Objective To summarize the clinical results of posterior fusion plus pedicle screw fixation in treatment of dens fracture combined with recoverable atlantoaxial dislocation. Methods Twenty-seven patients with dens fractures combined with recoverable atlantoaxial dislocation were treated with posterior pedicle screw fixation, reduction and fusion. In this series of patients, skull traction was made to restore the normal atlantoaxial joint before the operation. Results Atlantoaxial alignment or stability were restored, without complication due to instrumentation. A follow-up for 12-48 months (average 24 months) showed osseous union. Conclusion Posterior aflantoaxial pedicle screw and rod fixation provides immediate three-dimensional rigid fixation of aflantoaxial joint and is a more effective technique compared with previously reported techniques.

Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of tumor-associated carbohydrate anti-gen sTn in endometrium from patients with atypical hyperplasia of endometrium, endometrial carcinoma and benign the uter-ine lesion. And to analyze the association between sTn and the pathologic stage and grade of endometrial carcinoma. Meth-ods sTn was detected by immunohistochemistry in 193 patient samples, including 93 subjects with endometrial carcinoma, 50 subjects with atypical hyperplasia of endometrium and 50 subjects with benign uterine lesions. Results The positive sTn rate in endometrial carcinoma group was 73.1%,which was significantly different from that in atypical hyperplasia endo-metrium group (32%) and that in benign uterine lesion group (14%), (P<0.017). sTn positive rate in patients with endometri-al carcinoma was 78.8%which is higher than that in patients with other diseases (P<0.008 ). The positive rate of sTn in pa-tients with poorly differentiated endometrial carcinoma was significantly higher than that in patients with highly differentiat-ed endometrial carcinoma (P<0.017). The positive rate of sTn in tissues of tumor infiltration with depth of more than half of myometrial was significantly higher than in tissues of tumor infiltration with depth of equal or less than half of myometrial (P<0.05). But there was no significant difference in sTn positive rate between the endometrial carcinoma groups with and without lymph node metastasis (P>0.05). Conclusion sTn may play a role in the tumorigenesis and development of endo-metrial carcinoma.

Abstract: Objective To retrospectively analyze the investigation and disposal of the COVID-19 outbreak caused by the transmission of the Omicron variant in infected imported cases, and provide basis for COVID-19 outbreak management. Methods The description epidemiological method was used to describe the COVID-19 outbreak in Sanya City from March 31 to April 15, 2022. The propagation chain was mapped and the experience gained and shortcomings identified in emergency responses were analyzed. Results The outbreak resulted in 95 reported locally transmitted COVID-19 cases with a incubation period M(P25, P75) of 4 (3, 5) d. In the 95 cases, the proportion of cases detected through close contact screening, centralized isolation, community screening, control area screening, active treatment (examination), and key population screening were 33.68%, 22.11%, 18.95%, 12.63%, 6.32%, 4.21% and 2.11%, respectively. The epidemic spread for 6 generations, causing 5 clusters of outbreaks and 12 cases of cluster disease. The epidemic affected 12 villages/neighborhood committees, 1 bar, 1 hospital, 1 small clinic, 1 farmer's market, 1 large shopping mall and 1 restaurant in 2 districts of Sanya City. The result of gene sequencing was Omicron variant BA.1.1. Through the immediate launch of emergency plans, nucleic acid and antigen testing, controlling close contact between infected persons and close contacts, suspending indoor business sites, central urban control, and temporary suspension, COVID-19 was controlled within 16 days. Conclusions The transmission chain of this outbreak was clear and was caused by imported cases. Strengthening the management of the pass, doing a good job in information sharing and docking, timely screening for cases, screening, pushing, controlling high-risk groups, and implementing comprehensive control measures, can effectively prevent the spread of the epidemic, providing a reference for the control of epidemic situations in relevant scenarios.

