Objective: To investigate effects of different excipients and its compounds on extract granulating made by spray drying and to find the best compound of making granule. Methods: Taking difficulty of granulating; obtaining rate, granule dissolution rate, hygroscopicity as assessing index, evaluating effects of different excipients and its compounds on granulating and finding the best compound. Results: Different excipients and its compounds could significantly decrease the hygroscopicity of extract. Different compounds could sharply affect difficulty of granulating, obtaining rate and granule disdoultion while lightly affecting the hygroscopicity. Conclusion: When critical relative moisture is controlled under 65%, the following two compounds can be selected: (1) extract sucrose silion dioxide (500∶115∶25). (2) extract sucrose microcrystalline cellulosec silion dioxide.

The cytotoxic agents pemetrexed and docetaxel and the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)tyrosine kinase inhibitors(TKIs)erlotinib and gefitinib are standard second-line therapies for non-small cell lung cancer. For patients without the EGFR mutation, more and more evidence has suggested the superiority of chemotherapy over targeted therapy. Adding targeted agents to standard second-line treatment is an trend of exploration, but without promising results nowadays. Crizotinib, targeting at anaplastic lymphoma kinase, has been shown excellent efficacy for second-line therapy in non-small cell lung cancer.

Targeted therapy of anti-angiogensis strategy is the standard treatment for metastatic renal cell cancer. In recent years,a number of new generation of anti-angiogensis agents have been tested in clinical trials, some of which have achieved promising outcomes.Other pathway inhibitors such as inhibitors of mamma-lian target of rapamycin and fibroblast growth factor receptor pathway have made progresses in some extent.

Objective To understand the dynamics of the treatment and outcomes of advanced schistosomiasis patients in Qianjiang City so as to provide the evidence for improving the future work. Methods All advanced schistosomiasis patients were investigated in Qianjiang City during the period of 2009-2013. Results Totally 1 284 person?times of advanced schistoso?miasis patients received the treatment. The rate of clinical improved was 89.88% and 82 patients were cured. The type of asci?tes was the majority and the megalosplenia type was the second. Conclusion The prevalence of advanced schistosomiasis showed a decreasing tendency but the incidence of new advanced schistosomiasis patients showed a slightly increasing.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2013;30(4):710-723
This paper proposed a morphological component analysis (MCA) method, which is based on sparse representation, to detect the spike wave in electroencephalogram (EEG) signals. It takes the advantage of MCA being able to extract the background waves and the spike waves from the EEG signals, respectively,as the dictionaries and chooses the discrete cosine transform (DCT) and the daubechies order 4 wavelet (db4) transformation as the dictionaries of MCA to detect the spike waves from the epileptic EEG. The experiment results showed that the MCA could detect epileptic spike waves in EEG signals very effectively, and it yielded high selectivity of 89.01% and sensitivity of 90.71%. As a feature extraction/decomposition algorithm, MCA can be used to extract the spike waves from EEG signals.

Objective To compare different incidence between lateral position and horizontal position in the Burr holes irrigation drainage(BHID).The BHID is wildly known as the most frequently used neurosurgical treatment of chronic subdural hematoma(CSDH).Methods A total of 80 cases were selected which were undergone BHID during January 2010 and December 2015,and the incidence of intracranial pneumatocele was compared after operation. All of cases came from the Second People′s Hospital of Tai Zhou City. Results There were 5 cases(out of 50,10%)having moderate intracranial pneumocephalus but no numerous intracranial pneumocephalus in lateral position, while 26 cases(out of 30 cases,87%)in horizontal position emerging moderate amount or more intracranial pneumatocele. And there were 8 cases'numerous pneumatocele in the horizontal postion group. There was no tension pneumothorax emerging in both groups. Both groups had statistical difference (χ2 =46.43,P <0.01.Conclusion BHID in lateral postion is a simple and effective method for CSDH,and it is conducive to reduce postoperative intracranial pneumatosis. That is worthy of application and promotion.

Objective To evaluate the effects of antitumor, toxicity and survival of second-line chemotherapy with docetaxel and capecitabine in patients with advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Methods Thirty eligible patients with measurable lesions received 1-hour intravenous treatment of docetaxel (60 mg/m2 on day 1) plus oral capecitabine (825 mg/m2 twice daily on days 1-14) every 3 weeks for up to 6 cycles. Results Patients received a median of two cycles of treatment (range 2-6).The median follow-up interview was 15.4 months (3.0-31.5 months).Intent-to-treat efficacy analysis demonstrated an overall response rate of 23.3 % (0 complete and 7 partial) and stability of 43.3 % (13 cases). The median time to progression was 3.0 months (95 % CI 1.929-4.071).The median survival was 8.3 months (95 % CI6.848-9.752).Severe adverse events (grade 3/4) reported were neutropenia (10 cases),anaemia (5 cases),thrombocytopenia (3 cases),hand-foot syndrome (4 cases),and fatigue (3 cases). Conclusion Docetaxel plus capecitabine have a manageable adverse event profile and promising activity in advance esophageal squamous cell carcinoma as a second-line treatment.

Objective To investigate the protective function of edaravone in the compressed spinal cord. Methods There were 150 rabbits enrolled in each group in the experiment.Rabbits in both operation group and edaravone (EDA) treating group received mild spinal cord compressionby setting a flap head screw between C6 C7 after the neck. The spinal cord decompression was conducted seven days later. After 6 hours, rabbits in the EDA treating group were injected with a large amount of EDA through ear border veins, while the rabbits in the operation group only received 0.9% sodium chloride injection. The transmission electron microscope was used to observe the apoptotic bodies at 1 day,3 days and 7 days after compression, and 1 day,3 days,7 days, and 14 days after decompression.Flow cytometry was used to test the rate of apoptosis of spinal cord cells.Immunohistochemistry was used to test the expression of Bax protein that is related to apoptosis. Results The neuronal apoptosis appeared after compression in both operation group and EDA-treating group. The Basso Beattie Bresnahan (BBB) score, neuronal apoptosis rates, and Bax protein expressions in both groups were statistically different (P < 0.05) when the spinal cord was compressed in the first day and the third day, while there was no statistically different when spinal cord compressed at the seventh day (P > 0.05).After decompression of the spinal cord, the BBB score, neuronal apoptosis rates, and Bax protein expressions in both groups were becoming lower at the seventh day (P <0.05).Conclusions EDA has protective function for compressed spinal cord. However, only the compression of spinal cord compression period of sufficient decompression can fundamentally protect the spinal cord.
