Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of back-Shu and front-Mu points combination needling on balance and walking function in patients after stroke and its mechanism. Methods:A total of 79 patients with post-stroke balance and walking dysfunction were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group.Both groups received conventional treatments such as dietary guidance and oral medications as well as rehabilitation training.On this basis,the control group was treated with additional conventional acupuncture,and the observation group was treated with additional back-Shu and front-Mu points combination needling.Both groups were treated for 4 consecutive weeks.The thickness of abdominal muscle group(transverse abdominal muscle,rectus abdominis,obliquus internus abdominis,and obliquus externus abdominis),the scores of Berg balance scale(BBS),Fugl-Meyer assessment(FMA),and functional ambulation categories(FAC),and walking velocity and stride were compared between the two groups. Results:During the trial,there was 1 dropout case in the control group and 4 dropout cases in the observation group.Before treatment,there were no statistical differences in the abdominal muscle group thickness,scores of BBS,FMA,and FAC,and walking velocity and stride between the two groups(P>0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment,the thickness of abdominal muscle groups,scores of BBS,FMA,and FAC,and walking velocity and stride in both groups were improved(P<0.01),and the observation group was superior to the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Both conventional acupuncture and back-Shu and front-Mu points combination needling are conducive to the improvement of balance and walking function in patients after stroke.The back-Shu and front-Mu points combination needling method has better curative efficacy.Strengthening the core muscle group strength may be one of the mechanisms of back-Shu and front-Mu points combination needling treatment.

Both basic and clinical studies have confirmed that inflammatory response plays an important role in the occurrence and development of atherosclerosis (AS) as well as its caused clinical events.The aggregation phenomena of T lymphocytes,macrophages and dendritic cells (DCs) can be observed in intima and atherosclerotic plaques in the event of atherosclerosis.As the most important antigen-presenting cells activating T lymphocytes,DCs have the important functions of determining T lymphocyte activation,apoptosis,and aggregation.This article reviews the correlation between DCs and atherosclerotic lesions.

Objective To evaluate the analgesic effect of oxycodone hydrochloride and morphine in preemptive analgesia for abdominal surgery.Methods The 200 patients who received abdominal operation were randomly divided into the oxycodone hydrochloride group (group O) and the morphine group(group M) with 100 patients in each group,and patients of the two groups were given oxycodone hydrochloride and morphine in preemptive analgesia respectively .The VAS, OAA/S and BCS 48 hours after surgery , the frequency of the use of PCIA in 24 hours,the satisfaction of patients ,and the occurrence rate of complications were compared between the two groups .Results There was no significant difference between the two groups in VAS ,BCS,OAA/S,frequency of the use of PCIA and patients satisfaction (P>0.05).The occurrence rate of nausea,vomit,and itch in group O were much lower than that in group M (P<0.05).The occurrence rate of drowsiness in group O was higher than that of group M(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with morphine,oxycodone hydrochloride has the same analgesia efficiency and less side effect occurrence rate for patients with abdominal operation .

Objective To investigate the clinical and laboratory profiles of a case of infantile chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis due to malnutrition.Methods Skin specimens were collected and examined by KOH preparation,fungus culture,biochemical tests and molecular biological study.The pathogenic strain and antimicrobial susceptibility were defined.Results A 5 month-old-girl was presented with big head,and erythema,erosion and crust on her head,auricles,nostrils,oral cavity,neck and buttocks,and itching,for 1 month.Dystrophic hair and nails were observed.Candida albicans was isolated from specimens of the buttocks and Candida glabrata from the scalp.The abnormalities,CD16+ (56 6.5%),serum IgG (6.74 g/L),IgA (0.321 g/L),and albumin (18 g/L) were found with flow cytometry and immunoassays.Conclusion The patient is diagnosed as infantile chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis,who is immunocompromised due to protein malnutrition.

AIM: To study the effect of peach seed (semen Persicae) on gene expression of mouse with sarcoma 180 by means of DNA microarray. METHODS: DNA microarrays were made by spotting PCR products of 4096 mice cDNA noto a specially treated glass slides. The probes were prepared by labeling experimental and control group tumor tissue mRNA with Cy3 dUTP and Cy5 dUTP separately through reverse transcription. The arrays were then hybridized against the cDNA probe mixture and the fluorescent signals were scanned. The data obtained were analyzed from two repeated experiments. RESULTS: 64 genes were obtained by computer processing. CONCLUSION: These genes identified through this approach are considered as potential candidates for PSPA anti tumor effect.

