The protein components from single hair(1～5 cm in length)have been analysedby using mini SDS-gradient polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis(5.0～17.0%).Thekeratins from hairs of human,pan,comopithecus,hylobates,oryctolagus and caviawere compared.Keratin in human hair differed from the animal hairs in the lowmolecular weight components.The low-sulphur protein and high-sulphur proteinfrom hairs were determined by means of N-(3-pyrene)maleimide labelled hair proteins.The molecular weight of the former was within the range of 45,000～52,000 daltonwhile that of the latter within the range of

Objective To investigate the ultrasonic features and differential diagnosis of superficial neurilemmoma ,and improve diagnostic accuracy of superficial neurilemmoma by ultrasound .Methods Retrospectively analyse the ultrasonic findings of 51 ca-ses ,which confirmed for superficial neurilemmoma by pathology ,and analyse the misdiagnosis reason from the aspects of size , shape ,boundary ,internal echo ,blood flow signals .Results Superficial neurilemmoma had some characteristics in the shape ,bound-ary ,internal echo ,blood flow signals and so on .However ,the key point to differentiate it from other diseases was to identify the re-lationship with peripheral nerve .In this study ,the coincidence rate of ultrasonoic diagnosis with pathologic diagnosis was 78 .4% . Conclusion Superficial neurilemmoma have some similarity with neurofibroma or sebaceous cyst on ultrasonographic images .When making diagnosis ,especial attention should be paid to identify the relationship of neurilemmoma with peripheral nerve .

BACKGROUND: Research on selective attention of mobile visual information is relatively scarce because of difficulties in technology, methodology and experimental condition control. As is well known, most visual information in the real world is mobile and changeable. To examine the mechanism of mobile visual information is helpful to designing natural and highly efficient human-computer interface as well as selecting specialized personnel in special fields OBJECTIVE: To explore the distractive effect of the number, color, and form changes of distractors on multiple-target tracking performance. DESIGN: The present study was a 3 × 2 × 2 within subject design. Participants were undergraduates from Beijing Normal University.SETTING: Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning, Beijing Normal University.PARTICIPANTS: The experiment was performed in the Experimental Psychology Lab of Beijing Normal University in April 2003. Twenty-four undergraduates from Beijing Normal University participated in the experiment. Among them there were 11 males and 13 females aged 17-25 years.They all reported normal or corrected-to-normal vision and normal color perception.METHODS: ① Stimuli were presented on a 17-inch Founder monitor with the resolution of 1028 × 800 pixels. A Founder computer controlled the stimulus presentation and randomization of trials. Response latencies were collected by keyboard response with accuracy of one millisecond. The stimuli were randomly moving "日" characters. The number of "日" characters is 4, 8 and 12. As the participants were tracking the objects, the targets would transform to "(│)" and "(│)", and the distractors would change to "(│)" , "(│)", or "H" by removing lines from "日 ". All distractors and targets were red at the beginning of moving. ② The correct responses were analyzed with 3-factor repeated measures analysis of variance, multiple comparison analysis, and pairwise T-test.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Response time and accuracy of pressing the keys.RESULTS: The data of 24 participants were involved in the final statistical analysis. ① The three-factor repeated measures ANOVA results showed that the main effect of the number change of distractors was significant [F(1,22)=6.040, P ＜ 0.05]. The further ANOVA and pairwise comparison in different experiment conditions also showed no distractive effects when target and distractor had different shape but the same color [F(1,2,3)=9.965, P ＜ 0.01]. The further pairwise comparison indicated that when the number of distractors was 2 and 6, the participants' response latencies had no significant effects, and they had significant effect when the number of distractors was 2 and 10, or 6 and 10 (RT10-RT2=46 ms, P ＜ 0.05, two-tail test; RT10-RT6=28ms, P ＜ 0.05, one-tail test). These results showed that the increase in the number of distractors had distractive effects. ② There had no significant effect whether target and distractor had the same color or not, when the number of distractors was 2 and 10. And there had significant effects whether the color of target and distractor was the same or not when the number of distractors was 6; the same shape of target and distractor produced distractive effects (Tsame colons=1.926; Tdifferent colons=2.044,P ＜ 0.05, one-tail test). The main effect of the color was not significant. The further pairwise comparison showed the same result. That is,the color change of diatractors had no obvious distractive effect.CONCLUSION: ① There was distractive effect when the number of distractors increased while the shape and color of distractor and target were different. ② There was no distractive effect when the number of distractors increased while the shape of distractor and target was the same. ③ There was distractive effect when the number of distractors increased while the shape of distractor and target was different, and there was distractive effect when the color of distractor and target was the same.

Objective To evaluate the feasibility of endovascular repair for retrograde type A aortic dissection.Method 35 patients of retrograde type A aortic dissection admitted to Peking University People's Hospital from December 2001 to March 2014 were treated with endovascular repair.There were 33 males and 2 females with mean age of 46 ± 9 years.29 were on acute stage,2 on subacute stage and 4 on chronic stage.The entry tear was in the descending thoracic aorta in 32 cases,between the left subclavian artery and the left common carotid artery in one,and between the left common carotid artery and the innominate artery in two.Results Entry closure was achieved in all patients with a covered stent.2 patients died in 30 days postoperatively (5.7％).1 patient with two chimney developed acute renal artery embolized which was infused by false lumin (2.9％).One patient developed transient paraparesis after graft deployment(2.9％).During the follow-up period,the aortic remodeling is perfect,no entry tear was noted in the ascending thoracic aorta.All the endografts for preserving supra-aortic branches were patent.Conclusions The endovascular repair for retrograde type A aortic dissection is feasible and effective.

