[Objective] To probe into the psychological health status of middle-aged intellectuals and its influencing factors. [Methods]A cluster sampling of 1 474 middle-aged intellectuals was measured by the SCL-90 table and was analyzed by the Reliability Analysis, Principal Component Analysis and Analysis of Variance. [ Results ] The measurement table is highly reliable (Cronbach a = 0.949) and the Principle Component Analysis has main factors (A -1.97) and cumulative contribution rate is 80% . [Conclusion]Marital status, income and gender are the main influencing factors of psychological healthy status in middle-aged intellectuals.

Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of total hip arthroplasty (THA) with no femoral shortening oste?otomy for unilateral CroweⅣ developmental dysplasia of hip. Methods From October 2007 to January 2010, 32 patients with CroweⅣdevelopmental dysplasia of hip in one side underwent THA, including 20 females and 12 males, with an average age of 49.4 ± 9.7 years (range, 23-60 years). There were 15 cases as normal and 17 as mild developmental dysplasia of hip in the other side. The THA were performed with requisite soft tissue release and direct leverage using an elevator but with no femoral shorten?ing osteotomy. The patients' satisfaction, Harris hip score, bilateral leg?length discrepancy and pelvic obliquity was used to assess the clinical results. Results All of patient were followed up for 1-6 years, average 4.0 ± 1.5 years. No loosening or failure of component occurred by the end of follow?up. The Harris hip score was improved from preoperative 36.5±10.3 (20-63) to 89.8± 4.9 (80-97), and the excellent and good rate was 100% (excellent 16 cases, good 16 cases). The satisfactory rate was 93.8%(30/32). The leg?length discrepancy of the bilateral sides and the pelvic obliquity was corrected gradually and the gait returns to normal. Nine cases have valgus knee after THA and 4 cases of them felt uncomfortable after long?distance walk. Femoral nerve injury occurred in 2 cases. All of cases recovered after 1 and 3 months respectively. No infection and dislocation oc?curred. Conclusion THA with no femoral shortening osteotomy can achieve good clinical results in patients with unilateral CroweⅣdevelopmental dysplasia of hip. The discrepancy of leg?length will be diminished with the correction for pelvic obliquity.

Objective To screen stage\|specific expression genes of plerocercoid of Spirometra erinacei\|europaei. Methods RNA was extracted by the acid guanidinium thiocyanate\|phenol\|chloroform from plerocercoid and adult worm of Spirometra erinacei\|europaei. Contaminated DNA in the RNA was digested by RNase\|free DNase. cDNA was synthesized by using T\-\{12\}MA, T\-\{12\}MC, T\-\{12\}MG and T\-\{12\}MT primers, and PCR was then done using the same T\-\{12\}MN and one random primers. The PCR products were fractionated on 8% denatured polyacrylamide gel, differential bands of plerocercoid found in the gel were cut out, amplified by PCR and sequenced after the gel was dried out and autoradiographed. Northern hybridization was conducted to identify the stage\|specific expression genes. Results Eleven differential bands were selected from the gel and classified into 3 kinds of gene fragments by hybridization after they were amplified by PCR. The fragments 1 and 2 were confirmed to express specifically in plerocercoid by Northern hybridization, but the fragment 3 was expressed in both plerocercoid and adult worm. When the 3 gene fragments were homologically analyzed in GenBank, the sequence which was homologous with the fragments 1 and 2 was not found, but the fragment 3 had high homology with many kinds of 28S rRNA. Conclusion The gene expression of plerocercoid was different from that of adult worm probably because they live in different hosts. Two kinds of different gene fragments in plerocercoid were identified by mRNA differential display technique.

OBJECTIVE To study the HBV-DNA level and its replication with only HBsAb positive for transplantation. METHODS Serial serum samples were studied with the quantitative determination of HBV-DNA by a quantitative PCR assay and determination of HBsAb by ELISA. RESULTS The positive rate of HBV-DNA was 8.4% in the patients with only HBsAb positive and that was 11.11% in the patients who had not been injected with vaccine;the level of HBV-DNA in 11 samples was less than 10~4 copies/ml and five samples showed the amount between 10~4-10~6 copies/ml.The positive rate of HBV-DNA was 8.4% in the patients with only HBsAb positive and that was 11.11% in the patients who had not been injected with vaccine;the level of HBV-DNA in 11 samples was less than 10~4 copies/ml and five samples showed the level between 10~4-10~6 copies/ml. CONCLUSIONS Patients with only HBsAb positive are still infective,which should be paid attention in transplantation.

