Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 1993;0(01):-
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Sanzi Yangqing Decoction (Decoction of three kinds of seeds) for mammary cystic hyperplasia. Methods Totally 113 patients with mammary cystic hyperplastia were randomized into a treatment group (58 cases) which was prescribed Sanzi Yangqing Decoction and a control group (55 cases) which was given Ruhe Sanjie Tablet (Tablet for dissolving mammary masses). Both were treated for 3 courses. Before and after treatment the clinical symptoms and signs, hormones in serum of both groups, and the indices of hemodynamics of the treatment group were observed. Results The total effective rate of the treatment group was 89.66%, while that of the control group was 65.45%, there was significant difference (P

[Objective]To study the feasibility and significance of a safe arthroscopic entrance technique to posterior compartment of the knee joint.[Method]Exploratory surgery of posterior compartment of 239 knee joints was performed by arthroscope or its working instruments through the combined entrances of anteromedial, anterolateral, intercondylar notch, posteromedial, posterolateral and trans-septal.Their results were evaluated.[Result]With this technique, complete arthroscopic visualization of the posterior compartment of knee joint and arthroscopic procedures for this compartment could be easily performed in 216 cases(239 knees),except 5 cases with arthro-stiffness.There occurred 1 case of saphenous nerve injury but no complications such as injuries of popliteal neurovascular structures.[Conclusion]Combined entrances of posterior compartment of knee joint is a satisfactory approach for arthroscopic surgery of posterior compartment of knee joint and can give a high efficiency and quality of arthroscopic surgery for posterior compartment of knee joint.

Objective To explore the time course of response inhibition function in juvenile delin-quents with antisocial personality characteristics. Methods The healthy control group ( n=21),juvenile delinquents with antisocial personality characteristics ( CD +AP ) ( n=18) and juvenile delinquents ( CD) ( n=18) were selected in current study by recording the event-related potentials in a Go/Nogo task.N2 and P3 components of event-related potentials were analyzed. Results Behavioral results showed that Nogo cor-rection rate of control group ((93.13±2.71)%) were significantly higher than CD group ((87.51±2.82)%, P<0.01) and CD +AP group((85.63±2.45)%, P<0.01).In CD+AP group, the amplitude of the N2nogo ( (-1.82±1.64)μV) was significantly lower than control group ( (-6.36±2.93)μV, P<0.01) ,and the am-plitude of the P3nogo ((5.52±2.79)μV) was significantly decreased than healthy control ((11.26±4.92)μV, P<0.01).In CD group, the amplitude of P3nogo ((5.20±3.17)μV) was significantly reduced than healthy control ((11.26±4.92)μV, P<0.01).Conclusion N2nogo and N2d are associated with the early phases of response inhibition and reflected response conflict.P3nogo and P3d are associated with the late phases of response inhibition and monitored inhibitory control. These data suggest that CD+AP participants exhibited im-paired response conflict and inhibitory control. This may be associated with persistent antisocial behavior.

OBJECTIVE: To study the modulation of Jianjining Recipe (JJNR), a traditional Chinese compound herbal medicine for invigorating spleen and kidney on differential protein expression in spleen of rats with experimental autoimmune myasthenia gravis (EAMG). METHODS: EAMG rats were randomly divided into four groups: untreated group, JJNR-treated group, Qiangji Jianli capsule (QJJLC, a traditional Chinese compound herbal medicine)-treated group and prednisolone acetate (PA)-treated group. After therapeutic intervention with the above drugs for four consecutive weeks, the level of differential protein expression was analyzed by two-dimensional electrophoresis and matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry. RESULTS: Twelve differential proteins were identified by comparing EAMG rats and normal rats. The levels of allograft inflammatory factor-1, peroxiredoxin I and actin-related protein 2/3 complex subunit 5 were significantly regulated by JJNR (P<0.01). These proteins were closely associated with immune response and cell movement. CONCLUSION: The results suggest that there are differential protein expressions between EAMG rats and normal rats. Furthermore, as a Chinese medicine prescription with effect of invigorating spleen and kidney, JJNR can effectively regulate the levels of some EAMG-related protein expression.

Liver diseases are serious diseases harmful for human health. CCl4 induced liver injury, as a classic liver injury model, has been widely used in the screening of hepatoprotective drugs. This paper reviewed the research progress in the hepatoprotective effect of traditional Chinese medicines ( TCMs) on CCl4 induced acute liver injury in recent years, which can provide basis for searching TC-Ms with high efficiency and low toxicity and lay foundation for TCMs in the treatment of liver diseases.

Objective To investigate the effect of the aqueous extracts from Dioscorea nipponica Makino (AEDN) against the carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)-induced mice acute liver injury by regulating TLR4/MyD88 signal pathway. Methods 60 mice were randomly divided into control group, model group, low, medium and high dose AEDN groups according to radom number table with 10 mice in each group. Mice in low, medium and high dose AEDN groups were adiminstrated with 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg AEDN, in control and model groups were adiminstrated with solvent once a day for 7 consecutive days. Two hours after the last administration, mice were intraperitoneal injected with with 0.3% CCl4 olive oil solution to induce acute liver injury model, except for the mice in control group. Twenty-four hours after injection, the expressions of TLR4, MyD88 and NF-κB in liver tissue were evaluated by Western blot, mRNA levels were evaluated by PCR, and the AST and ALT levels in serum were also detected. Results Compared with model group, the serum AST (98.00 ± 17.75 U/L, 57.49 ± 9.66 U/L, 39.60 ± 9.49 U/Lvs. 113.40 ± 9.71 U/L) and ALT levels (76.00 ± 14.73 U/L, 50.70 ± 9.35 U/L, 35.25 ± 9.93 U/Lvs. 95.42 ± 11.64 U/L) were significantly decreased in low, medium and high dose AEDN groups (P<0.01); MyD88 (0.67 ± 0.21vs. 1.74 ± 0.42), NF-κB p65 (0.51 ± 0.09vs. 1.76 ± 0.31) and TLR4 (0.97 ± 0.25vs. 2.99 ± 0.72) levels were down-regulated in high dose AEDN group (P<0.01); the mRNA levels of IL-6 (2.22 ± 0.25, 1.76 ± 0.31vs. 5.20 ± 0.60), IL-1β (1.96 ± 0.35, 1.47 ± 0.23vs. 7.37 ± 0.99)、TNF-α (2.06 ± 0.25, 1.34 ± 0.33vs. 2.98 ± 0.50) in medium and high dose AEDN groups significantly decresed (P<0.01).Conclusions The AEDN has protective effect against CCl4-induced acute liver injury in mice via adjusting TLR4/MyD88 signal pathway.
