Epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT) is a process of normal cell physiological development, in which epithelial cells transform into mesenchyme cells through a specific program. EMT plays a key role in inflammatory reaction, cell development, tumor invasion, and metastasis and has an interrelation with prostate cancer stem cells. Recent researches show the involvement of EMT in the development and metastasis of prostate cancer. This article reviews the specific roles and action mechanisms of EMT in the progression of prostate cancer.

Chinese Journal of Infection Control 2017;16(5):434-438
Objective To understand the awareness rate of pulmonary tuberculosis(TB) prevention and control among residents in Beijing, so as to provide basis for giving publicity on knowledge of pulmonary tuberculosis prevention and control. Methods Residents in Beijing were randomly selected for questionnaire survey, the main content of questionnaire included The 2006 national survey on knowledge, attitudes and practice about tuberculosis prevention and control, the core knowledge of pulmonary TB prevention and control, as well as the related symptoms of suspected tuberculosis were also included. Results A total of 520 questionnaires were collected, 503 of which were qualified, the effective rate was 96.73%.Among respondents, the total awareness rate of five core knowledge about pulmonary TB prevention and control was 40.87%, 78.93% of the respondents knew that pulmonary TB was a chronic respiratory infectious disease which could seriously damage people's health,48.51% knew that the majority of patients with pulmonary TB could be cured as long as they persisted in correct treatment, only 19.68% knew that examination and treatment of pulmonary TB in the county (district) level TB control institutions could enjoyed national free policy.Nearly 53.48% of respondents knew 4 or more suspected pulmonary TB symptoms, only 7.36% of respondents could recognize all eight symptoms of pulmonary TB.Conclusion Residents in Beijing have low awareness of pulmonary TB prevention and control knowledge. If patients in the early stage of pulmonary TB can not identify symptoms, it is not only delay treatment and increase the spread of tuberculosis, but also induce the transmission of multidrug-resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis, so produce more challenges to pulmonary TB prevention and control.

China Oncology 2001;0(05):-
Purpose:To investigate the effect of CD40 ligandization on breast cancer cell line and endothelial vein cell line. Methods:The expression of CD40 and its ligand on breast cancer cell line(M231),EVC cell line, fresh clinic breast cancer cell were determined by indirect immunofluorescence assay with flow cytometry(FCM) analysis. Then M231 cells cultured with CD40 agonsitic monoclone antibody, adriamycin alone or in combinations for 72 hours and proliferation of M231cells was determined by MTT assay.FCM was employed to study the cells' death or apopotosis with Annexin V PI assay.Results:M231 and ECV cell line and fresh clinic breast cancer cell are highly expressed CD40 but no CD40L.CD40 ligandization can not only inhibit the proliferation of M231 cell line but also inhibit ECV cell line by promoting the death or apoptosis of these cells.Combined CD40 agonsitic monoclone antibody with adriamycin may obviously inhibit proliferation of M231 and ECV cell line.Conclusions:CD40 ligandization may have double therapeutic effect to breast cancer: inhibit the proliferation of breast cancer cell and inhibit tumor angiogenesis by inhibiting vascular endothelial cell.

AIM: To develop a method of determining notoginsenoside R_1,ginsenoside Rg_1 and Rb_1 contents in Xinnaozhi Capsule(Radix et Rhizoma Notogineseng,Hirudo,Eupolyphaga seu steleophage). METHODS: HPLC was used to determine notoginsenoside R_1,ginsenoside Rg_1 and Rb_1 in Xinnaozhi Capsule. The separation was performed by Zorbax C_(18) colunm with acetonitrile and water using a gradient program at UV 203nm at room temperature. The elution program was 0-3 min,20%-25% acetonitrile,3-15 min,25%-45% acetonitrile. RESULTS: 3 saponins were separated well.Average recoveries were 102.93% for notoginsenoside R_1(RSD=(1.26%));105.68% for ginsenoside Rg_1(RSD=1.52%);104.34% for ginsenoside Rb_1(RSD=0.70%),respectively. CONCLUSION: The method is simple and rapid and with satisfactory results. It is suitable for quality control of Xinnaozhi Capsules.

Studies on the prescription combination regularity based on medicinal tastes focus on the internal relations between the structure and hierarchy of the prescription combination system. In this paper, with the systematic and scientific self-similarity theory as the core ideology, authors systematically interpreted the self-similarity theory of medicinal properties, defined the self-similarity of prescriptions with identical or similar medicinal properties, and built the systematic view of medicinal property theory based on the prescription combination based on the entity grammar system. As a result, the system was conducive to integrating traditional Chinese medicinal knowledge of syndromes, therapeutic principles, efficacies, medicinal properties and tastes and achieving the automatic design and optimization process from symptoms to prescriptions, and providing scientific and feasible methods and technical systems for the application of the medicinal property theory, with a guiding significance to the technology, methodology and theory of decoction pieces compatibility, component compatibility and compound medicine design.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2014;31(1):69-75
This paper presents the preliminary design of data acquisition system of a portable uroflowmeter. The system uses double-hole cantilever pressure sensor. The signal is transferred to ATmega644PA microprogrammed control unit (MCU), converted by A/D (analog to digital) convertor. Then the further data are processed and get the corresponding relationship of weight-time and two curves of urine flow and urinary flow rate. In the measurement accuracy of the device about urine flow, two factors about the placement and height of the data acquisition are analyzed to show the accuracy of the equipment through the Origin 8.0 data analysis software. The design is characterized by low cost and high speed of data collection, real-time, high accuracy.

The Journal of Clinical Anesthesiology 2017;33(1):52-58
Objective To evaluate the effect of neuraxial and general anaesthesia for total joint arthroplasty by meta-analysis.Methods We searched online Pubmed,Web of science,Cochrane li-brary,CNKI,CBM and searched the literature of the Chinese series journals. All randomized controlled trials (RCT)that met their standards of neuraxial and general anaesthesia for total joint ar-throplasty were collected. The quality of trials was strictly assessed.RevMan 5.3 software was used for data analysis. Results Twenty-one RCTs involving 1 874 cases were included.Compared with general anaesthesia, the pooled data showed that the neuraxial anaesthesia significantly reduced blood loss (WMD=-97.52,95% CI = - 1 73.60-- 21.44,P = 0.01 ),associated with lower risk of deep vein thrombosis (RR=0.68,95%CI=0.48-0.95,P =0.02)and pulmonary embolism (RR=0.58, 95%CI=0.35-0.91,P =0.03),decreased the number of postoperative nausea and vomiting (RR=0.74,95%CI=0.60-0.92,P =0.008).Subgroup analysis showed that compared with general anaes-thesia,the neuraxial anaesthesia associated with lower risk of deep vein thrombosis (RR=0.5 1,95%CI=0.38-0.69,P < 0.000 01 )and pulmonary embolism (RR = 0.34,95% CI = 0.18-0.65,P =0.001)in patients who did not receive chemical antithrombotic prophylaxis. Conclusion Neuraxial anaesthesia seems to improve the outcome of patients undergoing total joint arthroplasty and reduce postoperative complications.