Objective To assess the practical value of ultrasound-guided percutaneous pericardium centesis in patients with pericardial effusion.Methods Twenty-eight patients with pericardial effusion were treated with ultrasound-guided percutaneous pericardium centesis from May 2004 to May 2009.Results Operations were successfully done in all 28 patients.The puncture needle,guide wire and drainage catheter could be clearly visualized under ultrasound.Complications included ache,bleeding and drainage catheter obstruction or prolapsus.Conclusion Able to be used bedside,ultrasoundguided percutaneous pericardium centesis is a real time,exact,safe and convenient method for the diagnosis and treatment of pericardial effusion.

Objective To observe attenuated store-operated Ca2+ entry in superior mesenteric artery endothelial cells of aged rat.Methods The pressure myograph was applied to measure the vasodilation of superior mesenteric artery induced by bradykinin (BK) in aged versus non-elder rats.Primarily cultured MAECs were treated by thapsigargin (TG) and BK to deplete intracellular Ca2+ stores for comparing SOCE.SOCE of MAECs was detected by calcium imaging technology and was compared between aged and non-elder rats.The expression levels of Orai 1 and stromal interaction factor 1 (STIM 1) were observed by immunofluorescence method.Results Compared with the nonelder rats (70.0 ± 4.1 ％),BK-induced vasodilation in aged rats (27.0 ± 4.9)％ was declined by (60.7±4.3) ％.SOCE induced by BK and TG in primarily cultured MAECs was attenuated by 37.6％ and 39.2％ in aged rats (1.71±0.18 and 1.06±0.03) respectively as compared with non-elder rats (2.72±0.39 and 1.75±0.06).The expressions of SOCE's components Orai 1 and STIM 1 in MAECs were decreased obviously in aged rats than in non elder rats.Conclusions SOCE of MAECs and SOCE-induced vasodilation are significantly attenuated in aged rats.The decreased expression level of Orai 1 and STIM 1 may contribute to this alteration.

Objective The solution for the cross-platform of visualizing human meridian acupoints by three-dimensional (3D) virtual technology was explored based on existing researches to improve interactive method.Methods 3D virtual technology was utilized to construct a 3D visualization model of human meridians and acupoints.The cross-platform 3D visualization system was realized by integrating the existing relevant standards and clinical knowledge.Results The system can visually and dynamically show the meridians and acupoints of human body.Moreover, it can reveal the details including part meridian circulation, the spatial structure of acupoints, etc which fail to be reflected by the real acupuncture model and two-dimensional (2D) planar chart.Meanwhile, the system can be employed to realize the visualization interaction between meridians model and human beings, and the multi-screen cross-platform user scenarios in the whole network.Conclusion It is expected to be widely applied in fields, such as teaching of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), scientific research, science popularization, etc.

