and Ki-67 stain. Results There was no significant difference in tumor's growing time, bulk and weight between 0, 10, 12 mm Hg CO2 pneumoperitoneum groups (7. 8 d, 7. 2 d, 7. 8 d; 1. 2 cm3, 1. 3 cm3, 1. 3 cm3; 1.5 g, 1. 9 g, 1. 6 g)and the control group (7. 3 d, 1. 2 cm3, 1.4 g) (P > 0. 05 ). The growing time of tumor in 15 mm Hg CO2 pneumoperitoneum (12. 5 d) was obviously longer than the control group ( P < 0.05 ) , the bulk and weight of tumor in 15 mm Hg CO2 pneumoperitoneum (0. 5 cm3, 0. 5 g) group significantly decreased compared with the control group (P <0.05). The positive rate of Ki-67 in 15 mm Hg CO2 pneumoperitoneum (27. 5% ) group was obviously lower than the control group (59.6%) (P<0.01). However, there were no significant differences between 0, 10, 12 mm Hg CO2 pneumoperitoneum groups (61.2%, 60.5%, 63.4%) and the control group (P > 0.05). Conclusion Clinically adopted CO2 pneumoperitoneum pressures have no significant effect on gastric cancer cells growth and proliferation.

Objective To investigate the current status of unintentional injuries among rural children aged 0-12 years in Shaanxi.Methods Using a three-stage stratified random sampling method to study the status of unintentional injuries among 4668 children aged 0-12 years old during the period of 2010 in rural areas of Shaanxi province.Results The overall incidence of injure was 27.3％,with boys as 28.7％ and girls as 25.6％ respectively(x2=5.91,P=0.015).Age differences in unintentional injuries rate were also significant(x2=9.91,P=0.007),with children under 0-3 years old having the highest rate of injuries,followed by 7-12 and 4-6 year-olds.Falls took the leading type of accidence among both sexes and all age groups.Poorer the family economic situation was,higher the incidence of unintentional injuries appeared.Conclusion Falls was the leading cause of unintentional injuries among rural children in Shaanxi province,with age 0-3 year group appeared the highest to suffer unintentional injuries.Unintentional injuries were associated with the economic status of the families.

Objective: To explore correlations between physical activity (PA), sedentary behavior (SB) and physical posture disorders in primary school students, and to provide reference for the prevention and correction of adverse body posture in this group. Methods: From September to December 2020, 206 children from 4 primary schools in Chaoyang District of Beijing were selected by multistage stratified cluster random sampling method. Body posture and PA were assessed using a body posture tester and a triaxial accelerometer. Children s Leisure Activity Questionnaire was used to investigate SB. Results: The detection rate of abnormal body posture in primary school students was 76.70%. PA showed positive assocation with high and low shoulder, X/O leg, pelvis forward, spine curvature and comprehensive evaluation ( β =0.17, 0.21, 0.19, 0.24, 0.19, P <0.05). SB had significant negative linear correlation with high and low shoulder, X/O leg,pelvis forward, spine curvature and comprehensive evaluation ( β = -0.24 , -0.22, -0.36, -0.24, -0.27, P <0.05). In the combination analysis, children with high PA plus low SB ( OR=2.12, 95%CI= 1.46-3.37, P <0.05) and children with low PA plus high SB had the highest and lowest advantages of qualified rate of body posture assessment,respectively. Compare with low SB and low PA( OR=1.71, 95%CI=1.41-2.74, P <0.05), high PA and high SB ( OR=1.85, 95%CI=1.38-2.86, P <0.05) had higher qualified rate of body posture assessment. Conclusion Physical activity shows positive effects on physical posture while sedentary behavior shows negative effects on physical posture. The combination of PA and SB has a counteracting or synergistic interaction effect.

