Objective To investigate apoptosis of placental syncytiotrophoblast in patients with early-onset and late-onset severe preeclampsia. Methods From November 2008 to May 2009, 15 cases with early-onset severe preeclampsia and 15 cases with late-onset severe preeclampsia matched with 10 women with normal pregnancies as control at Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Shanghai Jiaotong University were enrolled in this study. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to measure syncytiotrophoblast microparticles (STBM) levels in peripheral venous plasma. Caspase-3 were measured by western blotting.Results (1)STBM: the level of STBM of (71 ± 21 )μg/L in early-onset group were significantly higher than (42 ±30)μg/L in late-onset group and (26 ± 11)μg/L in control group(P ＜0.05). The level of STBM in late-onset group and control group did not reach statistical difference ( P ＞ 0. 05 ). ( 2 ) Caspase-3:the level of caspase-3 protein were 0. 85 ± 0. 61 in early-onset group and 0. 77 ± 0. 46 in late-onset group,which were all significantly higher than 0. 32 ± 0. 15 in control group( P ＜ 0. 05 ). However, the level of caspase-3 protein in early-onset group did not show remarkable difference compared with that in late-onset group (P＞0. 05). Conclusion STBM are shed into the maternal circulation in higher amounts in earlyonset preeclampsia, which indicated that early-onset and late-onset severe preeclampsia may have different etiology and pathogenesis.

Objective To explore the sensitization effect of insulin to chemotherapy as a metabolic promoter on human lung adenocarcinoma cells A549.Methods The sensitivity of human adenocarcinoma cells A549 to DDP was observed by MTT methods,and IC30 values of the cells were calculated.The optimal concentration of insulin to promoting A549 cells' growth was determined by MTT assay.The A549 cells were pretreated with insulin of various concentrations for different time period,and then the cell sensitivity to DDP was evaluated with MTT assay.Flow cytometry was used to study the cell cycle distribution of the A549 cells treated with insulin.Results The IC30 value of DDP was about 36.87?g/ml.It was found that the cell growth was significantly promoted with pretreatment of insulin at the concentration of 4~16mU/ml for 8~16 hours.Insulin enhanced the inhibitory effect of DDP(36.87?g/ml)on cell proliferation when human lung adenocarcinoma cells A549 were treated with insulin(2.0~16.0mU/ml;8~16h)as indicated by MTT assay(P

ObjectiveTo investigate the relationship between the change of circulating endothelial cell (CEC) level and coronary artery lesion (CAL) of Kawasaki disease (KD),and to further explore the method for early diagnosis of KD.MethodsThirty KD children were recruited for study,including 23 children with complete type of KD and seven children with incomplete KD.According to the results of echocardiography,the KD group was divided into CAL group (9 cases) and non-coronary artery lesion (NCAL)group (21 cases).Ten healthy children were enrolled as control group.Double-blind and controlled trial was conducted,and Hladovec method was applied for CEC counting.Results The CEC level was ( 1.09 ±0.60) × 107/L in KD group,which was higher than that of control group [ (0.38 ±0.14) × 107/L],and the difference was statistically significant ( t =2.85,P ＜ 0.01 ).The CEC level in the CAL group [ ( 1.84 ± 0.24) × 107/L] was higher than that of the NCAL group[ (2.01 ±0.38) × 107/L],and the difference was statistically significant ( t =2.24,P ＜ 0.05 ).The CEC level was ( 1.16 ± 0.63 ) × 107/L in the complete type of KD group and (0.83 ± 0.45 ) × 107/L in the incomplete KD group,which showed no significant difference between the two groups ( t =1.86,P ＞ 0.05 ).CondusionCEC level was elevated significantly in the acute phase of KD.The CEC level in CAL group was higher than that of NCAL group in acute phase.CEC level detection may be helpful for the early diagnosis of KD.

