PurposeTo perform a quality assurance program for Truebeam imaging system using MIMI phantom, and to evaluate the accuracy of the imaging system center with the radiation isocenter and the accuracy of couch shift.Materials and Methods The reference images of MIMI phantom were acquired using CT scanner. The reference images were imported into the treatment planning system and a simple plan was created. The MIMI phantom was placed on the treatment couch. The images were acquired using the MV/KV imaging system, and a match registration was performed with the reference images from the TPS.Results Measured over six months, the precision of the imager and linac's isocenter was <1 mm, and the couch shift accuracy was <1 mm. The measurements over six months demonstrate that isocenters of the MV/KV imaging systems on Truebeam system are stable. Conclusion The accuracy of the Truebeam imaging system center and couch shift is safe and reliable. The error of Truebeam imaging system center and couch shift can be tested on a monthly base.

OBJECTIVE To determine the functional role of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in protecting against mitochondrial dysfunction in heart failure through the inhibition of Ca2 +/calmodulin-dependent protein kinaseⅡ (CaMKⅡ) using wild type and CSE knockout mouse models. METHODS Continuous subcutaneous injection isoprenaline (7.5 mg·kg-1 per day), once a day for 4 weeks to induce heart failure in male C57BL/6 (6-8 weeks old) mice and CSE-/- mice. 150 μmol·L-1 H2O2 was used to induce oxidative stress in H9c2 cells. Echocardiograph was used to detect cardiac parameters. H&E stain and Masson stain was to observation histopathological changes. Western blot was used to detect protein expression and activity. The siRNA was used to silence protein expression. HPLC was used to detect H2S level. Biotin assay was used to detect the level of S-sulfhydration protein. RESULTS Treatment with S-propyl-L-cysteine (SPRC) or sodium hydrosulfide (NaHS), modulators of blood H2S levels, attenuated the development of heart failure in animals, reduced lipid peroxidation, and preserved mitochondrial function. The inhibition CaMKⅡ phosphorylation by SPRC and NaHS as demonstrated using both in vivo and in vitro models corresponded with the cardioprotective effects of these compounds. Interestingly, CaMKⅡ activity was found to be elevated in CSE-/- mice as compared to wild type animals and the phosphorylation status of CaMK Ⅱ appeared to relate to the severity of heart failure. Importantly, in wild type mice SPRC was found to promote S-sulfhydration of CaMKⅡ leading to reduced activity of this protein however, in CSE-/- mice S-sulfhydration was abolished following SPRC treatment. CONCLUSION A novel mechanism depicting a role of S-sulfhydration in the regulation of CaMKⅡ is presented. SPRC mediated S-sulfhydration of CaMKⅡ was found to inhibit CaMKⅡ activity and to preserve cardiovascular homeostasis.

