Chinese Journal of Virology 2014;30(2):188-192
Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) is a pathogenic mosquito-borne flavivirus which is responsible for outbreaks of severe viral encephalitis. The cellular entry of JEV is a prerequisite for Japanese encephalitis, so the understanding of its underlying mechanisms will provide more approaches for treating such disease. In recent years, increasing research has been conducted to investigate the mechanisms of cellular entry of JEV, and the results of research on other flavivirus have expanded the research directions for JEV. More methods will be used to suppress JEV infection because of the development of E protein antibodies and the discovery of several inhibitors of the cellular entry process. This review will summarize the recent advances in the mechanisms of JEV cellular entry and membrane fusion.

Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2016;36(1):49-53
OBJECTIVETo observe the effect of Tai Ji Quan (TJQ) training on strength and function of lower limbs in the aged.
METHODSSixty senile subjects were recruited and assigned to the TJQ group and the control group (imparting health knowledge)by random digit table. Patients in the TJQ group received 24-style TJQ training for 18 months (60 min each time, 5 times per week), while those in the control group were imparted with sarcopenia related causes, pathogeneses, prevention and control measures. The maximum isometric strength of bilateral iliopsoas, quadriceps femoris, tibialis anterior muscle, hamstrings; the time for 5 sitting-up tests and Time Up and Go Test (TUGT), one-leg standing time with closed eyes test; and the score of Berg balance scale were compared between the two groups.
RESULTSCompared with before treatment, muscle strength increased in the TJQ group with an average increased capacity (rate) as follows, bilateral iliopsoas 5.5 kg (16.9%), quadriceps femoris 5.5 kg (26.2%), and tibialis anterior muscle 8.5 kg (36.2%) (all P < 0.05). The time for TUGT and 5 sitting-up tests was shortened by 1.3 s (16.7%) and 0.9 s (14.5%) respectively in the TJQ group. The time for one-leg standing time with closed eyes test was increased by 8.4 s (left) and 9.1 s (right) respectively. The score of Berg balance scale increased by 4.3% (P < 0.05). Compared with the control group, bilateral quadriceps femoris and tibialis anterior muscle strength increased significantly (P < 0.01); the time for TUGT and 5 sitting-up tests, the time for one-leg standing time with closed eyes test, scores of Berg balance scale were all improved in the TJQ group after intervention (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONTJQ training could improve strength of iliopsoas, quadriceps femoris, tibialis anterior muscle in the aged, elevate their balance and locomotor activities, and possibly prevent and treat sarcopenia.

Objective To explore the changes of Clara cell secretory protein(CCSP) in asthmatic children and the effects of inhaling glucocorticoid (ICS) on CCSP.Methods Sixty children with asthma were selected as asthma group(in which 39 cases were male and 21 cases were female, aged 3-12 years old) and 30 healthy children were selected as healthy control group(in which 20 cases were male and 10 cases were female, aged 3-12 years old).Venous blood samples were collected in asthma group and healthy control group in morning before breakfast, and then sera were obtained by centrifuge in speed of 1 500 r?min-1 in 10 min.The dynamic levels of CCSP were measured in sera by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results 1.In asthmatic children, the CCSP levels in acute episode,3 months after ICS,6 months after ICS, and 12 months after ICS[(5.140?2.331)?g?L-1,(8.730?3.392)?g?L-1,(10.510?2.813)?g?L-1]were all lower than that in healthy control group[(13.230?4.010)?g?L-1](Pa0.05).2.Compared with acute episode, the patients who ICS for 3 months,6 months and 12 months had significantly higher levels of CCSP (Pa0.05).Conclusions CCSP may play a protective role in the airway inflammation of asthma.Glucocorticoid may increase CCSP level in asthmatic children.Glucocorticoid and CCSP may cooperate in anti-inflammation in airway of asthmatic children.
4. Preparation of Lappaconitine-Loaded Microemulsion with Olive Oil and Research on Its Properties
Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal 2019;54(19):1582-1589
OBJECTIVE: To prepare lappaconitine(LA)-loaded microemulsion with olive oil and study its morphology, particle size, drug loading capacity, drug release behavior and rheological characteristics. METHODS: Pseudo-ternary phase diagram method was used to screen and prepare LA-loaded microemulsion with olive oil. LA release properties in vitro were investigated by dynamic dialysis method. The rheological properties of LA-loaded microemulsion with olive oil were studied using MCR 301 rheometer. RESULTS: The optimal formulation of LA-loaded microemulsion with olive oil was as follows:olive oil was the oil phase, castor oil polyoxyethylene ether-40/span-80(4:1) was the surfactant, glycerin was the cosurfactant, and Km=3. The morphology of the microemulsion particles was round or oval, and the average particle size was(91±0.55) nm. The drug-loading rate of LA in the microemulsion was 1.85%.Drug release experiments in vitro showed that the microemulsion had a sustained release effect on LA, and the drug release behavior was more suitable to be described by Higuchi equation. Rheological experiments showed that the fluid of LA-loaded microemulsion with olive oil belong to pseudoplastic fluid of non-Newtonian fluid exhibiting thixotropic and shear-thinning fluid behavior as well as certain viscoelasticity. CONCLUSION: The LA-loaded microemulsion witholive oil are successfully prepared, and the microemulsion has ideal sustained release behavior and good rheological properties. The study provides a foundation for the developmenton preparation of LA-loaded microemulsion with olive oil.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2002;8(7):394-395
ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical features, mechanism and cerebral functional correlation of hemianopic anosognosia.Methods16 patients with homonymous visual field defects due to ischemic infarcts were examined on visual field and MMSE. The neuropsychological tests were administered such as hemianopic awareness and visual neglect. The facts were analyzed with the location of ischemic infarct documented by MRI or CT. Results10 of 16 patients with hemianopia had anosognosia of their visual deficit. 8 of 13 right side lesion patients had hemianopic anosognosia. 2 of 3 left side lesion patients had hemianopia anosognosia. 3 of 6 awareness hemianopia patients had visual hemineglect. 7 of 10 hemianopic anosognosia patients had larger infarction of middle cerebral artery. 3 else had smaller infarction in the occipital lobe or in the connective area between the occipital and temporal lobes.ConclusionsThere is no specific cortical area for conscious visual perception. Visual awareness is processed by a distributed network including multiple cortices and subcortices. Both hemispheres are involved in visual processing and conscious awareness.
