BACKGROUND:The chronic wounds, also cal ed non-heading wounds, can seriously affect the quality of life of patients and has brought heavy burden to patients, as wel as health care professionals. celltherapy is a new method for promoting wound healing and plays an important role in the repair of chronic wounds.
OBJECTIVE:To summarize the progress of researches on the chronic wound healing mechanism and celltherapy, and to provide evidences for the clinical management of chronic wounds and relative basic researches.
METHODS:A computer search of CNKI database from 2005 to 2012, PubMed database from 1995 to 2012 and Foreign Medical Journal Ful-Text Service database from 2000 to 2012 was performed using“non-healing wounds, diabetic foot ulcer, wound healing, celltherapy”in Chinese and English as the key words to retrieve articles about chronic wound healing mechanism and the application of celltherapy. Total y, 42 articles meeting the inclusive criteria were included in result analysis.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The wound healing is a complex biological process, involving multiple celltypes, extracellular matrix and cytokine factors. The delayed healing of refractory wound seriously affects the quality of life of patients and has brought heavy economic burden to patients. At present, many methods have been employed to promote wound repair, such as local hyperbaric oxygen therapy, surgical treatment, herbal Chinese medicine, application of various growth factors, celltherapy and gene therapy. celltherapy is noninvasive and those delivered cells can adapt to their environment, are able to release growth factors and cytokines, and more importantly, are able to deliver the growth factors for the wound healing process due to cellsignaling capabilities. Currently, cells used for the treatment of chronic wound cells mainly include bone marrow stem cells, bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells, cord blood stem cells, peripheral blood stem cells, epidermal stem cells, skin-derived progenitor cells, adipose stem cells, fibroblasts and platelets.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of Lugol solution staining combined with nar-row band imaging (NBI)for esophageal cancer and precancerous lesions.Methods From December 201 3 to December 2014,1 87 patients who were with suspicious esophageal lesions and stained with Lugol solution under endoscopy were selected as control group,while from January 2015 to June 2015,124 patients who were with sus-picious esophageal lesions and examined with Lugol solution staining and NBI under endoscopy were selected as observation group.The sensitivity,specificity and accuracy between the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results One hundred and four cases (75.0%)were found among observation group,which was higher than 93 cases (55.6%)among control group (χ2 =12.07,P <0.01 ).The total detection rates of esophageal cancer and high grade intraepithelial neoplasia (HGN)were 29.0% and 17.7% in observation group respectively,which were higher than 1 8.2% and 6.4% in control group (χ2 =4.15,P =0.04;χ2 =8.54,P <0.01 ).The Kappa value in observation group was 0.55,which was higher than 0.36 in control group.The sensitivity and accuracy in observation group were 89.9% and 82.3% respectively,which were significantly higher than 71 .8% and 68.4% in control group (χ2 =9.79,P <0.01 ;χ2 =7.38,P <0.01 ).Conclusion The sensitivity and accuracy of endoscopic Lugol solution staining combined with NBI for esophageal cancer and precancerous lesions are higher than Lugol solution staining,and it is worthy to popularize the application of Lugol solution staining com-bined with NBI in diagnosing esophageal cancer and precancerous lesions.

Objective To study the changes of corneal sensitivity in diabetic and nondiabetic subjects after phacoemulsification. Methods This trial involved 42 diabetic subjects(42eyes)and 46 nondiabetic subjects(46 eyes)with cataract.All eyes were underwent phacoemulsification.Corneal sensitivities were tested before surgery and 1 day,1 week,1 month,3 month,6 month after surgery.Results The corneal sensitivity of diabetic subjects was greatly reduced at 1 day,1 week,1 month,3 month after surgery(P＜0.05),and returned to the preoperative values at 6 month(P＞0.05).The corneal sensitivity of nondiabetic subjects was reduced at 1 day,1 week,1 month af- ter surgery(P＜0.05),and returned to the preoperative values at 3 month(P＞0.05).The corneal sensitivity of diabetic subjects was lower than nondiabetic subjects before surgery(P＜0.05).The reduced range of corneal sensitivity in diabetic subjects was greater than that of nondiabetic subjects(P＜0.05).Conclusions The corneal sensitivity is decreased and the recovery is postponed after poacoemul- sification in diabetic subjects.

Objective:To study the effects of doxycycline on the proliferation and invasion of adenoid cystic carcinoma cells.Methods:MTT assay was applied to study the effects of doxycycline on proliferation of SAcc83 cells. Activity of type IV collagenase was detected by the method of gelatin incorporated SDS PAGE electrophoresis.Monolayer cell organ culture was carried out to study the invasion of the cells.Results:Doxycycline at 5～50 ?g/ml inhibited the proliferation of adenoid cystic carcinoma cell in a dose and time dependant manner. 10 ?g/ml of the drug inhibited type Ⅳ collagenase and decreased the invasion of adenoid cystic carcinoma cells by 48%.Conclusion:Doxycycline can inhibit proliferation and invasion of SAcc83 cells.