Abstract: Objective To evaluate the completion and final effect of key parasitic disease prevention and control planning tasks in Hubei Province from 2016 to 2019, summarize the experience, find out the problems, and provide the basis for the next stage of prevention and control. Methods According to the requirements of the Final Evaluation Plan of the National Plan for the Prevention and Control of Hydatid Disease and Other Major Parasitic Diseases (2016-2020), a retrospective survey method was adopted to collect relevant data on the implementation and safeguard measures of the prevention and control of major parasitic diseases, and population infection status in Hubei Province in 2016-2019. Results From 2016 to 2019, We carried out 2 920 992 person times of publicity and education, 209 times of prevention and control technology training, 7 680 person times of business training, with an average of 52 sessions and 1 920 person times per year. We have allocated 3.445 2 million yuan for the prevention and control of parasitic diseases, including 1.722 2 million Yuan froom provincial government, to achieved full coverage of safe drinking water in rural areas under the current national standards, and 7.687 9 million harmless toilets have been built in rural areas. From 2016 to 2019, we carried out 39 658 person times of monitoring and disease investigation, the infection rate of human liver fluke was 0, and the infection rate of soil transmitted nematode was 0.42%. While the annual infection rates varied, there was no statistically significant difference in infection rate between years (χ2=2.276, P>0.05), but there were statistically significant differences in the infection rates between various soil nematodes (χ2=112.807, P<0.01). From 2016 to 2019, a total of 5 393 people were detected at 17 monitoring points, with the serum positive rate of 3.93% for paragonimiasis, there was a statistically significant difference in serological positive rate between years (χ2=146.011, P<0.01); a total of 738 stream crabs were collected, and the infection rate of intermediate host was 16.26%, wtih a statistically significant difference in the infection rate of stream crabs between years (χ2=49.731, P<0.01). Conclusions From 2016 to 2019, we adhered to the prevention and control strategy of "prevention first, prevention and control combined", implemented comprehensively various prevention and control measures, and achieved remarkable results in Hubei Province. The key parasitic diseases have been in a low epidemic situation, meeting the requirements of the prevention and control objectives. But the transmission risk still exists, the next step is to continue to strengthen security and monitoring and consolidate the achievements of prevention and control.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1992;0(05):-
Objective To investigate the relationship between the clinical character and pathological variants as well as response to treatment of focal segmental glomerulosclerosis(FSGS) in children. Methods The clinical feature, laboratory data and histological variants of 48 children with idiopathic FSGS proven by renal biopsy were studied retrospectively. Among them,34 were boys;14 cases were girls. The age ranged from 1.75 to 16.0 years. Results Of 48 children with FSGS,nephrotic syndrome in 32(66.7%)was the predominant clinical manifestation. The pathological classification included FSGS not otherwise specified(NOS) in 29 cases(60.42%), perihilar variant in 14 cases(29.17%), tip variant 3 cases(6.25%), cellualr variant 2 cases(4.17%)and no collapsing variant. The different pathological variants had similar rate of segmental sclerosis glomeruli; perihilar variant had a higher global sclerosis glomeruli than FSGS NOS and other variants and there was a statistical significance(P 0.05).Vascular lesions were rarely seen in all kinds of histological variants of children. Conclusions Hypertension and renal insufficiency are less frequently seen in children FSGS, isolated hematuria as unique clinic presentation is common in FSGS. All pathological variants have tubular-interstitial lesions, but vascular lesions are rarely seen. Most FSGS children with nephrotic syndrome are sensitive to steroid at initial stage, and easy to develop frequent relapse gradually, immunosuppressive agent may be helpful to elevate remission rate.

Objective To evaluate the possible molecular pathogenesis of intractable temporal lobe epilepsy. The potassium ion channel gene KCNJ4 encodes one of the subfamilies of Kir channels, Kir2.3 subunit, which may play an important role in modulating neuronal excitation. Interference in the function or expression of this gene would cause disturbance of ionic concentrations, thus leading to seizure activity. Methods Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and Western-blot analysis were used to measure the expression alterations of KCNJ4 mRNA as well as its protein product Kir2.3 channel in temporal cortex samples from patients who had undergone temporal lobectomy for intractable epilepsy (n=12). Tissue from 10 subjects who did not have epilepsy served as controls. Results The expression of KCNJ4 mRNA (0.438?0.178) and its protein Kir2.3 (M 50=0.063) were significantly decreased in epileptic brain compared with the controls (P

Objective To determine the incidence of breast cancer?related lymphedema ( BCRL) in China and to analyze the associated risk factors. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data and the incidence of BCRL in 281 patients who were newly diagnosed with breast cancer and received surgery. The incidence of BCRL was evaluated using arm circumference measurement and Norman questionnaire. The risk factors for lymphedema were analyzed using chi?square test and logistic regression model. Results In all patients, the incidence rates of BCRL determined by arm circumference measurement and Norman questionnaire were 31?7% and 27?0%, respectively. The multivariate analysis showed that postoperative radiotherapy,a preoperative body mass index no less than 24 kg/m2 ,a large axillary lymph node dissection area, and a large number of positive axillary lymph nodes significantly increased the risk of BCRL (HR=2?87,P=0?042;HR=2?54,P=0?011;HR=1?97,P=0?037;HR=1?06,P=0?023). Moreover, patients with breast cancer and hypertension had 1?74?fold higher risk of BCRL than those with normal blood pressure. Conclusions The incidence of BCRL is still very high. However, most of patients only have mild edema. Postoperative radiotherapy, a large axillary lymph node dissection area, a large number of positive axillary lymph nodes,a high preoperative body mass index, and hypertension are risk factors for BCRL.
