Objective To investigate the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of Pseudomonas aeruginosa to antibacterial agents which were induced by disinfectants.Methods The susceptibility test of 68 strains from clinic was determined by VITEK-2 system.The MIC of povidone iodine,glutaraldehyde and chlorhexidine was determined by agar dilution method.68 strains were induced by different concentrations of three kinds of disinfectants for eight times.The concentration of three kinds of disinfectants was lower than their MIC.The MIC before and after inducement was determined by micro dilution.In the mean-while,strains of their MIC raised to antibiotics were inoculated on plate agar containing the PAβN which was the efflux pump inhibitor,in order to determine the phenotype of efflux pump.Results Six strains,MIC in 68 strains significantly changed after induction of disinfectants.The MIC of these six strains was higher than pre-induced to some antibacterial agents such as FQNs,cephems and carbapenem.The induction of povidone iodine and gilutaraldehyde were more obvious,and five strains,phenotype of efflux pump were positive after being induced by these two disinfectants.Conclusions The antimicrobial susceptibility of some Pseu-domonas aeruginosa will change after being induced by some disinfectants and the efflux pump will play an important role in this process.So the reasonable application of disinfectants were indispensable,in order to decrease the resistance and the opportunity of nosocomial infection.

Micro-implant anchorage was used for orthodontic intervention of 3 patients with buccal impacted maxillary canine,good clinical outcome was obtained.The micro-implant anchorage may provided a new approach for the treatment of this kind of teeth.

Objective To explore the effect of high fat diet on serum biochemical parameters and histopathology of main organs in Mongolian gerbils.Methods Forty-eight healthy adult male Mongolian gerbils were randomly and equally divided into model and normal groups.The gerbils in the model group were fed with high fat diet while the normal group with standard diet.Eight gerbils in each group were killed at the end of 4th,8th and 16th week,respectively,and the body weight, serum levels of Glu, TG, CHOL, HDL-C, LDL-C, UA, CREA, BUN, TBil, TP, ALB, ALT, AST and AMS were determined.The histopathological changes of main organs were observed.Results Compared with the normal group,the blood lipid of the model gerbils was significantly increased, the liver function was impaired, the blood uric acid level was higher, and the blood glucose was decreased at the end of 16th week.The AMS was increased at the end of 16th week,but the renal function showed no significant changes.The liver tissue of the model group gradually showed steatosis, inflammation, fibrosis and cirrhosis, accompanied by splenomegalia. The lung tissue and myocardium showed fatty degeneration and obvious damages in the later period,the pancreatic islets were enlarged and the amount of endocrine cells was increased,and the small intestine and kidney didn’ t show any distinct changes.Conclusions A gerbil models of hyperlipidemia and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis and cirrhosis can be well established by high fat diet feeding,and may serve as good models for research of hyperlipidemia-related hyperuricemia, and lung and myocardial damages.

Objecfive To analyze the relationship between aortic root dimension(ARD)and anterior circulation infarction(ACI)by measuring ARD of ACI patients.Methods The ARD of 110 ACI patients(56 men and 54 women)were measured with 2-dimensional uhrasonography during ventricular systole.66 control subjects(32 men and 34 women)without the clinical signs of cerebral infarction or organic heart disease and cardiac insufficiency were selected after carrying out detailed cage history inquiring.physical examination,CT or MRI and ultrasonic examination.ResultsARD in men and women Was respectively(29.80±2.35)mm and(28.88±3.06)mm in the ACI group.While it was(27.64±1.70)mm and(26.98±1.60)mm respectively in the control subjects.ARD in men and women was significantly higher in the ACI group as compared with the control subjects(P＜0.01).Logistic regression analysis indicated that the odds ratio(confidence interval)associated with ARD Was 1.630(1.205-2.204)in men and 1.494(1.098-2.033)in women for ACI.Conclusions There is a close relationship between ARD and ACI.ARD is an important risk factor of ACI.

Objective To investigate the effects of stellate ganglion block (SGB) on erythrocyte immunity in patients with acute cerebral infarction.Methods Twenty-four patients (13 male, 11 female) who developed acute cerebral infarction for less than 3 days were randomly divided into 2 groups (n=12each): Group A receiving traditional treatment and Group B receiving traditional treatment + SGB.The patients ranged in age from 51 to 64 yr and weighed 52-71 kg. All patients received intravenous 5% glucose 25 ml plus citicoline sodium 1.0 g and sodium ozagrel injectio 250 ml daily for 10 days in addition to dehydration and effective control of complications and intracranial pressure. Group B received SGB on one side alternatively with 1% licocaine 10 mi once a day for 10 days. Fasting venous blood samples were taken in the early mornings of the day before treatment (baseline, T1 ) and the 1st, 5th and 10th day of treatment (T2-4) for determination of the plasma MDA concentration and SOD activity, erythrocyte C3b receptor rosette rate (RBC-C3bRR) and RBC immune complex rosette rate (RBC-ICR) and Ne+-K+-ATPase activity in erythrocyte membrane.Results The plasma MDA concentration and RBC-ICR were significantly decreased during treatment es compared with the baselines at T1 in both groups (P＜0.05 or 0.01), but were significantly lower in Group B than in Group A (P＜0.05 or 0.01 ).The activities of plasma SOD and Na+ -K+ -ATPase in erythrocyte membrane and RBC-C3bRR were significantly increased during treatment as compared with the baselines at T1 and were significantly higher in Group B than in Group A.Conclusion SGB combined with traditional treatment can increase the activities of plasma SOD and Na+ -K+ -ATPase in erythrocyte membrane, inhibit production of oxygen free radicals and enhance RBC immune function in patients with acute cerebral infarction.

