1.Simultaneous Determination of 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural and Nine Kinds of Phenolic Compounds in Rice Wine Using High Performance Liquid Chromatography
Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry 2010;38(1):133-137
An analytical method of reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) was developed for simultaneous determination of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural and nine phenolic compounds (including (+)-catechin, (-)-epicatechin, chlorogenic acid, rutin, caffeic acid, protocatechuic acid, syringic acid, ferulic acid and p-coumaric acid) in 20 min.Ten components were detected and separated successfully by Diamonsil C_(18) column (150 mm x4.6 mm, 5 μm) at wavelength of 280 nm and column temperature of 42 ℃, with acetonitrile and 3% acetic acid solution as the mobile phase in gradient elution. The resultant correlation coefficients of the ten compounds were between 0.9911 and 0.9995 with detection limit from 0.2 to 0.5 mg/L, the RSD less than 2.4% and the average recoveries from 89.4% to 98.3%.These experimental results demonstrate that 5-hydroxymethylfurfural and the nine phenolic compounds in different rice wine samples can be determined with the new method for practical uses.

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic role of the color Doppler flow image(CDFI) in malfunction of lower extremity perforator vein. Methods Using color Doppler flow image method,60 lower extremities were ex-amined,and compared with the results of the lower extremity vein angiography, then assessed the accuracy of CDFI method. Results 212 lower extremity perforator veins of malfunction were found, and compared with results of the lower extremity vein angiography, the sensitivity of CDFI method is 91.1%, the specificity of CDFI method is 85.8 % ,the accuracy of CDFI method is 91.9 %. Conclusion CDFI is useful for the diagnosis of malfunction of lower extremity perforator vein and can offer reliable bases to clinical operation.

[Objective]To report the clinical results of free medical leg flap containing posterior tibial vessels (FMLFPTV) in repairing of serious limb trauma caused by high-energy in children and discuss the flap's unique superiorities.[Method]From Jan.1999 to Mar.2006,FMLFPTV were obtained under tourniquet and applied in ten children suffered from serious limb and extremity injuries complicated by soft tissue defects, meanwhile, vessels and nerves were repaired with the flaps' corresponding tissues, moreover, broken bones and tendons were reconstructed.[Result]Average blood loss was 183ml and mean operative time was 208 min.All flaps were transplanted successfully with excellent results including satisfactory limb appearance.Follow-up ranged 14 to 67 months (averaged 35 months).Sensation has recovered to more than S3 in all cases. In those who were treated with this innervated flap to repair defects of weight-bearing area of sole,no sore or ulcer occurred and normal gait recovered.Bone union took 4~9 months(averaged 6.7 months).Through investigation forms filled by parents and clinical examination,no blood supply problem or morbidity was discovered in donor limbs.[Conclusion]FMLFPTV is easy to dissect under tourniquets with relative short operative time and less blood lost which especially benefits children. The flap is thin and has almost necessary related tissues for all reconstructive needs, for example,to bridge vessel and nerve defects, and offer excellent results. It is an easy and reliable method.

Orthopedic Journal of China 2006;0(24):-
[Objective]To report the clinical results of immediate reconstruction of open grade Ⅲ long bone fractures caused by high-energy.[Method]From Jan.2001 to Jul.2006,vascular flaps were applied in 29 patients suffering from massive limb trauma, complicated by Gustilo grade-Ⅲ open fractures(11 were type B,and 18 type C) and massive soft tissue defects, caused by high-energy,through an emergency procedure.Meanwhile, vessels and nerves were repaired, broken bones and tendons were reconstructed. The mean MESS(Mangled extremity severity score) score was 6.27(6.27?2.43).[Result]All limbs were salvaged and all the flaps survived without protracted course to obtain soft tissue coverage. The mean hospital stay was 23 days(12-67 days) and the follow-up ranged 14 to 58 months(mean 26 months). No severe complication occurred, including wound infection, bone nonunion, necrosis and morbidity. The ultimate functional results of the salvaged limbs were at least better than artificial limbs.[Conclusion]The immediate reconstruction of severely injured limbs complicated by Gustilo type Ⅲ fractures caused by high energy has the advantages over traditional methods. This technique enables controlling bone, soft tissue and other problems together through an emergency procedure with a relatively shortened in-hospital stay and less fibrosis, thereby favoring the functional outcome.Early wound healing favors antibiotic diffusion and local blood supply. It may be an alternative for fast fixation and better bone healing.

Objective To explore the effect of acupoint injection of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs)on hemodynamics of rat model with acute myocardial infarction(AMI). Methods Sixty Sprague-Dawley (SD)rats were randomly divided into sham group, model group, myocardium injection BMSCs group and acupoint injection BMSCs group(each n=15). The left anterior descending coronary artery(LAD)was ligated to establish a rat model of AMI. After the rat model was successfully established for 72 hours,0.2 ml BMSCs(1×1010/L)were transplanted by a micro-quantity syringe at 6 points in equal amount in the LAD blood-supply area and its periphery in the myocardial injection group, while in the acupoint injection group,0.3 ml BMSCs(1×1010/L)was transplanted at each of the following acupoints:Xinshu,Zhiyang and Tanzhong. Four weeks after AMI,polyethylene tubing was inserted into the right carotid artery to measure the hemodynamics,at the same time animals were sacrificed, and the heart was take out to calculate the heart mass index(HMI)and left ventricular mass index(LVMI). Results One, 3,5 and 4 rats were respectively dead in the sham group, model group, myocardium injection group, and acupoint injection group during the experimental period. Compared with the sham group, the left ventricular systolic pressure (LVSP,mm Hg,1 mm Hg=0.133 kPa),the maximum rate of increase of left ventricular pressure(+dp/dt max, mm Hg/s), the maximum rate of decrease of left ventricular pressure(-dp/dt max,mm Hg/s), the maximum logarithmic change rate of left ventricular pressure〔(dp/dt)?P-1max,s-1〕,HMI(mg/g),LVMI were significantly decreased, and left ventricular end-diastolic pressure(LVEDP,mm Hg),heart rate(HR,bpm)were obviously increased in model group(all P<0.05). Compared with the model group, the LVSP,+dp/dt max,-dp/dt max, (dp/dt)?P-1max, HMI,LVMI were significantly increased in myocardial injection group and acupoint injection group〔LVSP:130.38±14.96,124.36±14.36 vs. 114.36±12.71,+dp/dt max:4707.52±394.36,4597.14±411.05 vs. 3791.43±327.29,-dp/dt max:4075.11±317.89,3938.05±373.76 vs. 3116.32±275.04,(dp/dt)?P-1max:215.26±21.29,197.39±18.96 vs. 155.93±25.14〕,and the LVEDP and HR were significantly decreased(LVEDP:5.15±2.39,5.64±1.96 vs. 10.58±2.49,HR:400.50±42.58,395.55±44.62 vs. 414.51±35.75,all P<0.05). There were no significant differences in above indexes between myocardium injection group and acupoint injection group. Conclusion Acupoint injection of BMSCs can improve the heart function of rat model with AMI.
