Objective To evaluate efficacy of percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) and stenting for treatment of transplanted renal artery stenosis (TRAS). Method Seven patients with TRAS were included in this study. By femoral or axillary approach, balloon angioplasty and /or metallic stents placement at stenostic renal artery were performed. Results Of the seven patients, balloon angioplasty was carried out in 3 (2 cases via femoral artery, 1 via axillary artery), both balloon angioplasty and metallic stents placement were performed in 4 (2 via femoral artery, 2 via axillary artery). After the procedure, blood pressure recovered to normal in 5 cases, controlled with administration of antihypertensive in the other 2 cases. By 9 to 36 month′s follow up, restenosis of renal artery occurred in only 1 case at 9 months after stent implantation. The second balloon angioplasty were taken and better renal artery blood flow was obtained in this case. Other 6 cases showed no restenosis. Conclusion PTA and stents placement were effective and safe approach in treatment of TRAS. Further investigation was needed to prevent and manage restenosis after these procedures.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2000;0(11):-
Objective To observe the relationship between pregnancy-associated plasma protein-A (PAPP-A), C-reactive protein (CRP) and acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Methods Sixty-eight patients with coronary artery disease, who were confirmed by angiography, were enrolled in this study. Among them, there were 43 cases with ACS and 25 cases with stable angina. At the same time, randomly selective 20 healthy subjects served as control group. Plasma PAPP-A and CRP levels were measured by using untrasensitive immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results The plasma levels of PAPP-A and CRP were significantly higher in ACS patients than those in control group (PAPP-A: 17.9?8.7mIu/L VS 7.1?4.2mIu/L, P1, which indicated both were the risk factors of ACS. Conclusion The plasma levels of PAPP-A and CRP increased in ACS patients, and both PAPP-A and CRP were independent risk factors of ACS.

Objective:To investigate the colony formation of high-proliferative potential colony-forming cells(HPP-CFC) from bone marrow-derived hematopoietic cells of psoriatic patients and p21 gene promotor methylation in HPP-CFC,and probe into the relationship between the colony formation and the methylation status of p21 gene promoter.[WT5"HZ] Methods:[WT5"BZ]Bone marrow-derived mononuclear cells were separated by density gradient centrifugation. The cells were cultured in methycellulose semi-solid culture medium with SCF,GM-CSF,IL-3 and IL-6 for 14 days, and then high-proliferative potential colony-forming cells(HPP-CFC) were counted. The HPP-CFC were collected and their genomic DNA was isolated . DNA was subjected to bisulfite treatment, and the modified DNA was studied by using the methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction (MSP).[WT5"HZ]Results:[WT5"BZ]In methycellulose semi-solid culture system, the number of HPP-CFC in bone marrow of psoriatic patients was significantly less than that of normal control. The positive frequency of methylation of p21 gene promoter in HPP-CFC of normal contrasts was higher than that of psoriatic patients. [WT5"HZ]Conclusion:[WT5"BZ]The activity of methylation status of p21 gene promoter of bone marrow derived hematopoietic cells of psoriatic patients is abnomal. The lower positive frequency of methyllation of p21 gene promotor in HPP-CFC perhaps play a role in lower colony-forming capability of HPP-CFC of psoriatic patients.

Objective To study the influence of culture supernatant of psoriatic peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) on the colony-forming of bone marrow-derived hematopoietic stem cells and progenitor cells. Methods Bone marrow-derived mononuclear cells were separated by density gradient centrifugation. Methylcellulose semi-solid culture medium was used to culture the bone marrow mononuclear cells in culture systems. The PBMC culture supernatant from psoriatic patients or normal controls were added to the culture, to observe their influence on the marrow-derived high proliferative potential colony forming cells (HPP-CFCs), erythroid and granulocyte-macrophage colony forming units (CFUs-E and CFUs-GM) of bone marrow hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells from healthy individuals. Results The values of HPP-CFCs, CFUs-E and CFUs-GM were significantly lower in the bone marrow cells stimulated by the supernatant of cultured psoriatic PBMCs than those stimulated by the supernatant of cultured normal PBMCs and those in the spontaneous proliferation group (P 0.05). Conclusions Psoriatic PBMCs have specific biological activity and can inhibit the colony forming of bone marrow hematopoietic cells from healthy individuals.

Objective: To observe the changes of heart rate and the contents of angiotensin Ⅱ(AngⅡ) in blood plasma in ventricular tachycardia(VT) rats with electro-acupuncture(EA) on ‘daling’(PC7). Methods: 40 SD rats were randomly divided into normal, model, treatment and control groups with 10 cases in each. VT model was duplicated by inject CsCl in femoral vein. To observe the rats’ electrocardiogram (ECG) and record their heart rates. EA was applied to‘daling’ (PC7) on treatment group and applied to‘Taiyuan’ (LU9) on control group for 5 minutes. Then, we detected the contents of AngⅡ in the rats’blood plasma respectively. Results: The heart rate and contents of AngⅡin rat increased obviously in model group were (547?30) time/min and (353.21?49.12)pg/mL). They restored to the normal state after EA ‘daling’ (PC7) are(474?25)time/min and(268.44?47.49)pg/ mL.But the effect was not obvious in ‘Taiyuan’ (LU9). Conclusion VT rat heart can be prompted to restore to the normal state after EA ‘daling’(PC7); AngⅡ played an important role in VT.