Objective To observe protective effects on rat serum cardiac enzymes and the antioxidant capacity of selenium and vitamin E.Methods According to body weight and 2 × 2 factorial design,eighty male Wistas rats were randomly divided into four groups:low selenium and low vitamin E group(feed containing 23.42％ of the low selenium yeast,excluding vitamin E),low selenium and adequate vitamin E group (feed containing 23.42％ of the low selenium yeast and vitamin E 160 mg/kg),adequate selenium and low vitamin E group(feed containing 46.84％ of the low selenium yeast and sodium seleni 0.25 mg/L in water,excluding vitamin E),adequate selenium and adequate vitamin E group(feed containing 46.84％ of the low selenium yeast,vitamin E 160 mg/kg and sodium selenite 0.25 mg/L in water),20 rats every group.Rats were feed with synthetic feed,and given intraperitoneal anesthesia after 26 weeks of feeding.Blood was collected to observe the impact of selenium and vitamin E on rat cardiac enzymes and myocardial antioxidant capacity and their interactions.Serum creatine kinase (CK) was measured using the continuous monitoring method,creatine kinase isozymes (CK-MB) and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH ) using the immune suppression method,the whole blood GSH-Px assay using the dithiobis nitrohenzoic acid(DTNB) method,serum superoxide dismutase(SOD) using the xanthine oxidase method,total antioxidant capacity (T-AOC) using the complex colorimetry method,the content of propylene glycol (MDA) using the thiobarbituric acid colorimetric method,and reactive oxygen species(ROS) using the colorimetric method.Results Group differences of serum CK,CK-MB,LDH,whole blood GSH-Px activity,serum T-AOC vitality,MDA and ROS content were statistically significant(F=9.797,17.041,48.399,3.744,224.900,49.384,5.045,all P＜ 0.05).Compared with the two low selenium groups and one adequate selenium group,the vitalities of CK,CK-MB,LDH and the contents of MDA[(1577.75 ± 451.87),(1239.15 ± 344.99),(884.25 ± 133.84)U/L,(5.688 ±1.169) × 103 nmol/L; (1474.21 ± 398.38),(1014.84 ± 215.40),(523.00 ± 98.05)U/L,(4.035 ± 0.487 ) × 103 nmol/L and (1180.10 ± 245.51),(948.75 ± 173.68),(676.70 ± 193.63)U/L,(3.406 ± 0.146) × 103 nmol/L]increased significantly in adequate selenium and adequate vitamin E group[( 1056.80 ± 250.98),(721.70 ±129.98),(404.65 ± 72.49)U/L,(3.010 ± 1.270) × 103 nmol/L,all P ＜ 0.05) ].The activity of GSH-Px was obviously increased in the two adequate selenium groups[ (96.611 ± 8.238) × 103,(103.024 ± 8.217) × 103 U/L,all P ＜ 0.05],compared with the two low selenium groups[ (60.356 ± 8.179) × 103,(63.117 ± 8.281) × 103 U/L].Selenium affected the activities of CK,CK-MB and LDH(F =27.09,31.58,29.66,all P＜ 0.01 ),and vitamin E affected the activities of CK-MB and LDH(F=18.9,11.2.all P＜ 0.01 ),but both selenium and vitamin E had no interactions on the activities of CK,CK-MB and LDH (F=0.02,0.001,2.22,all P＞0.05).Selenium affected the activity of GSH-Px and the content of MDA(F=6.74,95.68,all P＜ 0.05),vitamin E affected the activity of T-AOC,the contents of MDA and ROS(F=6.42,36.73,8.43,all P＜0.05),but selenium and vitamin E had interactions only on the content of MDA(F =13.82,P＜ 0.05).Conclusions Long-term selenium or vitamin E deficiency,can reduce the body's antioxidant capacity,leading to the occurrence of myocardial injury.Selenium and vitamin E can improve the body's oxidation capacity,playing a role in myocardial protection.

Objective To compare the expression of leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in tissue and fluid samples from patients with endometriosis, and investigate whether LIF and IL-6 regulate VEGF in human endometriotic stromal cells (ESC). Methods The levels of VEGF, LIF, IL-6 in serum, peritoneal fluid of patients with and without endometriosis were measured by ELISA. The mRNA of these three factors in the ectopic and eutopic endometrial tissue and stromal cells were measured by real-time PCR. ESC derived from ovarian endometriomas were cultured using the method of primary cell culture with LIF and IL-6, and the level of VEGF mRNA and protein were measured by the method of real-time PCR and ELISA respectively.Results VEGF and IL-6 concentration were 1.2 and 1.3 times higher in the serum of patients with endometriosis than in the control group [(94±19) versus (78±17) ng/L; (45±14) versus (35±9) ng/L; all P<0.05]. VEGF and IL-6 concentration were 1.2 and 1.4 times higher in the peritoneal fluid of patients with endometriosis than in the control group [(110±25) versus (91±21) ng/L; (69±20) versus (49±15) ng/L; all P<0.05]. VEGF and IL-6 concentrations in peritoneal fluid of patients with endometriosis were 1.2 and 1.5 times higher than in serum (all P<0.01). VEGF, LIF and IL-6 mRNA expression were 2.2, 8.6, 44.7 times higher in ESC compared with the matching eutopic endometrial stromal cells (all P<0.01). LIF and IL-6 mRNA were 2.0 and 64.8 times higher in ectopic endometrial tissue than the matching eutopic endometrial tissue (all P<0.05).ESC cultured with LIF, IL-6 and LIF+IL-6 induce VEGF protein secretion [(106±18), (124±30), (140±27) ng/L] by 1.3 , 1.5 and 1.7 times (all P<0.05). Conclusion Overexpression of LIF and IL-6 may synergistically contribute to upregulation of VEGF in ESC and promote development of endometriosis.

Objective To study the effect of operating rooms of two different cleanliness on surgical site infection (SSI)in neurosurgical craniocerebral operation,provide reference for the prevention and control of SSI.Methods Neurosurgical craniocerebral operation undertaking in grade I and II operating rooms in a hospital between July 2015 and July 2016 was performed retrospective study,patients in grade I operating rooms were as control group and those in grade II operating rooms were as trial group,occurrence of SSI was compared between two groups of pa-tients.Results A total of 454 patients undergoing craniocerebral operation were investigated,212 patients were in control group (grade I operating rooms)and 242 in trial group (grade II operating rooms).Patients in control group had 25 cases of SSI,incidence of SSI was 11.79%;trial group had 31 cases of SSI,incidence of SSI was 12.81%. Nine cases of SSI were superficial incision infection,there was no deep incision infection,the other 47 cases of SSI were intracranial infection(organ space infection).There was no significant difference in the incidence of SSI be-tween two groups of patients(P＞0.05).Conclusion Grade I and II cleanliness operating rooms have no direct effect on SSI in patients undergoing neurosurgical craniocerebral operation,comprehensive prevention and control mea-sures should be taken to prevent the occurrence of SSI.