OBJECTIVE To discuss the effect of the different methods on the surface disinfection after the non-infected surgery.METHODS The surface of the objects in the operating room after non-infected surgery was monitored which were divided randomly into group A(n:30) and group B(n:30).The samples of group A which wiping with water and of group B which spraying with Dian′er Kang spray disinfectant were collected.RESULTS After using water to wipe the surface of the surgery mattress,the body position mattress,the arm-support,the instrument table,and the standing stool,the numbers of the fall bacteria were(8.96?3.41),(6.87?2.39),(5.75?2.30),(6.80?2.31) and(7.94?3.40)CFU/cm2,respectively.After the method of spraying by Dian′er Kang spray disinfectant,the numbers were(0.56?1.22),(0.65?1.96),(0.50?1.20),(0.70?1.51) and(0.75?1.30)CFU/cm2.There was statistically significant difference between them(P

Objective To construct nursing sensitive indicators applicable to operating room,in order to provide standard and quantitative basis for nursing quality monitoring in operating room.Methods Based on American's National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) and literature review,the key content of indicators and scientific measurement methods were determined by one round of internal inquiry and two rounds of expert consultation using Delphi technique.Results Operating room nursing quality sensitive indicators system was constructed,which contained 14 indicators.The expert authority coefficients were greater than 0.80 and the variation coefficients of each index were less than 0.3.The results were reliable.Conclusion A set of specialized,sensitive and practical nursing sensitive indicators were needed to facilitate sustainable development of operating room.

Objectives To investigate the closing time of patent foramen ovale in newborns and infants in order to provide appropriate follow-up time points.Methods From September 1,2010 to April 30,2011,131 of l 202 full-term infants with patent foramen ovale were finished follow up at 3,6 and 12 months of age in Beijing Children's Hospital,Capital Medical University.If the foramen ovale was not closed at 12 months of age,the patients were followed up until two years of age.The closing time and the effects of complicated patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) were analyzed statistically using two independent t test,Chi-square and trend Chi square tests.Results Of the 131 full-term infants with patent foramen ovale,72 were males,and 59 were females.The foramen ovale size in neonatal period was not statistically different between males and females [(2.94 ±0.86) vs (2.95 ± 0.92) mm,t=0.641,P=0.964].The foramen ovale closing rate at 3 months was 21.4％ (28/131),67.9％ (89/131) at 6 months,and 95.4％ (125/131) at 12 months.The rate of foramen ovale closing decreased with larger foramen ovale at 3,6 and 12 months of age (x2trend were 42.930,101.050 and 63.260,all P＜0.05).Six patients with patent foramen ovale at 12 months of age were followed up until 2 years of age:two cases with foramen ovale ＜5.0 mm in the neonatal period were closed,one of two cases with foramen ovale ≥5.0 but ＜6.0 mm was closed,and one of two cases with foramen ovale ≥ 6.0 mm was closed.Of the 131 cases,121 were simple patent foramen ovale,and l0 were complicated with PDA.There were no significant difference in neonatal foramen ovale size between children with simple patent foramen ovale and those with PDA [(2.95 ±0.88) vs (2.82±0.83) mm,t=0.782,P=0.649].The closing rates in the simple patent foramen ovale group at 3,6,and 12 months of age were 21.5％ (26/121),57.9％ (55/95) and 87.5％ (35/40),respectively,and showed no significant difference from those with PDA (2/10,6/8 and 1/2,x2=0.012,0.946 and 1.536,all P＞0.05).In the simple patent foramen ovale group,the closing rate at 3 months was less than that at 6 months and 12 months 0x2 were 10.410 and 62.515,both P＜0.01).There was no difference in the closing rate in patients with PDA at 3,6 and 12 months (x2=5.748,P＞0.05).Conclusions Asymptomatic patent foramen ovale with a foramen ovale ＜5.0 mm may not require follow-up.But patients with a foramen ovale ≥ 5.0 mm,even asymptomatic,should be followed up using thoracic echocardiography at 2 years,and further follow-up is required if unclosed.

OBJECTIVETo explore the maintenance effects of acupoint catgut embedding at early time on gastrointestinal function in patients with craniocerebral injury.

