The status of marine bioresources and the marine eco-environment issues were summarized and discussed, and the strategies for the development of Chinese marine bioresources in the future were proposed. The degradation of marine eco-environment and unreasonable exploitation of the resources resulted in acute decline of Chinese marine bioresources. The feasible stratagies for the sustainable use of marine bioresources should be to intensify the basic research on marine bioresources science, to strengthen the protection of the marine environment and conservation of marine living resources, and to exploit and utilize marine bioresources scientifically and reasonably by using high-technology including marine biotechnology.

Objective To examine the independent effect of depression on activities of daily living of patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Methods Data were obtained through the face-to-face interview. Totally 154 elderly patients that were screened from 552 old people by the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) were diagnosed as MCI. They were investigated with the Geriatric Depression Scale, and instrumental ability of daily living (IADL) were measured by the Functional Activities Questionnaire. The effect of depression on IADL of patients with MCI was analyzed by logistic regression analysis. Results The prevalence of depressive symptoms among Chinese elders with MCI was 31.82％. The scores of Medical Outcomes Study Social Support Survey, and Functional Activity Questionnaire of depression group and non-depression group were significantly different (P<0.05) . Logistic regression analysis showed that scores of Functional Activity Questionnaire was positively associated with the scores of Memory Inventory for the Chinese (OR=1.36, 95％ CI: 1.15-1.61) and depression (OR=6.19, 95％ CI:2.07-18.55) . Conclusion The prevalence of depression in elderly patients with MCI was high. Depression would significantly reduce the IADL of the old patients with MCI. Medical workers should be aware of the extent and impact of depressive symptoms in MCI and take active measures in evaluating and treating the depressive symptoms.

OBJECTIVETo further select the items based on the pre-test version of quality of life scale in patients with viral myocarditis.

METHODSTotally 100 patients with viral myocarditis were enrolled in this study. Methodologies including frequency distribution, discrete trend, t-test, Cronbach's α coefficient, correlation coefficient and factor analysis were applied to select items from different perspectives.

RESULTSA total of 17 items were selected by frequency distribution method from the perspective of central tendency, 15 items were selected by discrete trend method from the perspective of sensitivity, 16 items were selected by t-test method from the perspective of sensitivity and discrimination, 16 items were selected by Cronbach's α coefficient method from the perspective of internal consistency, 12 items were selected by correlation coefficient method from the perspective of representation and independence, and 18 items were selected by factor analysis method from the perspective of representation.

CONCLUSIONItem selection of quality of life scale in patients with viral myocarditis was successfully conducted based on the clinical epidemiological data using a variety of statistical methods.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effects of chronic stress on the spatial learning-memory and the role of glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) of prefrontal cortex (PFC) and hippocampus (HP) in different age mice.

METHODSThe chronic stress model mice in 21 days with multiple chronic unpredictable stressors were applied. The spontaneous behavior and spatial learning-memory ability of mice were tested, using Open field and Morris water maze task, and the expression of GDNF in HP and PFC were detected by immunohistochemical method.

RESULTSCompared with young mice, the spontaneous behaviors were significantly decreased and the spatial learning-memory function were significantly decreased (P < 0.05, P < 0.01) in aged mice. The GDNF expression in the CA3, DG of HP and PFC were significantly reduced in aged mice (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). After chronic stress, the spontaneous behaviors were remarkably decreased and the ability of spatial learning-memory of the stress group mice were significantly decreased (P < 0.05, P < 0.01) compared with those of the control group mice. The expression of GDNF in HP and PFC were remarkably reduced (P < 0.05, P < 0.01) in stress group mice. The aged stress mice had more serious changes after chronic stress.

CONCLUSIONThe brain aging and chronic stress in mice causes behavioral changes and the damage of spatial learning-memory function, and which may be nearly related to the expression of GDNF in HP and PFC.

To study the protective effect of astragalus saponin extracts (AS) on kidneys of diabetic rats. Totally 32 diabetic rats induced by streptozotocin (STZ) were divided into AS high and low dose groups, the positive control group and the model group (DM group) and orally administered with 50 mg x- kg(-1) x d(-1) AS 200, 25 mg x kg(-1) x d(-1) valsartan, 10 mL x kg(-1) x d(1) physiological saline, respectively. Another 8 healthy rats were collected in the normal control group (NC group, physiological saline 10 mL x kg(-1). d(-1)). All rats were treated for consecutively 6 weeks. After the administration, the body weight was measured every week, the concentration of blood glucose was monitored on week 2, 4 and 6. The total urine and total urinary protein (U-TP) in 24 h were measured by the metabolic cage method on week 6; At the end of week 6, blood samples were collected from hearts to detect blood urea nitrogen (BUN), serum creatinine (Scr), uric acid (UA) , total cholesterol (CH) triglyceride (TG) by biochemical methods. Kidneys were collect to calculate the kidney hypertrophy index and observe the pathological sections. The laboratory results show that in the DM group, the blood glucose, metabolic cost in 24 h, kidney hypertrophy index, U-TP, BUN, Scr, UA, TG were significantly higher than that in the NC group (P < 0.01, P < 0.05) , with significant pathological changes; After the intervention with AS, the metabolic value in 24 h, kidney hypertrophy index, U-TP, BUN, Scr, UA, TG were significantly lower in the high dose group (P < 0.01, P < 0.05), and the kidney hypertrophy index, BUN, Scr, UA, TG in the low dose group were also significantly lower (P < 0.05), with slight reduction in renal pathological changes in both groups. In conclusion, Astragalus saponin extracts have a certain protective effect on kidneys of diabetic rats.

