Objective To improve the diagnosis and treatment of asymptomatic adrenal pheochromocytoma. Method The clinical data of 33 patients with asymptomatic adrenal pheochromocytoma were reviewed. Results All the patients were not preut with typical signs and symptoms of pheochromocytoma, 16 patients were found adrenal mass by routine physical examination, 15 patients presented with superior abdominal or flank pain, 1 patient was fever and 1 patient was diarrhea. Most of patients were prent with round mass with low density in the center of the tumor,5 patients had elevated level of plasma epinephrine and norepinephrine (16% ,5/31),24 hours urine CA and VMA were elevated in 6 patients (24%, 6/25) and 5 patients (20%, 5/25) respectively, 26 patients who were suspected pheochromocytoma preoperatively were treated with α-adrenergic blockade (prazosin) to control the blood pressure or with intravenous colloid fluids and blood transfusion to expand intravascular volume before operation. The tumors were removed successfully in 32 patients, and biopsy was done in 1 patient because of the serious invasion to the vena cava by the tumor. All the patients were diagnosed pheochromocytoma histopathologically, and followed up for 1 month to 7 years, no tumor recurrence. Conclusions The patients with asymptomatic adrenal pheochromocytoma have lower catecholamine excretion in their plasma and urine. Combination of modem imaging examinations are useful methods to diagnose asymptomatic adrenal pheochromocytoma. To lower the risk of operation, the control of blood pressure and the expanding of intravascular volume are important for the patients with huge adrenal mass or typical suspected appearance of pheochromocytoma.

Objective:To analyze the risk factors of deep venous thrombosis (DVT) in patients with tibial plateau fracture during preoperative period. Methods:From July 2017 to October 2019, a total of 264 patients undergoing surgeries of tibial plateau fractures were enrolled. Duplex ultrasonography (DUS) during hospitalization was used to screen for DVT of the bilateral lower extremities. Patients were divided into DVT group and non-DVT group according to results of DUS. Data on demographics, comorbidities, injury-related data, fracture type, laboratory biomarkers were collected and compared between groups with and without DVT.Results:The incidence of preoperative DVT was 39.0% (103/264) among 264 patients with traumatic tibial plateau fractures, and distal thrombosis predominated in DVT group. There were 103 cases in DVT group. 55 were males and 48 were females. The average age was 54.00±11.12. According to the Schatzker classification of tibial plateau fractures, 7 cases belonged to type I, 37 to type II, 2 to type III, 11 to type IV, 29 to type V, and 17 to type VI. There were 161 cases in non-DVT group. 89 were males and 72 were females. The average age was 48.57±13.25. According to the Schatzker classification of tibial plateau fractures, 23 cases belonged to type I, 76 to type II, 2 to type III, 10 to type IV, 33 to type V, and 17 to type VI. Univariate analysis showed that age ( t=3.451, P=0.001), the type of tibial plateau fracture ( χ2=8.314, P=0.004), D-dimer ( χ2=18.552, P<0.001), APTT ( t=2.869, P=0.004), ALB ( t=2.292, P=0.023) and Hb ( t=1.983, P=0.048) were statistically different than those in non-DVT group. Multivariate analysis showed age ( OR=1.033, 95% CI: 1.009, 1.058; P=0.007), the type of tibial plateau fracture ( OR=1.829, 95% CI: 1.014, 3.299; P=0.045) and D-dimer ( OR=1.914, 95% CI: 1.057, 3.464; P=0.032) were independent risk factors. Conclusion:The incidence of DVT in patients with tibial plateau fractures during preoperative period is high, and distal thrombosis is the main part of venous thrombosis of lower extremity. The type of tibial plateau fracture, age and the level of D-dimer are independent risk factors of preoperative DVT in patients with tibial plateau fractures.

【Objective】 To study the effect of air inlet modes on the temperature variation, fluctuation, uniformity and coefficient of variation(CV), so as to evaluate the stability and uniformity of the temperature field in refrigerated warehouse for blood. 【Methods】 The temperature changes of blood refrigerated warehouse under different modes of air inlet during compressor operation were analyzed. The stability of the temperature field in the storehouse was evaluated by the changes, fluctuation, uniformity, CV and deviation of temperature at each testing point. 【Results】 The average value of temperature in the storehouse, adopting air inlet via straight blow, was (4.98±0.92)℃, while that of air inlet via micro-hole mode was(4.15±0.25)℃, with significant differences between each other(P<0.05). As to the CV of temperature, air inlet via straight blow was significantly different from that via micro hole(P<0.01). The fluctuation, uniformity and deviation of temperature created by straight blow and micro hole were 1.85±1.11 vs 0.49±0.38, 1.00±0.68 vs 0.47±0.37, and 0.61±0.45 vs 0.27±0.21, respectively, with significant differences between each other(P<0.01). 【Conclusion】 Compared with straight blow, the mean temperature created by micro hole was closer to the median value (4℃) of the temperature range, i. e.(4±2)℃, during blood storage. Otherwise, micro hole demonstrated a smaller CV of temperature, and superior performance in fluctuation, uniformity and deviation of the temperature at the testing points, which was conducive to ensure the stability of storehouse temperature field.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effect of occupational exposure to toluene diisocyanate (TDI) on the workers' health.
METHODSA total of 76 workers exposed to TDI (exposure group) and 64 management staff members (control group) were selected from a factory as the study subjects. Area sampling was performed for the place with exposure to TDI according to the method in GBZ 159-2004 Specifications of air sampling for hazardous substances monitoring in the workplace, and gas chromatography was applied to measure the concentration of TDI in workplace air. The workers' personal information was collected with questionnaire, pulmonary ventilation function was determined with a portable spirometer, hematological parameters were analyzed by automatic blood analyzer and blood chemistry analyzer, and the indicators of oxidative damage and energy metabolism were measured by the reagent kit provided by Nanjing Jiancheng Bioengineering Institute. SPSS 17 software was applied for statistical analysis.
RESULTSThe exposure group had significantly lower forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in 1 second(FEV1.0), and FEV1.0/FVC ratio than the control group (P <0.05). Compared with the control group, the exposure group had significantly higher red blood cell count, platelet distribution width, mean platelet volume, lymphocyte count, and neutrophil count(P<0.01), and significantly lower activities of lactate dehydrogenase(LDH), superoxide dismutase, and succinodehydrogenase (SDH)(P <0.01). In the exposure group, the length of exposure was negatively correlated with the activities of SDH and LDH in the serum (r=-0.319, P <0.05; r=-0.239, P <0.05), and the length of exposure was not found to be correlated with the activity of SOD and pulmonary function indices.
CONCLUSIONTDI can induce inflammatory response and lung ventilation function impairment in workers exposed to TDI, as well as oxidative stress and imbalance of energy metabolism. Therefore, it can cause damage to workers' health, and protective measures should be enhanced.
