Objective To analyze the clinical characteristics of children with cyclic vomiting syndrome (CVS), summarize the clinical experience, and improve the awareness,diagnosis and treatment level of CVS.Methods The clinical data and results of long-term follow-up of the children with CVS were collected and analyzed from 1995 to 2009 in our department.Results Forty-six children were enrolled in the study, including 22 boys and 24 girls.Mean onset age was 4.5 years(ranged from 1 to 11 years)and the mean age at final diagnosis was 8.5 years (ranged from 4.5 to 14.5 years).Sixty-six and seventy-four percent of patients had family history of migraine and motional sickness respectively,whereas 83% patients had triggers.The clinical manifestation of CVS was severe episodic vomiting.The episodes had a rapid onset and sudden ending,persisted for several hours to days,and were separated by symptom-free intervals.The incidental symptoms were pallor, lethargy,intractable nausea,abdominal pain,headache,photophobia and dizzy.Twenty-nine patients diagnosed were followed up for 5 years at average.Five patients were treated with valproate,4 with cyproheptadine, 5 with cyproheptadine and valproate,5 with amitriptyline,cyprohep tadine and valproate,and 3 with cyproheptadine and flunarizine.All treated patients recovered mean 10 months(1.5 months to 2 years) years later and displayed the reduced number of episodes or the severity of episodes except 3 patients.Twenty-eight percent (8/29) of patients progressed to migraine headaches.Conclusion CVS is a relatively common disease in children and awareness of the condition should be increased.CVS should be considered when patients had recurrent vomitting and were completely healthy between the two episodes after excluding other pathological conditions.

Objective To investigate the characteristics of pulmonary function after completed cervical spinal cord injury (CSCI) and the effect of pulmonary rehabilitation with abdominal pressure. Methods 32 male patients with CSCI were measured with pulmonary function test (PFT), and 10 of them accepted pulmonary rehabilitation with 3～5 kg pressure on their abdomen 30 min per day for 8 weeks. Results Their forced expiratory volume in one second （FEV1）, vital capacity （VC）, forced vital capacity (FVC), peak expiratory flow (PEF) were all less than 50% prediction. After 8 weeks, the pulmonary function of 10 patients who received exercise significantly improved (P<0.01). Conclusion The pulmonary function impaired in patients with CSCI. The pulmonary rehabilitation with pressure on abdomen can improve the pulmonary function.

Objective; To investigate the expression and distribution of IL-6 in periodontal tissues and the change of the alveolar bone of rats during orthodontic tooth movement, and to study the effects of orthodontic force on the periodontal tissue remodeling. Methods: SO gram orthodontic force was loaded on the left first maxillary molars of 25 rats in experimental group. Immunohistochem-istry and histomorphometric analysis were performed to measure the expression of IL-6 and the loss of alveolar bone at 0, 1, 3, 5, 7 " and 10 days after the application of orthodontic force. Results; The expression of IL-6 was observed to reach maximum level on day 3 and to decline thereafter in experimental group. No obvious alveolar bone loss was detected in the mesial side of the first molars. Conclusion; Although orthodontic force can evoke the local inflammatory response of periodontal tissue and the expression of pro-inflammation cytokines such as IL-6, it can not cause severe periodontal destruction and alveolar bone loss.

Objective: To understand the current situation and impacts of household factors on of unhealthy dietary habits among preschool children, and to provide reference for preventing the occurrence of unhealthy dietary habits of preschool children. Methods: By using stratified random cluster sampling method, the study selected 1 070 children aged 3-6 years in 7 kindergartens in Urumqi. Household general information , children’s dietary behavior and parenting environment was collected through parent questionnaire survey. Results: The prevalence rate of unhealthy dietary habits among preschool children was 32.71%. Multifactor Logistic regression analysis showed that the unhealthy dietary habits of preschool children were negatively correlated to the following factors, including age of children [β=-0.32, 95%CI=(0.62,0.86)] , gender[β=-0.33,95%CI=(0.53,0.97)], educational level of mothers [β=0.94, 95%CI=(1.79,3.68)] , type of fanmily [β=0.64, 95%CI=(1.414,2.522)] and the scores of social adaptation/selfcare and environmental atmosphere in the family nurturing environment [β=-0.07, 95%CI=(0.90,0.97); β=-0.21, 95%CI=(0.76,0.87)]. Conclusion The cultivation of the dietary habits should pay more attention on younger children and boys, and the enhancement of health education on the children’s eating behaviors among mothers with lower education background and the primary child caregivers in the stem family. Family nurturing environment should be actively improved, in order to prevent the occurrence of children’s unhealthy dietary habits.