METHODSSixty craniocerebral injury patients with 5 to 12 points of Glasgow coma scale (GCS), according to treatment order, were alternately divided into an observation group and a control group, 30 cases in each one. Patients in the control group were treated with regular treatment and nursing care. Based on this, patients in the observation group, according to different pathogenesis and symptoms presented within 24 h into hospitalization, were additionally treated with acupoint catgut embedding. The recovery time of borborygmus, time of first anal aerofluxus, time of first defecation, abdominal pressure at different time points, the occurrence rate of complications (upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage, diarrhea, vomiting), time of enteral nutrition tolerance rate reaching 30 kcal/kg x d were observed and recorded.

RESULTSThe recovery time of borborygmus, time of first anal aerofluxus, time of first defecation and time of enteral nutrition tolerance rate reaching 30 kcal/kg x d in the observation group were all earlier to those in the control group (all P<0.01). At 48 h, 4 d and 7 d into hospitalization, the abdominal pressures in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group [(11.10 +/- 1.47) mmHg vs. (13.50 +/- 1.43) mmHg, (8.40 +/- 1.25) mmHg vs. (11.90 +/- 1.56) mmHg, (6.73 +/- 0.74) mmHg vs. (10.80 +/- 1.30) mmHg, all P<0.01]. There were 8 cases with complications of gastrointestinal hemorrhage, diarrhea and vomiting in the observation group with the occurrence rate o 27% (8/30), which was lower than those in the control group (70.0% (21/30), P<0.01.

CONCLUSIONThe acupoint catgut embedding at early time in craniocerebral injury patients could improve the recovery of gastrointestinal function, reduce intolerance of enteral nutrition and occurrence rate of various complications.

Objective:To investigate the effect of PLTP gene on CSE-induced IL-8 production in human bronchial epithelial cell line (HBECs). Methods:Wistar rats were exposed to air or cigarette smoke for 6 hours/day on 3 consecutive days,then the lungs were sectioned and examined. The number of total white blood cell and differential white blood cells in BALF were counted. The different concentrations of CSE co-cultured with HBECs for 24 hours. Cells growth was detected by MTT assay. Expression levels of PLTP mRNA and IL-8 mRNA were examined by RT-PCR,protein of PLTP was investigated by Western blot,and production of IL-8 ex-amined by ELISA. Results:The number of white blood cells in BALF was significantly increased compared with controls. Enhanced ex-pression level of PLTP and IL-8 were observed in CS-exposure group. Proliferation of HBECs tends to decrease at high concentrations of CSE(2. 0% CSE and 4. 0% CSE). The results suggested that the production of IL-8 induced by CSE in a time- and concentration-dependent manner,while the expression of PLTP induced by CSE in a dose-dependent manner. Furthermore,expression levels of IL-8 significantly increased after silence PLTP gene. Conclusion:PLTP siRNA could increase CSE-induced IL-8 production in HBECs.

ObjectiveTo investigate the treatment effects of comprehensive nursing intervention on patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) treated by non-invasive mechanical ventilation with BiPAP mode.Methods96 patients with diagnosed COPD and using non-invasive mechanical ven- tilation with BiPAP mode were randomly divided into the control group(46 cases) which was treated with routine measures and the comprehensive nursing intervention group (50 cases) which adopted comprehen- sive nursing intervention according to experimental design. The frightening degree, incidence rate of com- plications and clinical treatment effect by ventilator were compared between the two groups.ResultsPa- tients compliance with treatment and clinical treatment effect by ventilator in the comprehensive nursing in- tervention group was better than that of the control group. The frightening degree and incidence rate ofcomplications were lower than those of the control group (P < 0.01 ).ConclusionsComprehensive nurs-ing intervention with non-invasive mechanical ventilation with BiPAP mode can improve the treatmentcompliance of COPD patients,reduce complications followed by non-invasive mechanical ventilation andreach the prospective treatment effect.