Objective To investigate procedure and therapeutic effect of resection and reconstruction for axis tumors through the sub mandible approach. Methods Between December 2004 to June 2010,17 patients with axis neoplasm underwent tumor resection and antero-posterior reconstruction through the combined the sub mandible-inner sternocleidomastoid muscle (SMIS) approach and posterior approach. Tumor lesions involved C2 in 11 cases, C2-3 in 4, C2-4 in 2. Eight cases involved vertebral body, and 9 involved both vertebral body and element. Fourteen primary lesions including 4 giant cell tumors, 4 plasmocytomas, 2 chordomas, 2 eosinophilic granulomas, 1 hemangiopericytomas and 1 lymphoma, and 3 metastatic lesions were involved in this study. Three types of reconstruction in upper cervical spine including titanium mesh plus vertically placed titanium plate, titanium mesh plus obliquely placed titanium plate and trimmed titanium mesh alone, were adopted after anterior tumor resection, and then posterior tumor resection and reconstruction were performed. Results All patients experienced pain relief and neurological improvement after surgery. Except for one incidence of screw pull-out which was corrected by a revision surgery, solid fusion was achieved in all patients. A follow-up period of 6 months to 6 years was available for this study. One patient died of cerebral infarction 9 months postoperative. Two patients with chordoma relapsed 13 months and18 months postoperative, respectively, of whom one died of high plegia and respiratory failure, and the other was alive with disease. Two patients with metastasis died of multiple remote metastases 12 months and 18 months postoperative, respectively. Conclusion Through the SMIS apporach, a satisfactory exposure can be obtained for axis tumor resection and reconstruction. Anterior reconstruction of upper cervical spine after tumor resection can be achieved with internal fixation system of cervical spine, which can improve intraopera-tive safety. The combined anterior reconstruction and posterior occipito-cervcial fixation can provide immediate stability, and benefit maintaining stability of upper cervical spine.

Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2013;38(11):1117-1121
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the relationship between tumor-associated carbohydrate antigen sTn and endometrial carcinoma, and to evaluate the diagnostic value of 2 test methods.
METHODS:
A total of 200 patients were enrolled, including 100 subjects with endometrial carcinoma, 42 healthy nonpregnant women, 15 pregnant women without complications, and 43 patients with benign gynecologic diseases. The serum sTn-antigen concentrations were determined by 2 test methods (3P9 combined with 4A6, and B72.3 combined with CC49).
RESULTS:
There was a significant difference in the value and the positive rate of sTn in the serum between the subjects and the contrasts (P<0.05). The sTn level in the pregnant women was high. The sTn level in the serum and its positive rate in endometrial carcinoma became higher with the clinical stage. 3P9 combined with 4A6 was better than B72.3 combined with CC49 in the detection of sTn in the serum as to sensitivity, specificity, positive-prediction, negative-prediction, and accuracy.
CONCLUSION
The sTn antigen may become a new serological marker for the diagnosis of endometrial carcinoma, but pregnant women should be excluded. 3P9 combined with 4A6 is better than B72.3 combined with CC49 in the detection of sTn in the serum.

Journal of Veterinary Science 2023;24(3):e48-
Background:
Senecavirus A (SVA), a member of the family Picornaviridae, is newly discovered, which causes vesicular lesions, lameness in swine, and even death in neonatal piglets. SVA has rapidly spread worldwide in recent years, especially in Asia.
Objectives:
We conducted a global meta-analysis and systematic review to determine the status of SVA infection in pigs.
Methods:
Through PubMed, VIP Chinese Journals Database, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and Wanfang Data search data from 2014 to July 26, 2020, a total of 34 articles were included in this analysis based on our inclusion criteria. We estimated the pooled prevalence of SVA in pigs by the random effects model. A risk of bias assessment of the studies and subgroup analysis to explain heterogeneity was undertaken.
Results:
We estimated the SVA prevalence to be 15.90% (1,564/9,839; 95% confidence interval [CI], 44.75–65.89) globally. The prevalence decreased to 11.06% (945/8,542; 95% CI, 28.25–50.64) after 2016. The highest SVA prevalence with the VP1-based RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry assay was 58.52% (594/1,015; 95% CI, 59.90–83.96) and 85.54% (71/83; 95% CI, 76.68–100.00), respectively. Besides, the SVA prevalence in piglet herds was the highest at 71.69% (119/166; 95% CI, 68.61–98.43) (p < 0.05). Moreover, our analysis confirmed that the subgroups, including country, sampling year, sampling position, detected gene, detection method, season, age, and climate, could be the heterogeneous factors associated with SVA prevalence.
Conclusions
The results indicated that SVA widely exists in various countries currently. Therefore, more prevention and control policies should be proposed to enhance the management of pig farms and improve breeding conditions and the environment to reduce the spread of SVA.