BACKGROUND: Auditory evoked potential P50 (AEP-P50) is a cerebroeilectrophysiological index to directly reflect normal inhibitory function of brain.OBJECTIVE: To observe the changes of AEP-P50 of sensory gating (SG)in model rats with Alzheimer disease (AD).DESIGN: Randomized controlled animal study.SETTING: Neuroscience Institute of Kunming Medical College.MATERIALS: A total of 24 healthy female SD rats, aged 4-6 months,weighing 200-300 g, were randomly divided into experimental group, control group and normal group with 8 in each group. Morris water maze was consisted of round pool and lucite plant. Pool was divided into platform,left, right and bilateral quadrants. METHODS: The experiment was carried out in the Neuroscience Institute of Kunming Medical College from September 2003 to March 2005. ① Experimental group: Bilateral fimbria-fornix was transected to induce AD models; control group: Except fimbria-fornix, cortex and callus were transected; normal group: Rats were not treated with any operation. ② One week after modeling, all rats were tested with Morris water maze which contained localizing navigational ability and spatial seeking ability in order to determine successful models. Each rat was trained 4 times a day for successive 5 days. The duration from putting in pool to finding out platform was regarded as the escape latency (EL) which could reflect localizing navigational ability. Swimming trace of rats which searched platform within 1 minute could reflect spatial seeking ability. ③ AEP-P50 was recorded with "condition (C)-test (T)" auditory double clicks stimuli, additionally,differences of AEP-P50 among the three groups were compared at the same time. C-P50 amplitude, T-P50 amplitude, T/C and absolute value of difference of S2-S1 amplitude were calculated. Measurement data were compared with one-way analysis of variance among groups and with t test intergroup.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Morris water maze, I.e., comparison between localizing navigational ability a nd spatial seeking ability; ② comparison of AEP-P50 of rats among three groups.RESULTS: All 24 rats were involved in the fin al analysis. ① results of Morris water maze: With increase of training time, mean latency was shortened. The latency was decreased in the first 3 days and then stabilized gradually. Latency in experimental group was longer than that in normal group and control group (P ＜ 0.05). Swimming traces in normal group and control group were located at platform quadrant, and they were accounted for 45.23% and 39.7% of total quadrant, respectively. There was significant difference as compared with other quadrants (P ＜ 0.01). Swimming traces of rats in experimental group were accounted for 28.31%, 29.84%,20.47% and 21.38% in platform, right, bilateral and left quadrants, respectively; however, there was not significant difference (P ＞ 0.05). Swimming trace was randomly located in four quadrants. ② Results of AEP-P50 of SG: C-P50 amplitude and absolute value of difference of S2-S1 amplitude were (21.00±2.85), (15.26±4.07) μV in control group and (17.04±5.32), (10.85 ±4.24) μV in normal group, which were obviously higher than those in experimental group [(9.67±3.77), (2.89±2.61) μV, P ＜ 0.01].T-P50 amplitude and C-P50 amplitude were 0.25±0.18 in control group and 0.39±0.16 in normal group, which were lower than those in experimental group (0.92±0.41, P ＜ 0.01).CONCLUSION: ① Transection of bilateral fimbria-fornix can be used to establish AD animal models successfully. ② AD model rats whose bilateral fimbria-fornix is transected have deficiency of SG.

Objective To study the effects of oxymatrine as inhibitor of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome virus (HFRSV) infection in vitro and in vivo.Methods In vitro studies,a dose of oxymatrine without cytotoxicity and 76-118 strain of HFRSV was taken to treat Vero cells in three ways:①After treated with oxymatrine for 48 h,Vero cells were attacked by HFRSV at dilution of 10-1 ～ 10-6,respectively for 24 h before changing to maintenance medium; ②Vero cells were first attacked by HFRSV of 10-1 ～ 10-6 dilution respectively,then oxymatrine was used for 48 h before changing to maintenance medium; ③Vero cells were attacked by HFRSV at dilution of 10-1 ～ 10-6 respectively,and meanwhile treated with oxymatrine for 48 h before changing to maintenance mcdium.Each dilution handled four porocytes,and four positive controls were set up at the same time.Indirect immunofluorescence assay (IFA) was performed to determine the inhibitory effect of oxymatrine in experimental group and positive control.In vivo studies,thirty 2-week-old hamsters,weighing about 30-40 g,were divided into experimental and control groups according to body weight,n =15.These aninals were inoculated intraperitoneally with HFRSV in 100TCID50(0.1 ml each); on days 4-13,0.1 ml of oxymatrine 1:100 were given to each hamster in experimental group daily by intraperitoneal injection,while the same amount of saline was given to the control ones.Lung tissue of hamsters was then dissected out to slice to be identified by immunofluorcscence stain.Results It was demonstrated that oxymatrine with the diluted fractions of 1:8 was safe in vitro.When the virus dilution of HFRSV was l0-4,compared with control groups,the differences were statistically significant in method 2 and 3 (z =-2.53,-2.53,all P ＜ 0.05),while no statistical significance in method 1 (z＝5.36,P＞ 0.05).When the virus dilution of HFRSV was 10-1 ～ 10-3,10-5,10-6,the differences were not statistically significant (z--0.00,-0.32,-0.19,4.21,4.21,all P ＞ 0.05).In vivo studies,compared with control group,the differences were statistically significant in experimental group (z =-3.85,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Oxymatrine significantly inhibites HFRSV.

ObjectiveTo observe the effect of language rehabilitation training on stroke patients with complete aphasia.Methods10 stroke patients with complete aphasia were treated with language rehabilitation training.ResultsAfter training, scores of hearing, naming, reciting, reading, and writing of patients were significant higher than that before training (P<0.05—0.01).Conclusion Language rehabilitation training plays an active role in rehabilitation of stroke patients with complete aphasia.
