Objective To explore the relationship of neck pain,neck disability index(NDI),and surface eleetromyography(sEMG)in subjects with work-related neck and shoulder musculoskeletal disorders.Methods Fifry-five patients with neck and shoulder pain participated in this study.VAS and NDl were used to evaluate the degree of pain and disability of the patients.The signals of maximum voluntary contraction(MVC)and typing status were recorded using the sEMG recording techniques.The amplitude of typing status was used to normalize the amplitude of MVC of each side of both neck and shoulders and the amplitude probability distribution function(APDF)of 50%MVC was calculated.Then.the relationship of VAS,NDI and the APDF values of each side of both neck and shouIders were compared.Results VAS was correlated to the NDI(P<0.01)and the APDF of 50%MVC and the later had significant differences according to different degrees of pain[mild to moderate pain(VAS<7)versus severe pain(VAS ≥7)];NDI had no relationship with the APDF of 50%MVC and the later had no significant differences according to different degrees of NDI[mild to moderate(NDI<25)versus severe pain(NDI≥25)].Conclusion VAS was correlated to the APDF of 50%MVC and the later had significant differences according to different degrees of pain:but NDI had no relationship with the APDF of 50%MVC.

Objective To establish a method for determining the dissolution oftorasemide sustained-release tablet in vitro and study the methodology of the determination.The consistency of the in vitro release behavior between self-prepared torasemide sustained-release tablet and original preparation were evaluated by constructed method.Methods HPLC method was applied to detect the cumulative release percentage of self-prepared torasemide sustained-release tablet and original preparation in five kinds of release media (water,0.1 mol/L hydrochloric acid solution,pH 4.5 acetate buffer,pH 6.8 phosphate buffer,and 0.1 mol/L hydrochloric acid solution turn to pH 6.8 phosphate buffer).Similarity factor (f2) was used to evaluate the similarity of release curves.Results There was a good linear relationship between the quality concentration of torasemide and peak area in the range of 1.0-12.0 μg/mL (r =0.9995).Results of precision and stability tests were good,and the RSDs for probational liquid were all lower than 2.0％.The average recovery of accuracy test was 100.04％,and RSD was 0.54％ (n =12).The homogeneity of within group of self-prepared preparation met the technical requirement,RSDs of each sampling points in six Dissolution Vessels were lower than 10.0％.The f2 factors of self-prepared torasemide sustained-release tablet and original preparation were 72,60,77,66,and 60 in five kinds of release media.Conclusion The method in the paper is suitable for the release test of torasemide,meanwhile,the self-prepared tablet shows consistent in vitro release behavior with that of the original preparation.

Objective To study the reliability, validity, sensitivity, specificity and predictive value of the Standardized Swallowing Assessment (SSA) in assessing swallowing function. Methods Sixty-seven stroke patients with dysphagia participated in the study. They were assessed twice with the SSA within 3 days. In addition, the patients' swallowing was also assessed using videofluoroscopy. Results There was high correlation in all items of the SSA between the two separate assessment sessions. The intraclass correlation coefficient was 0.85 for intrarater re- liability and 0.82 for interrater reliability. The SSA and videoflouroscopy results were highly correlated in terms of their total scores (r = -0.86,P≤0.01). Using the videoflouroscopy result as the standard, the sensitivity and spe- cificity of the SSA were 77.8% and 68.1% , respectively. At the same time, the positive and negative predictive val- ues were 48.3% and 88.9% , respectively. Conclusions The SSA has satisfactory reliability and validity, and higher sensitivity and specificity than videoflouroscopy. It is recommended for assessing swallowing with stroke pa- tients.

AIM: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of corneoscleral separation in the treatment of persistent corneal ulcer.METHODS: Collected 22 cases (22 eyes) with deep corneal ulcer were treated with drugs.These patients underwent corneoscleral separation or corneal interstitial filling of sterile gelatin sponge,by retrospectively observing the cornea ulcer healing,anterior chamber reaction and separation of new blood vessels grow between the layers,and so on,the surgical indications,surgical techniques,postoperative complications and treatment were evaluated.RESULTS: Patients were followed up 3 to 6mo,of which 18 eyes cornea were seen a small amount of new blood vessels,anterior chamber empyema after 7-9d.Ulcers gradually narrowed,infection controlled,the surrounding edema relieved,visual acuity improved by varying degrees after 12-15d.Postoperative 4 eyes for the mixed infection,2 of the 4 eyes were of the rapid progress,neovascularization did not grow into the lesion,ulcers on the verge of perforation and then done penetrating keratoplasty.CONCLUSION: The aim of this study is to introduce deep limbal vessels into the surrounding of ulcer foci,which to combine with drug therapy is one of the effective methods to treat deep corneal infection.

Objective To study the validity and reliability of the simplified Chinese version of Loewenstein Occupational Therapy Cognitive Assessment (LOTCA). MethodsThe English version of LOTCA was translated into the simplified Chinese first and then translated back to English to ensure its reliability in Chinese version.The we recruited two groups of volunteers to participate in the study. One group consisted of 36 patients with brain disorders (patient group), The other group consisted of 43 subjects without neurological disorders (control group). All the subjects were assessed with LOTCA and Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) within one session and on different days, respectively by two independent raters. Scores of LOTCA and MMSE were analyzed with Spearman correlation coefficient to test the validity of LOTCA. Intra-class coefficients (ICCs) were used to examine the intra-rater and inter-rater reliability of LOTCA. And Mann-Whitney test of non-parameters analysis was used to detect the sensitivity of LOTCA. ResultsThere was high correlation between the scores of LOTCA and that of MMSE ( r =0.9852- 0.9939 ). ObjectiveTo explore the role of ssomatosensory evoked potential (SEP) in evaluating and predicting the lower limb motor function of patients with acute cerebral infarction.Methods19 patients (13 male, 6 female) with acute cerebral infarction diagnosed according to the standard of Chinese Classifications of the Cerebral Vascular Disease were chosen as the case group and 18 patients (11 male, 7 female) with non-nerve system injury were taken as the control group. All patients of two groups were received SEP test within 7 days after onset and latency and amplitude values of SEP of two groups were compared. To the case group, SEP was tested again at 30th day after admission, the Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA) was also carried out at same times of two SEP tests, and the correlation of SEP and FMA scores was analyzed.ResultsThe difference of latency and amplitude value of SEP test between the case group and control group was significantly (P<0.01). The latency value of SEP in lower limb was correlated with FMA scores (P<0.01). But the amplitude value was no difference between the onset and 30th day after admission in the case group.ConclusionSEP is sensitive in the acute stage of stroke. SEP has significant value for predicting the prognosis of patients with acute cerebral infarction and correlates with the clinical FMA scores. The value of amplitude is not sensitive.
