Objective: To establish a quantitative method for determination of protocatechuic acid in Xueniao Capsules. Methods: The capsules were extracted with alcohol acetic acid (10∶1) and then solved with absolute alcohol. The sample was applied on a silica H plate, developed and separated in the solution of chloroform acetone methanol acetic acid (7∶2∶1.5∶0.5). The separated spots were determined by TLC scanning at 530nm(? s). Results: The average recovery was 101.4%. Conclusion: This method for determination of protocatechuic acid in Xueniao Capsules was sensitive, accurate and specific. It could be used as quality control for Xueniao Capsules.

The hypo-morality,also known as sub-morality,is an imperfect morality compared with the social mainstream morality.By introducing some "hypo-morality" phenomena in the current physician-patient relationship and analyzing from the two aspects including the diversity of interests main bodies and the market operational mode of healthcare institutions,this paper assures the rationality of the existence of hypo-morality in physician-patient relationship,and attempts to provide feasible suggestions for a reasonable direction of hypo-morality in physician-patient relationship.

Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy ofacupuncture plus Tuina therapy in treating supraspinatus tendinitis.Methods:One hundred patients with supraspinatus tendinitis were randomly allocated to two groups.The treatment group of 50 cases was treated with acupuncture plus Tuina therapy and the control group of 50 cases,with simple acupuncture.Treatment was given once daily,10 times as a course.The therapeutic effects were evaluated after two courses oftreatment.Results:The total efficacy rate was 96.0%in the treatment group and 74.0%in the control group.x2 test showed that there was a statistically significant difference in the total efficacy rate between the two groups(P＜0.01).Conclusion:Acupuncture plus Tuina therapy is superior to simple acupuncture in treating supraspinatus tendinitis.

Intracanal antisepsis acts as one of the fundamental steps in root canal therapy. Intracanal medication is very common among the multitudinous root canal disinfection methods so far. However, as the most frequently-used intracanal medication, calcium hydroxide exists some problems, such as insufficient antimicrobial power and antibiogram. Thus exploring new root canal disinfectant is necessary. Herbal medicine is gaining favor for its wide varieties, broad efficacy and affordable prices. The current researches revealed that many kinds of herbs or compound herbal preparations possess good ability of antimicrobial and other properties that superior to those of traditional root canal disinfectants. However, herbal medicine itself and the studies have shortcomings. This paper will provide a review of various herbal alternatives that are being studied of late years.