s] Objective To detect the feasibility and efficiency of bone age(BA) artificial intelligence(AI) estimation based on deep learning features from traditional regions of interest(ROI) in hand digital radiographs(DR). Methods BA dataset of left hand DR with 11 858 subjects aged from 0 to 18 years in Children′s Hospital of Shanghai were split to training(80.0%) and validation (20.0%) set in this study. An improved regression convolutional neural networks and extreme gradient boosting decision tree method were utilized for the BA analysis based on traditional ROIs in the images. Another set of BA data with 1 229 subjects also in the hospital was adopted for test. Mean average precision(mAP) and mean absolute error(MAE) were used to assess model accuracy of detection and BA prediction, respectively. Results The mAP of ROIs detection of the model was 0.91,and MAE of all male and female subjects was 0.461 and 0.431 years respectively in validation and test sets. The difference less than 1 year in test accounted for 90.07% between BA assessment of the model and of the peadiatric radiologists, with an accuracy rate of 96.67%.The difference over 1 year was 9.03% (with underestimation of 6.43% and overestimation of 2.60%), in which corresponding age data was of being less in training set or sesamoid nearby adductor pollicis or fusion of epiphysis appeared in test set. Conclusion An AI model based on deep learning of traditional ROIs′features in hand DR images is initially achieved to automatically predict BA rapidly and effectively, yet it still needs further optimization.

Objective:To investigate the morphological feature and clinical significance of MRI around tumor after drug-eluting bead transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (DEB-TACE) of primary hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods:We reviewed and analyzed the data of hepatocellular carcinoma patients admitted from January 2017 to December 2018 in the Department of Radiological Intervention of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University. A total of 42 patients were enrolled, including 35 males and 7 females, aged (57.0±11.9) years. For the first time after operation, MRI enhancement showed peri-tumor margin enhancement as the starting point of follow-up. Follow-up and measure enhanced edge thickness, delayed enhancement, progression or remission data. Results:A total of 49 tumors and 84 peritumoral enhancement margins were included in 42 patients, with 30 sharp type , 40 rough type and 14 nodular type. The thickness of sharp type is less than that of rough type and nsodular type, and the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). The sharp type is the majority of the tumors with maximum diameter <5 cm, rough type and nodule type are the majority of tumors with maximum diameter ≥5 cm. Most of the sharp type are continuously enhanced, while the rough type and nodular type are not. Most sharp type relief (93.3%, 28/30), while rough type (80.0%, 32/40) and nodular type ( n=12) are mostly of deterioration, the differences are statistically significant (all P<0.05). Conclusion:Compared with the rough type and nodular type, the sharp type usually occurs in smaller tumors and more prone to local mitigation in the enhanced morphology around MRI after DEB-TACE in primary hepatocellular carcinoma.

Objective:To analyze the epidemic characteristics and periodicity of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) in Jingzhou City, Hubei Province, and provide a basis for scientific prevention and control of HFRS in Jingzhou City. Methods:Retrospective analysis was used to collect HFRS case data and population data of Jingzhou City and 8 counties (cities, districts) within its jurisdiction, including Shashi District, Jingzhou District, Gongan County, Jianli City, Jiangling County, Shishou City, Honghu City, and Songzi City from 1962 to 2020, from the Archives of the Jingzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the Infectious Disease Report Information Management System of the China Disease Control and Prevention Information System; and the epidemic characteristics of HFRS was analyzed in Jingzhou City and 8 counties (cities, districts) within its jurisdiction. The periodicity of HFRS onset was determined using wavelet analysis. Results:From 1962 to 2020, 18 936 HFRS cases were reported in Jingzhou City, with an average incidence rate of 5.95/100 000. There were a total of three epidemic peaks, namely from 1972 to 1973 (24.82/100 000, 24.84/100 000), 1983 (60.08/100 000), and 1995 (14.57/100 000). According to different regions, the high incidence areas of HFRS showed a phased transfer trend: from the 1960s to the 1970s, the Jiangbei area (Honghu City, Jianli City) was the highest incidence area; in the 1980s and 1990s, the high incidence areas were transferred to Jiangnan area (Songzi City, Shishou City, and Gongan County); after 2005, high incidence areas were relocated to Jiangbei area (Honghu City, Jianli City, Jiangling County). The wavelet analysis results showed that there were 12.30 and 21.77 years of HFRS epidemic cycles in Jingzhou City before 2000 ( P < 0.05); among them, the periodicity of Shashi District, Gongan County, Jiangling County, Shishou City, and Honghu City was relatively consistent with that of Jingzhou City, with epidemic cycles of about 12 or 22 years ( P < 0.05). Conclusions:Jingzhou City is currently at the peak of a 22-year epidemic cycle of HFRS, with Jiangbei area as the high incidence areas. The 12-year epidemic cycle in Jingzhou City has ended after 2000.
