Cardiovascular drugs are commonly used in clinical medicine,which can cause refractory shock and cardiac arrest when poisoning.Lipid emulsion was mainly used for detoxification of lipophilic anesthetics poisoning in the past.Recently more and more studies and clinical cases suggest that lipid emulsion can be adopted as one of therapies for cardiovascular drugs poisoning.Now we review and focus on the research status of the lipid emulsion in the treatment of cardiovascular drugs poisoning,the related mechanisms of detoxification,therapeutic regimen and adverse effect.

As master genes during embryogenesis, Homeobox(Hox) genes play important roles not only in embryonic development, cellular growth and differentiation and the expression of the specific genes of some tissue, but also in controlling hematopoietic tissue development and differentiation in a germ line -specific and stage-specific. At present studies showed there is a close relationship between Hox genes and tumorgenesis. This article reviews the advances in the research on correlation between homeobox genes and tumorgenesis.

Objective:To explore effect of serum leptin level on nutriture in the patient of chronic renal failure(CRF)and the relation with TCM syndrome types of CRF.Methods:110 cases in CRF group were divided into 5 subtypes and 30 normal persons were used as control group.Serum leptin level,body height,body weight,and body mass index(BMI)were determined in both groups;and serum albumin,serum pre-albumin,transferin,serum creatinine,urea nitrogen,C-reaction protein,blood insulin,and nutrition risk index(NRI)were detected in CRF group.Results:Serum leptin level in CRF group was higher than that in the control group,and leptin level and nutritional index level in both the subtype groups of Qi-and Yang-deficiency of spleen and kidney were significantly different with those in other 3 subtype groups.Conclusion:High blood leptin is possibly one of the reasons inducing malnutriture of CRF patient,and serum leptin is possibly a partial basis of substances of Qi-and Yang-deficiency syndrome of CRF.

Objective To study the treatment method of giant neurofibromatosis on body surface.Methods Replantation of the tumor skin,full-thickenss skin grafting and transferring of expanded flap were used to reconstruct the appearance and function after the excision of giant neurofibroma.Results Sixteen cases gained primary healing while other 2 cases with delayed healing after onestage or fractionated resection of giant neurofibroma on body surface.All the 18 patients resumed selfcare and working ability.Conclusions Giant neurofibromatosis has significant damage to the appearance and body shape and also greatly limits the patient's life and work.Patients can resume physical and psychological rehabilitation by surgical resection and plastic surgery treatment.

Objective To investigate the mechanism of regulation of endothelium participating angiogenesis by macrophage. Methods Human umbilical vein cell line (ECV-304) was cultured. When 60% of the ECV-304 cells became confluent, human macrophage cell line (U937) after being stimulated by concanavalin A (Con A) was co-cultured with them. The cells were then divided into four groups, i.e. control group (pure ECV-304 culture), co-culture group of Con A with ECV-304, co-culture group of U937 with ECV-304, and co-culture group of U937 with Con A and ECV-304. After 48 hours of co-culture, the morphology of ECV-304 cells was observed under invert microscope, and the changes in cell cycle of ECV-304 were determined by flow cytometry. In addition, the changes in the expression levels of homeobox (HOX) B2 mRNA and VEGF receptor KDR of endothelia cells were assessed by RT-PCR. Objective To investigate the bacterial distribution and resistance to antibiotics of severely burned patients in our institute.Methods The bacteria culture of secretions from burn wounds was performed and bacterial susceptibility testing was carried out using Kirby-Bauer method.The correlation data were compared with those of years 1985～1998. Results gramnegative bacteria were still more than grampositive ones. Pseudomonas aeruginosa took the first place in gramnegative bacteria and staphylococcus aureus was the most often dectected grampositive bacteria. Almost all isolated bacteria had an increasing drug resistance to frequently used antibiotics. Conclusions More efforts should be put on to the regular bacteriological surveys and antibiotics usage to postpone the occurrence of drug resistance of bacteria and lengthen the effective period of antibiotics.
