Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of mother-child reinforcing-reducing acupoint combination in treating migraine of liver yang hyperactivity type.Methods Forty patients with migraine of liver yang hyperactivity type were randomly allocated to treatment and control groups, 20 cases each. The treatment group received acupuncture by mother-child reinforcing-reducing acupoint combination and the control group, acupuncture with conventional acupoint combination. Headache symptoms were scored in the two groups before and after treatment. The clinical therapeutic effects were compared between the two groups.Results There was a statistically significant pre-/post-treatment difference in the headache symptom score in the two groups (P<0.05). There was a statistically significant difference in pre-/post-treatment headache symptom score difference value between the treatment and control groups (P<0.05). The total efficacy rate and the cure and marked efficacy rate were 90.0% and 75.0%, respectively, in the treatment group and 85.0% and 35.0%, respectively, in the control group. There was a statistically significant difference in the cure and marked efficacy rate between the two groups (P<0.05).Conclusion Mother-child reinforcing-reducing acupoint combination is an effective way to treat migraine of liver yang hyperactivity type.

Objective To investigate the alteration in intercellular adhesion molecule (ICAM)-l mRNA expression on the surface of human vascular endothelial cells (HUVECs) induced by LPS stimulation and the effects of hypertonic-hyperoncotic solution (HHS) . Methods HUVECs were enzymatically isolated and cultured in RPMI 1640 culture medium at 37℃ for about 7 days when a monolayer of endothelial cells has grown. The primarily cultured HUVECs were mixed with LPS 100ng/ml and incubated at 37℃ for 30min, 1,4,8, 12and 24 h. 10%NaCl and 10% hydroxyethyl starch (Fresenius) were added to RPMI 1640culture medium. The HHS concentrations were 0.25% and 0.5% respectively. HUVECs were first incubated with either HHS (0.25% , 0.5% ) or isotonic solution for 10 min, 1h and 4h and then stimulated by LPS for 4h. The ICAM-1 mRNA was measured by reverse transcriptase-PCR. Results There was slight expression of ICAM-1 mRNA on the surface of HUVECs in normal condition. Objective To investigate the effect of hypertonic-hyperoncotic solution (HHS) on CD11b expression on the surface of human neutrophils which are stimulated by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in vitro. Methods Neutrophils were isolated from fresh peripheral venous blood of healthy volunteers aged 20-4oyr find incubated with LPS 100 ng/ml al 37℃ in 5% CO2 incubator for 15, 30, 60min, 4, 12 or 24h. OBJECTIVETo compare the efficacy differences in the treatment of somatoform pain disorder between resuscitation and tranquilization acupuncture technique and oral administration of deanxit.

METHODSForty cases of somatoform pain disorder (complicated with mild and moderate depression) were randomized into an acupuncture group and a western medication group, 20 cases in each one. In the acupuncture group. acupuncture was applied to Shenting (GV 24). Shuigou (V 26). Sishencong (EX HN I) to Baihui ((V 20) (penetrating technique). Feng-chi (GB 20). etc. The treatment was given once every day. 6 times a week. In the western medication group. the anti depression drug. deanxit was prescribed for oral administration, 1 tablet in every morning and lunchtime each day. In 8 weeks of continuous treatment, the visual analogue scale (VAS) and Hamilton depression scale 17 items (HAMD) were used to evaluate the efficacy in the patients of the two groups, the adverse reactions were observed and the recurrence rate was followed up in 3 months.

RESULTSAfter treatment. VAS and HIIAMD scores were all apparently reduced as compared with those before treatment in the patients of the two groups (all P<0.05). The reducing amplitude of VAS score in the acupuncture group was greater than that in the western medication group (P<0.05) and that of HAM) score was not different significantly as compared with that in the western mnedica tion group (P > 0.05). There was no adverse reaction in the acupuncture group and were 3 cases as dizziness, trembling. dry mouth and constipation in the western medication group. The curative and remarkably effective rate was 50.0 (10(20)) in the acupuncture group, better than 15.0% (3/20) in the western medication group (P<0.05). The recurrence rate was 10.0 (2/20) in the acupuncture group. lower than 35.0% (7/20) in the western medication group (P<0.05).

CONCLUSIONThe resuscitation and tranquilization acupuncture technique achieves the definite efficacy on somatoform pain disorder, relieves depression symptoms of patients, especially pain and reduces adverse reactions and recurrence rate. The effects of this therapy are advanced as compared with deanxit.

