Objective To observe whether electroacupuncture (EA) is protective to the blood-brain barrier (BBB) in rabbits with acute cerebral infarction and explore the underlying mechanisms. Methods Eighty rabbits were used in this study. After establishing the acute cerebral infarction rabbit model,all the animals were randomly allocated to a model group and an EA group. The acupoint "Bai Hui" and "Shui Gou" in Du meridian in the rabbits of the experimental group were stimulated by EA. The content of ANP,cAMP and cGMP was examined. Results Compared with the model group,the content of ANP in blood plasma and cAMP in brain tissue of the EA group significantly increased,while the content of cGMP decreased,the ratio cAMP/cGMP increased nearly to the normal level. Conclusion The EA exerted protective effect and promoted repair of BBB in rabbits with acute cerebral infarction,which might be modulated by the changes of the content of ANP in blood plasma and cAMP,cGMP in brain tissue.

Objective: To observe the changes of heart rate and the contents of angiotensin Ⅱ(AngⅡ) in blood plasma in ventricular tachycardia(VT) rats with electro-acupuncture(EA) on ‘daling’(PC7). Methods: 40 SD rats were randomly divided into normal, model, treatment and control groups with 10 cases in each. VT model was duplicated by inject CsCl in femoral vein. To observe the rats’ electrocardiogram (ECG) and record their heart rates. EA was applied to‘daling’ (PC7) on treatment group and applied to‘Taiyuan’ (LU9) on control group for 5 minutes. Then, we detected the contents of AngⅡ in the rats’blood plasma respectively. Results: The heart rate and contents of AngⅡin rat increased obviously in model group were (547?30) time/min and (353.21?49.12)pg/mL). They restored to the normal state after EA ‘daling’ (PC7) are(474?25)time/min and(268.44?47.49)pg/ mL.But the effect was not obvious in ‘Taiyuan’ (LU9). Conclusion VT rat heart can be prompted to restore to the normal state after EA ‘daling’(PC7); AngⅡ played an important role in VT.

Boosting spatial resolution of visual prostheses is an effective method to improve implant subjects' visual perception. However, power consumption of visual implants greatly rises with the increasing number of implanted electrodes. In respond to this trend, visual prostheses need to develop high-efficiency wireless power transmission and high-speed data transmission. This paper presents a review of current research progress on wireless power and data transmission for visual prostheses, analyzes relative principles and requirement, and introduces design methods of power and data transmission.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of cold preservation solution containing desferrioxamine (DFO) in protecting the rat hearts.Methods Pathogen-free male Sprague-Dawley rats,weighing 300-350 g,were used in the study.Thirty-two isolated rat hearts were equally and randomly divided into control group (C group) and DFO group using a random number table.Hearts of rats were stored for 6 h in 4 ℃ histidine-tryptophan-ketoglutarate (HTK) solution in group C.DFO was added to HTK solution (DFO concentration 100 μmol/L),and hearts of rats were stored for 6 h in 4 ℃ HTK solution in group DFO.At 6 h of cold storage,creatine kinase and lactate dehydrogenase activities in the cold preservation solution were determined.Myocardial specimens were obtained from the apex,cut into sections which were stained with haematoxylin and eosin,and examined under a microscope.The pathological changes of myocardial tissues were scored.The content of malondialdehydc in myocardial tissues was determined using thiobarbitnric acid method,and hypoxia-inducible factor-1α protein and mRNA expression in myocardial tissues was detected by real-time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction and Western blot.Results Compared with group C,the creatine kinase and lactate dehydrogenase activities in the cold preservation solution,malondialdehyde content in myocardial tissues,and pathological scores were significantly decreased,and the expression of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α protein and mRNA expression in myocardial tissues was significantly up-regulated in group DFO (P＜ 0.05).Conclusion Cold preservation solution containing DFO can protect the rat hearts effectively,and the mechanism is related to up-regulation of the expression of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α.

Objective:To detect the related substances in norfloxacin glutamate and sodium chloride injections on the basis of nor-floxacin related substances analysis method described in Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2010 edition to establish a more scientific and feasible method. Methods:HPLC was performed under the following conditions:a Diamonsil C18(2)(250 mm ×4.6 mm,5μm) column, mo-bile phase A of 0. 025 mol·L-1 phosphoric acid-acetonitrile(87∶13), phase B of acetonitrile, with gradient elution at a flow rate of 1. 0 ml·min-1 , the detection wavelength of 278nm and 262nm, the injection volume of 20 μl, and the column temperature of 25℃. Results:Under the HPLC conditions, the samples had good stability and separation. An excellent linear relationship was achieved within the range of 0. 032-3. 179μg·ml-1(r=1. 000 0),the detection limit of impurity A was 0. 159 ng,and the average recovery was 98. 3% with RSD of 0. 64%(n=9). Conclusion:Compared with the existing methods, the gradient elution method is accurate, sen-sitive, specific and reproducible, and can be used in the determination of related substances in norfloxacin glutamate and sodium chlo-ride injections.

Standards provide technical basis for the development of health food, which are the technical cornerstone for health food to base on and the technical methods for the promotion of quality improvement of health food.Under the new situation of the Thirteenth Five-year period, a more systematic, safer and more effective inspection standard system for health food is urgently needed to establish, which can fully satisfy the growing needs of health food products and meet the requests of industry development at high level.Based on the current standards of health food, this paper stated the present development situation of inspection standard system of health food, and studied and summarized the main problems in the standard source, classification and existing standard system.On this basis, the author put forward some exploratory suggestions to improve the standard system of health food.

Objective To evaluate the safety and feasibility of simplified fast track surgery in gastric surgery.Methods The study enrolled consecutive cases of elective gastric surgery from March 2010 to December 2011.The patients were randomized into two groups:simplified fast track surgery group (n =149) and traditional clinical pathway group (n =154).Demographic,intra-operative and post-operative data between two groups were compared.Results The outcome of demographic and intra-operative data between simplified fast track surgery group and traditional clinical pathway group were not different statistically (P ＞ 0.05).The time of post-operative recovery and discharge of simplified fast track surgery group was significantly shorter than traditional clinical pathway group (P ＜ 0.05).Difference of post-operative complications of two groups was not significant (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion The programme of simplified fast track surgery in gastric surgery is safe and feasible.

According to analyses of the real-time performance of the visual prosthesis image processing system, down-sampling is a key factor which influences the processing speed. Based on these analyses, the algorithm of grid sampled averaging was proposed for down-sampling. Then the effect of grid parameters on the result and algorithm complexity was evaluated by using the regional-averaging algorithm as a reference. Our research shows that the grid-averaging algorithm could reduce the computation burden by 90% or more, with no significant difference from the regional-averaging algorithm.
