Objective To observe the expression of tissue transglutaminase (tTG) in renal tissues of diabetic nephropathy rats, and to investigate its contribution to the progression of diabetic nephropathy. Methods Streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats were sacrificed at 30 d, 60 d, 90 d, and 120 d respectively. Albuminuria excretion rate (AER), kidney weight index and serum creatinine (Scr) of the rats were measured. Hematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining and periodic acid-silver-methenamine (PASM) staining were used to observe the renal pathological changes. CollagenⅣ(ColⅣ) and soluble tTG protein in kidney were examined by immunohistochemistry,insoluble tTG by immunofluorescence. Expression of total tTG mRNA in kidney was detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Results AER, kidney weight index and Scr of diabetic rats were all progressive during the period of the experiment. Objective: To investigate the role of clinical pharmacist in the treatment of patients with severe infections in urology department.Methods: An objective analysis of the important roles of clinical pharmacists was carried out by making and adjusting the anti-infective treatment plan of two patients in urology department.Results: During the participation in the treatment of two patients with severe infections in urology department, clinical pharmacists played important roles in the treatment of the diseases through observing the clinical symptoms,analyzing the conditions of the patients and giving the pharmaceutical opinions and suggestions, and finally the infections were controlled successfully.Conclusion: Clinical pharmacists should participate in the therapy strategy adjustment in urology department using their professional knowledge to play important roles in the management of anti-infection strategy for severe patients.

Objectives To explore the status and characteristics of changes in lung function in the elderly in communities of Beijing,and to provide reference for improving the prevention and control of chronic lung disease in the elderly.Methods A stratified,segmented and cluster sampling method was used to investigate 1 144 subjects aged 60 years and over in communities of Beijing (Huairou District,Daxing District rural area and Xicheng District).Health status and pulmonary function were assessed,and characteristics of lung functions and their changes were analyzed in the elderly.Results The average vital capacity(VC)was 2.53L,and forced vital capacity(FVC) was 2.29 L,forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1)was 1.81 L,1 second rate (FEV1/FVC) was 83.42 ％.Static vital capacity was decreased in 1/3 of the elderly,and dynamic vital capacity,including FVC and FEV1,was reduced in about half of the elderly.Ratio of decline in lung function in the elderly was higher in male and in urban area than in women and in rural areas.Ratio of decline in each index of pulmonary ventilation function showed a significantly increased tendency along with the ageing.Lung dysfunction types in the elderly included a restricted (23.5％)and obstructive ventilation disorder (19.7％)and mixed ventilation disorder(12.8％).Conclusions The ratio of decline in lung function in the elderly is increased along with aging,and more significantly higher in female and in urban than in male and in countryside.Restrictive ventilation disorder in the elderly is more often in urban areas,while obstructive ventilation disorder occurs mostly in rural areas.Corresponding measures should be adopted for different groups of people.

Objective To investigate the potential vascular stimulation of potassium chloride and sodium chloride injection.Methods Sixteen rabbits were divided equally into two groups:group one and group two,with six rabbits in each group.According to the highest dose and maximum infusion speed for routine potassium supplementation in clinic,potassium chloride and sodium chloride injection or 0.9％ sodium chloride injection was administrated,respectively,at the same infusion speed and the same infusion volume via the marginal ear veins of rabbits.The vascular stimulation and the pathological changes of marginal ear vein and its surrounding tissue of rabbits were observed by the blinding method.Results Vascular stimulation,including hyperaemia,tumidness,necrosis and pathological changes,such as inflammatory cell infiltration and cellular necrosis,were not found in two groups.Conclusions Potassium chloride and sodium chloride injection has no stimulation to the wall of blood vessels.

It is to investigate the effect of two kinds of Houttuynia Cordata Injection on preventing and treating H1N1 influenza virus infection in mice. Pneumonia model was set up by intranasal infection of the normal and immunocompromised mice with influenza virus FM1 and PR8. The two injections were administered before and after the administration of virus, separately, and the lung index was observed. The results showed that the two preparations have obvious therapeutic effect on normal mice infected with influenza virus FM1 and PR8. And to FM1, the new injection's effect is better at small dosage. The results also showed that the two preparations have obvious prophylactic effect on immunodepressed mice infected with influenza virus FM1 and PR8. And to PR8, the old injection's effect is better at small dosage. Houttuynia Cordata Injection can improve the mice pneumonia caused by influenza virus H1N1 and decrease the lung index markedly. It has a remarkable preventive and therapeutic effect on H1N1 influenza virus in mice.

In order to discover the mechanism of Xuebijing oral effervescent tablet (XBJOET) to treat infectious diseases, the effect of XBJOET on endotoxin induced rabbit fever and disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) was investigated. Auricle microcirculation in rabbit was detected by laser speckle blood perfusion imager system; coagulation function was measured by coagulation analyzer, fibrinolytic system was quantified by Elisa assay and micro thrombosis in tissues was observed with HE staining under light microscope. The results demonstrated that the body temperature of rabbit decreased significantly at 1-3 h after administration with 4.8, 2.4 and 1.2 g x kg(-1) XBJOET to endotoxin induced DIC rabbit model, the auricle microcirculation blood flow in model group (54.45 +/- 14.53) PU was lower than that in control group (77.18 +/- 12.32) PU. The auricle microcirculation blood flow increased markedly and there was significant difference between model group and 1.2 g x kg(-1) XBJOET group. There was significant difference between model group and control group in the content of PAI1 and FIB. The PAI1 levels in model and control groups were (30.48 +/- 2.46) ng x mL(-1) and (20.93 +/- 3.25) ng x mL(-1), respectively. The FIB levels in model and control group were (3.34 +/- 1.09) g x L(-1) and (4.84 +/- 1.10) g x L(-1), respectively. The content of PAI1 in rabbit plasma decreased notably, there were significant differences between model group and 4.8, 2.4 g x kg(-1) XBJOET groups. On the contrary the content of FIB increased. XBJOET possessed pharmacological activities of curing infectious fever and DIC, the mechanism of which is related to amelioration of microcirculation disturbance, inhibition of fibrinolytic system activation and coagulation and micro thrombosis elimination.