Objective To investigate the prevalence of healthcare-associated infection (HAI)in a hospital in 2013-2015,and provide reference for the improvement of HAI management.Methods Prevalence rates of HAI among patients in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University in 2013 -2015 were investigated with cross-sec-tional survey method,prevalence rates of HAI and constituent ratios of HAI sites in patients of different genders and different age groups were analyzed.Results In 2013 -2015,29 605 patients should be investigated,29 581 (99.92%)were actually investigated.Prevalence rates of HAI in 2013-2015 were 2.83%,2.14%,and 1 .73%,re-spectively,difference was significant(χ2 =27.521 ,P <0.01),which showed a downward trend year by year.Preva-lence rates of HAI in male was significantly higher than that of female (2.47% vs 1 .98%,χ2 =7.954,P <0.01). The prevalence rates of HAI in the age dimension was roughly U-shaped distribution in 2013 -2015.Prevalence rates of HAI in ≥70 age group was the highest(4.15%),in 0 -30 age group decreased with age,in > 30 age group increased with age.The top three sites for prevalence of HAI were lower respiratory tract (45.67%),upper respiratory tract (9.92%),and urinary tract (8.52%).Conclusion The prevalence rates of HAI decreased year by year in 2013-2015,which suggests that HAI prevention and control measures are effectively implemented.

Serum TSH level was determined by Enzvme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA).The expression of NF-κB p65 and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) were quantified by Western blotting.The results showed that serum TSH concentration was positively correlated with the expression of NF-κB p65 and TNF-α,and negatively correlated with insulin activity index.The levels of TNF-α and NF-κB p65 both were increased by TSH in a dose dependent manner(P＜0.05).

Objective To validate the analytical performance of three Cys C reagents with particle-enhanced turbidimetric immunoassay(PETIA) method used on the automatic biochemistry analyzer for preliminary clinical application.Methods The performance of three Cys C reagents (labeled as A, B, C) with PETIA method from Shanghai Jing Yuan Co., Beijing Leadman Co. and Beijing Jiuqiang Co. on OlympusAU2700 automatic biochemistry analyzer were assessed.According to the standard of CLSI EP6-A, EP15-A and EP7-P, the precision, linearity range, disturbance (bilirubin, hemoglobin, chyle) were assessed, and compared with those of Cys C reagent based on particle-enhanced nephelometric immunoassay(PENIA) from Dade Behring Co.. The reference ranges for Cys C in serum of 120 healthy individual were evaluated.Results The within-run CVs of the three reagents (A, B and C) were 3.08%-3.2%, 2.3%-4.15% and 1.38%-1.53% respectively.The total CV in A, B and C were 3.29%-3.44%, 2.65%-5.18% and 1.67%-1.69% respectively, lower than the stated.Limits of quantitative determination (LOQ) of the three reagents were 0.41, 0.23 and 0.07 mg/L, basically meeting the testing requirement.The linearity range was 0.22-7.26 mg/L(r=0.996), 0.20-7.72 mg/L(r=0.999)and 0.20-7.62 mg/L(r=0.997)in the three reagents, which demonstrated a sound linear correlation. For interference tests, no remarkable interference (<±10%) of reagent C was detected when bilirubin≤684 μmol/L, hemoglobin≤9.7 g/L and Chyle turbidity≤6 200 FTU; and no significant interference of reagent B was found when bilirubin≤684 μmol/L, hemoglobin≤6.79 g/L and Chyle turbidity≤6 200 FTU; when bilirubin≤684 μmol/L, hemoglobin≤4.85 g/L and Chyle turbidity≤1 240 FTU reagent A was not interfered significantly. The comparison afte and before the high-speed centrifugation reveals that the average percentage of bias for reagents A, B, C measured Cys C in chylous serum samples of patients was -8.31%, 1.52%, 1.32%, respectively.In method comparison tests, the regression equations of the three reagents compared with Dade Behring PENIA Cys C reagent were as follows:Y=0.787X+0.492 (R2=0.976), Y=1.098X+0.137 (R2=0.982) and Y=1.037X+0.249 (R2=0.996), respectively. Agreement rates of the high Cys C in reagent A, B, C and Dade Behring Cys C reagent were 80% (Kappa=0.615,P=0.000), 100% (Kappa=1.000,P=0.000), 91.2% (Kappa=0.824,P=0.000); While for reference range of preliminary clinical assessment, diagnosis coincidence rate of reagent A increased to 98.8% (Kappa=0.974,P=0.000). Conclusions When used in automatic biochemical analyzer, the three Cys C reagent with PETIA showed high precision,sensitivity, and sound correlation with Dade Behring PENIA reagents.The three reagents are all able to meet clinical test requirements, nevertheless, anti-interference capability were diffierent and the reference range should be further validated.

