Objective To investigate the status of high-risk human papilloma virus(HR-HPV)infection and natural clearance in males whose wife have been infected,and to analysis the coincidence rates of HPV subtypes in couples.Methods Urethra epithelial cells and urethral secretions of 246 males whose wife infected with HR-HPV have been enrolled in the study to detect 13 kinds of HPV subtypes and redetect after 1 year.Results The natural clearance rate of HR-HPV in male was 31.82％(35/110).The infection rate was 44.72％(110/246)in initial detection,while 30.49％(75/246) in redetection,the difference was statistically significant(χ2=10.612,P<0.05).The coincidence rate of HPV subtypes in couples was 15.04％(37/246)in initial detection,while 8.94％(22/246)in redetection,the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.333,P<0.05).The frequency percentage of HPV16,18 increased significantly in male,the difference was statistically significant(χ2=35.991,P<0.05).Conclusion HR-HPV can be cross-transmitted between infected women and their spouses.It is necessary to detect for her husband once women have been detected high-risk HPV positive.

[Summary] Berberine is akind of alkaloids extracted from Chinese herb medicine in cludingphellod endron ,coptis and radix berberidis .In recent years ,the pharmacological effects of berberinewas investigated extensively including anti-infection ,anti-arrhythmia ,protection of ischemic myocardium ,anti-hypertension , anti-tumor ,anti-HIV .And there are increasing reports about its hypoglycemic effect ,but its mechanism remains unclear .Here we summarize the possible mechanism of hypoglycemic effect and clinical efficacy of berberine .

AIM:To observe the therapeutic effect of aescine in the treatment of lumbar intervertebral disc prolapse(LIDP).METHODS:One hundred and seventy-six patients with LIDP were divided into 2 groups:aescine group of 80 patients［M56,F24;age(43±s17)a,course of disease(7.4±2.3) mo］ received conventional therapy plus aescine 10-15 mg in 5 % glucose or 0.9 % sodium chloride injection 250 mL,iv,drip,bid,for 7-10 d.Control group of 96 patients［M57,F39;age(42±16)a,course of disease(7±3)mo］only received conventional therapy,including towing,massage,acupuncture,anodyne.Therapeutic effects of both groups were compared after 4 wk.RESULTS:The total effective rate of aescine and control group was 95 % and 81 %,respectively(P＜0.05),while in those course of disease less than 0.5 a the effective rate was 97 % and 85 %,respectively(P＜0.05).No obvious adverse reactions occoured. CONCLUSION:Aescine is safe and effective for the treatment of LIDP.The shorter the disease course is,the better the therapeutic effects are.

Objective To investigate ultrasonographic features,clinical and histopathologic characteristics of hydrometra in the elderly women.Methods Hysteroscopy endometrial biopsy,dilation and curettage (D&C) and Tao Brush were selectively performed for the endometrial cytologic and histopathologic diagnosis according to the depth of the hydrometra investigated by transvaginal sonography,endometrial thickness and high-risk factors of carcinoma of endometrium in 72 elderly women with hydrometra.Results Among 72 elderly women with hydrometra,9 cases (12.5％) were examined by hysteroscopy,51 cases (70.8％) by D&C and 12 cases (16.7％) by endometrial cytology along with D&C.Histopathologic examination revealed that there were 7 (9.72％) cases with endometrial carcinoma,2 cases (2.8％) with atypical endometrial hyperplasia,6 cases (5.6％) with endometrial benign lesion,14 cases(19.4％)with pyometra and the other 43 cases (59.7％) with normal and simple hydrometra.Conclusions Transvaginal sonography in combination with endometrial cytology are beneficial for screening of endometrial disorders or for drainage of hydrometra in elderly women,decreasing invasive examinations such as D&C.