Objective To study the platelet antibody screening and crossing match by surface plasmon resonance(SPR) ,and to find a new way for platelet compatibility testing .Methods The corresponding universal platelet antigen was fixed on the SPR chip surface by the amino coupling method .Platelet antibody positive and negative control serum were analysed by SPR micro-ar-ray ,the stability ,sensitivity and specificity of this technique were discussed ,and compared with MAIPA assay .Finally we used the SPR technology to cross match for ten cases of the platelet antibody positive patients before infusion ,and to evaluate the effect of platelet infusion .Results For the SPR technology ,the stability ,sensitivity and specificity of platelet antibody detection were all better ,106 cases of the repeated platelet transfusion samples were tested by SPR assay and MAIPA method ,there was no signifi-cant difference between them(chi-square=0 .333 ,P>0 .05) ,the total consistency was 97 .2% .The 10 cases of platelet antibody positive patients were crossed match before platelet transfusion by SPR technology ,the good results of 8 cases of them were found by the clinical tracking evaluation ,1 h CCI>7 .5 ,24 h CCI>4 .5 .Conclusion SPR technology for screening platelet antibody mat-ches with MAIPA method in basic quality ,but SPR assay is simple ,rapid ,reliable and intuitive ,label free ,which can satisfy the re-quirements for clinical rapid detection of platelet antibody screening and crossing match .

AIM: To investigate the expression profile of peripheral-type benzodiazepine receptor(PBR) involved in mitochondrial permeability transition(PT) regulation,and to observe the binding dynamic of the mitochondrial PBR with specificity ligand during rat live regeneration.METHODS: Liver regeneration model was produced by 70% partial hepatectomy(PH) performed in male SD rats.The animals of sham groups underwent the same surgical operations as PH groups did,but the liver lobes were not resected.The animals in the PH groups and corresponding sham groups were sacrificed at 3,6,12,24,48,72,120 and 168 hours after the operation.The livers were removed,weighted and processed for isolation of mitochondria.Semi-quantitative RT-PCR was performed to examine the expression level of PBR in 70% hepatectomized rat livers during the whole regeneration process and compared to that in the sham and normal groups.Compared with healthy rats,the kinetic parameters of PBR was evaluated by using a specific radioligand -PK11195.RESULTS: Compared with healthy rats,the expression of PBR was unchanged.Meanwhile,the results obtained in the present experiments by scatchard analysis,Bmax of PK11195 for PBR significantly decreased,returned to normal level in 168 h after PH.Kd of PK11195 for PBR significantly decreased at 72 h and 168 h after PH of rat liver regeneration(P

The image segmentation method we use for leucocytes is based on image distance transformation, combining the region and edge approach, taking full advantage of image information. According to the shape, texture and color appearance of cells, we select 22 feature values and measure them. The classifier is designed on the statistical classification. A test for recognizing 831 leucocytes in 560 images shows that the classification accuracy is 96%. Clinical experts confirm this system; for it can automatically recognize leucocytes by pattern recognition technique, and it is demonstrably valid in practice.

Objective:To report a rare type of aortic arch aneurysm. Methods: Three cases of aortic arch aneurysm derived from the fourth aortic arch were retrospectively analyzed. The pathogenesis and treatment of this type of aortic arch aneurysm were investigated. Results:Most of the aneurysm body was located in the Z2 zone, which was the stem from the fourth aortic arch in the embryonic development period. All of the 3 cases could not be explained by common etiology. We speculated that the cause might be developmental anomaly of the fourth aortic arch. All the 3 aortic arch aneurysms were totally ex-cluded with a covered stent. The technical success rate was 100%. Endoleak of typeⅠwas seen in one case, which was resolved in a later open surgery. During the follow-up, no type of complications was found. Conclusion:To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of this type of aortic arch aneurysm. The cause may be developmental anomaly of the fourth aortic arch. Endovascular treatment of this type of aortic arch aneurysm is feasible.

SUMMARY An involved internal iliac artery is usually embolized when performing endovascular aneu -rysm repair for aortoiliac or isolated iliac artery aneurysm .This can lead to complications such as buttock claudication ,colon ischaemia and erectile dysfunction .Iliac branch device ( IBD ) is an endograft de-signed specifically for iliac bifurcation to preserve internal iliac flow .It was performed with high technical success rates and encouraging mid-term patency .Here we report a case of right iliac aneurysm developed 3 years after endovascular aneurysm repair for an aortoiliac aneurysm , with the patient ’ s left internal ar-tery been sacrificed then .Using a handmade IBD , we excluded the aneurysm without occlusion of the ip-silateral internal iliac artery or any type of endoleak .Both the design and deployment of this IBD are dis-tinctive that we would like to share our experience with all the colleagues .

Objective To evaluate iliac artery rupture during endovascular treatment of aorto-iliac disease and treatment with covered stent.Methods From November 2008 to August 2014,iliac artery rupture happened in 8 patients of 225 patients of aorto-iliac artery disease admitted to our hospital.Clinical data of the 8 patients were analyzed retrospectively.Four were of intraoperative rupture and four were of delayed rupture.The aorto-iliac diease of all the 8 patients were TSAC D.Direct placement of a covered stent was performed in all the cases,except for one patient who refused further treatment.Results All of the procedures finally achieved technical success and all patients become hemodynamically stable.One patient was complicated with heart failure who died of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome.Another one died of aspiration.5 patients were followed up from 9-52 moths,average 9-52 moths without recurrence.Conclusions Iliac artery rupture is a serious and life-threatening complication in the endovascular treatment of aorto-iliac disease.Covered stent provided a safe and effective treatment for iliac perforations.