Objective To investigate the effect of Danhong injection combined with rehabilitation exercise on patients with acute cerebral infarction and its influence on the motor function of the patients. Methods 80 patients with acute cerebral infarction admitted to Jiaxing Hospital from January 2017 to July 2017 were randomly divided into two groups (n=40), the two groups were given rehabilitation exercises, the control group was given conventional treatment, and the observation group was treated with Danhong injection on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, motor function score before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results The total efficiency of the observation group was 92.50%, significantly higher than 80.00% in the control group (P<0.05). The FMA score and MBI score of the two groups after treatment were significantly improved (P<0.05), and the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). There were no serious adverse reactions such as liver and kidney dysfunction in the two groups during the treatment. Conclusion Rehabilitation exercise combined with Danhong injection is effective in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction, and can significantly improve the motor function of patients.

OBJECTIVETo study the chemical constituents from Cibotium batometz.

METHODColumn chromatograph and HPLC were used to isolate and purify the compound, and the structure was elucidated on the basis of MS and NMR spectroscopic methods.

RESULTA new phenolic compound, 4-O-caffeoyl-D-glucopyranose, has been isolated from the rhizome of C. barometz. The structure of the new compound was elucidated on the basis of chemical and spectroscopic methods, including intensive 1D, 2D NMR and ESI-MS data analysis.

CONCLUSION4-O-caffeoyl-D-glucopyranose was a new phenolic compound.

OBJECTIVETo determine the optimum treatment for viral myocarditis (VMC).

METHODSA total of 126 VMC patients were randomly divided into the control group (42 cases) that was treated with conventional Western medicine, and the intervention group (84 cases) that was treated with a combination of Chinese medicine (CM) and Western medicine intervention termed optimum proposal of integration of disease and syndrome (OPIDS). Before and after 4 weeks of treatment, the integral of CM syndrome, self-rating depression and anxiety scales (SDS and SAS, respectively), echocardiograms (ECGs), heart rate variability and left ventricular systolic function were observed.

RESULTSCompared with the control group, the intervention group showed significant reductions on the SDS and SAS (P <0.05); improvement of premature ventricular beats, atrioventricular blocks, ST-segment abnormalities, and significant T wave changes (P <0.05); greater reductions in standard deviation of NN intervals (SDNN), standard deviation for per 5 min averages NN intervals (SDANN), and root-mean-square of successive difference of NN intervals (rMSSD) (P <0.05); and increases in cardiac output, stroke volume, and ejection fraction, the last of which was statistically significant (P <0.05). Overall, the treatment efficacy rate was significantly better P<0.05) in the intervention group (75.61%) compared with the control group (69.70%).

CONCLUSIONOPIDS is quite effective in treating VMC and improves symptoms such as anxiety and depression, left ventricular systolic dysfunction, premature ventricular contraction, and cardiac autonomic nervous system dysfunction. [

Objective To investigate the expression of microRNA-15b (miR-15b) in endometrial carcinoma and its effect on proliferation of endometrial carcinoma cells.Methods Eighty-seven cases of endometrial cancer tissues were selected as the research objects from patients with endometrial cancer undergoing endometrial cancer staging surgery in Xinxiang Central Hospital from February 2013 to February 2017.Another 45 cases of normal endometrial tissues from patients with uterine fibroids undergoing line hysterectomy were collected as the control.The expressions of miR-15b in endometrial carcinoma tissues and normal endometrial tissues were detected by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(PCR) and relationship between the miR-15b expression and clinicopathological feature was analyzed.The HEC-1A cells were cultured and were randomly divided into miR-15b mimics group,control sequence group and blank control group.The expression of miR-15b in HEC-1A cells was detected by real-time quantitative PCR.Tetramethylazolazole blue (MTT) assay was used to detect the cell proliferation.Flow cytometry was used to detect the apoptotic rate and cell cycle.Results The relative expression levels of miR-15b in endometrial carcinoma tissues and normal endometrial tissues were 1.32 ±0.13 and 2.49 ±0.16,respectively.The relative expression level of miR-15b in endometrial carcinoma tissues was lower than that in the normal endometrial tissues (t =46.184,P ＜0.05).The relative expression level of miR-15b in endometrial carcinoma was correlated with International federation of gynecology and obstetrics staging,myometrial invasion and lymph node metastasis (P ＜ 0.05),but it was not correlated with age,histological type,differentiated degree,in filtrating lymph vessel and blood vessel or not.Compared with the blank control group and the control sequence group,the relative expression level of miR-15b in miR-15b mimics group was significantly increased (P ＜ 0.05),the cell proliferation abilities at cultured 24,48,72 and 96 h were decreased (P ＜ 0.05),while the apoptosis rate increased (P ＜0.05),the proportion of G0 + G1 phase was significantly increased,while the proportion of G2 + M phase was decreased (P ＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the relative expression level of miR-156,the cell proliferation ability at cultured 12,24,48,72,96 h,the apoptosis rate,the proportion of G0 + G1,S and G2 + M phase between the blank control group and the control sequence group(P ＜0.05).Conelusion miR-15b is low expression in endometrial carcinoma tissue.Up-regulation of miR-15b expression in endometrial carcinoma cells can inhibit cell proliferation,it may be related to block cell cycle to promote cell apoptosis.
