Objective To investigate the effects of hyperbaric oxygen on learning and memory ability in rats with a model of VPA autism and on the pyramidal cells in the CA1 region of the hippocampus.Methods An animal model of autism was established in the offspring of Wistar rats which had received a single intraperitoneal injection of sodium valproate at the 12.5th day of pregnancy.A total of 48 male VPA autism model rats were randomly divided into the hyperbaric oxygen group,a high pressure air group,a normal pressure high oxygen group and a normal pressure air group (each group with 12 rats).A normal control group was obtained by injecting physiological saline.The autism model rats of the hyperbaric oxygen group were treated with high pressure oxygen in an animal experiment cabin which was cleaned with pure oxygen for 10 min,pressurized for 15 min,held at 2.0 atmospheres absolute (ATA) for 45 min and then had the pressure relieved over 15 min.For the high pressure air group the cabin was pressurized with air for 15 min,held at 2.0 ATA for 45 min and the pressure was relieved over 15 min.For the normal pressure,high oxygen group the cabin was cleaned for 10 min with pure oxygen,then pure oxygen was supplied for 1 hour with the cabin door open.The normal pressure air group rats were placed in the open cabin with no pressure or additional oxygen.The testing lasted 7 days for 1 hour per day.The normal control group rats were placed in ordinary cages.Learning and memory were evaluated using the Y electric maze test before and after the interventions.Any changes in the pyramidal cells in the CA1 region of the hippocampus were observed after hematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining.Results The average number of tries of the hyperbaric oxygen group after treatment was significantly less than before treatment and memory retention times were increased.The number was also less in the normobaric hyperoxia group and memory retention times again improved.The number of apoptotic cells was reduced and the number of normal form cells in the CA1 region increased after the hyperbaric oxygen intervention.Conclusions The learning and memory abilities of the autistic rats improved after the hyperbaric oxygen intervention.Pyramidal cells in the CA1 region proliferated and the number of apoptotic cell decreased.This may be the mechanism by which hyperbaric oxygen intervention treats autism.

Objective:To observe the the effects of sustained-release coatings of HU-308 on the biological characteristics of rat oste-oblasts(ROBs)on Ti surface.Methods:The heparin/chitosan sustained release coatings containing HU-308 at different concentra-tions were prepared by layer-by-layer assembly technology on the alkali-and heat-treated Ti surface.The alkali-and heat-treated Ti samples were randomly divided into six groups,the samples in C group were used as control,in P group were treated by heparin/chi-tosan coatings and in T1,T2,T3 and T4 groups were treated by heparin/chitosan sustained-release coating containing HU-308 at dif-ferent concentrations.The adhesion,proliferation and ALP activity of ROBs cultured on the coatings were assessed at different times. Results:The adhesion,proliferation and ALP activity of ROBs of T4 group (the impregnating concentration of HU-308 was 0.025 mg/L)were the highest.Conclusion:The sustained-release coating with low concentration of HU-308 may improve the adhesion , proliferation and ALP activity of ROBs.

OBJECTIVE To discuss the management method of the Hospital OR Department to set up a highly cleaned and safe operating room (OR) environment to prevent nosocomial infection. METHODS As to the features of OR Department,the standardizd management of work process was reinforced. RESULTS The available resources in OR Department were made good use and infection control assured medical safety. CONCLUSIONS The setup and standardized management of Clean OR Department is in favor of the cleaniness of the OR Department and decreasing the infection rate.

OBJECTIVE To learn about the factors affecting the quality of the air in operating-rooms and discuss the methods of improving their air quality.METHODS The dynamic and static air bacteriology between laminar air flow operating-room and normal operating-room of a fertiary care level hospital of grade Ⅰ in Changchun were observed.RESULTS The passing rate of samples for air static bacteriology between two types of operating rooms at the begining of selective operations(T0) was without difference.At the begining of emergency operations,there was a disparity.The total number of bacteria in normal operating-room increased with the operating-time,but in the laminar flow operating-room,the total number of bacteria increased in fluctuations during the(T2) time(60 ming since operation begain),and descended dramatically during the(T3) time(90 min since operation).CONCLUSIONS The emergency and operation-time are the main factors affecting the air quality in operating-room and the cleaning air-condition could improve the air quality.

