Objective: To investigate the expression of Cyclin E in colorectal carcinoma and its significance.Methods: The Cyclin E expression and the cell proliferation(PI,SPF)in 30 cases of colorectal carcinomas (including tumors and normal tissues distant to the tumors)were respectively assayed with Flow Cytometry (FCM), and the relationships between the Cyclin E expressive rate and clinical pathologic features were compared. Correlaction between the Cyclin E expressive rate and the cell proliferation(PI, SPF) was analyzed too.Results: The Cyclin E positive rate and the cell proliferation in colorectal carcinoma were significantly higher than those of the distal normal tissues. As for the Cyclin E positive rate and the cell proliferation,no significant differences were found among the subgroups divided according to malignance, lymphatic metastasis and the site of tumor. There was a significant correlation between the Cyclin E positive rate and the cell proliferation.Conclusion: The Cyclin E overexpression plays an important role in the onset of colorectal carcinoma.The Cyclin E expressive rate is not consistent with the general clinical pathologic features,but with the cell proliferation. The Cyclin E expressive rate may be one of the potential prognostic indicators in coloretal carcinoma.

ObjectiveTo discuss the clinical efficacy of hyperextension reduction with percutaneous kyphoplasty in treatment for osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture.MethodsTwenty-three patients with 23 vertebral compression fractures underwent hyperextension reduction with percutaneous kyphoplasty from September 2010 to October 2011.The vasual analogue scale(VAS) score and complications were recorded during followed up.Results All cases were successfully experienced the procedure using unilateral or bilateral percutaneous pedicle underwent hyperextension reduction.The operation time was (75 ± 45) minutes,the mean volume of cement injected into each vertebral body was(4.9 ± 1.9) ml.All patients had successful intervention without spinal cord injury,pulmonary embolism.Followed up(7.5 ± 6.5 ) months,the symptoms of the patients were improved,preoperative VAS score was (7.5 ± 0.7 ) scores,reduced to (3.4 ±0.4) scores at day 1 postoperatively,(2.7 ±0.5) scores at day 7 postoperatively and (2.3 ±0.5) scores at month 1 postoperatively,there was significant difference between preoperative and postoperative (P＜ 0.05).ConclusionsApplication of hyperextension reduction with percutaneous kyphoplasty can relieve pain and restore the vertebral body height,it may be an effective treatment method for patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture.

Objective: To explore the way of innovation and development of the pattern and means in nursing management in military hospital.Methods:Through various innovative practice from the following aspects,such as nursing service philosophy and measures for soldiers,the methods of nursing management and the elite-cultivating,nursing security management,which demonstrates the availability of innovation and development of the pattern and means in nursing management in military hospital.Results:The satisfactory rate of nursing service reached up to 99% in the examination of serving for soldiers of the whole army.The instruments which are manufactured for battle-scarred wounds and injuries use the flat of the Wound Nursing Centre,have reached the stage of clinical trial,we have completed five items of serial nursing research.The control rate of nursing quality of the whole hospital increased from 93.12% in 2003 to 98.9% in 2006,the satisfactory ratio of serious in-patient increased from 90.2% in 2003 to 96.7% in 2005.The ratio of health education achieves 100%.The satisfactory ratio of in-patient was 98.4% in September 2005,compared with 89.3% in February 2004.Conclusion:Only innovation can make nursing management develop and improve in military hospital.

Objective To introduce a new method for correcting prominent malar complex deformity. Methods Through an intraoral incision, the highest area of zygomatic body marked preoperatively was grinded. Then an L shape incomplete osteotomy of the zygomatic body was performed with a reciprocating saw, and a complete osteotomy just 1 cm anterior to the articular tubercle of the zygomatic arch was made. Light pressure on the posterior part of the arch produced a greenstick fracture of the anterior osteotomy site, resulting in posterior-inward repositioning of the malar complex. Internal fixation was unnecessary. Results Operative procedures for reductive malar complex plasty were performed in 650 cases, which included 60 males and 590 females whose age ranged from 19 to 39 years.Incisions of all cases healed well. One case had maxillary sinusitis 2 weeks postoperatively, and recovered after 1 week by using antibiotics and drainage. There was 1 case with skin necrosis about 1 cm in diameter in the area of zygomatic body because of local liposuction, and the wound was healed by changing dressing. The forehead wrinkle of one side had disappeared in 1 case 1 week postoperatively, but had recovered 2 weeks later. Postoperative follow-up for 2-24 months showed satisfactory results.Conclusions This modified method has many advantages, such as simplicity, without internal fixation, short operation and recovery time, and little complications. The authors conclude that this technique is an effective and safe method of reduction malarplasty.

