Objective To evaluate the levels of the Chinese literature published by the schistosomiasis control institutions of 17 municipal cities of Hubei Province. Methods The related literature published from 2008 to 2012 was searched from the da-tabases of CNKI VIP and Wanfang and then screened by the exclusion criteria. NoteExpress and Excellsoftwares were applied to collect the literature and carry out the bibliometric analysis. Results A total of 168 papers were included and the schistosomia-sis control institutes of Jingzhou City and Wuhan City had the highest amount. The literature was mainly published in Chinese Journal of Schistosomiasis Control and Journal of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. The comprehensive influence index-es of the schistosomiasis control institutes of Jingzhou Wuhan and Qianjiang cities were higher. The schistosomiasis control in-stitutes of Jingzhou City had an extensive content of literature while Wuhan was mainly focused on epidemiology case report and Oncomelania hupensis snail control. Conclusion The research of schistosomiasis in each municipal city has an extensive con-tent and the research capacity of the schistosomiasis control institute of Jingzhou City is relatively outstanding.

BACKGROUND: Adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADMSCs) can improve the liver function of rats with liver failure, which illustrates the important research value in the field of tissue engineering and cell transplantation.OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the therapeutic potential of human ADMSCs in heart failure rats and to discuss the possible biological mechanisms involved.METHODS: Heart failure rats were randomized into model and ADMSCs groups, which were given normal saline or DAPI-labeled human ADMSCs (3.0×106) via the tail vein. At 1, 3, 7 days after transplantation, we detected the biochemical indexes for liver function in rats. At 3 days after transplantation, the serum levels of cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor α and interleukin-10, were detected, the histomorphological changes in the liver were observed by hematoxylin-eosin staining, and the protein expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen was detected by western blot. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: We found that human ADMSCs could migrate to the liver and lung tissues in rats after the transplantation via the tail vein. At 1 and 3 days after transplantation, the levels of serum alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase were significantly reduced in the ADMSCs group as compared with the model group (P< 0.05); furthermore, the secretion of tumor necrosis factor α and interleukin-10 was significantly suppressed at 3 days after cell transplantation (P < 0.05). The results of hematoxylin-eosin staining indicated a significant improvement in liver degeneration and necrosis. The expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen protein in the ADMSCs group was significantly up-regulated compared with the model group. To conclude, human ADMSCs can inhibit the inflammatory reaction and up-regulate the expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen, to promote the regeneration of liver cells and he recovery of liver function.

Objective To explore statin dosages for targeting goal of LDL-C lowering on the basis of stroke risk stratification and the dosage-effective relation of statin and LDL-C lowering in Chinese patients with ischemic stroke and transient ischemic attack (TIA).Methods This is a prospective and open clinical trial patients with ischemic stroke/TIA within 6 months were enrolled and the dosages of atorvastatin were calculated based on risk stratification according to "Chinese Consensus for Prevention of Ischemic Stroke/TIA with Statin" (Chinese Consensus).A dose of 10 mg of atorvastatin daily to target LDL-C goal was takenas the standard dosage targeting goal (SDTG).Patients taking this dosage of atorvastatin constituted a SDTG group. Those who needed a daily dose of 20 mg or more of atorvastatin were randomized into an intensive dosage targeting goal (IDTG) group ( atorvastatin 20-80 mg/d) and a standard dosage non-targeting goal (SDNTG) group (atorvastatin 10 mg/d without targeting goal). All patients took atorvastatin for 12 weeks. The primary outcome was the rate of targeting goal for LDL-C lowering at 2,4 and 12 weeks, respectively and the secondary outcome was the occurence of recurrent stroke and other vascular events within 12 weeks. The main safety endpoint was serial adverse events including symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage. Results Altogether 102 cases were enrolled and 99 cases were followed up for 12 weeks.According to the Chinese Consensus, the rate of high risk, very high risk- Ⅰ and very high risk- Ⅱ was 44% ,28% and 28%,respectively.Targeting rate for LDL-C lowering was 77% -85% at each time point in the SDTG and IDTG groups ,being significantly higher than those in the SDNTG group ( 12% -16%,P < 0.01 ).No significant difference was found concerning the occurrence of recurrent stroke, other vascular events and safety endpoints among the three groups. The amplitude of LDL-C lowering was 32%-35% ,46%-49% ,51%-52% and 60%-65% with corresponding to daily dosage of 10 mg,20 mg,d0 mg and 80 mg atorvastatin. Conclusions At least more than half of the patients after iscbemic stroke/TIA need intensive statin therapy to target the LDL-C lowering goal. The dosage- effective relation of atorvastatin and LDL-C lowering in Chinese is similar to the reported data in other races.

Objective:To investigate the etiology, clinical manifestations, clinicopathological features of cystic neutrophil granulomatous mastitis (CNGM).Methods:From Jan 2019 to Dec 2020, 95 CNGM cases diagnosed by biopsy pathology at Chongqing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Chongqing Liangping District Hospitol of Traditional Chinese Medicine were reviewed. Results:There were 95 female patients, aged 21 to 50 years, with a median age of 32 years. Laboratory examination showed that 56% (53/95) cases had elevated rheumatoid antibody level, 27 % (26/95) had increased level of serum thyroid antibody, 15% (14/95) had elevated antineutrophil antibody, 35% (33/95) had increased ESR, 38% (36/95) had increased C-reactive protein. The positive rate of Gram-stained bacilli was 82% (78/95). Histology: pyogenic granuloma with lobule of breast as the center, the center of granuloma was cystic vacuole.Immunohistochemistry showed that the inflammatory cells in and around granuloma were mainly CD3 + cells, and CD4 + cells were more than CD8 + cells. Conclusions:The cystic neutrophilie granulo matous mastitis is a rare type of idiopathic granulomatous mastitis. The diagnosis of CNGM is dependent on its specific pathological features.

Urosepsis caused by upper urinary tract stone obstruction is a common critically disease in urology. However, it rarely occurs in the patient who underwent a dialysis with uremia. We report a patient who underwent an implantation of ureteral stent to control the infection, and we saved the patient with perinephric hematoma following the surgery. We removed the stones in the left ureteral through a flexible ureteroscope two month later. The hematoma was completely absorbed 6 months after the implantation of ureteral stent.