Objective To investigate the expression of MMP-2 and c-erbB-2 and evaluate the correlation of clinical pathological parameters in non-small cell lung cancer. Methods Forty-five paraffin-embedded specimens of radical postoperative non-small cell lung cancer was detective for MMP-2 and c-erbB-2 using immunohistochemical method. Results The positive rates of MMP-2 and c-erbB-2 are 57.8 %, 75.6 %, there is a significance between the expression of MMP-2 and lymph node metastases(P =0.006), the expression of c-erbB-2 is related to clinical stage and lymph node metastases (P =0.015, P =0.032), The expression of MMP-2 and c-erbB-2 are related to 5-year survival rate (P =0.002, P =0.003). Conclusion The expression of MMP-2 and c-erbB-2 is significantly related to some clinical parameters and 5-year survival rate.

Objective To develop a balloon-type head fixation pillow for interventional neuroradiology operation.Methods Some radiotransparent sponge with high elasticity and strength and some nonopaque cloth with high skin compatibility were employed to make pillow base adaptable to the posterior fossa, neck and shoulder. A inflatable balloon made of anti-tensile airtight nylon was used to fix the underjaw.Results The fixation pillow gained advantages over the common one in imaging times, X-ray exposure dose and abnormal condition.Conclusion The head fixation pillow may decrease operating time, exposure dose and complications during interventional neuroradiology operation, and thus is worth popularizing clinically.

Objective To evaluate the clinical value of computer-aided detection (CAD) system in the diagnosis of breast cancer on mammograms. Methods The mammograms of 136 pathology-proved breast cancer cases were analyzed by CAD system. The results of CAD were compared with that made by radiologists. Results The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of CAD system to microcalcification lesions were 93.2% (41/44), 22.8%(21/92), and 45.6%(62/136), respectively. The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of CAD system to mass lesions were 82.9%(107/129), 71.4%(5/7), and 82.4%(112/136), respectively. There was middle level agreement between the detection of CAD system and that of the radiologists (Kappa_(mass)=0.424, P_(mass)=0.000; Kappa_(cal)=0.365, P_(cal)=0.013). Conclusion CAD system has the characteristics of high sensitivity and low specificity. It could be the aid of radiologists in breast cancer detection on mammograms.

Objective To investigate the effects of collateral pathways on prognosis of cerebral infarct patients with prior transient ischemic attack (TIA) and its role in neuroprotective mechanism of TIA. Methods A total of 164 cases of the first ever cerebral infarct patients were consecutively allocated into three groups: A , B and C group according to their age.Three groups were divided into two subgroups respectively based on the absence or presence of prior ipsilateral TIA: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2 group. Neurological dysfunctional scores at admission and 1 month after treatment, barthel index, collateral pathways status, and cerebral infarction volume were evaluated respectively. The relationship between development of collateral pathways and prognosis was assessed at the same time. Objective:To explore the immunosuppression effects and tocolysis of fructus polygoni orientalis on abortion mice induced by LPS.Methods:Mice of Kunming (55 mice) were divided into control group (group A ,10 mice) and experimental group. Experimental group were divided into group B ( intraperitoneal injection LPS ) , group C ( ingestion fructus polygoni orientalis ) , and group D (ingestion fructus polygoni orientalis and intraperitoneal injection LPS ),each group of 15 mice.Then the pregnancy results were observed ,the positive of α-NAE+and the varity of CD 14+and CD204+macrophages ,TNF-αin the uteri were identified by enzyme-histochemistry ,immunohistochemistry and ELISA.Results:The abortion rate and the embryo resorbing rate were all 100%( P<0.01 ) in group B.But there was the decreased abortion rate of 13.33% in group D .The embryo resorbing rate decreased to 10.39%.The number and positive cell area of α-NAE+and CD14+macrophages in the uteri of gestation mice of group B was greatly increased comparing with group A ( P<0.01 ) .These effects outside of myometrium of group D were remarkably increased comparing with group A (P<0.01),but there was no distinct difference in the inside of myometrium and function layer.The number and positive cell area of CD204+macrophages in group C and D was greatly increased comparing with group A and B ( P<0.01 ) .The TNF-αcontents in the uteri of mice in group B were greatly increased comparing with group A (P<0.01),but the positive cell area of CD14,CD204 were close to normal levels in group D.Conclusion:The effect of miscarriage induced by LPS is antagonized by fructus polygoni orientalis through inhibiting the phenotype ,activity and function characteristics of macrophages in the uteri of gravidity mice.