Objective To investigate the relationships between fasting plasma glucose (FPG) level in early pregnancy and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).Methods Data of 11 477 pregnant women who accepted prenatal care in Beijing Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital from October 2011 to September 2012 were collected.FPG was tested during 8 to 12 weeks of pregnancy in all women and those with FPG＜7.00 mmol/L were recruited.Women accepted 75 g oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) during 24 to 28 weeks of pregnancy.The GDM diagnostic criteria was with reference to the criteria of International Association of Diabetes and Pregnancy Study Group.Mann-Whitney U test was used to analyze the difference of early pregnancy FPG between normal pregnant women and GDM women.Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to analyze the validity and applicability of using early pregnancy FPG in GDM diagnosis.Chi-square test was used to analyze the relationship between the FPG levels and GDM diagnosis.Results There were 1 535 (13.4％) women diagnosed as GDM in 24 to 28 weeks of pregnancy (the rest 9 942 normal cases were taken as the controls).The median FPG level of the GDM group was 4.89 mmol/L (4.62-5.15 mmol/L),which was higher than that of the controls [4.75 mmol/L(4.53-4.98 mmol/L)] (Z=-13.994,P=0.000).The maximum area under curve (AUC),which was used to predict GDM with early pregnancy FPG,was 0.599 (95％ CI:0.582-0.617).Taking FPG 4.88 mmol/L as the cutoff value,the sensitivity was 0.523 and the specificity was 0.645.While taking FPG 5.10 and 5.60 mmol/L as the cutoff value,the sensitivity was 0.334 and 0.068,and the specificity was 0.811 and 0.983,respectively.When the FPG level ≤ 4.09,-4.60,-5.10,-5.60,-6.10 and ≥ 6.10 mmol/L,the GDM diagnostic rate gradually increased [8.5％(23/212),9.9％(335/3 379),12.3％(719/5 858),20.7％(359/1 734),40.2％ (78/194) and 52.5％ (21/40)] (x2=300.523,P=0.000).GDM diagnostic rate in FPG ≤ 4.09,-4.60,-5.10 and-5.60 mmol/L group were lower than that in FPG ≥ 5.60 but ＜6.10 mmol/L group and ≥ 6.10 mmol/L group (x2 were 67.242,164.680,128.125,37.860,55.843,76.856,58.589 and 23.484,all P=0.000) ; GDM diagnostic rate in FPG ≤ 4.09,-4.60,-5.10 mmol/L group were lower than that in FPG ≥ 5.10 but ＜5.60 mmol/L group (x2 were 22.877,113.717 and 78.040,all P=0.000); GDM diagnostic rate in FPG ≥ 4.09 but ＜4.60 mmol/L group was lower than that in FPG ≥ 4.60 but ＜5.10 mmol/L group (x2=11.803,P=0.001).When using abnormal fasting and postprandial OGTT level as GDM diagnostic criteria,the ratio of GDM in early pregnancy FPG level ≥ 5.60 but ＜6.10 mmol/L group and FPG ≥ 6.10 mmol/L group were higher than that of the FPG level ＜5.60 mmol/L group [50.0％ (39/78) and 71.4％ (15/21) vs24.1％ (346/1 436),x2 were 12.456 and 21.443,all P＜0.003].Conclusions Early pregnancy FPG level is not proper to be used as an early diagnostic tool of GDM.However,when early pregnancy FPG level is equal to or greater than 5.60 mmol/L,the incidence of GDM in late pregnancy will increase significantly.

Objective To observe the characteristics of electrocardiographic parameters of the right heart in the early newborns with different gestational age.Methods Seventy-five cases of early newborns from January 2014 to January 2015 were selected.They were divided into 4 groups according to gestational age,15 cases in group A (28-30 weeks),18 cases in group B (＞30-33 weeks),17 cases in group C (＞33-37 weeks) and 25 cases in group D (＞ 37-40 weeks).All newborns were examined by the synchronous 12-lead ECG machine,and the changes in ECG time limit detection results,QRS amplitude and RV1 amplitude were compared among groups.Results (1) There was a significant difference in P-R intervals among group A [(0.090 ± 0.011) s],group B [(0.095 ± 0.012) s],group C [(0.098 ± 0.013) s] and group D [(0.105 ± 0.014) s] (F =7.458,P ＜ 0.05).The P-R intervals of group A,group B and group C were much shorter than those of group D (P ＜ 0.05);the comparison of QRS duration and QTc among groups had no statistical significance (F =1.626,1.569,all P ＞ 0.05).(2) In group A:QRS amplitude was:(4.430 ± 1.380) mV,RV1 amplitude:(0.850 ± 0.420) mV;in group B:QRS amplitude was:(4.800 ± 1.350) mV,RV1 amplitude:(1.012 ± 0.425) mV;in group C:QRS amplitude was:(5.200 ± 1.600) mV,RV1 amplitude:(1.210 ± 0.520) mV;in group D:QRS amplitude was:(5.800 ± 1.800) mV,RV1 amplitude:(1.509 ± 0.525) mV.There were significant differences in QRS and RV1 amplitude among 4 groups (F =7.002,16.870,all P ＜ 0.05).The QRS amplitude changes in group A and group C were far less than those in group D (P ＜ 0.05),the RV1 amplitude changes in group A,group B,and group C were far less than those in group D (P ＜ 0.05),and there was no difference between among other groups (all P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions There are correlations between the electrocardiographic parameters of right heart and the gestational age of newborn infants.These parameters,including the P-R intervals,the amplitude of QRS and RV1,increase with the gestational age.
