Objective:To explore the effect of thymopentin (TP5) on the choice of ethanol and ameliorating withdrawal symptoms (anxiety) of ethanol in mice. Methods: Mice were administered ethanol (v/v) in schedular fashion: 5% (1 week), 10% (1 week) and 15% (4 weeks), followed with the free choice between ethanol and water. Ethanol/(ethanol+water)?100% E/(E+W)?100% was measured as an index of ethanol selection. Light-dark box test and elevated plus maze test were chosen for the assessment of anxiety pre-drug and post-drug. After TP5 0.2 mg/(kg?d), 0.4 mg/(kg?d), ip or saline(vehicle control), ip for 14 days,the procedure was repeated. Result: (1) E/(E+W)?100%: the post-drug values of TP5 (0.2 mg/kg, 0.4 mg/kg) were lower significantly than the pre-drug values. (2) Light-dark box test: the post-drug values of number of entries and time spent in the light chamber of TP5 (0.2 mg/kg, 0.4 mg/kg) were more than the pre-drug values themselves and the post-drug value of saline. (3) Elevated plus maze test: the post-drug values of time spent on open arms of TP5 (0.2 mg/kg, 0.4 mg/kg) were more than the pre-drug values themselves and the post-drug value of saline,and the post-drug values of time spent on close arms of TP5 were less than the pre-drug values. Conclusion: TP5 could decrease the uptake of ethanol and ameliorate anxious behavior associated with ethanol withdrawal in mice.

Objective: To observe the anemia situation and pregnancy outcome of pregnant women with iron deficiency anemia ( IDA) treated with polysaccharide iron complex. Methods:Totally 102 patients with IDA were randomly divided into the control group (51 cases) and the study group (51 cases). The control group was treated with iron dextran tablets orally, and the study group re-ceived polysaccharide iron complex. The improvement of anemia and the pregnancy outcome were compared, and the adverse reactions were recorded. Results:After the treatment, hemoglobin ( Hb) , serum iron ( SI) , serum ferritin ( SF) and serum transferrin receptor ( sTfR) at 24-week pregnancy and before the delivery, the red cell count ( RBC) and mean corpuscular hemoglobin ( MCH) before the delivery in the study group were all better than those in the control group (P<0. 05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups was similar. Conclusion:Polysaccharide iron complex can improve anemia status of pregnant women with IDA, which is worthy of widely clinical use.

Objective To explore the effect of low-dose imfepristone on the endometrial simple hyperplasia.Methods Study group were randomly divided into two groups.43 cases in group mifepristone,43 cases in group norethindrone and control group were 20 cases.The endometrial histopathology and the contents of ER and PR were examined before and after the treatment.The changes of endometrial thickness and hemoglobin were detected,too.Results The endometria were all simple hyperplasia before taking the medicine and turned to proliferative stage after taking mifepristone and norethindrone.There were significant difference compared with taking the medicine before(P＜0.05).However,there were no statistical difference between two groups after taking the medicine(P＞0.05).The endometrial ER and PR were significantly depressed after taking the medicine compared with before in study group(P＜0.05).There were no significant difference between control group and group mifepristone after taking mifepristone(P＞0.05).But there were significant difference between controI group and group norethindrone after taking norethindrone(P＜0.05).The endometrum were significant turned thin and the contents of hemoglobin were significantly risen up after taking the medicine in study group(P＜0.05).But the contents of hemoglobin were significantly risen up after taking the medicine in group mifepristone compared with group norethindrone(P＜0.05).Conclusions Low-dose mifepristone can inhibit endometrial simple hyperplasia and turn the endometria from simple hyperplasia to proliferative stage.Low-dose mifepristone may adjust the endometrial ER and PR for inhibitting endometrial hyperplasia and make the expression of endometrial ER and PR decrease.But the contents of ER and PR were more close to normal after taking mifepristone.Low-dose mifepristone can attenuate the endometria and regain the hemoglobin fast.There are seldom side-effects after taking low-dose mifepristone.