Objective To evaluate the application of transrectal ultrasound elastography (TRE) in the detection of prostate cancer(PCa).Methods One hundred and eighteen patients with suspected PCa were enrolled in this study.Each patient underwent transrectal ultrasound (TRUS), TRE and sonography guided prostatic biopsy on the same day.The accuracy rate of PCa detection using TRE were compared with the pathology results.Results Patients with PCa were detected in 62 of the 118 patients,including 48 cases by TRE and 38 cases by TRUS.The sensitivity for TRE (73.6％) was significantly higher than that of TRUS (52.8％) in periurethral zone(P ＜0.05).The sensitivity and specificity for strain ratio(SR) in predicting PCa were 85.7％ and 67.7％ respectively(cut off value：3.6,area under the curve 0.8, P ＜0.01,95％CI [0.68 - 0.92]).Conclusions TRE can detect PCa in the periurethral zone with good accuracy and has potential to increase ultrasound-based PCa detection rate.

BACKGROUND: Whether the differences exist between adipose-derived stem cells isolated from different parts of rats when cultured in vitro has been poorly understood. OBJECTIVE: To compare the growth characteristics and adipogenic ability of adipose-derived stem cells isolated from different parts of rats. METHODS: Freshly isolated adipose-derived stem cells were obtained from 5 mL inguinal groove and greater omentum adipose tissue of F344 rats using type Ⅰ col agenase digestion method. Then, adipose-derived stem cells were counted and cultured in vitro. Morphological and growth characteristics of adipose-derived stem cells derived from the two sites were observed. 3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay was utilized to examine the doubling time of adipose-derived stem cells from different parts. The passage 2 adipose-derived stem cells were induced adipogenical y. Fourteen days after being induced, the differentiated cells were stained with oil red O and the positive cells were counted. The adipogenic differentiation ability of adipose-derived stem cells from the different parts was assessed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) The number of adipose-derived stem cells from the greater omentum fat tissue in the same group was (281±10)×107/L, which was significantly higher than that from the inguinal groove fat tissue [(85±10)×107/L] (P < 0.01). Adipose-derived stem cells from the greater omentum and inguinal groove fat tissue achieved the exponential growth period on days 5 and 6, respectively, and achieved the platform period on days 9 and 10, respectively. The corresponding doubling time was 50 hours and 60 hours, respectively. After being passaged, adipose-derived stem cells grew in fibroblast-like shape actively. The adipogenic differentiation rate of adipose-derived stem cells from the greater omentum fat tissue was higher than that from the inguinal groove fat tissue [(38.90±2.86)% vs. (35.30±3.29)%, P < 0.01]. This shows that the number and the adipogenic differentiation ability of adipose-derived stem cells from different parts of the same F344 rat are different.

Objective To assess the therapeutic efficacy of colonic tumor with targeted microbubbles encapsulated VEGFR2 monoantibody (mAb) combined with ultrasonic abrupted destroy.Methods Seventeen Balb/C nude mice with subcutaneous colonic carcinoma xenografts were divided into three groups:group A (5 mice) underwent contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) examination and sham ultrasonic abrupted destroy;group B (6 mice) underwent lipid-microbubbles administration combined with ultrasonic irradiation;group C (6 mice) underwent VEGFR2 monoantibody-loaded microbubbles injection combined with ultrasonic irradiation.Red fluorescent protein(RFP) was labeled to all the nude mice model.Both CEUS and flurography were performed before and one week after abrupted destroy.The size,fluroscent area and fluroscent intensity(FI) and vessel density (VD) of each tumor were measured and compared.Results The parameters of length,fluroseent area,FI and VD of each tumor before abrupted destroy were no significant difference among three groups ( P ＞0.05).Parameters of post-sham ultrasonic abrupted destroy in group A were higher than those before sham ultrasonic abrupted destroy ( P ＜0.05).FI and VD in group B were significantly lower than those after abrupted destroy( P ＜0.05).There were no difference of length,fluroscent area of tumor in group B between pre- and post- ultrasonic abrupted destroy (P ＞0.05).Length,fluroscent area,FI and VD of each tumor in groups C were decreased significantly compared with post ultrasonic abrupted destroy ( P ＜0.01 ).There were significant difference of length,fluroscent area,FI and VD of each tumor among groups after ultrasonic abrupted destroy( P ＜0.05).Conclusions VEGFR2 mAb-loaded lipid microbubble combined with ultrasonic abrupted destroy can improve the therapeutic efficacy of colonic tumor.

