Objective:To explore the therapeutic effect of Chinese herbal medicine for prevention and treatment of acute radiation oropharyngeal inflammation of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.Methods:120 cases of nasopharyngeal carcinoma were randomly divided into an experiment group of 60 cases treated with Chinese herbal medicine and a control group of 60 cases with gargling of Dobell's solution.The incidence rate and the extent of radiation oropharyngeal inflammation,total therapeutic time and short-term therapeutic effect in both groups were investigated.Results:There was no oropharyngeal inflammation of grade 0 in both groups. The incidence rate of radiation oropharyngeal inflammation in the experiment group was significantly lower and the effective rate was significantly higher than those in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion:Chinese herbal medicine combined with radiotherapy can relieve acute radiotherapy oropharyngeal inflammation in the patient of nasopharyngeal carcinoma with no significant adverse reaction and do not influence the short-term therapeutic effect.

Objective To compare the effects of honey dressing and silver sulfadiazine dressing for wound healing in burn patients by Meta-analysis.Methods All the randomized controlled trials were collected by searching many kinds of databases in or out of the country to compare honey dressing with silver sulfadiazine dressing for wound healing in burn patients.Review Manager 5.2 was used to analyze the effects.Results Six randomized controlled trials (RCT) were included.Honey dressing was much better than silver sulfadiazine dressing for burn wounds,while there were no significant differences in positive rate of wound swab culture and healing days.Conclusions It can be proved that honey dressing has an advantage over silver sulfadiazine dressing in the wound healing days within 21 and final outcome.Whether honey dressing is superior to silver sulfadiazine dressing in antibacterial effects and healing days remains to be studied with adequate,powerful,high quality randomized controlled trials.

Objective: To study rDNA ITS (internal transcribed spacers) sequences variation from di erent population of Aquilaria sinensis in main habitat of China. Methods: The rDNA ITS regions of various A. sinensis were ampli ed by PCR method and sequenced, and they were analyzed by means of the software of CLUSTAL and MEGA. Results: The sequences of rDNA ITS region of A. sinensis were reported for the rst time, and the sequences of ITS region were 680bp (ITS1 246bp, 5.8S 163bp, ITS2 271bp). There were 6 variable sites among populations and the genetic distance were 0.0% to 1.1%,which indicated the intraspecific genetic variation was low of A. sinensis. Conclusion: The variation of rDNA ITS sequences can be used to authenticate A.sinensis from di erent geographical regions and their adulterants.

Objective To construct a cDNA library of three-year old Polygonum multiflorum leaf tissues so as to further research the gene regulation of secondary metabolite biosynthesis of medicinal plants. Methods Total RNA from leaf tissues of P.multiflorum was extracted and mRNA was purified,which were synthesized to double strand cDNA through reverse transcription.After the cDNA termini was blunted,the 5' end of EcoR Ⅰ adapters phosphorylated was conjoined,and then digested by Xho Ⅰ,cDNA fragments were fractionated by Sepharose CL-2B spin column.The fragments longer than 400 bp were linked to Uni-ZAP XR vector.The primary cDNA library was established after the recombinants had been packaged.Uni-ZAP XR Vector might fleetly release pBluescript SK-phasmids at the presence of ExAssist helper phage of coinfection and inverted E.coli SOLR.Finally,PCR and double enzymes digestion were used to analyze the range of inserts,respectively. Results The titer of cDNA primary library was 1.07?106pfu/mL and the length of exogenous insert was at about 0.5-2.0 kb with 5.4?105 recombinants,the recombinants of amplified library were 4.25?1011 and the rate of recombination was 98.5%. Conclusion The results indicate that the cDNA library of P.multiflorum leaf tissues has enough volume for screening the desired genes and sets up a basis for studying on gene regulation of secondary metabolite biosynthesis of medicinal plants besides.

OBJECTIVE:To discuss the correlation between antibacterial drug use and the bacterial drug resistance in the hospital where the authors work.METHODS:The DDDs of antibacterials during the period from2002to2004were counted,and the correlation between DDDs and bacterial drug resistance was analyzed.RESULTS:The total DDD of the antibacterials increased by47.14%in this period.To2004,the resistance rates of4major pathogens to9commonly used categories of antibacterials were more than44%.The DDDs of amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium,ampicillin sodium/sulbactam sodium,cefoperazone sodium/sulbactam sodium increased by4,19.8and7times,respectively in the3years,the resistance rates of pathogens to which also evidently increased,among which staphylococcus aureus increased by over22%.CONCLU_ SION:The hospital should strengthen the administration of antibacterial drug use in many ways to reduce the bacterial drug resistance.