Objective To explore the expression of miR-221/222 in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and its correlation with clinical pathological parameters. Methods The clinical pathological data and formalin fixed-paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissues of 55 NSCLC patients and 10 benign lesion patients who underwent surgery in the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanhua University from February 2012 to May 2014 were collected and followed. The relationship between miR-221/222 expression detected by real-time PCR and clinical pathological parameters and progression-free survival (PFS) were analyzed. The differential survival between the high expression group and the low expression group of miR-221/222 were compared. A Cox proportional hazard regression model was utilized to examine the prognostic factors of NSCLC. Results The expression level of miR-221/222 was significantly higher in tumor tissues than that in corresponding benign lesion tissues (Fold change=3.52, P=0.000;Fold change=2.01, P=0.000). There was a negative correlation between miR-221/222 expression and pathological grades (r=-0.732, P=0.000;r=-0.451, P=0.001). The relative expression of miR-221 showed a positive correlation with miR-222 (r=0.376, P=0.000). Patients with higher levels of miR-221/222 were closely associated with a shorter PFS (miR-221: 55.43 weeks vs. 81.29 weeks, P=0.028; miR-222: 45.00 weeks vs. 87.04 weeks, P=0.008). Finally, multivariate analysis demonstrated that miR-222 expression was independently associated with poor PFS (RR=2.808, P=0.033). Conclusions miR-221/222 is highly expressed in NSCLC tumor tissues with a positive correlation. A negative correlation is observed between the expression of miR-221/222 and tumor differentiation. The potential high expression of miR-221/222 is considered as tumor biomarkers for the prognosis of NSCLC patients.

Objective To observe the effect of Xiaoxianxiong Decoction combined with metformin on glucose and lipid metabolism of phlegm-heat type 2 diabetic patients (T2DM). Methods Totally 104 phlegm-heat T2DM patients were randomly divided into two groups (each contains 52 cases), and given the diabetes lifestyle intervention. Control group additionally took 0.5 g metformin twice daily. And treatment group, besides taking 0.5 g metformin, was given Xiaoxianxiong Decoction, one dose and three times per day warmly. After 12 weeks, FBG, HbA1C, TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C, 2 hPG of the two groups were determined, and the therapeutic effect was evaluated. Results The total effective rate in the treatment group was 92.31%, and 76.92%in control group (P<0.01). The difference in symptom score, FBG, 2 hPG, TC, TG, HDL-C and LDL-C between the two group were significant, so as that between before and after treatment of both groups (P<0.05). Conclusion Xiaoxianxiong Decoction combined with metformin can effectively lower the levels of blood glucose and blood lipid in phlegm-heat T2DM patients, enhance the therapeutic effect and improve the metabolism of glucose and lipid.

Objective To analyze the correlation between blood lead,zinc levels and tic disorders(TD) in children.Methods One hundred and fourteen children with TD were chosen as observation group,and 100 healthy children were chosen as control group.The serum levels of lead and zinc were compared between the two groups,and the correlation between blood lead,zinc levels and TD was analyzed.Results The serum level of blood lead in the observation group was (70.8 ± 14.9) μg/L,which was higher than (50.9 ± 13.8),μg/L in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(t =4.932,P ＜ 0.05).The serum level of blood zinc in the observation group was (461.4 ±33.2)μg/L,which was lower than (501.5 ± 34.1)μg/L in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(t =5.217,P ＜ 0.05).The serum level of blood lead ≥60μg/L and the serum level of blood zinc ＜470μ g/L were significantly related with TD(OR =2.192,2.012,all P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion The blood lead and zinc levels are significantly correlated with TD in children.

Objective: To find out the prognostic influencing factors of patients undergoing continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) for refractory acute left heart failure. Methods: Through the medical system and hemodialysis system in Foshan First People's Hospital, all patients who received CRRT for refractory acute left ventricular heart failure from January 1, 2012 to January 1, 2019 were searched. All patients were divided into two groups by the final outcome: survival group and death group. Age, sex, initial mean arterial pressure (MAP), primary heart disease, use of vasoactive drugs, urine output before treatment, hemoglobin, serum creatinine, serum albumin, C-reactive protein(CRP), brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), cardiac ejection fraction (EF) and CRRT treatment time were analyzed to find out the prognostic influencing factors. Results: A total of 130 cases were collected, including 96 cases in the survival group and 34 cases in the death group, with a total mortality rate of 26.15%. Compared to that in the death group, there were higher proportion of males (71.88% vs 50.00%, χ²=5.366, P=0.021), significantly higher initial MAP (t=4.677, P<0.001), much more urine output before treatment (Z=3.904, P<0.001), significantly higher serum creatinine (Z=2.866, P=0.004) , significantly lower hemoglobin (Z=-2.587, P=0.011), significantly shorter time of CRRT (Z=-3.447, P=0.001) in the survival group. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that female (OR=2.950, 95%CI 1.102-7.898, P=0.031) and higher levels of hemoglobin (OR=1.024, 95%CI 1.004-1.045, P=0.019) were the risk factors of death in patients undergoing CRRT for refractory acute left heart failure, while higher levels of mean arterial pressure before treatment (OR=0.959, 95%CI 0.930-0.989, P=0.008) and urine volume before treatment (OR=0.998, 95%CI 0.997-0.999, P=0.004) were the protective factors for patients' prognosis. Conclusion The mortality of patients with refractory acute left heart failure undergoing CRRT therapy is still very high. Female and higher level of hemoglobin are the risk factors for death, while more urine volume before treatment and higher MAP before treatment are protective factors for survival.
