The selection of the prosthetic material determine the success or failure of hip arthroplasty. Currently, the metals, ceramics, polymer composites and carbon materials are the main prosthetic materials of artificial hip joint. They have some progresses in biocompatibility, elastic modulus,mechanical properties, useful life, but they still can't reach the ideal standard of design. In this essay, we mainly review the characteristics and applications of the current artificial hip joint materials through its classification in order to provide a reference for choosing appropriate hip joint materials in clinic and increasing characteristic of materials. We consider the polymer composites has more advantages such as biocompatibility, mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and price, even if it has shortages in abrasion resistance. As the researches of polymer composites are main focus on abrasion resistance, articular surface and strength,and its performances are increased fast, it has a wide prospect in future.

Objective To understand the status and drug resistant patterns of strains of extended spectrum ?-lactamase(ESBLs) in children with lower respiratory tract infection,and to give clinical suggestions for rational treatment.Methods Escherichia coli and klebsiella pneumoniae were isolated from the 2 969 nasopharyngeal secretions which collected from lower respiratory tract of children in our hospital from Jan.2006 to Dec. 2007.Dual-sheets and sheets-diffusing method (K-B method) were used to determine the ESBLs and antibiotic susceptibility was tested by K-B method which included 18 kinds of antibiotics,the results were marked by resistant,intermedial and sensitive.Chi-square test was used to analyze the data.Results Total 135 strains were detected,73 strains were escherichia coli,of which 54 strains(74.0%)produced ESBLs,62 strains were klebsiella pneumoniae,of which 33 strains(53.2%)produced ESBLs.The 2 bacterias were found more in children with 1-6 months old than those in other age groups,the ratio of which were 50 strains and 41 strains,respectively (Pa0.05).The resistant rate of ESBLs-producing strains to penicillins,cephalosporins,quinolones,aminoglycosides and sulfamido was higher than that of non ESBLs-producing strains respectively.And the resistant rates to beta-lactam antibiotics of ESBLs strains were located on a high level.Whether producing ESBLs or not,the 2 bacterias were still sensitive to amikacin,cefoxitin,cefoperazone/sulbactam and imipenem.Conclusions The prevalences of ESBLs-producing escherichia and klebsiella pneumonia were high.There was a multi-drug resistance to the varied antibiotics.It is very important to make sputum culture and use sensitive antibiotics in treatment according to drug sensitivity test to control the occurrence and conveying of the ESBLs.

Objective To summary the experience of management for orthotopic homologous heart transplantation,heart-lung co-transplantation and to discuss the postoperative treatment of short-term complications.Methods Orthotopic homologous heart transplantation and heart-lung co- transplantation on 9 cases were performed from May 2004 to February 2006.The patients were traced closely and all complications were treated in time.Results During hospital stay,hypertension oc- curred in one case,right heart insufficiency in one case,infection of mycetes and cytomegalovirus in 2 cases after the heart transplantation,and in the patient undergoing heart-lung co-transplantation,renal inadequacy,bronchial anastomosis stenosis and fungus infection occurred.All patients obtained symp- tomatic relief before discharge.Conclusion Proper perioperative management,immunosuppressive therapy and management of postoperative complications could reduce mortality and obtain satisfactory therapeutic effect in the near future.

?AIM:To evaluate the clinical outcomes of Nd:YAG laser capsulotomy in the treatment of early stage capsular block syndrome ( CBS) .?METHODS:Eighteen patients (21 eyes) with early stage capsular block syndrome were treated using Nd:YAG laser by anterior capsulotomy only or combined with posterior capsulotomy from January 2010 to July 2015 in Anyang Eye Hospital. Uncorrected distance visual acuity, intraocular pressure, spherical equivalent, depth of anterior chamber were observed preoperatively and 2wk postoperatively.?RESULTS:Seventeen eyes simply underwent peripheral anterior capsulotomy with Nd:YAG laser. Four eyes were combined with posterior capsulotomy. Compared with preoperative, uncorrected distance visual acuity improved, intraocular pressure returned to normal, degree of myopia reduced, depth of anterior chamber had deepened.? CONCLUSION: Nd: YAG laser capsulotomy is an effective treatment for early stage capsular block syndrome.