AimTo evaluate the efficiency of gene amplification technique used in detecting the specimens colleted from rodents to identify natural epidemic foci of scrub typlus. MethodMice of Kunining strain were experimentally infected by a certain amount of Oriential tsutsugamushi. The specimens of blood clot and spleen from the infected animals were detected by nested polymerase chain reaction(nPCR)specific to O. T sutsugamush at the day 3,6 and 9 of post-infection. Then the technique was used for detection of samples collected from field. As an infected index ,the specimen was considered to be positive only if a 88-bp DNA fragment from Sta 58kDa gene of O. Tsutsugamushi could be produced. According to the study ,it was estimated whether or not that the sampling area is a natural epidemic focus of the disease. ResultsThe specimens of both blood clot and spleen from the mica at day 3 of post-infecction showed negative to the specific PCR product ,but positive when detected at day 6 and hereafter. Of 111 spleen samples from the field collections in the northwest of Fujian province,one was positive, and another positive sample was in the 29 blood clots from Jiangxi province. It is demonstrated that these areas have been the natural epidemic foci. Conclusion The nPCR method is of highly sensitive and specific to be used in the etiologic study on specimens from field rats.

Objective To observe the intervene effects of montmorillonite powder and mannitol on rat with acute paraquat poi-soning by intragastric administration .Methods 40 male SD rats were divided into four groups randomly ,control group(C) ,pa-raquat group(P) ,PT1 groups were treated with montmorillonite powder and mannitol gavage after paraquat exposure one hour ,PT2 group was treated after paraquat exposure four hours .P ,PT1 ,and PT2 groups were exposed to paraquat 50 mg/kg .one and four hour later ,PT1 and PT2 group rats were given 7 g/kg montmorillonite-mannitol solution respectively ,C group and P group with sa-line instead .then to observe general state in rats .Give rats run training before and after intragastric administration ,comparison the fall times from the treadmill among groups before and 5 ,10 ,15 days after administration ,rats were killed in 15 th days exposed pa-raquat ,collect their lung tissue ,hydroxyproline content were measured in lung tissue of rat by alkaline hydrolysis ,observe the path-ological changes by HE staining in rat lungs .Results the general condition were poor in P ,PT1 and PT2 group rats .And those mean food intakes were significantly lower than the control group (P<0 .01) .there are no significant of the weight gain and the fall times from the treadmill before and 5 th ,10 th after administration among four groups(P>0 .05) ,but P group′s fall times increased significantly than the others group′s at 15 th day after exposed(P< 0 .05) .the all group rat lung tissue hydroxyproline overall difference significant(P<0 .01) ,from the two-two compared results ,three paraquat exposed groups higher than control group ,and P group also higher than PT1 and PT2 group(P<0 .05) .From the lung tissue slices ,P ,PT1 and PT2 group showed significant pul-monary fibrosis than C group ,and the P group′s was the most severe .Conclusion Pulmonary interstitial fibrosis may be alleviated by early use of montmorillonite powder and mannitol on paraquat poisoning rats .

Objective To primarily investigate the clinical value of analgesia/nociception index (ANI) in evaluating the analgesic effect during lobectomy performed via video-assisted thoracoscope.Methods Forty ASA physical status Ⅰ or Ⅱ patients,aged 25-64 yr,weighing 45-80 kg,undergoing elective lobectomy performed via video-assisted thoracoscope,were enrolled in this study.After induction of anesthesia with propofol,sufentanil and cisatracurium,patients received double lumen endotracheal intubation.Anesthesia was maintained with targetcontrolled infusion of propofol,and iv infusion of remifentanil and cisatracurium.The concentration of propofol was adjusted to maintain the bispectral index (BIS) value in the range of 40-60.ANI,HR,systolic blood pressure (SBP),diastolic blood pressure (DBP) and BIS value were recorded within 5 min before and after the predefined time points including posture change between lateral and supine position,ventilatory pattern change between onelung and double-lung ventilation,skin incision and trocars insertion,lymph node dissection and pleural lavage.At skin incision and during trocars insertion,lymph node dissection and pleural lavage,the development of hemodynamic responses (increase in HR and SBP ＞ 20％ of baseline value) were recorded.Results The incidence of hemodynamic responses was 100％ at skin incision and trocars insertion,and 84 ％ during No.4,7,10 groups of lymph node dissection and after pleural lavage and difference was found in ANI during these stimuli.ANI was significantly decreased within 5 min after skin incision,trocars insertion,No.4,7,10 groups of lymph node dissection and pleural lavage than that before the procedures (P ＜ 0.05).The BIS value was maintained at 40-60,and no significant changes were found between before and after the procedures (P ＞ 0.05).No significant changes were found in ANI,HR,SBP,and DBP between before and after the changes of posture and respiratory pattern (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion ANI can be used to evaluate the analgesic effect during lobectomy performed via video-assisted thoracoscope in patients and is unaffected by the changes of posture and ventilatory pattern.