Objective To explore the clinical effect and safety of Wenxin granule combined with metoprolol on arrhythmia in elderly patients with coronary heart disease (CHD).Methods 186 elderly CHD patients with arrhythmia were divided into 3 groups according to therapy:group A (n=62,treated with Wenxin granule),group B (n=60,treated with metoprolol) and group C (n=64,treated with Wenxin granule plus metoprolol).Clinical effect and adverse effect were retrospectively analyzed.Results The excellence rate and total efficiency rate were higher in group C than group A andB [53.1％ (34 cases) vs.32.3％ (20 cases),30.0％ (18 cases); 93.8％ (60 cases) vs.40.3％ (25 cases),40.0％ (24 cases) ; respectively,all P＜0.05].There were no significant differences in the incidence of adverse effect in the 3 groups [4.8％ (3/62),8.3％ (5/60) vs.8.3％ (5/64),all P ＞0.05].Conclusions Wenxin granule combined with metoprolol improves clinical effect,decreases premature beat and has a better safety for elderly CHD patients with arrhythmia,which is worthy of clinical application.

Objective To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of low dose fentanyl combined to ropivacaine in subarachnoid block for cesarean section.Methods Eighty patients with ASA physical status Ⅰ and Ⅱscheduled to undergo cesarean section for delivery were randomly allocated to receiving spinally mixture none fentanyl ( group R),5 μg fentanyl ( group F5 ), 10 μg fentanyl ( group F10 ), and 15μg fentanyl ( group F15 ), combined with 1%ropivacaine 1 ml and 10% glucose 1 ml respectively,after combined spinal-epidural anesthesia puncture was applied at the L2～3 interspace.Heart rate, blood pressure, the onset and recovery time of the sensory and motor block,time to the highest level and the highest level of sensory block, time to the maximal extent and the maximal extent of the motor block were recorded at regular intervals.The adverse effects were sought during and after surgery.Neonatal outcome was assessed using Apgar score.Results The recovery of sensory block was prolonged significantly in group F10 and group F15 than in group R and group F5.Conclusion Ropivacaine with 10μg fentanyl is safe and effective in subarachnoid block for cesarean section.

Objective To discuss the relationship between serum uric acid (SUA) and the metabolic components in metabolic syndrome(MS) .Methods 147 female cases of MS aged >60 year old were divided into MS Ⅰ group ,MSⅡ group and MS Ⅲgroup according to numbers of metabolic components ,and the levels of SUA were compared among the three groups .These patients were also subdivided into 4 groups according to the SUA levels by the quartile division ,and the differences of the metabolic compo-nents were compared among the 4 groups .The relationship between SUA and various metabolic components of MS was analyzed by Logistic regression analysis .Results The SUA level had statistical difference among the MS Ⅰ group ,MSⅡ group and MS Ⅲgroup(P<0 .05);the four SUA intervals of q25(< 44 .31 mg/L) ,q50(44 .31 -53 .24 mg/L) ,q75(>53 .24 -62 .68 mg/L) and q100(>62 .68 mg/L) showed significant differences in waistline ,SBP ,DBP ,TG ,HDL-C and FPG(P<0 .05) .Compared with the SUA interval of <44 .31 mg/L ,the occurrence risk of MS in the SUA intervals of (44 .31-53 .24) ,> (53 .24-62 .68) and >62 .68 mg/L were 1 .87(95% CI1 .35-2 .59) ,2 .71(95% CI 1 .88 -3 .91) and 4 .88(95% CI 3 .12 -7 .63) ,respectively .Waistline(OR=2 .56 ,95% CI 1 .52-4 .31) ,TG(OR=2 .21 ,95% CI 1 .63-3 .00) ,SBP(OR=1 .68 ,95% CI 1 .33-2 .12) ,DBP(OR=1 .84 ,95% CI 1 .41-2 .40) ,FPG(OR=2 .16 ,95% CI 1 .68-2 .78) and numbers of metabolic components (OR=2 .87 ,95% CI 1 .89-4 .36) were the risk factors for SUA ,and the HDL-C was the protective factor(OR=0 .48 ,95% CI 0 .29-0 .79) .Conclusion There may be in-teraction between SUA and the metabolic components of MS .
