Objective To explore identification method for genuine glabrous greenbrier rhizome and ensure an accurate clinical medication. Methods Such aspects as characters, microscope appearance, physicochemical analysis,chemical composition, and efficacy were used to identified the genuine glabrous from its adulterants. Results There are significant differences between glabrous greenbrier and its adulterants in the above-mentioned aspects. Conclusion Genuine glabrous greenbrier rhizome can be identified since it has obvious differences from its adulterants.

OBJECTIVE:To explore optimal regime and less ADR for lupus nephritis(LN) by adopting self-made TCM prescription.METHODS:109 LN patients were assigned into control group(n=48) and therapy group(n=61).Both groups were treated with metacortandracin and cyclophosphamide.Control group were additionally given self-made TCM prescription.The clinical efficacy and adverse drug reaction(ADR) of 2 groups were compared.RESULTS:The curative rate and total response rate of therapy group were 77.05%(47/61) and 95.08%(58/61) respectively and those of control group 58.33%(28/48) and 77.08%(37/48).The curative rate and total response rate of therapy group were all higher than those of control group.There were significant difference between 2 groups(P

Objective By investigating the quality and unreasonable prescription of traditional Chinese medicine in our hospital, to analyze the reason and thus put forward the solution and elevate the whole rational administration level in our hospital. Methods 3000 prescriptions prescribed in our hospital from April 2008 to April 2009 were randomly investigated. Select the unreasonable prescriptions and unreasonable use of medicines in a prescription for statistical analysis. Results There were 258 unreasonable prescriptions among spot-check 3000 sheets of prescriptions, reaching 8.6%. There were 633 unreasonable medications, including oversized or excessively small dosage, improper compatibility, repeated medications, etc. Conclusion There is the phenomena of unreasonable prescription in our hospital. Therefore, we should reinforce the management of prescribing medicines and enhance the level of reasonable medication.

Objective To investigate the application of nasal jejunal tube and nasogastric tube of two different catheter ways in improving the severe craniocerebral injury and the low temperature condition and the role of early enteral nutrition support and compare the difference between its curative effect.Methods A total of 120 patients with severe craniocerebral injury underwent normal and low temperature treatment were selected,and they were divided into nasal jejunal tube enteral nutrition(nasal jejunal tube group,60 cases)and nasogastric tube enteral nutrition(nasogastric tube group,60 cases)by simple random sampling.After implement nasogastric tube and nasal jejunal tube,normal pressure using enteral nutrition elemental diet and/or enteral nutrition multi polymerization agent produced the best nutrient solution implementation of early enteral nutrition support,two groups of subjects under the condition of bowel function exists,within 48 h starting enteral nutrition,compared two groups of various nutrition indicators as well as adverse reactions and complications,and Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS)score,Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation (APACHE Ⅱ)score,etc.Results The patients with severe craniocerebral injury after early nutrition,the various nutrition indicators had improved in two groups.The rise extent of triceps skinfold thickness,arm muscle circumference,serum albumin,prealbumin,transferrin,hemoglobin and other indicators in nasal jejunal tube group was higher than that in nasogastric tube group on the 14th,28th day after admission,and there was significant difference(P ＜ 0.05).The incidence of diarrhea,bloating,vomiting,and stomach contents reflux retention in nasal jejunal tube group was lower than that in nasogastric tube group [5.0％(3/60)vs.18.3％(11/60),10.0％(6/60)vs.21.7％(13/60),5.0％(3/60)vs.21.7％(13/60),15.0％(9/60)vs.16.7％(10/60),11.7％(7/60)vs.48.3％(29/60),8.3％(5/60)vs.21.7％(13/60)],and there was significant difference(P ＜ 0.05).The incidence of complications in nasal jejunal tube group was lower than that in nasogastric tube group [16.7％(10/60)vs.76.7％(46/60)],and there was significant difference(P ＜0.05).The changes of GCS score,APACHE score in nasal jejunal tube group was more obvious than that in nasogastric tube group,and there was significant difference(P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions Early nasal jejunal tube enteral nutrition for the severe craniocerebral injury after the low temperature condition in clinical enteral nutrition implementation is feasible and reasonable,compared with a nasogastric tube feeding,can obviously reduce the complications of enteral nutrition and reach goals earlier nutritional therapy,can improve the prognosis.

Objective To establish a continuous flow analytical method for determination of potassium in environmental water sample.Methods The concentration of patassium in environmental water sample was determined by ALLIANCE auto-matic analyzer,and its data were compared with the data obtained from atomic absorption spectrophotometry.Results The de-tection limit of this method was0.5?g /ml.The method revealed linear relationship at the potassium concentrations of5-1000?g /ml.The recovery rate of standard addition method ranged from to97%to102%.The relative standard deviations were0.82%-1.23%.Conclusion The contents of potassium in environmental water samples could be accurately and rapidly deter-mined by continuous flow analysis.