This study is to investigate the treatment of Jin Chai antiviral capsule for influenza virus FM1/47 (H1N1) infection. The model of pneumonia was established by dropping influenza virus into the nose of normal mice, real-time PCR and Western blot technique were used to detect the virus load and the interferoninducible transmembrane protein3 (IFITM3) in lung of mice at the 1st day, 3rd day, 5th day and 7th day after affected. The results showed that Jin Chai antiviral capsule in large, middle, small dose groups can decrease virus load significantly at each time point, after being affected (P<0.05, P<0.01), Jin Chai antiviral capsule can increase the interferoninducible transmembrane protein3 in lung of mice, large dose groups are significantly higher in expression of IFITM3 compared with model group at each time point (P<0.05, P<0.01). Middle dose groups are significantly higher in expression of IFITM3 compared with model group at the 3th day and the 5th day (P<0.05), small dose groups are significantly higher in expression of IFITM3 compared with model group at the 3th day (P<0.05). It can be concluded that Jin Chai antiviral capsule exerts antiviral effects against influenzavirus by raised expression of IFITM3.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the biocompatibility and degradation rate of crosslinking sodium hyaluronate gel with different ratio of molecular weight, so as to choose the effective, safe and totally degraded hyaluronate gel for aesthetic injection.

METHODS(1) Compound colloid was formed by cross-linking the divinyl sulphone and sodium hyaluronate with different molecular weight (4 x 10(5), 8 x 10(5), 10 x 10(5), 12 x 10(5)). (2) Healthy level KM mice was randomly divided into two groups to receive hyaluronic acid gel or liquid injection. Each group was subdivided into three subgroup to receive hyaluronic acid with different molecular weight. The biocompatibility and degradation rate, of hyaluronate were observed at 7, 90, 180 days after injection. At the same time, different molecular weight of sodium hyaluronate gel is sealed or exposed respectively under the low temperature preservation to observe its natural degradation rate. (3) The most stable colloid was selected as aesthetic injector for volunteers to observe the aesthetic effect.

RESULTSThe sodium hyaluronate gel with molecular of 4 x 10(5) was completely degraded 90 days later. The sodium hyaluronate gel with molecular of 8 x 10(5) was completely degraded 180 days later. The sodium hyaluronate gel with molecular of 10 x 10(5) was degraded to 90.0% after 180 days. The sodium hyaluronate liquid can be degraded completely within 7 days. The colloid could be kept for at least 12 months when sealed under low temperature, but was totally degraded when exposed for I d. Sodium hyaluronate gel with molecular 10 x 10(5) was confirmed to be kept for at least 6 months in animal experiment and clinical trials.

CONCLUSIONSUnder the same condition of material ratio, the higher the molecular weight is, the lower the degradation rate is. But the liquidity of gel is not good for injection when molecular weight is too large. It suggests that Sodium hyaluronate gel with molecular 10 x 10(5) maybe the best choice in cosmetic injections.

Objective To compare diagnosis value and the clinical application of enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method and the immune turbidimetric method detecting serum anti cyclic citrullinated peptide (CCP)antibody in patients with RA.Methods Collected fresh serum specimen of 267 inpatients with RA in Rrheumatism Department of Xi’an Institu-te of Rheumatism from December 2014 to February 2015,and fresh serum specimen of 50 healthy blood donors from the Blood Center of Shaanxi Province respectively.Anti CCP antibody was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)method and the latex immunoturbidimetry assay.Evaluated the correlation of the results and clinical application to RA diagnosis.Results Sensitivity,specificity and diagnostic consistency of ELISA and latex immunoturbidimetry assay were 77.3%,86.8%,94.3% and 76.2%,80.2%,77.9% respectively.Compared two kinds of methods,the value of Kappa was 0.756,for having consistency.Throughχ2 test (χ2 =1.85,P >0.05),there was no significant difference between two meth-ods.Area of ELISA and lateximmunoturbidimetry under the ROC curve were 0.876 and 0.832 respectively.Conclusion De-tection of serum anti CCP antibody has diagnostic value in RA patients.The ELISA method and the latex immunoturbidime-try assay for detection of anti CCP antibodies had consistency.Two methods had no statistical difference,and the latex turbi-dimetric method is suitable for grassroots medical institutions.

Objective To explore the effect of extracurricular activities based on specialist nursing clinic. Methods Thirty-four undergraduate nursing students of grade 2013 in the Capital Medical University were enrolled in the study. After learning of nursing theories for senile dementia, the extracurricular activities based onspecialist nursing clinicwere carried out. Before and after the second class activities, the caring ability inventory scale and self scale-rating for self-directed learning (SRSSDL) were used to assess 34 students. Result After the activities, students' caring ability and self-directed learning ability were statistically significantly improved (P<0.01). Conclusion The extracurricular activities based onspecialist nursing cliniccan stimulate the learning interest of nursing students and improve their self-directed learning ability and humanistic care ability.