YKL-40 (human cartilage glycoprotein 39) is a newly discovered inflammatory cytokine, which belongs to the member of 18 glycosyl hydrolase of mammal family. Previous studies have indicated that YKL-40 is associated with the acute or chronic inflammatory diseases and tumors. Studies in recent years have suggested that YKL-40 may be involved in the occurrence and development of atherosclerotic plaques, and it is correlated with the plaque instability. The physiological function and the mechanisms of YKL-40 are not fully understood. It may have the roes of promoting vascular smooth muscle migration and proliferation, promoting cell adhesion and proliferation, as well as regulating extracellular matrix remodeling The detection of YKL-40 may have some significance in the aided diagnosis, predicting prognosis, prevention of cardiocerebrovascular diseases, and even the establishment of new therapeutic strategies.

ObjectiveTo investigate the feasibility and superiority of video-assisted minithoracotomy surgery (VAMT) in treatment of adolescent patients with primary spontaneous pneumothorax. MethodsThe clinical data of 103 adolescent patients with spontaneous pneumothorax were analyzed retrospectively. VAMTS was performed in 56 cases and video-assisted thoracoseopic surgery(VATS) was performed in 47 cases. complications Statistical analysis were undergoing in middle-operation, post-operation and ambi-operation in the two groups were analyzed. ResultsNo statistically significant difference were found in blood loss ,operating time,pain grade, out-of-bed activity time, antibiotics use time,chest drainage time,hospital day pulmonary infection between the two groups( all P ＞0.05 ). The cost of hospitalization was lower in VAMTS group compare to VATS group ( P ＜ 0.05). ConclusionVAMT in treatment of adolescent patients with primary spontaneous pneumothorax had the advantage of simple performance, reliable effectiveness, practical,lower cost of hospitalization fee.

Objective To investigate transmission routes of healthcare-associated infection(HAI)caused by methi-cillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA),and make effective measures for preventing and controlling the oc-currence and epidemic of HAI caused by multidrug-resistance bacteria.Methods From February 24 to March 29, 2012,12 MRSA-infected patients were performed epidemiological study,these patients underwent bronchoscopy be-cause of tracheal stenosis,strains were identified by amplifying the sequences of 16S rRNA ,femA and mecA with real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR),homology analysis of strains were performed by Spa geno-typing.Results All 12 MRSA-infected patients were susceptible to multidrug-resistance bacterial infection,5 cases of MRSA infection occurred during this hospitalization.Detection of specimens from health care workers and envi-ronment were all negative;Spa gene of all 12 MRSA isolates was type t 030 ,which was the main epidemic strain in Asia;Spa gene of Staphylococcus aureus isolated from nurses’noses was type t1425 .Conclusion The assumption of MRSA spread among health care workers aren’t supported by the epidemiological investigation results,genotypes of 12 MRSA isolates are identical,but the result of gene typing can’t be as the evidence of homology of infection ;patients at high risk for MRSA infection should be screened as early as possible,early contact isolation should be performed,so as to prevent and control the occurrence of HAI.