Background The primary pathological basis of diabetic retinopathy (DR) is new blood formation due to anoxia and inflammation,which results in breakdown of blood-retinal barrier (BRB).Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a key factor promoting neovascularization.Researches determined that lycium barbarum polysaccharides (LBP) can protect cells against oxidative damage.However,the study of LBP in ophthalmology is lack.Objective This study was to investigate the effects of LBP on the dynamic pathological change of retinal vessels and expression of VEGF in retina of diabetic rats.Methods One hundred and seventeen SPF male SD rats were randomly divided into the normal control group,the diabetic mellitus (DM) group and the LBP group according to random number table.Type 1 DM models were induced by intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin (STZ,55 mg/kg) in the rats of the DM group and the LBP group,and then 250 mg/kg LBP was intragastically administered in the rats of the LBP group.The morphological change of retinal vessels was dynamically observed by retinal stretched preparation with Evans blue (EB) in 4,10 and 16 weeks after modeling.E B (45 mg/kg) was slowly injection via jugular vein,and 1％ polyoxymethylene was infused into the left ventricule.The eyeballs were extracted and retina were isolated.EB content in the retinas (mg/g) was calculated using retinal stretched preparation method at the time points mentioned above.Expressions of VEGF protein and mRNA in the retinas were detected by immunohistochemistry and real-time quantitative PCR at various time points,respectively.Results Retinal stretched preparation with EB exhibited that the abnormal degree in the shape,diameter of vessels and leakage of the retinal blood vessels were significantly slighter in the LBP group than those of the DM group in 4,10,16 weeks after modeling.At 4,10,16 weeks,EB content in the retinas was (12.17±1.55),(16.46±1.60) and (19.55±1.49) mg/g,which was significantly lower than (15.76± 1.90),(21.61 ±2.05) and (26.30±2.28) mg/g of the DM group (P＜0.05).Immunochemistry showed that the expression of VEGF protein primarily located at retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) layer.The staining intensity for VEGF protein was weaker in the LBP group than that of the DM group.The expression levels of VEGF protein (A value) in the LBP group were 0.234±0.011,0.331±0.023 and 0.536±0.031at various time points,with significant decline in comparison with 0.281±0.018,0.533±0.055 and 0.765±0.075 of the DM group (all at P＜0.05).Real-time quantitative PCR revealed that the expression levels of VEGF mRNA were 0.157±0.013,0.505 ±0.114 and 1.577±0.074 in the LBP group at various time points,which were significantly lower than 0.235±0.209,1.043±0.084 and 2.446±0.061 of the DM group (all at P＜0.05).Conclusions LBP can alleviate the DM-induced retinal vasculopathy,lessen the leakage of vessels well,and further protect the BRB.

Objective:To evaluate whether Salviae Miltiorrhizae Liguspyragine Hydrochloride and Glucose Injection has posi-tive effects on the prevention and treatment of radiation-induced lung injury. The basic function and mechanism of Salviae Miltiorrhi-zae Liguspyragine Hydrochloride and Glucose Injection were also investigated. Methods:A total of 70 adult male rats weighing about 200 g were selected and divided into seven groups. These groups were as follows:1) normal control group (N):rats were injected with 1 ml of normal saline per day;2) single medicine treatment group (D):rats were administered with 1 ml of Salviae Miltiorrhizae Ligus-pyragine Hydrochloride and Glucose Injection per day;3) single irradiation group (Z):rats were exposed to 20 Gy single whole-chest ir-radiation and injected with 1 ml of normal saline per day;4) irradiation with 10 Gy and medicine treatment group (Z10):rats were ex-posed to 10 Gy single whole-chest irradiation and administered with 1 ml of Salviae Miltiorrhizae Liguspyragine Hydrochloride and Glucose Injection per day; 5) irradiation with 15 Gy and medicine treatment group (Z15): rats were exposed to 15 Gy single whole-chest irradiation and administered with 1 ml of Salviae Miltiorrhizae Liguspyragine Hydrochloride and Glucose Injection per day;6) irradiation with 20 Gy and medicine treatment group (Z20a):rats were exposed to 20 Gy single whole-chest irradiation for four weeks, and administered with 1 ml of Salviae Miltiorrhizae Liguspyragine Hydrochloride and Glucose Injection per day;and 7) irradia-tion with 20 Gy and medicine treatment group (Z20b):rats were exposed to 20 Gy single whole-chest irradiation and administered with 1 ml of Salviae Miltiorrhizae Liguspyragine Hydrochloride and Glucose Injection per day. Two rats were selected and sacrificed at the end of two, four, six, eight, and ten weeks of irradiation. Samples of blood and lung tissues in rats were obtained. Results:In the group with single irradiation, the tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) levels in plasma of rats were higher than those in the other groups. In the group with irradiation and medicine treatment, the TNF-αand TGF-βlevels in plasma were higher than those in the normal control group and single medicine treatment group. In the group with single irradiation for four weeks,some petechial hemorrhages on the surface of the lung were visible to the naked eye. In the groups with medicine treatment, the petechi-al hemorrhages on the surface of the lung visibly reduced. According to the pathological mechanism of lung tissues, the groups with Sal-viae Miltiorrhizae Liguspyragine Hydrochloride and Glucose Injection exhibited less inflammation than the single irradiation group. Ir-radiation at 20 Gy for four weeks followed by a daily abdominal injection was slightly better than single irradiation, but the effects were not obvious. Conclusion: Salviae Miltiorrhizae Liguspyragine Hydrochloride and Glucose Injection could prevent the occurrence of lung injury by reducing the TNF-αand TGF-βlevels in plasma. After the occurrence of radiation-induced pneumonitis, the application of medicine could not decrease the symptoms.
