0.37).Meanwhile a good correlation (Y=0.99X-0.18,r=0.987) was obtained. Though Westergren method correlated preferably with MICROTEST 1 (Y=0.86X+1.27,r=0.906),there was a markedly different (t=3.174,P=0.001).At last different references values were collected, according to sex and age.Male,32.5 mm/1 h(60 years old);Female, 34.03 mm/1 h(50 years old). Conclusions MICROTEST 1 correlated preferably with Westergren method. The examination by MICROTEST 1 needs small quantity of sample and fewer time.Furthermore,it has good repeatability and stability. The factors such as temperature and Hct have little influence on the results. The result suggested that it is suitable to apply MICROTEST 1 to large- scale clinical laboratory or other labs. But the reference value of ESR was influenced by age, which should be considered in clinical usage.

Journal of Neurogastroenterology and Motility 2019;25(4):515-520
BACKGROUND/AIMS: Recently, esophageal mean nocturnal baseline impedance (MNBI) and post-reflux swallow-induced peristaltic wave (PSPW) index have been proposed, which can increase the diagnostic role of multichannel intraluminal impedance and pH recording (MII/pH) for differentiating patients with heartburn. Therefore, our aim is to investigate the role of esophageal proximal MNBI, distal MNBI, and PSPW index in differentiating Chinese patients with heartburn. METHODS: Patients with heartburn from the Beijing Anzhen Hospital, who underwent upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and 24-hour MII/pH, were enrolled in this study. RESULTS: In all, 24 erosive esophagitis (EE), 46 non-erosive reflux disease (NERD), 52 reflux hypersensitivity (RH), and 78 functional heartburn (FH) patients were recruited. The respective median values for the EE, NERD, RH, and FH groups were as follows: proximal MNBI 1858.0, 2147.5, 2374.3, and 2329.0 Ω (P = 0.053); distal MNBI 1243.4, 1506.5, 2451.2, and 2477.3 Ω (P < 0.001); and PSPWI 15.0%, 25.0%, 25.0%, and 45.0% (P < 0.001). Spearman correlation analysis showed that distal MNBI and PSPW index were significantly negatively correlated with acid and bolus exposure time and acid reflux events. Receiver operating characteristic analyses showed that distal MNBI and PSPW index significantly discriminated FH from EE, NERD, and RH (P < 0.001), with cut-off values of 1890.6 Ω and 27.5% and areas under the curve of 0.721 and 0.779, respectively. CONCLUSION: Esophageal distal MNBI and PSPW index could increase the diagnostic role of MII/pH, especially for differentiating Chinese patients with heartburn.

As a member of G protein coupled-receptors superfamily, free fatty acid receptor 1 (FFAR1), is also known as GPR40, has been shown to regulate numerous pathophysiological processes in a variety of tissues and organs. The activated FFAR1 has a variety of biological functions. For instance, it can not only regulate metabolism of fatty acids and glucose, but also play an important role in immune inflammatory response, it may be a potential drug target for the treatment of various chronic inflammatory diseases. In this review, we focus on the recent researches of FFAR1's action in the regulation of pathophysiological processes, its molecular mechanism and new agonists development. At the same time, this review will take the discovery of series FFAR1 agonists as examples, and display the applied prospects of FFAR1.

Objective To investigate the relationship between CYP19 gene polymorphism and Alzheimer disease. Methods Polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) was used to analyze the allele frequency distribution at the Mfe Ⅰ site of CYP19 gene in 102 patients with Alzheimer disease and 121 healthy control subjects. Results The frequencies of CYP19 ml and m2 alleles showed significant differences between the patient group and the control group (66.2% vs 81.0% and 33.8% vs 19.0%, respectively, X2=12.696, P<0.05). In patients with Alzheimer disease, the frequencies ofm1/m1, m1/m2, m2/m2 genotypes of CYP19 gene were 44.1%, 44.1%, and 11.8%, respectively, showing significant differences from the frequencies in the control subjects (65.3%, 31.4%, and 3.3%, respectively, X2=12.384, P<0.05). Conclusion CYP19 gene polymorphism at the Mfe Ⅰ site is associated with the genetic susceptibility to Alzheimer disease.

Acta Physiologica Sinica 2004;56(1):47-53
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of nitric oxide (NO) in the rostral ventrolateral medulla (RVLM) on the central integration of the cardiac sympathetic afferent reflex (CSAR) in normal rats and in rats with coronary ligation-induced chronic heart failure (CHF). Under alpha-chloralose and urethane anesthesia, mean arterial pressure, heart rate and renal sympathetic nerve activity (RSNA) were recorded at baseline and during elicitation of the CSAR evoked by electrical stimulation of the cardiac afferent sympathetic nerves in sino-aortic denervated and cervical vagotomized rats. A cannula was inserted into the left RVLM for microinjection of NO synthase inhibitor, S-methyl-L-thiocitruline (MeTC) or NO donor, S-nitroso-N-acetyl-penicillamine (SNAP). The CSAR was tested by electrical stimulation (5, 10, 20 and 30 Hz at 10 V for 1 ms) of the afferent cardiac sympathetic nerves. It was observed that (1) the responses of RSNA to stimulation were enhanced in rats with CHF; (2) MeTC (80 nmol) potentiated the responses of RSNA to stimulation in sham rats but not in rats with CHF; (3) SNAP (50 nmol) depressed the enhanced RSNA response to stimulation in CHF rats but had no effect in sham rats; and (4) MeTC increased the baseline RSNA and MAP only in sham rats, but SNAP inhibited the baseline RSNA and MAP in both sham and CHF rats. These results indicate that reductance of NO in the RVLM is involved in the augmentation of CSAR in CHF rats.