Objective To investigate the effect of Miao medicine Jinwu Jiangu decoction containing serum freeze-dried powder on levels of IL-17,ACT1 and TRAF6 in human rheumatoid arthritis fibroblast like synoviocytes (RA-HFLS).Methods Rabbits were randomly divided into blank control group (recieving normal saline of the same volume),Jinwu Jiangu decoction high-dose,medium-dose and low-dose group (intragastrically administrated with Jinwu Jiangu decoction at doses of 14.4,4.8 and 2.4 g·kg-1,respectively),tripterygium glycosides group and prednisone group (treated with human equivalent dosage).RA-HFLS primary cell model was established in the experiment.ELISA method was used to detect effect of lyophilized powder on IL-17 secretion.Expression of ACT1,TRAF6 mRNA was detected by RT-PCR.Results Compared with the blank control gorup,IL-17 in the supernatant of each medication administration group was significantly decreased (all P<0.01),and it was decreased most significantly in Jinwu Jiangu decoction high-dose and medium-dose group.IL-17 was down-regulated more significantly in high-dose group than that in tripterygium glycosides group (P<0.01).Compared with the blank control group,TRAF6 and ACT1 mRNA expression level of each medication administration group were significantly decreased (all P<0.01),and in the high-dose group that were decreased most significantly,but not significantly different as compared with tripterygium glycosides group and prednisone group (P>0.05).Conclusion Freeze-dried powder of Jinwu Jiangu decoction can decrease the secretion of IL-17 and down-regulate expression of ACT1,TRAF6 with RA-HFLS.

In order to understand the distribution of schistosomiasis in mobile population in Guangxi zhuang Autonomous Region, field investigation was conducted in 19 endemic villages selected by cluster sampling. The mobile people who were older than 3 years old were investigated by questionnaire and indirect hemagglutination( IHA) , then the IHA-positive ones were detected by fecal examination. Meanwhile, a snail survey was carried out. The results showed that a total of 2 866 people were investigated , among which 1 380 came from 143 endemic areas. A total of 2 428 people were involved in IHA examination with a positive rate of 3.46% , and the rate of people from endemic areas were significantly higher than that of ones from non-endemic areas( P < 0.01). Sixty people were involved in fecal examination, and the results were all negative. An area of 899. 3 hm~2 was surveyed, and the snail area was 4.97 hm~2, while none of positive snails were found. It is suggested that the mobile population is the main risk factor for potential schistosomiasis transmission in Guangxi, and the surveillance on this population should be strengthened.

Objective To estimate heart function among patients with diabetic foot ulcer,and to investigate the characteristics of heart failure(HF) before and after treatment of ulcer. Methods Items associated with diabetes and some physiological and biochemical indicators were observed in patients with diabetic foot ulcer(162 cases) and with high risk factors of ulcer(75 cases). Heart function was evaluated at patients′ admission, during ulcer related treatment, and prior to discharge. Left ventricular ejection fraction and other cardiac assessment were measured with ultrasonic scan.Results During hospitalization, 23.6%(56/237) patients underwent HF with normal left ventricular ejection fraction, and it was 27.2%(44/162) in patients with foot ulcers. The prevalence of HF was 8.9%(21/237) in all patients studied on admission, and that was 10.5%(17/162) in patients with foot ulcer, more than that without foot ulcer(P＜0.01). More patients with HF were found, being 14.8%(35/237) during 2-7 days after ulcer related treatment initiated, and peak was on the 4th day. There was statistical difference among different Wagner grades(P＜0.05) about the morbidity rate of HF. All patients with HF were improved and tolerant to ulcer related treatment. Conclusion The prevalence of HF with normal left ventricular ejection fraction was relatively high in patients with diabetic foot ulcer, especially after ulcer treatment.