Objective:To investigate the effect of Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) on perceived stress and mental state of patients with in vitro fertilization.Methods:83 cases women who were assisted reproduction with in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET) in our hospital from May 2014 to December 2016 were selected as research objects.All the subjects were divided into control group and observation group according to the random number table method,with 41 cases in the control group and 42 cases in the observation group.Patients in the control group were given routine comprehensive nursing intervention,while the observation group was given MBSR intervention on the basis of the control group.The scores of self rating depression scale (SDS),self rating anxiety scale (SAS) and Chinese perceived stress scale (CPSS) before and after the intervention in the two groups were compared.Results:There was no significant difference in SDS score,SAS score and CPSS score between the two groups before intervention (P＞0.05).The scores of SDS,SAS and CPSS in observation group after intervention were (43.53± 4.89),(42.38± 4.34) and (27.53± 4.89),which were lower than (57.96± 7.30),(56.42± 5.49),(37.96± 7.30) before intervention,and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).The scores ofSDS,SAS and CPSS in control group after intervention were (51.13± 5.52),(51.13± 5.52) and (31.13± 5.52),which were lower than (58.83± 7.28),(56.45± 5.51),(38.83± 7.28) before intervention,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).And those scores in were lower in observation group than in control group,the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion:MBSR intervention can effectively improve the anxiety,depression and perceived stress of patients with in vitro fertilization,which is helpful in improving the success rate of IVF-ET,and it is worthy of clinical application.

We have developed a rapid and high throughput lipase-ANS (8-Anilino-l-naphthalenesulfonic acid) assay to evaluate the thermo-stability of lipases based on the ANS fluorescence signal's increasing and shifting when this small fluorescence probes binds to lipase. The testing lipase samples were incubated at a temperature range of 25 degrees C to 65 degrees C for 30 min before mixed with ANS solution (0.20 mg/mL lipase and 0.05 mmol/L ANS in the buffer of 20 mmol/L Tris-HCl, 100 mmol/L NaCl, pH 7.2) in a cuvette or microplate. Fluorescence signals of the samples were measured at EX 378 nm, EM 465 nm with a fluorescence photometer or a plate reader, and Tm was calculated with the software of GraphPad Prism5.0. The Tm values of several mutants of Penicillium expansum lipase (PEL) were measured with this ANS assay and conventional method simultaneously and the results show that Tm values are comparative and consistent between these methods, suggesting that the lipase-ANS assay is a reliable, rapid and high throughput method for lipase thermo-stability measurement.

Objective To investigate the potential mechanism for symptoms related to epigastric discomfort in patients without Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori) infection.Methods Patients who underwent gastric endoscopy and conformed H.pylori negative by histologic examination were enrolled.Among them,232 adult patients were collected between August 2006 and November 2006 and 31 children were collected between September 2005 and August 2009.All patients showed no apparent abnormality by endoscopic examination.The endoscopic biopsy was examined with HE or Warthin-Starry staining.Results In adult group,arteriole obstruction was found in 16 (8.8%) cases and focal haemorrhage in 82 (45.6%) cases.Both were existed in 82 (45.6%) cases.The histopathologic findings showed that arteriole obstruction in transition zone (65.2 %,P = 0.159) was common,whereas the focal haemorrhage in gastric fundus and corpus (65.6%,P=0.001) was in predominance.The symptom of heartburn was less in patients with arteriole obstruction and/or focal haemorrhage in comparison with those without these changes (x2 =8.564,P=0.003).In adolescent group,arteriole obstruction and/or focal haemorrhage accounted for 96.8% (30/31).Conclusion Gastric mucosa ischemic resulted from arteriole obstruction are commonly seen in both adult and adolescent patients,which is an important reason for epigastric discomfort in H.pylori negative patients.