Objective To observe the effects of doxazosin on the expression of type Ⅰ and type Ⅲ collagen fiber in autoantibodies against α1-adrenergic receptors (α1-AA) positive diabetic rats,and to investigate the protective mechanism of doxazosin on cardiomyopathy of diabetic rats.Methods After establishment of diabetes model with streptozocin,diabetic rats were randomly divided into diabetic group (group A,n =10),doxazosin treated group (group B,n =10),α1-AA mediated group (group C,n =8),α1-AA plus doxazosin treated group (group D,n =8).Group C and group D were injected α1-AA (100 μg/100 g) by caudal vein at 0,4,8,12,and 16 weeks.Doxazosin (0.36 mg · kg-1 · d-1) was administered by lavage for 16 weeks in group B and group D,and other groups were given the same volume of saline every day.Expressions of type Ⅰ and type Ⅲ collagen fibers in myocardium of left ventricle were detected by immunohistochemical staining.Pathological changes in the myocardium were observed by both light and electron microscopes.Changes in collagen fiber in myocardium were detected by Van Gieson staining.Results Among various groups,there was no significant difference in blood glucose levels (P ＞ 0.05).After the intervention of doxazosin,body weight in group B and group D was greater than that of group A and group C (P＜0.05 or P＜0.01).Expression of type Ⅰ and type Ⅲ collagen fibers in myocardium in group D was lower than that in group C (P＜0.05).Expression of type Ⅰ and type Ⅲ collagen fibers in group B was lower than that in group A (P＜0.05) as well.Myocardial pathological changes in group C were most serious,showing reduced mitochondrial,vacuolar degeneration,and interstitial collagen hyperplasia.Cardiomyopathy in group D and group B was less marked as compared with that in group C and group A,respectively.Myocardial collagen fiber in group C was significantly increased and showed poor alignment.Compared with group C,myocardial collagen deposition in group D was obviously reduced.Conclusions Doxazosin may suppress type Ⅰ and type Ⅲ collagen expressions in myocardium of α1-AA mediated diabetic rats,resulting in alleviation of myocardial fibrosis and protection of myocardium in diabetic rats.

Objective Our previous research demonstrated that trkA and p75 receptors of nerve growth factor(β-NGF) are expressed in human pterygium fibroblasts(HPF), and trkA is expressed only in conjunctiva. The purpose of present study was to investigate the effects of β-NGF on proliferation of HPF and analyse the pathogenesis mechanism of pterygium. Methods The HPF specimen was obtained from Union Hospital of Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology during the surgery. Explant culture technique was used for the primary culture of HPF tissue. The cells of confluenting 80% were collected and digested using 0. 25% tripsin + 0. 02% EDTA (1:1) and the third to fifth generation of cells were utilized in the experiment. Different concentrations of β-NGF was added in medium. Cultured cells were identified using vimentin, keratin and α-SMA. MTT was used to determine the proliferation of HPF after addition of β-NGF. The expression of trkA and p75 in HPF was detected by immumofluorescence method. Cell proliferation also was semi-quantitatively analyzed by detect of expressions of PCNA protein and mRNA in HPF using Western blot and RT-PCR. Results Cultured HPF cells showed the positive responses for vimentin, α-SMA, trkA and p75 but absent reaction for keratin. MTT revealed that the OD value of HPF cells was gradually enhanced with the increase of β-NGF concentration in 12, 24, 48, 72 and 96 hours after β-NGF action with the maximum stimulation at 48 hours. The expression of PCNA protein and mRNA in HPF was significantly different among various concentrations of β-NGF groups(F_(protein) = 24. 980, P = 0. 000; F_(mRNA) = 64. 490, P = 0. 000) and increased from 5 ng/mL β-NGF group through 50 ng/mL β-NGF group in comparison with 0 and 1 ng/mL β-NGF group (P ＜ 0. 05) . Conclusion The findings demonstrate the potential proliferative effect of β-NGF binding to trkA and p75 on HPF.

Objective:The regulatory effects of ethyl acetate extract of Herba Eclipta EAEE on immune function were studied.Methods: The experimental immunosuppressive models were induced by injection of Cyclophosphamide or hydrocortisonc.Results: The index of thymus gland spleen in immunosuppressive mice was increased significantly. when large and small dose of EAEEP were given. EAEE remarkably enhanced the delayed type hypersensitivity in immunosuppressive mice. Conclusions: EAEE possesses notable immunomodulatory action on immune system in mice.

Objective To analyze the pathogenic fungus distribution and the risk factors affecting the prognosis in patients with bloodstream infection critically ill sepsis in intensive care unitso as to provide evidence for clinical treatment. Methods From January 2008 to January 2015 , the clinic data of patients with severe sepsis and septic shock were retrospectively studied. The factors affecting the prognosiswere found out using a multivariate logistic regression analysis. Results From January 2008 to January 2015 , there were 870 bloodstream infection critically ill sepsis. Risk factors affecting the prognosis of critically ill sepsis patients were as follows: serum albumin, age, APACHEⅡ and procalcitonin. Conclusion Bloodstream infection critically ill sepsis in intensive care unit contributes a high motality. APACHEⅡ, age, blood lactate, procalcitonin , blood lactate and serum albumin are the risk factors affecting the prognosis of critically ill sepsis patients.