BACKGROUND:Patients with Parkinson disease (PD) are always supplied exogenous dopamine so as to balance a disproportion of neurotransmitter.However,a long-term administration may easily cause drug resistance;therefore,it is not able to solve nerve injuries at all.A lot of researches suggest that ganglioside can promote neural axon growth,improve neurotrophy,and resist cellular toxicity mediated by glutamic acid (GA).OBJECTIVE:To probe into the duration and effect of oraL administration of ganglioside on improving clinical symptoms of PD patients.DESIGN:Retrospective case analysis.SETTING:Department of Internal Medicine.Shanghai Electric Power Hospital;Departments of Neurosurgery and Internal Medicine,the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical College.PARTICIPANTS:A total of 6 344 PD patients were selected from Heilongjiang,Hebei,Shandong,Henan, Beijing,Jiangsu,Gansu,Qinghai.Guizhou,Fujian,Hunan,Shanxi, Hubei,Sichuan,Chongqing,Jiangxi, Shanghai and Yunnan from January 2001 to January 2005.All patients met the diagnostic and typing criteria of PD in Practical Neurology.They orally took≥10 mg/d ganglioside for more than 1 month,and all of them were provided the consent.METHODS:Patients who were treated with oral ganglioside accepted neural functional rehabilitation. Every oral solution of ganglioside contained 0.25 g/L ganglioside [including monosialoteterahexosyl ganglioside 1 (21%),diplo-sialoteterahexosyl ganglioside 1a(40%),diplo-sialoteterahexosyl ganglioside 1 b(16%),and tri-sialoteterahexosyl ganglioside 1b(19%)],and patients fastingly took two ampoules in every morning and 2 in every evening before sleeping, or took 4 ampoules in every evening before sleeping. Every 3 months was regarded as a course, and patients were always treated for two or three courses;especially,patients having a long-term duration were treated for above 4 courses.Regular follow-up was performed during the administration to observe the improvements of PD patients on the aspects of chatter, myotone, bradypraxia,posture irregularity, etc. Effective evaluation: Iilness improvements of PD patients who orally took ganglioside were observed within 3,6,9 months and 1 year.Excellent effective: Chatter and myotone disappeared after gradually stopping administration of dopamine preparation;improvement: Symptoms mentioned above were relieved after gradually reducing administration of dopamine preparation (effect=apparent effect+improvement);inefficacy:Symptoms mentioned above were not changed.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Effect at various time Points of administration.RESULTS:Among 5 937 patients who met the inclusion criteria,all of them were involved in the final analysis without any loss.① Improvement of clinical symptoms at various time points of administration:There were 669 PD patients with the effective improvements within 1-3 months.941 within 4-6 months and 1713 within 7-12 months.The total effective rate was 56%.② Therapeutic effective rate of PD patients at various administrating times:The therapeutic effective rates of patients who received administration from 1 to 3 months,from 4 to 6 months and from 7 to 12 months were 30%,57%and 84%respectively.The rate was higher of patients administrated from 4 to 6 months than.of those from 1 co 3 months(P<0.05),and also higher of those from 7 to 12 months than of those from 4 tp 6 months and from 1 to 3 months (P<0.05,P<0.01).CONCLUSION:Ganglioside can effectively improve clinical symptoms,such as chatter,myotone,bradypraxia,posture irregularity,etc.In addition,it has a better effect during a long-term administration.

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of hospital environmental cleaning practice by fluorescence labeling method.Methods From January to February 2015,312 ward rooms in 7 hospitals were chosen,high touch object surface were labeled with fluorescence,after object surface being cleaned by cleaners,clearance rates of fluorescence labeling were calculated (as baseline survey data),training and on-site guidance for cleaners were performed(intervention measures),fluorescence labeling clearance effect before and after intervention was compared.Results A total of 110 ward rooms were performed baseline survey,the fluorescence labeling clearance rate of 2 856 touched clean surface was only 50.81％,the quantitative evaluation value was 45.70;after intervention,202 rooms were surveyed,fluorescence labeling clearance rate of 3 992 touched clean surface enhanced to 79.23 ％,the quantitative evaluation value was 76.30;there was significant difference in fluorescence labeling clearance rate between before and after intervention (x2 =612.14,P＜0.05).In the baseline survey,the clearance rates of fluorescence labeling on touched surface of medical instruments,hospital beds,and toilets were 46.07％,37.80％,and 25.20％ respectively;after intervention,the clearance rates were 80.59％,75.90％,and 51.70％,respectively.After intervention,fluorescence labeling clearance rates of beepers,toilet seat covers,toilet electrical switches,and chairs were low,the clearance rates of these touched surface in baseline survey were＜ 30％,after intervention were 47.03 ％-68.32％;the clearance rates of other high touch surface were all＞75 ％.Conclusion Fluorescence labeling method can directly reflect the operation quality of cleaners,and improve the cleanliness of ward environment,it is a simple,inexpensive and objective globally popular method for evaluating hospital environment cleanliness.