OBJECTIVE: To study ApoB gene genetic polymorphism of Han nationality and Mongolian nationality in midwest area of Inner Mongolia. METHODS: Some unrelated individuals of Han nationality and Mongolian nationality in midwest area of Inner Mongolia were selected. Polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism technology was used to check the presence of Xba I (X+) and EcoR I (E-) sites of rare alleles. The genotype frequency, allelic frequency and population genetics parameters were calculated. RESULTS: The frequencies of Xba I (X+) and EcoR I (E-) rare alleles were 2% and 4.6% in Han population. There was no Xba I (X+) or EcoR I (E-) rare alleles found in Mongolian nationality. CONCLUSION The allelic frequencies of ApoB gene Xba I and EcoR I sites are very different in different races. These sites may be used in identification of ethnicity.

Objective To analyze the examination results of external quality assessment (EQA),at all levels of iodine deficiency disorders (IDD) network laboratories in Ningxia Province and to further standardize and improve the laboratory,and to provide a reliable laboratory quality assurance for surveillance and control of IDD.Methods The examination results of EQA at all levels of IDD laboratories in Ningxia Province were statistically analyzed in accordance with the National Reference Laboratory (NRL) of IDD (2002-2011).Results Laboratory hardware equipment and technology at all levels met the testing requirements,and qualified rate of quality control increased year by year.Both of the response rate and qualification rate of urine iodine laboratories at provincial level were 100％ in the past decade.From 2005 on,the response rate of city laboratories had been 100％,and the qualification rate had been 100％ since 2007.The response rate and qualification rate of salt iodine laboratories at both the provincial level and the city level were 100％ in the past decade.The response rate of salt iodine laboratories at county level had been 100％ since 2004,and the qualification rate had been 100％ since 2009.Salt iodine and urinary iodine levels were fully qualified for the past three years at provincial,municipal and county levels.Conclusions All levels of IDD network laboratory in Ningxia Province runs good,EQA is fully qualified,and is able to provide a reliable laboratory quality assurance for surveillance and control of IDD.

The marine biological source of mineral drugs recorded in Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2010 version) mainly including pearl, nacre, clam shell, common oyster shell, ark shell, cuttle bone, and sea-ear shell are widely used in clinical. Calcium carbonate and a small amount of protein are the main components in this type of drugs. In this paper, a systematical and comparable study were carried out by determination of calcium carbonate by EDTA titration method, the crystal of calcium carbonate by X-Ray powder diffraction and the total amino acids (TAAs) of the hydrolyzed samples by ultraviolet spectrophotometry method. As a result, the crystal structure is calcite for common oyster shell, mixture of calcite and aragonite for nacre and sea-ear shell, aragonite for the other drugs. The content of calcium carbonate ranged from 86% to 96%. Cuttle bone has the highest amount of TAAs among the seven drugs which reached 1.7% while clam shell has the lowest content of 0.16% on average. In conclusion, an effective method was developed for the quality control of marine mineral drugs by comprehensive analysis of calcium carbonate and TAAs in the seven marine mineral drugs.

Retrospective analysis was performed for the clinical data of 15 chronic insertion achilles tendinitis patients undergoing platelet-rich plasma (PRP) trigger point injection.The scores of Validated Victorian Institute of Sports Assessment-Achilles (VAS-A) and foot function index (FFI) improved greatly versus pre-treatment (all P ＜ 0.05).Tendon insertion structure inflammation decreased significantly on magnetic resonance imaging.At the last follow-up,all patients recovered normal gait and daily activity.The trigger point injection of PRP is efficacious for chronic insertion achilles tendinopathy.

Objective To observe the influence of longmuzhuanggu powder(LMZGP)on gastroenteric movement and plasm motilin(MTL)in rats.Methods Rats were randomly divided into control group,model group,LMZGP large dose group,LMZGP middle dose group,and LMZGP low dose group.To establish the model of disorder of gastric depletion and small intestinal advancement by using maxolon,atropine,neostigmine and adrenaline.Gastric emptying and intestinal progradating rates in mice were tested with black nutritious semi solid cataplasm.Level of MTL in hemtatoplasma was tested by radio immunoassay.Results Maxolon accelerated gastric depletion and neostigmine accelerated intestine propagation and heightened the level of MTL in hematoplasma(P_a
