Journal of Chinese Physician 2009;11(4):439-440
Objective To study the expression of CD4+, CD25+ regulatory T cells and its significance in carcinoma of stomach. Methods Flow cytometry was used to quantify and analyze the results of CD4+, CD25 + regulatory T cells and CD8+ T cells in 76 patients with gastric cancer. Results CD4+, CD25+ regulatory T cells expression in gastric cancer tissue, adjacent tissues and control group are (1.2±0.9) %, (6.4±1.1) % and (4.1±0.8) %. The results have statistical significance (P<0.05). CD8+ T cells markedly de-creased in gastric cancer tissue, while CD4+ , CD25+ regulatory T cells increased. But this manifest did not happen in adjacent tissues. Conclusion CD4+, CD25+ regulatory T cells suppress gastric cancer though inhibiting CD8+ T cells.

BACKGROUND: Adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADMSCs) can improve the liver function of rats with liver failure, which illustrates the important research value in the field of tissue engineering and cell transplantation.OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the therapeutic potential of human ADMSCs in heart failure rats and to discuss the possible biological mechanisms involved.METHODS: Heart failure rats were randomized into model and ADMSCs groups, which were given normal saline or DAPI-labeled human ADMSCs (3.0×106) via the tail vein. At 1, 3, 7 days after transplantation, we detected the biochemical indexes for liver function in rats. At 3 days after transplantation, the serum levels of cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor α and interleukin-10, were detected, the histomorphological changes in the liver were observed by hematoxylin-eosin staining, and the protein expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen was detected by western blot. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: We found that human ADMSCs could migrate to the liver and lung tissues in rats after the transplantation via the tail vein. At 1 and 3 days after transplantation, the levels of serum alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase were significantly reduced in the ADMSCs group as compared with the model group (P< 0.05); furthermore, the secretion of tumor necrosis factor α and interleukin-10 was significantly suppressed at 3 days after cell transplantation (P < 0.05). The results of hematoxylin-eosin staining indicated a significant improvement in liver degeneration and necrosis. The expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen protein in the ADMSCs group was significantly up-regulated compared with the model group. To conclude, human ADMSCs can inhibit the inflammatory reaction and up-regulate the expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen, to promote the regeneration of liver cells and he recovery of liver function.

Chinese Journal of Medical Aesthetics and Cosmetology 2015;21(1):26-28
Objective To explore the related pelvic floor anatomy to the pathological vaginal relaxation and key points of the vaginal tightening surgery. Methods The vaginal tightening surgery was performed in 24 cases of vaginal relaxation. The key points of this operation included levator ani muscle suturation and perineal body reconstruction, and anal sphincter reconstruction as in case of the muscle injury grade Ⅲ.Results The degree of levator ani muscle separation was positively correlated with that of vaginal relaxation in all the 24 cases.18 cases were followed up from 6 months to 2 years, and had no complications of rectovaginal fistula and infections. The average level of perineal body was increased from 2.3 cm to 3.5 cm.Vaginal length of 6 cm from vaginal orifice was proper with good tightness. The patients felt strong anal contraction, enhanced ability of vaginal tightening and improved quality of sex life. There were no more infections of genitourinary tract. Conclusions Through levator ani muscle suturation and perineal body reconstruction,it can get the vaginal tightening effect.

ObjectiveTo study the relationship between Human Cytomegalovirus (HCMV) infection and endothelial function disorder and its possible role in nonspecific low back pain (NLBP).MethodsHCMV-DNA, -IgM, -IgG, HE stain, endothelin (ET) were detected in 50 patients with NLBP and 36 healthy people without NLBP(non-NLBP group).ResultsThe positive rate of HCMV-DNA,-IgM,-IgG, HE stain were higher in NLBP group than that in non-NLBP group(P<0.05), as well as the levels of ET(P<0.05).ConclusionHCMV infection may relate with NLBP, and ET may play an important role in it.

Objective To study the relationship between umbilical cord leptin levels and fetal growth as well as neonatal birth weight. Methods One hundred and forty - two neonates selected from February 2009 to June 2013 in Shangqiu First People's Hospital according to the different gestational age and birth weight were divided into 3 groups. Group A included 44 cases(small for gestational age, birth weight below the average weight of the 10th percentile at the same gestational age),23 boy cases,21 girl cases;group B included 56 cases(appropriate for gestational age, birth weight at the average weight of the 10th to 90th percentile at the same gestational age),30 boy cases,26 girl cases;group C included 42 cases(large for gestational age, birth weight above the average weight of the 90th percentile at the same gestational age),22 boy cases,20 girl cases. Neonatal body mass index, birth weight, placenta weight and umbilical lep-tin levels of three groups were compared. Results Neonatal birth weight, neonatal body length, body mass index and the placenta weight leptin levels in group A were significantly lower than those of group B,having statistically significant difference(all P ﹤ 0. 001);Neonatal birth weight, neonatal body length, body mass index and the placenta weight leptin levels in group C were significantly higher than those in group B,with statistically significant difference( all P ﹤0. 001). Neonatal birth weight in the boy group was obviously higher than that of the girl group, and the difference was statistically significant(P ﹤ 0. 001). Neonatal leptin levels in the boy group were significantly lower than that of the girl group, and the difference was statistically significant(P ﹤ 0. 001). There were positive correlations between the umbili-cal cord leptin levels and the neonatal birth weight, neonatal length, neonatal weight index and the placenta weight(r =0. 382,0. 276,0. 358,0. 412,all P ﹤ 0. 01). Conclusions The umbilical cord leptin levels are closely associated with neonatal birth weight and intrauterine growth retardation, and it can be used as one of the important indicators for reflec-ting neonatal birth weight and fetal growth.

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2016;32(4):300-304
[Summary] Data from 1 589 consecutive inpatients with type 2 diabetes mellitus from January 2012 to March 2015 were collected. The patients were divided into five groups according to the quintile of HbA1C . The association between serum uric acid ( SUA) and HbA1C was tested using a general linear model after adjusting for age, body mass index ( BMI) , systolic blood pressure, and creatinine. Linear regression analysis was used to analyze the association between SUA and HbA1C in patients with HbA1C<9. 0% and HbA1C≥9. 0%, respectively. The results showed that BMI, waist circumference, triglycerides, and the incidence of fatty liver were elevated with increased serum uric acid level. SUA was negatively associated with HbA1C level in inpatients with type 2 diabetes. However, SUA should be measured after glycemic control in men with HbA1C≥7. 0% and women with HbA1C≥9. 0%.

Theacrine is one kind of natural purine alkaloids, which mainly exists in an unusual Chinese tea known as Kucha. It shows various biological activities, such as anti-depression, sedative and hypnotic effects and anti-inflammatory and analgesic activi-ties. The study on theacrine dates back to a few decades ago. According to the references published in recent years, the resource, preparation, characterization and pharmacological effects of theacrine were reviewed, and its application prospect was also explored.