Objective:To investigate the effect of a low calcium diet on the distal and proximal tibial metaphysis in male rats using bone histomorphometrical techniques. Methods:Forty 3-month-old male Sprague-Dawley(SD) rats, with a mean weight of 280?22g, were randomized into five groups. Group one and group two were fed a normal diet (Ca 1.0%) and a very low calcium diet (VLCD ,Ca 0.1%) respectively for one month,and the rest three groups were fed a normal diet (Ca 1.0%), a very low calcium diet (VLCD, Ca 0.1%) and a low calcium diet (LCD , Ca 0.3%) respectively for three months. All animals received double bone fluorochrome labeling prior to sacrifice. At the end of experiment, the left tibiae were harvested for bone histomorphometrical evaluations. Brain injury is one of the most serious diseases in neonatal period,which can cause cerebral palsy,motor development delay,cognitive dysfunction and learning difficulties and other sequelae,and severely affects the health development and quality of life of the newborn.Neonatal brain injury (NBI) is a wide range of diseases caused by a variety of causes,its clinical manifestations lack specificity,clinically,it is difficult to judge the severity,duration and the time of prenatal injury,and it has been paid much attention to by scientific researchers and clinicians.At present,imaging method is a major means of NBI diagnosis,but imaging examination is usually a lag and limitations.Levels of humoral biomarkers change early after brain injury,and early brain injury can be predicted by detecting their changes.In recent years,a variety of sensitive brain damage biomarkers have been detected in various body fluids of newborns,mainly including neuron-specific enolase (NSE),ubiquitin carboxyl hydrolase L1 (UCH L1),S100B protein,tau protein,myelin basic protein (MBP),glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) and activin A and so on.the application and research progress of these commonly used biomarkers in NBI are reviewed in this paper.

Objective To investigate genotypes and antibiotic resistance of Escherichia coli producing plasmid-mediated AmpC ?-lactamase in Anhui province.Methods A total of 407 clinical isolates of nonrepeated Escherichia coli were collected from different cities in Anhui province.AmpC ?-lactamase producing isolates were identified by cefoxitin three-dimensional test and antibiotic susceptibility was identified by agar dilution test.Plasmid extraction,PCR amplication of corresponding group was performed, followed by sequencing.Results The positive rate of cefoxitin three-dimensional test was 8.1% (33/407), and the prevalence of plasmid-mediated AmpC ?-lactamase was 3.0% (12/407).bla_(CMY-2) gene,bla_(DHA-1) gene and bla_(ACT-2) gene were identified by PCR amplification and confirmed by sequencing in 5 strains,4 strains and 2 strains,respectively.A new CMY genotype was identified,with its sequence revealed 97% identity to the deduced amino acid sequence with previous CMY-2.This is also the first report on ACT-2 genotype in China.The susceptibility test showed that all strains were resistant to cephamycins and piperacillin,and susceptible to imipenem.Two strains of Escherichia coli producing DHA-1 were resistant to fourth-generation cephalosporin.Conclusions CMY-2,DHA-1 and ACT-2 are the most common genotypes in plasmid-mediated AmpC ?-lactamase produced by clinical Escherichia coli isolates in Anhui province. Carbapenems could be the first choice for the treatment of infection caused by AmpC ?-lactamase producers.

Toxic effects of L7 lyophilized powder of extracellular active components (L7-LPEAC), extracted from the Algae-lysing bacteria L7, on Chlorella pyrenoidosa were studied according to the changes of effective photosynthesis rate (EPR), the protein content, the chlorophyll a content and the MDA content of algae. The results showed that the growth of alga was promoted at low concentrations of L7-LPEAC (0.80 g/L, 1.25 g/L). The 96 h-EC50 and 120 h-EC50 upon Chlorella pyrenoidosa are 5.75 g/L and 2.55 g/L, respec tively. Background Age-related cataract is the leading cause of visual impairment worldwide.To seek the effective prevention and drugs for management of cataract is important.Naphthalene-induced cataract of rat is an ideal animal model for the research of human age-related cataract,and aspirin has been proven to inhibit the development of human age-related cataract.ObjectiveThe present study is to investigate the role of aspirin on naphthalene-induced cataract.Methods Forty-five 150-160 g female SD rats were divided into three groups randomly.Naphthalene was orally taken with 0.5mg/kg per day for 3 days and then 1mg/kg per day for 70 days,and then 100mg/kg of aspirin was given per day for 70 days following four-day washout period in group A.In group B,the animals was given orally only naphthalene at the same way.No any intervention was used in group C.Naphthalene-induced cataract was examined under the slim lamp every week.The experimental animals were sacrificed and lenses were obtained in 70 days.α-Crystalline was extracted from lens homogenate and purified and identified using High Performance Liquid Chromatography(HPLC),2-dimentional electrophoresis gel and Western blot.Different abilities of α-crystalline to protect β low crystalline from aggregation were observed using ultraviolet spectrophotometer.Results Naphthalene-induced cataract formed at the third week in only naphthalene group but at the sixth week in naphthalene+aspirin group under the slim lamp.No significant difference was found in the degree of lenses opacity in the second week among these three groups(F=0.032,P=0.969).However,a statistically significant difference was seen in the degree of lenses opacity in the fourth,sixth,eighth and tenth week among these three groups(F= 5031.130,P=0.000;F=115964.000,P=0.000;F=169846.500,P=0.000;F= 195431.200,P=0.000).Themolecular chaperone-like activity was significantly higher than that of the naphthalene-induced group.Conclusion Aspirin delays the progression of lens opacification through protecting α-crystalline molecular chaperone-like activity.
