Based on the Clinical Medical Research Information Sharing System ( CMRISS ) , this article took thedisease-syndrome-herb study on acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD) as a model to explore the establishment of disease-syndrome-herb study method on many types of diseases for the guidance of Chinese medicine clinical practice. The CMRISS of the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which contained 5000 format electronic medical records from August 2011 to March 2013 , was used as the database . Data preprocessing , crystal reports and complex network were used in data mining to receive the frequency relation of AECOPD disease-syndrome-herb in order to analyze medica-tion features of different Chinese medicine clinical syndromes of AECOPD . The results showed that three syn-dromes, which were phlegm-heat obstructing the lungs, phlegm-stasis obstructing the lungs, and qi-yin deficien-cy, have corresponding Chinese herbs of licorice, orange peel and earthworm. The treatment of syndrome of phlegm-heat obstructing the lungs contains herbs to clear heat, remove phlegm and activate blood circulation. The treatment of syndrome of qi-yin deficiency contains herbs to benefitqi , nourish yin as well as to activate blood circulation and remove phlegm. It was concluded that the application of CMRISS is able to process a large amount of clinical data. The data mining results can be used to guide clinical practice. It provided a better plat-form for the scientific research of Chinese medicine clinical practice .

Objective To observe the mechanism of action of panax quinquefolium diolsaponins (PQDS) on anti-ventricular remodeling in rats. Methods The model of pressure-loading ventricular remodeling was established through the method of rat’s abdominal aorta deligation. The male Wistar rats were divided into 5 groups, including sham operation group, remodeling model group,Benazepril group, and low and high dose groups of PQDS. The rats were treated with PQDS (with dose of 50 and 100 mg?kg-1 i.g) for 6 weeks. The rats in sham operation group and remodeling model group were treated with normal sodium (with dose of 10 mL?kg-1?d-1 i.g) for 6 weeks. The rats in masculine medicine group were treated by Benazepril (with dose of 10 mg?kg-1 i.g) for 6 weeks. After 6 weeks of treatment, myocardial morphological parameters, the content of malondialdehyde (MDA) and activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) in serum, the contents of prostacycline (PGI2),thromboxane A2 (TXA2),nitric oxide (NO) and angiotensinⅡ (AngⅡ) in plasma were determined. At the same time, the contents of endothelium (ET) in plasma and myocardium were also determined. Results Compared with remodeling model group, the ventricular weight and cardiac coefficient were decreased significantly in the rats treated with PQDS (P0.05). Conclusion PQDS has protective effects on ventricular remodeling through increasing anti-oxidase activity, reducing the damage of free radicals and vasoactive substance on myocardium and correcting disequilibrium of PGI2/TXA2 in ventricular remodeling etc.

Objective To study the sequence of learning and memory loss in the rat after hemispheric irradiation. Methods After Sprague Dawly(SD) female rats were anaesthetized with chloral hydrate, their cerebral hemispheres were irradiated with a single dose of 5,15 or 30?Gy by 4?MeV electron. On D3,D7,D30 and D60, the learning and memorizing ability was measured with the Y maze test. Results On D3 and D7, the learning ability of SD rats was impaired most but partly restored in 1 to 2 months. In observation of memory loss, the intensity of cerebral function damage was in direct proportion to the increase of radiation dose. Conclusion The learning and memorizing ability of rats can be damage by hemispheric irradiation with the severity of impairment and possibility of recruitment depending on the dose.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(08):-
Objective To study the mechanism of glycerol in treatment of trigeminal neuralgia. Methods After chronic constriction injury was produced to the infraorbital nerve and the model of trigeminal neuralgia in rats was successfully established, the trigeminal ganglion and preganglionic rootlets were exposed through infratemporal fossa approach. In the experimental group, pure glycerol was instilled into the preganglionic rootlets, while in the control group physiologic saline instead. The electrophysiologic response and the results of the electron microscopy were observed at different time points after glycerol injection. Results The latency of sensory evoked potential in the experimental group was longer than that in control group. Under the electron microscope, demyelination and degeneration were very similar in two groups, but disruption of neuraxon was only observed in the experimental group. Neuraxon regeneration occurred 10 weeks later. Conclusion Retrogasserian glycerol rhizotomy in treatment of trigeminal neuralgia was through disruption of myelinated nerve fiber that is reversible.

Objective To evaluate role of intracoronary electrocardiogram (IcECG) in examining early myocardial damage during elective percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods Eighty-six patients of coronary heart disease with normal serum levels of creatine kinase-myoglobin (CK-MB) and cardiac troponin T (cTnT) before the procedure and undergone elective PCI were enrolled in the study.Their IcECG were recorded by a intracoronary guidewire and serum levels of CK-MB and cTnT were measured at baseline and eight and 24 hours after the procedure, respectively. The patients were divided into two group, abnormal and control, according to whether they had significant shift at ST-segment in IcECG.Cardiac events after intervention in the patients were followed-up and recorded. Myocardial damage was defined as serum level of cTnT increased to above the upper normal value after intervention. Results Significant shift at ST-segment in IcECG during PCI in 30 (35%, abnormal group) and no shift in other 56patients (65%, control group) of 86 patients with normal serum levels of cardiac markers before the procedure was observed, and all the procedure were successful Serum levels of cTuT and CK-MB significantly increased after intervention in 30 patients of abnormal group than those in control one ( P <0. 01 ). Sensitivity of intracoronary ST-segment shift was 77 percent for predicting myocardial damage, and specificity was 94 percent, with positive and negative predictive values of 90 percent and 86 percent, respectively. More cardiac events were observed at 4-week follow-up after intervention in abnormal group than those in control one (P<0. 05) and major coronary event-free survival was significantly lower in those with post-procedural ST-segment elevation in IeECG (P < 0. 05). Conclusions ST-segment shift in IcECG may be helpful for predicting myocardial damage during PCI procedure on time.