Objective To investigate the effects of inhaling high concentration of hydrogen gas on the expressions of endoplasmic reticulum stress(ERS) related protein glucose regulated protein 78 (GRP78),Caspase-12 and the neural cell apoptosis and related proteins Bcl-2 and Bax in the rats with focal cerebral ischemia reperfusion(I/R) injury.Methods Seventy-two healthy SPF male Sprague-Dawley rats were selected and then randomly divided into the control group(Ⅰ:without any treatment),sham operation group (Ⅱ),cerebral IRI group (Ⅲ) and hydrogen gas treatment group (Ⅳ),18 cases in each group.Focal cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury (IRI) model was induced by using the suture-occluded method.The neurological deficits score (NDS) was assessed at 24 h after cerebral reperfusion in four groups.The cerebral infarction severity and size were detected by TTC staining and neuronal apoptosis of brain cortex were tested by TUNEL technique.The apoptosis index (AI) was calculated.Then the expressions of GRP78,Caspase-12,Bcl-2 and Bax were assessed by Western blot and immunohistochemistry.Results As compared with the group Ⅰ and Ⅱ,NDS score,cerebral infarction size,AI and the expressions of GRP78,Caspase-12 and Bax in cerebral cortex in the group Ⅲl and Ⅳ were significantly increased,while the expression of Bcl-2 in cerebral cortex was markedly decreased(P＜0.05);compared with the group Ⅲ,NDS score,brain infarction size,AI and the expression of Caspase-12 and Bax in cerebral cortex in the group Ⅳ were markedly decreased,while the expressions of GRP78 and Bcl-2 were dramatically increased (P＜0.05).Conclusion Inhaling high concentration of hydrogen gas has a certain protective effect on cerebral IRI in rats through increasing endoplasmic reticulum GRP78 protein expression after IRI and inhibiting Caspase-12 activation,thus inhibiting ERS and promoting the repair function of endoplasmic reticulum.

Objective To observe the effect of ultra-low frequency transcranial magnetic stimulation on cerebral blood flow in children with spastic diplegia cerebral palsy. Methods 36 cases of spastic diplegia cerebral palsy were divided into control group (n=21) and obsevation group (n=15), 19 healthy children were as normal group. The control group received conventional rehabilitation training. The obsevation group received the ultra-low frequency transcranial magnetic stimulation in addition. All the children received the check of transcranial color Doppler (TCD). Results Several arterials flow velocity was lower, several arterials pulsatility index and resistance index were higher in the obsevation group than in the normal group before treatment (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the arterial flow of obsevation group improved, pulsatility index and resistance index decreased in some degrees in the obsevation group after treatment (P<0.05). Conclusion The cerebral blood flow is of low velocity and high resistance in spastic diplegia children, while ultra-low frequency magnetic stimulation could improve the condition of cerebral flow.

Objective To determine the association of one single nucleotide polymorphism loci G 398C in PRM2 with male in‐fertility in Chinese Han population .Methods A total of 386 infertile men were recruited as the observation group and 255 fertile men were recruited as the control group .Routine semen analysis as well as sperm functional parameters such as DNA integrity and nucleoprotein maturity rates were analyzed .Direct sequencing of G398C in PRM2 gene of infertile and fertile men was also conduc‐ted to evaluate the association of G398C SNP loci with male infertility .Results Statistical analysis showed that the frequencies of CC genotype of PRM2 G398C was significantly different between the infertile (11 .92% ) and fertile men (6 .67% ) and it was asso‐ciated with increased risk of male infertility (OR= 2 .002 ,95% CI= 1 .097 -3 .653 ,P< 0 .05) .Moreover ,it was discovered that sperm DNA integrity as well as nucleoprotein maturity rate of CC genotype were dramatically decreased compared with other geno ‐types (P<0 .05) ,which would probably lead to infertility .Conclusion Our results gave the first evidence that PRM 2 G398C poly‐morphism was associated with male infertility in Chinese Han population .

Objective To study the changes of neutrophil surface molecule CD64 and inflammatory factor levels in patients with burn infection. Methods 46 cases of patients with burn infection who were treated in the department of burn in our hospital between March 2010 and October 2015 were selected as the observation group. Meanwhile, 46 cases of healthy people who underwent physical examination in our hospital during the same period were included in the control group. The levels of neutrophil surface molecule CD64, C-reactive protein (CRP), white blood cell count (WBC) and inflammatory factor [interleukin IL-6 (IL-6), interleukin (IL-8), tumor necro-sis factor (TNF-α) in the two groups of subjects were determined by flow cytometry and were compared. Results In the observation group, the levels of CD64, CRP, WBC and inflammatory factors were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion The levels of CD64, CRP, WBC and inflammatory factors in patients with burn infection are significantly higher than those in healthy people , which indicates that neutrophil surface molecule CD64, inflammatory factors and burn infection are closely correlated.

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of Jin’s three-needle acupuncture plus intelligence training in treating mental retardation in children under 6 years old. Methods Three hundred mental retardation patients aged 0 to 6 were randomly allocated, according to their parents’ willingness, to treatment and control groups, 150 cases each. The treatment group received Jin’s three-needle acupuncture plus intelligence training and the control group, intelligence training alone. An assessment was made using Chinese revised version of the Gesell Developmental Schedules in both groups before and after treatment.Results The total efficacy rate was 84.7% in the treatment group and 73.3% in the control group; there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). The total efficacy rates in liver-kidney deficiency, heart-spleen deficiency, phlegm and blood stasis, and qi deficiency and blood stasis types were 86.8%, 86.8%, 76.5% and 75.0%, respectively, in the treatment group and 76.2%, 76.8%, 62.5% and 60.0%, respectively, in the control group. There were statistically significant differences in the total efficacy rates in different syndrome types between the two groups (P<0.05). The total efficacy rates in the patients with mild, moderate, severe and very severe diseases were 96.9%, 94.7%, 66.7% and 44.4%, respectively, in the treatment group and 90.0%, 82.5%, 47.8% and 35.3%, respectively, in the control group. There was a statistically significant difference in the total efficacy rate between the two groups of patients with moderate, severe or very severe disease (P<0.05).Conclusion Jin’s three-needle acupuncture plus intelligence training is an effective way to treat mental retardation in children.
