Objective To evaluate the value of DSA image mosaic in arteriography in lower extremities. Methods 22 suspected cases were examined by bolus chase, and then the images were mosaiced to a full picture after processing by Paste to judge the image effects of vessels. Results This method could display the whole image by one injection of contrast media. Vary lesions were found in the 22 cases. Conclusion This method can display the lower extremities lesions directly, which is better than traditional DSA.

Objective To compare the safety and efficiency of non -ionic monomer diagnostic opaque, iodixanol (Visipaque) and that of non -ionic disomer diagnostic opaque, iohexol (Omnipaque). Methods By comparing retrospectively the DSA opacification of 60 patients from 2006 to 2007, patients′ indispositions, adverse reactions and pictorial efficiency were recorded respectively. Results In the control group, iodixanol showed less indisposition caused by injection than iohexol and there′ s no obvious difference of indisposition. Both images met diagnostic requirements. Conclusion Both iodixanol and iohexol are safe, efficient and well -tolerant diagnostic opaque. Iodixanol is better than iohexol in indisposition caused by injection.

Objective To study the inhibition of HCV IRES mediated HCV core protein expression in cells by inhibitor RNA. Methods Plasmid pcRz-IRNA, a eukaryotic expression vector with IRNA and two self cleavage ribozyme overhang at both sides respectively, was constructed and co-transfected with pcHCVcluc (containing HCV NCR, core and Luc genome) into the HHCC cell line (Human Hepatocellular Carcinoma cell line). Immunoflurescence tests were applied to detect the co-transfected cells, which were thereafter analysed with confocal microscope quantitatively. Luciferase activity was valued using Luc Assay System (Promega). Results The cotransfected cells expressed HCV core protein, and the fluorecein in which was reduced significantly in comparison with control. Conclusions IRNA can inhibit the expression of HCV IRES mediated core protein in the cotransfected cells.

Objective To investigate the effect of aliskiren on type 2 diabetic nephropathy in db/db mice.Methods Eight-week old db/db and db/m mice were subjected to right nephrectomy to hasten the development of diabetic nephropathy.At age of 16 weeks,they were divided into four groups:db/m group (normal control),db/db group ( diabetic control),db/db+ A3 group (db/db mice treated with aliskiren 3 mg·kg-1d-1) and db/db+A25 group (db/db mice treated with aliskiren 25 mg kg-1 d-1).Body weight,blood glucose,glycosylated hemoglobin,proteinuria and systolic blood pressure were measured before and after treatment.After treatment,renal histological examination by PAS staining,TGF-β1 and PAI-1 protein by ELISA,expression of ColⅣ and FN protein by immunofluorescence,mRNA expression of TGF-β1,PAI-1,ColⅣ,FN and renin by real time PCR,renin activity and angiotensin Ⅱ level by radioimmunoassay were performed.Results Treatment for 4 weeks of aliskiren at a dose of 25 mg kg-1 d-1 markedly decreased urinary albumin excretion,glomerulosclerosis and suppressed synthesis of TGF-β1,PAI-1,Col Ⅳ,FN without inducing significantl change in systolic blood pressure,compared to those of db/db group (all P＜0.05).Aliskiren also suppressed renin activity and angiotensin Ⅱ level in renal cortex (all P＜0.05).Conclusion Aliskiren protects against type 2 diabetic nephropathy.

Objective To investigate the effects of cognitive therapy combined with picture recognition training on depression after stroke (PSD).Methods Sixty patients with PSD after cerebral infarction were randomized into study and control groups.All accepted routine rehabilitation therapy.In addition,the study group accepted cognitive therapy combined with picture recognition training.The effects were assessed in terms of average reaction time and accuracy in picture recognition,and using the Hamilton depression rating scales (HAMDs) and the Barthel index (BI) before and after 4 weeks of treatment.Results The average reaction time and accuracy in picture recognition and the HAMD and BI scores improved significantly in both groups.The effects in the study group were significantly better than those of the control group.Conclusion Cognitive therapy combined with picture recognition training can alleviate depression symptoms and improve ability in the activities of daily living after stroke.

Objective: To study the pathophysiological role of tumor necrosis factor ? (TNF ?) and interleukin6 (IL 6) in trauma by assaying concentration of TNF ? in blood after maxillofacial gunshot wounds in dogs. Methods: Before and after gunshot wounds, concentration of TNF ? and IL 6 in the plasma of dogs were assessed by ELISA method at different times. Results: Although the systemic injuries in our gunshot wound model were no very severe and the dogs had no severe complications, the TNF ? concentration in plasma became significantly higher in the first 2 6 h after the gunshot wounds. They varied greatly with each dog and became normal after 10 h without treatment. IL 6 was not detected in blood. Conclusion: TNF ? expression in blood after gunshot wounds is the normal host immune response to the trauma, its circulating concentrations might be associated with the injury severity. But their transient expressions do not significantly increase the severity of the trauma. [

Objective:To describe our diagnostic and therapeutic experience of patients with urinary tract endometriosis.Methods:We performed a retrospective analysis of 22 cases of urinary tract endometriosis with histopathological results from 2001 to 2007.Results:The mean patient age was 36.0 years.Of the 22 patients,4 had bladder involvement and 18 ureteral involvement.In those with bladder endometriosis,the diagnosis was made by cystoscopy and biopsy in 4 patients.The treatments consisted of partial cystectomy in 3 patients and transurethral resection of the bladder in 1 patient.One of the patients who underwent transurethral resection of the bladder experienced 1 relapse.The relapse was treated with partial cystectomy.In the patients with ureteral endometriosis,the diagnosis was mainly established by ultrasound(18 cases),intravenous urography(11 cases),retrograde pyelography(7 cases),CT(14 cases) and MRI(5 cases).The treatments consisted of ureterolysis in 1 patient,ureteroneocystostomy in 4,and ureteral resection and end-to-end anastomosis in 13 of them.All the patients pathologic results were of endome-triosis.Conclusion:Urinary tract endometriosis is an uncommon disease.Partial cystectomy should be considered as the therapeutic option for bladder endometriosis.For cases of ureteral endome-triosis,the first technique depends on the location,extent and depth of the lesion.
