Objective To explore the correlation between BCL2 binding component 3 (BBC3) expression and postoperative survival time of lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC),and investigate its molecular mechanism. Methods The expression of BBC3 in 39 patients was detected by using qRT-PCR assay.Meanwhile, clinical data of all patients were collected by follow-up visit. Then, the survival analysis was performed by using Kaplan-Meier and log rank tests. Moreover, multiple factors analysis was performed using COX proportional hazard model. At last,BBC3 was over-expressed in NCI-H226 cell lines, then detected the effects of BBC3 expression on cell proliferation and apoptosis by using MTT assay and flow cytometry. Results BBC3 expression were significantly correlated with the tumor metastasis (r=0.556,P=0.023),tumor size (r=0.532,P =0.042),T staging (r =0.551,P=0.021) and TNM staging (r=0.524,P=0.047).Meanwhile,the results of Kaplan-Meier and log rank tests found that BBC3 expression was significantly correlated with survival time of patients with LUSC,and the length of survival time in patients with high BBC3 expression was longer than that in patients with low BBC3 expression (x2 =7.542,P=0.006).The COX proportional hazard model indicated that tumor metastasis,T staging,TNM staging and BBC3 expression were independent factors which significantly affected survival time. Moreover, the proportion of apoptotic cells in the recombinant plasmid BBCs group was higher than that in the empty plasmid group and control group (P<0.05).Conclusion BBC3 expression could suppress the proliferation of tumor cells and promote apoptosis, and are significantly correlated with survival time of patients,so which may be assistant biomarkers for prognosis of LUSC.

Objective To discuss the significance of ventricular rate for patients with persistent atrial fibrillation and to provide theoretical evidence for how to prevent patients of atrial fibrillation from complications such as cerebral embolism and left ventricular dysfunction, and so on. Methods Patients with persistent atrial fibrillation for more than 1 year were divided into cerebral embolism group and non-cerebral embolism group,30 patients per group. The data of patients in both groups were collected and compared, including general clinical characteristics, prothrombin time international standard ratio (PT-INR), the highest, lowest and average ventricular rate detected by Holter monitor system, left atria diameter and left ventricular ejecting fraction measured by echocardiography. Results There was no significant difference between two groups about general clinical characteristics, left atria diameter and PT-INR. The highest, lowest and average ventricular rate were much higher in patients of cerebral embolism group than those in non-cerebral embolism group. However, left ventricular ejecting fraction was much lower in embolism group. Conclusions It is critical to control heart rate for patients of persistent atrial fibrillation to prevent cerebral embolism and left ventricular dysfunction.

Objective To explore the effect of preeclampsia on the expression of hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis related genesin the hippocampus of adolescent offspring rats. Methods The pregnant Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into two groups to be given 125 mg · kg-1 ·d-1 L-NAME or 1 mL pure saline by daily injection from day 14 to delivery.Serum corticosterone (CORT) levels in neonatal offspring rats were detected by ELISA.The mRNA and protein levels of glucocorticoid receptor (GR),corticotropin releasing hormone (CRH),CRH receptor 1 (CRHR1) and IL-6 in the hippocampus of 8-week offspring rats were determined by real-time PCR and Western blot, respectively. Results Compared with normal neonatal rats, the serum CORT concentration of neonatal rats with preeclampsia was increased (P<0.05).Compared with normal adolescent offspring, the levels of GR,CRH and CRHR1 mRNA and protein were increased in the hippocampus of adolescent rats with preeclampsia (P<0.05),accompanied by increased IL-6 mRNA and protein (P<0.05),as a downstream inflammatory gene of the GR.Conclusions We found that adolescent SD rats exposed to preeclampsia showed alteration in the expression of HPA related genes in the hippocampus, which played a role in the impairment of learning and memory in children.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of 0.1% mometasone furoate cream in the topical treatment of eczematous dermatoses including neurodermatitis and eczema. Methods A randomized double-blind parallel controlled clinical trial was conducted. The home made mometasone furoate cream or imported Eloson cream was topically used in patients with such dermatoses once daily for 4 weeks, respectively. Symptom/sign scores were evaluated at the beginning of the treatment and at the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th week after the initiation of the treatment. Results Two hundred and eighty-four patients were enrolled in the trial, including 143 patients with eczema and 141 patients with neurodermatitis. There are 142 patients each in test group and control group separately. All symptom/sign scores and total scores were significantly decreased 1, 2, 3, and 4 week after the treatment. No statistically significant difference was observed between the two groups. The cure rate and improvement rate in eczema patients were 78.87% and 97.18% in the test group; 84.51% and 92.96% in the control group; respectively. While the cure rate and improvement rate in neurodermatitis patients were 75.71% and 100% in the test group; 80.28% and 94.37% in the control group; respectively. The cure rate and improvement rate of total patients were 77.30% and 98.58% in the test group; 82.39% and 93.64% in the control group; respectively. No statistically significant difference in efficacy was observed between the two groups. There was no severe side effect in the two groups. One patient had mild contact dermatitis in the test group. Conclusions These results suggest that 0.1% mometasone furoate cream is an effective and safe drug in the treatment of neurodermatitis and eczema.
