Objective To investigate the nursing of replantation methods of sea-water soaked rotated avulsion amputated fingers. Methods There were 8 cases (16 fingers) with sea-water soaked rotated avulsion amputated fingers.5 cases were replanted by synchronic replantation method, the other 3 cases were replanted by traditional replantation method. We adopted complete debridement and high quality vascular anastomosis during the operation, and give hyperbaric oxygen therapy and anticoagulant treatment post-operation.Results There were 15 survival fingers in 16 replanted fingers. The survival rate was 93.75%.After follow-up for three months to two years, the total good rate was 87.5%.No wound infection and nonunion of fracture occurred. The outline of the fingers was satisfying and patients felt well. The twopoint discrimination was 3~6 mm after 3~24 months follow-up.Conclusions The injury of sea-water soaked rotated avulsion amputated fingers is complicated and the replantation operation is difficult.but if we can adopt individual measure according to the actual circumstance,it is possible that the sea-water soaked rotated avulsion amputated fingers can survive.

Objective To explore the effect of endoscopic sinus surgery combined with postoperative nasal irrigation on the symptoms improvement and prognosis for patients with allergic fungal sinusitis. Methods The clinical data of 145 patients with allergic fungal sinusitis who had received treatment in our hospital from January 2010 and January 2014 were reviewed.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into two groups,65 cases in the control group was treated with conventional surgical treatment,80 cases in the obeservation group was treated with endoscopic sinus surgery combined with postoperative treatment. The therapeutic conditions of two groups were compared. Results The symptom scores of patients with polyps, edema, rhinorrhea in two groups were decreased compared with those before treatment, and the obeservation group decreased more significantly (P <0.05,P <0.01).After the operation, patients with nasal mucociliary transport rate of two groups were higher compared with postoperative 6 months and 9 months, and the obeservation group improved more significantly (P <0.05).In addition, two groups of postoperative SNOT-20 scores (physiological problems, limitations and affective outcomes)treatment were lower than those before, and the obeservation group decreased significantly than that of the control group (P <0.05,P <0.01).Con-clusion Endoscopic sinus surgery combined with postoperative nasal irrigation can effectively alleviate the symptoms and improve the prog-nosis in the treatment of allergic fungal sinusitis.

Objective To describe an ideal technique to repair full-thickness lower lid marginal defects in a one-stage procedure. Methods The buccal rotation flap and the nasal septal chondromucosal flap were used in one-stage operation to repair full-thickness lower eyelid defect. Results Eleven patients including 6 male patients and 5 female patients underwent lower eyelid reconstruction since January 2000.The age ranged from 29 to 64 years with average 43. Seven patients with full-thickness lower eyelid defect were caused by basal cell carcinoma excision, while four patients were caused by trauma. All the fullthickness lower eyelid defects were reconstructed by using the buccal rotation flap and the nasal septal chondromucosal flap in one-stage operation. All the flaps survived completely after operation. There were no other complications excepting that two patients developed to mild lower eyelid retration after six months. Conclusion The technique consisting of the buccal rotation flap and the nasal septal chondromucosal flap is a simple and useful alternative procedure to close full-thickness defects in the lower eyelid.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2004;21(2):288-291
This paper introduces the basic structure, operation principle as well as shimming method of an active shimming system, which was developed for 0.2T open-style permanent magnet MRI. In the end, a group of spin-echo images (T1 weighted and T2 weighted) produced by the 0.2T MRI are given to demonstrate the satisfactory shimming performance of this active shimming system.

AIM: To study the effects of hypertonic NaCl-NaAc on microcirculation in hemorrhage-shocked rats.METHODS: SD rats were randomized into three groups of 7 5% NaCl(hypertonic saline, HS),5% NaCl-3 5% NaAc(hypertonic sodium acetate, HSA) and 0 9% NaCl(normal saline, NS) 4 mL/kg HS,HSA or NS was given intravenously following hemorrhagic shock The microcirculation of spinotrapezius muscle was observed RESULTS: HS increased mean aortic pressure more significant than HSA Variables including arteriolar and venular diameter, velocity and volumetric flow rate and open capillaries were increased and erythrocyte aggregation was decreased in 5 min after resuscitation with both HS and HSA solutions 5 min later, variables were deteriorated in HS group After local treatment, arteriolar and venular diameters were dilated significantly in HSA group CONCLUSION:HSA had superior effects to HS in improving microcirculation of hemorrhage-shocked rats

Objective To identify proteomic biomarkers in serum samples and to construct a pro-teomic model for diagnosis of anti-SSA and anti-SSB negative primary Sj?gren′s syndrome ( pSS) .Methods Serum proteomic spectra were generated by using matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS) in combination with weak cation exchange (WCX) magnetic beads. The proteomic data were analyzed by Ciphergen ProteinChip and BioMarker Wizard software .The protein peaks were further analyzed by Biomarker Patterns Software to screen the representative proteomic biomark -ers, which were to be used to construct a decision tree model for the diagnosis of anti -SSA and anti-SSB neg-ative pSS.Results Ten mass-to-charge (m/z) peaks with significant difference were identified among sub-jects with antibody-negative pSS and antibody-positive pSS (P<0.05).Among them, the protein peaks with the m/z value of 6625 .004 and 27993 .280 were selected as potential biomarkers to construct the diag-nostic decision tree model .The sensitivity and specificity of the model were 77.8%and 90.9%respectively as indicated by a double blind study .Conclusion The potential protein biomarkers for seronegative pSS could be identified by MALDI-TOF-MS in combination with WCX magnetic beads .A proteomic model for the diagnosis of seronegative pSS was successfully constructed with an advantage of good sensibility and specifici -ty based on the protein peaks with m/z value of 6625 .004 and 27993 .280 .

Epilepsy is one of the most common and disabling chronic neurological diseases. About 70% of patients with epilepsy can be fully controlled by available anti-seizure medications, while the remaining 20%-30% are drug-resistant. Drug-resistant epilepsy is also known as refractory epilepsy, and refractory epilepsy usually requires a combination of anti-seizure medications. A reasonable combination of anti-seizure medications can reduce the frequency or even the freedom of seizures. To this end, this article summarized the general principles of anti-seizure medications combination therapy, tolerance and drug interaction, combination and synergism in human studies, and the application of non-ionic anti-seizure medications in combination therapy of refractory epilepsy by reviewing the literature, to improve clinicians′ understanding of combination therapy with anti-seizure medications for refractory epilepsy.
